I miss Eurovision so much. I mean ever since we got glorious content and our faves have achieved so much success, but seeing Bojan hospitalised and Jere being almost exploited and overworked really hit me. I miss the days where it was fun and carefree, they were always looking to have a good time and make friends, not having to dodge the mean journalists and handling the fact that everyone wants a piece of them now. Sorry if this sounds sad but I just had to let it out.
Hi, I mean exploited is probably a harsh word given the fact that he was given a lot of money and it was his choice, so I’m just gonna mention that before other people do 🫣
And yeah, i miss those days as well sometimes! But at the same time, that’s just how it goes, im sure the positives are still way more important than the negatives, they just need to get through the summer tour and everything will be calm after that, don’t worry too much <3
This is a life they chose, they just need to find a good balance so that bojan doesn’t need to get infusions and Jere needs to have new contracts on his next tour so he doesn’t need to do those rich man gigs.. but I’m sure they’re both still happy, they get to do something they’re passionate about :))

TLDR: This is just a collection of my thoughts on the Bayern verbietet Gendern-Stuff. Do not approach this from a POV of an only English speaking person. German is a very gendered language and we have discourseTM. Language mixed for chaos and suffering of all who choose to read. Y'know, the issue with the Gendersternchen/ Semicolon etc. not being screenreader friendly, shouldn't mean, we abandon the notion of gendering in german. It should mean "We incentivise developers to include the Gendersternchen, Semikolon and other German gender Variants into their programming".
In written context, I definitely understand the accessibility option.

i can’t stop thinking about how people in the global south, whose currencies are valued less than the euro/usd/pound because they too are exploited by the west, are sacrificing large amounts of money and fundraising for palestinians and sudanese, meanwhile americans are coming up with bullshit excuses for why their $20usd (there’s some people who don’t make that kind of money in an entire year!! that’s a thousand six hundred indian rupees!) won’t matter as much as their vote for the genocider’s right hand woman a few months from now.
if you live in the united states, canada, australia, the european union, the uk, or israel or the uae, god forbid,
it is your RESPONSIBILITY to do as much as you can, to donate as much as you can, so that the palestinians you see every day on your feed may have a shot at living again.
it is our countries that continue to finance these genocides and it is for the promise of our comfort that they continue to produce mass death. i don't care how this motivates you. whether you donate out of guilt over our blood soaked currencies, or out of a desire to appear moral, or because something about that individual gfm resonated with soemthing personal to you, or because you've seen people like me and my friends get angry, what matters most is that you are donating. because you are in the best position to donate, therefore it is what you must do.
it should motivate you.
here are four palestinian and two sudanese gofundmes. the sudanese gofundmes are both older and less successful.
donate to Wafaa to help her family escape genocide
donate to Siraj to help him fight to keep his home
donate to Shahed to help her save her little sisters
donate to Ahmed who is almost at his goal
donate to Sajida to help her family get to safety
donate to Hassan to help his friend escape war
(these are all verified fundraisers, they can be found on my blog!)

i hope this whole andrew tate situation will lead to more than just memes, but an actual discussion on sex tourism and the way western men move to poorer nonwestern countries, both because women and girls are more desperate and vulnerable & because our governments are much more shit abt doing anything at all abt sex crimes/the government and police themselves are often involved in sex trafficking, and because of the aspect of fetishizing and degrading eastern women (which western euro men are doing in their damn brothels to our women & girls as well). i hope it will lead to an awareness that he is faaar from the only western man to move to romania and the balkans for this, that this shit happens regularly to our women and girls here, that he's far from the only western man to move to a poorer nonwestern country to rape and traffick and enslave women and children. i hope maybe just maybe this will mean a bit more than just memes, and may show in the liberal sex work brainrot internet culture the darker underbelly of pornography and prostitution. our pain and suffering and exploitation isnt just a meme. i hope, at least.

