One thing that really scratches an itch about Yöton yö for me as a song that makes me want to just play it on loop or go to it the moment I pull out the vinyl record is the whole tone of it all (which is something I do. If that doesnt say anything about how much I love that song, what does)

Idk how to explain my reasoning but the lyrics combined with the instrumental reminds me of being told a tale. Like im seeing the end of a play and im about to be told the whole tale of it. or just a general warning tale which absolutely makes sense considering what it’s alluding to.

Something about that combined with the short film amplifies the whole ‘warning tale’ aspect of it too, considering Kesä returns to his hometown. Like it’s warning him for what’s to come yet he can’t control it since it’s the writer who controls and not him. Is it a possible warning tale to the writer? Maybe

Another thing that emphasises the whole “telling a tale” aspect to it as well is when it’s first heard. Saga hears it when she goes to watery and sees Ahti singing. It’s like the story’s trying to subtly allude to her about Scratch. Or maybe it’s Ahti himself trying to warn saga. Idk man im just rambling.

The whole song in general just gets my brain juices flowing and i genuinely got the motivation to work on a story because of this whole thing. Its just so RAGHGHGHGH

Why can't I logout of my sim file share account...? Seriously what is going on over there? And we still have 0 answers regarding how people are getting hacked 😩

From what I can see, my files and account still appear to be fine (apart from the fact that I can't logout), but I would advise everybody to not download anything from simfileshare until we know exactly what is going on. Especially as the malware that is being uploaded cannot be detected by modguard.

I was re-reading chapter one of MOE today cause I was looking for a line I wanted to parallel, (mmmm parallel structure and repetitive themes, yummy) and it kind of sucks? I've been writing consistantly everyday for two and a half months becuase of MOE. I didn't expect it to improve my work that much.

I was physically cringing at the dashes. Sauce, you sweet summer child that didn't understand Em dash vs. En dash vs hyphen. Don't worry guys, I take grammar classes for fanfiction purposes only.

Either way, I'm going to leave it for now. I kind of like watching the structure and flow improve every chapter. Maybe one day I'll go back and edit it. Until then its a time capsule of grammar abominations and hyper extended sentence fragments. :)

Those are my thoughts today.

okay so i played some more outerwilds today (with a friend for company), and uhm!!! i doubled my play time in one session (not anything extreme, but i played about 4 hours more to a total of 8 so far)

im REALLY liking it, still in the stage of finding stuff, but i was able to figure out how to warp to the hanging city from the ash twin (then proceeded to lose grip of the gravity warp thingies and fling myself into space via black hole)

hoping to continue to find a warp or someway to the southern observatory on brittle hollow next!! very excited to continue this

also i found.. egg. the stuff about the supernovae i actually noticed right before talking to chert :D! theres a lot of that happening!! woohoo

If anything there might be a rule put in next session where everyone gets 1 life back cause it feels bad especially for those who died because of the snails water breathing mechanic

yeah, my only worry is that... the mechanic was put there on purpose? so it feels a bit iffy that they'd retcon something like that. I understand that the snails not swimming/going through water to follow the players could definitely have been some sort of mistake with the pathfinding ai, but the drowning mechanic wasn't the sort of thing that could happen on accident lol
