#wouldn't it be fucked up if your dead husband technically wasn't real and all you have is memories of events that *feel* so real#but never even truly happened#his death haunts you and yet he wasn't even coded into the game he was just a character thought up by your creators to give you a backstory#his character model is off t-posing somewhere in the void outside the map dead and lifeless until whatever cutscene(s) involving him plays#and there are a dozen other carbon copies of you running around the world in their own cabinets suffering from the exact same trauma#the memories of him feel so real and sometimes what if on the darkest quietest nights you sat there and wondered....#what if this isn't real either.....what if felix isn't real#what if its all another cutscene and one moment you'll snap back to reality and realize it was all another flashback of false memories#IN THIS ESSAY I WILL- *bang*

Honestly the real petty reason I dislike the therian mask trend and general TikTok therian aesthetic is bc ppl are soooooo fucking samey with it I can tell you on the fingers of one hand people I can actually tell apart by their style.
What's the point of making a cool fit based on your nonhuman self if ur just gonna look like 135356 other people with a paper mask on. Come on.

id like to thank procreate's mirror tool for making my work slightly faster and also capturing how awkward and uncanny actual official driver portraits look
#id also like to thank sharle and tira for having the exact same build so i dont have to draw that race suit twice#and can just swap out their heads + change up the arm pose for variety#well. tira is 3 inches shorter than sharle and a bit less toned but that doesn't matter for this#and yeah im not doing default standing poses + neutral expressions even tho it would be more accurate cuz i think thats kinda boring#ooc#wip

i am still sooooooo at the beginning of my art journey in so many ways <- guy who posts about this at least once a week
#it's both invigorating/fun and frustrating/demoralizing often at the exact same time#Like 95% of the time when i draw something i am drawing it for the first time#one of my fave artists said kind of offhand in an ask he answered a while back that he has drawn the same poses so many times that#he challenges himself to come up with ones he hasn't drawn before now which is INSANE TO ME#i haven't even drawn a person like just standing there very many times. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh#it's so hard not to just sit here and wish i had drawn through my teenage years like everyone else but that doesn't change anything so i#combat the urge by going back to drawing.