The intersection of male supremacy and white supremacy: Sperm donation corruption and rape by deception of women.
Tumblr media
Jonathan Jacob Meijer.
(There is a Netflix documentary: Man with 1000 kids)
Several women went to this Norwegian man seeking a sperm donor. He had great hair. He had great teeth. He traveled and made Youtube blogs of everywhere he went, to all of these different countries. These women went through a private website as opposed to a clinic. He told these women that his intentions were to donate to a maximum of five families.
As they began getting pregnant and giving birth, some bumped into each other. And what a funny coincidence it was that they happened to share the same donor. And then more met and knew of each other. And some realized that their kids were in the same day camp together, and what were the odds of that?
And as it turns out, this man was operating under several different aliases and traveling internationally, donating to 11 different sperm banks under different names, providing sperm privately for women on the side. And he didn't just donate to five women, he donated to hundreds of women, many of whom connected with each other over social media and formed an online group where all were concerned with what he was doing. And this resulted in thousands of children directly related to this man internationally.
And he didn't just use his sperm, but would also meet up with his bald scarred friend and mix their sperm together in the sample bottle, so many of these women non-consensually conceived children with a man they had never even heard of without realizing it. And him and his buddy and other serial donors would "joke" that they were spreading their "white seed" when they would travel to places like Hong Kong and Kenya.
When he was finally tried in court he stated that if there was concern about incest, the children can all simply wear and use a social media symbol that brands them as his so they can recognize each other. And a female judge (who's name I cannot seem to find online) in a Dutch court, sentenced him to 100,000 euro fine for every time he donated if he was ever found donating again and required him to contact the donor banks and request his material be destroyed.
Tumblr media
Donald Cline
(Also a Netflix documentary on this: Our Father)
A fertility (gynecology and obstetrics) doctor in the 1980s who welcomed women into his clinic before cryogenic freezing of sperm was a thing and it was freshly inseminated through a procedure. He let the women know that he was using the sperm of medical students and that there would be no more than three times sperm from the same student would be used. Some women, who weren't able to conceive with their husband for one reason or another, also came into the clinic wanting to use their own husband's sperm.
Years later a woman who grew up knowing that part of her DNA was from a sperm donor began wanting to connect with her potential siblings on 23&Me. She was shocked to discover at least 10 siblings she was related to. She got in touch with them.
It turns out that Dr. Cline proceeded to use his own sperm on the female patients, hiding somewhere in the clinic to produce it immediately before using it to inseminate unsuspecting women. This man covertly reproductively exploited several women and "fathered" 94 children. Whenever the children would try to meet with him, he would show up intentionally carrying a gun to intimidate them.
One of his biological daughters, who didn't realize Cline was her biological father until adulthood, even had him as her own gynecologist. He performed pap smears and breast exams on her. He knew that she was his biological offspring and she did not have the knowledge and therefore the option to decline being sexually examined by her biological father.
Dr. Cline was also tried in court by the victims; however, the judge was sympathetic to him.
____________________________________________________________
This form of sociopathy not only majorly creates significant consequences to the gene pool for our human species as these half siblings are at higher risk of incest, but the psychological harm done to the mothers and the children are horrific. Some of these (now adult) children have described an entire undoing of their self-identity, and many struggled in processing that the men who may have raised them was not their biological father. Some of these mothers are teaching their children to always ask whoever they date if they were ever conceived by a donor. These mothers now wrestle with conflicting emotions - the fact that they were betrayed, taken advantage of, and used to fulfill a man's god-complex, while also finally having a child or children that they love with all of their hearts who were a result of a violating situation.
These two men share two other things in common: they have both argued that they were "helping" these women. That these women came to them in need and that they were engaging in philanthropy and giving them what these women wanted. That they should be grateful.
And that they were interested in contributing to the white race. In addition to Meijer's comments in "spreading white seed", Jacoba, one of the child victims of fertility fraud/the reproductive rape of her mother by Donald Cline, described how he was using her mother as a pawn repeatedly to fulfill religious, male supremacist, and white supremacist ideals to spread the white race.
Now, look:
Presently there are little to no regulations or legal enforcement in preventing men from committing fertility fraud/this form of sexual violation and reproductive exploitation of women. There are little to no consequence for men substantially altering the genetic pool and using women as chattel and children as genetic products. In fact, Meijer was the first case in which a judge placed restrictions on male reproductive autonomy as a consequence for causing sexual, psychological, and evolutionary harm.

