It's not his fault!#I am quite happy with both of their expressions there tho especially their mouth shapes - and how the colours interact with their eyes #Lineless colours are some of my favourites :) You can tell it's my pencils and not my pen there 'cause it's feathery hehe #For example Edgar's scars are usually with my pen and they have an almost hard-line quality while my pencils are soft :) S'pretty #Switched colours! i need to remake my cup bros ref… both cup and human designs… it’s been almost a year(?) and i’ve developed the headcanons and i would like to share with the class!!! (i wrote thirty tags. Please help me)

#soren.txt #maws needs to come back before i do something insane #anyways. so what i was thinking of was pulling the same idea maws had #with the main cast being significantly younger #and lois treating her internship like a bootcamp. the idea is so funny to me id kinda love to write it #but then she breaks away from this because of superman. the call to adventure if you will #and clark sorta had a rough time growing up because of his powers #maybe some accident happened which caused him to overcorrect himself so he doesn't use his powers at all #so metropolis is a completely new start for him #BUT during his senior year of highschool is when pa dies #so when he comes to metropolis the trauma is still somewhat raw? especially since he spent the next few years #trying to keep a brave face for the sake of ma because he feels like that's all he really *can* do #he may or may not have some guilt because he feels like he could've prevented it from happening to begin with #i think jimmy would be a nice change of pace for him. grounding him a bit more n all.#while lois is practically begging him to join her. clark is very attached to his safe space with jimmy lol #anyways eventually itd get to the point of clois slowburn and lois building a *platonic* relationship with both clark and supes #because as ive expressed before i kinda wanted stupid love triangle shenanigans and also i love slow burn #and im obsessed with the powers connected to emotions trope that im dialing it up a notch

my friend invited me to their family's Zoroastrian celebration in the late winter. i hear about my classmate's experiences teaching at a Jewish summer camp. i talk to my friend about their preacher parents and their father's divine awakening. i watch people convert to a religious sect and become so much happier. i witness my family re-examining the falsehoods they internalized from Shariah Islam and understand Islam in a way that is so much more liberating and loving, the way that it was written to be. and i watch so, so many people believe in something, important to them even if undefined.

i know people are jaded from religion and have been traumatized by its institutions. but in the face of the antitheism of this country, which has rapidly developed into antisemitism and Islamophobia, i think it's just nice to acknowledge how much religion has done for humanity. and how much peace it brings people.

[i turned rbs off but in the case people can't read: this is not shit to anybody who is non-religious, i just kind of wanted to appreciate religion here since a lot of times the internet is actively hostile towards it. but i love u i love u so much. atheists i am holding u in my palms.]

#Doodles #Villainsona #Just Desserts #A quick distraction-foray into a Winx style since I'd gotten the Enchantix itch for a second haha #Other than making her wings doubled I really didn't know how to make her Classic design more Winx-like lol #I was going more for the first transformation rather than Enchantix and I mean - Techna is covered from head to toe so it's not Out of style #I am unabashedly biased towards her Classic design lol ♪#Not having a fixed design for her TVAU outfit did at least encourage me to try Something a bit different for an Evil Enchantix at least #(Gods now I'm just imagining Dark Bloom Enchantic?? Yo - thankfully some artists have given their interpretations :D)#Anyway tho lol - the bottom half of her design seems to be what always trips me up #At least for Enchantix there's kind of the excuse that she needs the fairy vine-shoes thing - she normally wears regular shoes haha #All that said I think the Winx style doesn't completely suit her anyhow :0 She's not really meant to have such stylistic curves haha #All the more reason to return to WOY! It's fun :D #Two semi-canon outfits - the first one much moreso than the second since that's her self-designed TVAU outfit!#To be fair Kaiein rejected that one and not me lol probably on account of the cape muddling her silhouette #No Capes! No matter how cute she looks in them haha #And then the second (especially happy with her expression on that one hehe :3c Watch out) being from when she cornered Cherry Shortcake!#I was incredibly correct about her wings at that point - I think both versions having their own appearances is very good #Denoting influence and emotions and points of time - kind of like her wings and Evil Time in Classic!#The Staff looks so tiny in this style as well haha ♪#And then the last three! whenever i hear a song that i would like if it weren’t for the fact that it was too long, i think about this:

like you can afford to write tangentially if you/your music is already popular and you know that people are going to listen to you no matter what and in fact laud your longer pieces as being genius etc but can you really be releasing 5+ minute long songs without a built-in audience?

#idk. thinking about this because of the new lana album and i think i’d like a lot of these songs better if they were shorter lol #some of these songs drag so much especially when she includes these long sections of like one repeated line over and over again #or like when taylor swift releases the extended version of all too well and everyone freaked out #that’s all good and well but she HAD to release the shorter version first #and she knows she has this huge fanbase that will eat that shit up no matter what she does really #part of it is nostalgia admittedly but i also think the shorter version is just a better song #that song is on the longer side to begin with but 10 minutes???? why #(i did listen to both songs back to back to make sure my opinion was still the same as when the 10 minute version was released & it is lol)#idk! obviously i’m bad at this myself because i write so fucking much to express a simple point but it is more skillful to be able #to say things as effectively and precisely in a more concise way #not saying this ONLY applies to mitski because she’s the one this article is about but she is a good example of it #like being able to express a feeling in just a couple lines that would probably take a less skilled writer like a novel to express #it also reminds me of how my high school latin teacher described how in college he took a class about museum design or something like that #and their first assignment was to write a description of an artifact to tell museum visitors what it was #and every time he submitted a draft the professor would tell him to make it shorter while still communicating the necessary information #until he literally could not make it any shorter than it already was #because you have to assume that people are not gonna read all that! because they won’t unless they have some kind of external motivation to #idk there IS something to be said for including ‘unnecessary’ parts of writing etc obviously there’s nuance #but a lot of the time i think if there isn’t a reason to include something then why include it!
