Hey! Can you tell us anything re Rojda not being on S3? Is it absolutely for certain? That indeed sucks quite a bit if that's really the case :/

Her instagram bio was changed from "Young Royals" to "Young Royals s1 and s2". I thought it was odd she hadn't posted anything to her story or made any posts so I went to check. I had been noticing recently that she was making posts about other projects so I had a feeling she wouldn't be available due to scheduling conflicts.

I'm sad she's not coming back but I'm not gonna fret over it. This is just how filmmaking works. Scheduling conflicts are very common and I can imagine Rojda wants to branch out and direct other things to advance her career, as she should, but I have no doubt her work on the first two seasons will influence the new directors! For example, Erika Calmeyer, the other director in s1, didn't participate in s2 as she was shooting her first feature film which she is now promoting internationally as of 2023.

Babe, the fish scene WASN'T improvised by Edvin. He only advised Omar to call his fish the names of his former band mates. And Omar changed the names - that was all improvisation by them. Maybe the way Edvin walked and touched things in the room as well. The whole scene was not in the script - the director Erika Calmeyer decided to shoot some Wilmon interaction before some talking scene (that was cut out), but it was planned, discussed and choreographed (the intimate part - with Sara).

I know it was planned discussed and choreographed lmao there’s no way they would have any sort of intimacy without that.

Edvin didn’t tell Omar to call the fish his bandmates names he gave him a heads up that he was gonna ask about the fish and then Omar had to come up with names quickly. I guess you’re right idk who came up with the idea for the scene. I made an assumption based on the fact that Edvin had to tell Omar what he was planning on doing that it wasn’t scripted lmao. I assume they improvised the gist and then choreographed it?

Hey....How Are you?

My god, y'all. This show is everything. When I fall in love with shows, I rewatch them over and over again. Usually, at some point, I stop enjoying them as much. I will just watch my favorite parts, and then eventually I just stop rewatching all together (at least for quite a while). Every time I watch this show, I am so enthralled, I never skip anything (with the exception of 2 scenes for OCD reasons). This show gives me such a butterflies in the stomach, sparkly, fire-y feeling and IT DOES NOT GO AWAY.

I have watched it so many times, I've lost count.... and yet, still sparkly, still fire-y. The butterflies are still there, and it just gets better every time. With every rewatch, I seem to notice more details, and fall further in love (as if that were possible!). It is a true masterpiece, and my obsession has gone completely rampant.

I have decided that I needed a dedicated place for all the YR posts I love, and want to go back to. I also decided I want to put my thought out here, while I anxiously await November. I plan to write my thoughts as I rewatch it. It will probably be a bit of analysis, some random things I've noticed, and some hopes/fears for and thoughts about Season 2 (I'll tag with spoilers, just in case). And of course, I will be reblogging a ton of the fantastic content this fandom is creating!!

I hadn’t known who directed or wrote each episode of the 2 seasons of Young Royals that have aired thus far. I knew for sure that Rojda Sekerkoz directed 1.04, due to the interview she and Edvin Ryding did about the football field scene. I discovered all that info is available on Internet Movie Database, so I reproduce it in case anyone else was also unaware.

I needed to see the interview before answering, and now I have. During the fan art session when she saw the snow kiss, she said they wished there were snow during the s1 filming. I need season 2 snow!! If they have to go to damn Svalbard to get some snow, do it! Please.