Hello my dear friends, I am Muhammad Ayyad from Gaza. Our lives are terrible and hideous. My family has nothing left but to hope that you will support and help us. After 10 months of war we are exhausted, desperate, hopeless and displaced. Homes and livelihoods have been lost and gone with the wind. Things drive us crazy and crazy. The lowest level of life cannot be reached. Water and healthy food have become a dream that we must achieve. What makes our lives worse is the constant bombings and killings. That is why I ask in this post to help us overcome these unbearable circumstances and move from hell to safety and peace. Your support can help us be safe and alive, so friends, you can support us either by directly donating whatever you can or by sharing my campaign links so that generous people can know about our tragedy and pain. Remember, your small contribution can make a big difference in the lives of many children whose health condition deteriorates every day. Let their lives change and make them feel happy with your generous contribution.
hello my dear friends, this has been verified as a scam
your old account, @mhammed, links to this fundraiser, which got 2000+ euros. it was never vetted, despite people mistakenly believing it had been because of its inclusion on this post under a list of fundraisers that had not been verified.
your account used to have a link to that fundraiser in the bio, which i can only assume you removed after you got rumbled and closed the fundraiser so you could take the money you'd stolen and run.
except now you're back for more under a new account that is almost completely devoid of posts and has no liked posts from before the start of august, despite the fact that on 1st april you were apparently booping away with the rest of us (more than 1000 times to be exact):
Tumblr media
your new fundraiser is almost identical, using the same pictures and very similar text, with a slight alteration in where within belgium the fundraiser is based. it has yet to get any donations and i hope it stays that way.
shame on you for exploiting a genocide for personal profit

Yes the Olympics ceremony etc, but as a french person I want y'all to remember our country allowed this only for its reputation and is being awfully hypocrit.
For this event :
They deplaced homeless people from Paris to other cities so they wouldn't be seen by tourists.
They put students in the streets to give their apartments to the police and athletes, students who have been complaining for years that their homes were unsanitary, and they never fixed it until the police had to use it.
They forbid people in mental health hospitals to go outside for the whole time of the Olympics.
They forbid hijabis for the athletes.
Israel was allowed into the competition, and even worse, they collaborated with their police, the same that is guilty from horrible acts.
Rapist athletes were allowed to participate.
The government paid billions of euros for this, but somehow they pretend they "don't have" the few millions necessary to improve the life of the people in general.
They completely ignored all questions of ecology regarding the event even tho the consequences were awful.
They destroyed gardens.
They installed abusive video surveillance.
They exploited the workers on the constructions, people DIED.
They raised the prices of housing and transportations near the event despite saying they wouldn't.
And without even it being about the Olympics, not even a few weeks ago, there was a rise of aggressions and attacks by the far right against all kind of minorities, and all of the main medias were on their side. Our government is currently, and has been for years actually, in the process of normalizing really dangerous and extreme ideas, taking rights away from minorities a little more everyday.
Don't be fooled. This ceremony is sprinkles in the eyes. Performative activism— not necessarily from the people in the ceremony, but from the government.

