This one time, I read an absolutely terrible "Fairly Odd Parents" creepypasta where Timmy was just hallucinating Wanda and Cosmo because his real life was so miserable that he was disassociating and he actually just had 2 dead fish floating in a tank and his friends were actually dead and his parents and Vicky were abusing him for wearing pink, and, you know, pretty standard "grimdark kids show" stuff that became popular in the years after Rugrats Theory came out; but it stuck in my mind because there was this one scene where Timmy's dad throws open the door and shouts "Time for your morning beating!" And I keep imagining that line with his characteristic delivery, like

"Tiiiime for your morning beating, son!"

It haunts me.

Turner: Is oblivious to Vicky’s abuse and neglects Timmy, in an alternative timeline, he became a dictator because he didn't win a trophy, and if he'd had Timmy then, he would have traded Timmy for the trophy no question. That attitude did not change between timelines. Honestly it's a surprise he even knows Timmy's name.

Summary:

(takes place during Wishology Part 2) Wanda has never been fond of Timmy's parents, and she finds her patience with them being pushed to the limit when Mr and Mrs Turner are able to readily accept aliens, fairies, and ancient prophecies... But not the idea of their son being important.

Preview:

"So, to summarize," Mrs Turner said once the fairies had finished explaining the situation, again, "we've been kidnapped by a hostile alien race..."

Mr Turner continued, "...who wanted us out of the way so that they could assume our forms in order to trick Timmy into trusting them?"

Cosmo nodded. "Yep."

"That's the long and short of it," Wanda agreed. She had Poof in her arms and was busy bottle-feeding him while the adults talked. 

Over the course of her long, long life, Wanda had learned to be grateful for the small things — right now, she was just happy that the Eliminators hadn't searched them before throwing them in this cell. Poof could get fussy when he was hungry.

...Although, he didn't seem fussy at the moment. His expression was tight and unhappy, but not like he was going to start crying, the way that Cosmo did. It was more like Poof was plotting something, trying to think of a way to fix this situation, the way that Wanda did.

Wanda turned her attention away from her baby and back to the conversation when Mrs Turner spoke again. "And, just to be clear, all of this is happening because our son is some sort of prophesied 'Chosen One' who's meant to save the world and put an end to an ancient evil?"

Cosmo and Wanda shared a tired look.

Re-watching BMW again, and I'm back at the episode where Chet comes back after like a year (surely by accident), and I always get pissed off.

Turner was a good guardian, and frankly, given Chet's running off after his wife rather than be there for Shawn in the first place, Turner is the better place for him. Turner actually cares about him, and goes through so much for someone in his mid-twenties suddenly in charge of a teenager.

Shawn should've stayed with him.

Especially when you consider that Chet then goes on to kick Shawn out to live with his brother (WHAT EVEN?) and then, skips town rather than be there for EITHER of the boys and then, dies.

Like WTF. Verna isn't any better, but like WHY put Shawn back with Chet? He's clearly not father material.