could you talk more on eds and biopolitics?
sure, so this is broad strokes and it's also worth reiterating that the energy deficit characteristic of EDs can have a lot of different causes besides intentional food restriction—food insecurity is a huge and underrecognised factor here but there are many others. so when i talk about intentional restriction and the desire to be thin / lose weight, i'm not suggesting these are universal characteristics or causes of EDs.
anyway though, in the context of discussing these things, and particularly the relationship between 'diet culture' and EDs, a perennial frustration to me is that i often hear people fall back on the idea that the desire to be thin comes about as a result of the beauty standards perpetuated in mass media, fashion adverts, &c, without any subsequent interrogation of why it is that beauty itself is now so heavily dependent on thinness. after all, plenty of people have pointed out this is not a universal; beauty varies in different times and places, what is described or depicted as beautiful in historical records doesn't necessarily have much overlap with today's hegemonic standards, and so forth.
so when historicising this phenomenon it becomes very clear that the euro/anglo standard of thinness as beauty is, one, part of the ideological apparatus justifying colonialism thru the creation of race and white supremacy. sabrina strings and da'shaun harrison have written on this. two, the thin ideal is also inextricably tied up in medical discourses defining the ideal body as one that is economically productive, with the promise being that if the populace can be transformed into 'healthy',*** useful, hardworking citizens, the state benefits. control of bodyweight is therefore certainly a means of demonstrating one's supposed self-control, moral discipline, &c, but it is also a demand expressed in medical terms: these two discourses merge and overlap, and are both part of the capitalist state's transformation of its citizenry into a biological resource that can be controlled, managed, and exploited to bourgeois ends (profit): hence, biopolitics.
(***the story of how 'health' itself comes to be so dependent on thinness is obviously a critical piece of all this but this post is long as shit already so suffice it to say that this conflation is also not obvious, necessary, universal, &c &c)
medico-political discourses in the 19th century tended to talk about the dangers of both over- and under-weight more than what we hear now; similarly, if you think about something like wilbur atwater's calorie-value charts, these were explicitly intended to guide labourers to the most calorie-dense foods, because to atwater the central danger to be avoided was starvation among the workforce. these days in wealthy countries like the us, you are much more likely to hear about weight management in the context of demands to reduce; this is of course following moves like the WHO declaring an 'obesity epidemic' in 1997, and the rise in the usa of more explicitly nationalist, militaristic weight-loss rhetoric in the post-9/11 era.
however, my position is that these demands for thinness, and the beauty standard that follows and justifies them, are not a departure from earlier 19th- and 20th-century scientific nutrition advice, just an evolution that, for a multitude of reasons (politics, medical professional interests, insurance company practices, &c) has simply come to focus more on the ostensible economic and national threat posed by fatness. the underlying logic bears the biopolitical throughline: the state has, or ought to have, an interest in enforcing the health of its population, and as part of this demands that you the individual surveil and alter your weight according to the scientific guidelines du jour.
this is fertile ground for the development of what, in extreme form, we regard as ED pathology. first, because even the most purely 'health'-motivated individual engaging in the required degree of bodily monitoring and caloric restriction is liable to respond to energy deficit in ways that can become diagnosably distressing. second, because the morals of 'health' are never far from standards of beauty; thinness is sold in overtly profitable ways (the diet and weight-loss industries) and furthermore, our idea of beauty is often a kind of post hoc justification for the thinness already being demanded by state and medical authorities. which is really just to say, beauty is part of the ideological superstructure both resulting from and invoked as a justification for the material conditions of capitalist biopolitics. again this is very broad strokes, but imo it is a much more useful framework to understand EDs than simply presenting them as a result of desiring thinness because it is glorified in The Media, because... reasons (essentially the rené girard model, lol).

a big german newspaper (die zeit) recently published a more critical article on the so called „verrichtungsboxen“ (literally: boxes of execution; boxes on the street where prostituted women and sex buyers can go to consummate the sexual acts; anyone who knows german will know this is a gross terminology, fitting for a gross concept).
while the fact these boxes exist is in itself a tragedy, the letters to the editor are giving me hope that there are sane people left in this country - even though from their names and writing style i would guess they are of the older generation, pension age.
heinz wohner: „if you dont get a visceral reaction of disgust and shame looking at these obfuscating boxes called ‚eco toilets‘ and the image of what is going on in them, you have to be extremely cold. calling what is being done to these women for little money ‚work like any other‘ is sugarcoating the issue.“
wolfgang wendling: „maybe there are women who voluntarily prostitute themselves, but the majority is doing it out of necessity and under pressure. calling the oldest trade in history a profession like any other is pure mockery. its not an honor to call our country europe‘s biggest brothel. but it‘s true. we should be ashamed that women are being exploited, humiliated and abused before our eyes. the more severe the poverty is in the country of origin, the cheaper you can have them. we should finally stop this, which is the only appropriate action for a civilised country.“
brigitte kosfeld: „the photo of these boxes alone speaks volumes on the inhumane practices hidden behind the liberalisation of prostitution. when the law was introduced, there were convinced social democratic women who were holding speeches on ‚prostitution as a profession‘. the intentions behind the law might have been honorable, but the reality has always been deeply anti-woman.“
professor claudia reuter, phd: „the liberalisation of prostitution in germany has failed in all regards. according to a french study, the average life expectancy of a prostitute is 33 years. babbling about self-determination in this case is inhumane. the state is not supporting prostitutes’ workers rights and their health, but their economic and sexual exploitation. its about time for the swedish model: protection for women and consistent punishment for sex buyers and pimps.“
joachim kasten: „social democrat august bebel already wrote in 1879 (…) that ‚honorable family men‘ were contributing to uphold the system prostitution with their money. according to him, they were generously let off their responsibility to disappear in anonymity. apparently today we are still where we were at the end of the 19th century.“
sabine moehler: „the description [in the article] of typical injuries prostitutes have reminded me very much of those women in physically abusive relationships show as well. a man who abuses, humiliates and demeans a prostitute in any way will do the same to his partner, wife or lover as soon as he doesnt like her behavior. (…) even reading about this is upsetting me a lot.“
and of course the one sex buyer who just had to write to the editors, peter müller: „its one sided to use the misery in berlin street prostitution with sex on public toilets as a reason to debate the liberalisation of prostitution. there are many brothels were the ladies are treated with respect. of course working as a prostitute harbors certain risks - but there are women who freely choose this job, and in my experience, some of them are doing it with passion and love. the regular prices are not the dumping prices you mentioned (5-10 euros) [note: which is indeed normal in street prostitution] but actually 80-100 euros for half an hour - not to mention those dont include extras and humiliating sex practices. i met women who earn better in prostitution than some employees in germany.“
loose translation and highlights by me.

the last sentence… ouch 😕
gonna put the full article here because it addresses the issue heartbrokenly well:
Pedri will never forget 2021, the year he went from a boy to a man. He was 18 years old, still a youth player and played 61 games between Barça, the senior national team, the Olympic team and the U-23s. From January 2021 to January 2022, he also played ten of the thirteen extra times that the club and the national team faced. And the atrocity could have been bigger because during that period he missed twenty games due to injury. It is easy to conclude that it was his body that said enough was enough.
Pedri gave his all wearing Spain's kit and today he pays the consequences of a sin he did not commit. Nobody, absolutely nobody, stopped that barbarity that meant squeezing the muscles of a boy whose talent allowed him to burn footballing stages, but not physical ones: he was still a boy with the physique of a boy who still had to develop. Three years later, his legs are claiming the price for everything he has experienced. And he is the only one who pays that price. Nobody else but him. No matter how much Barça pampers him and accompanies him, no matter how much exhaustive prevention work has been planned, no matter how many good and empty words come out of the Federation, Pedri's body belonged then and still belongs to Pedri. And it is Pedri who, with each relapse, returns to the bottom.
Football is a sport that moves huge amounts of money that is shared among all those who participate in it, but in which only the footballers are exploited. At the price of gold, yes, but without consideration. Some of them make a very good living, in some cases obscenely good, but that doesn't give anyone permission to gamble with their health. As was done with Gavi, keeping him on the pitch in an inconsequential match and after twisting his knee minutes before that ended up broken. It's scary to hear De la Fuente's frivolity talking about this case… thinking about what's to come.
Treating Lamine Yamal or Cubarsí as if they were full-fledged footballers is irresponsible. The mere fact that they are even considering making them play both the Euros and Olympic Games is another shameless move from an industry that only looks out for itself and doesn't give a damn about the health of the players it is supposed to protect. The shamelessness to even dare to put the players at the centre of the decision. As if it were up to them. Neither Pau nor Lamine are old enough to vote or drive, but they force them to take a position, shaking off a responsibility that should fall on the RFEF, which is the beneficiary of the investment in time and money made by Barça. The club, for its part, is obliged to say enough is enough. Or the one who will say enough, as happened with Pedri, might be their physique.
