ok now that ive had a couple of hours to sit on it the new conversation with buzzo at the ending of joyful sucks absolute ass. i liked the rest of the new content Specially the new boss in painful but the stuff with buzzo is..............................

#wheres the nuance the care the love thats on the rest of the game #if we take what buddy says at face value its weird cause she barely knows who lisa is #so how could she know what kind of relationship she had with buzzo #and if we take it as buddy somehow channeling the spirit of lisa to spill that stuff its probably even worse #cause like whats the point of every other interaction between buzzo and lisa then #i sort of get the idea that they wanted to portray buzzo as a pathetic man but like. he already was #just maybe not in the same way as other pathetic characters #this mans been hung up on the same thing for his entire life but like. it was a life changing event. it Was traumatic #he blames everyone except the person that was actually hurting lisa and keeps taking some kind of fucked up responsability over it #even tho he was a child at the time too #hes not cool for deciding to carry out a lifelong revenge against someone that was as against the wall as he was #like i just dont get what was the point of it all #to rub it in that hes not over lisa after all this time? as if it want already obvious?#and the entire conversion is so awkwardly written #like i dont remember the exact line but when buddy says she knows cause shes a woman #as shown in literally the next post credits scene she doesnt know what a mother is but she has lived the Normal girl experience #honestly being a hater here but it doesnt feel like they would say that #speciallt after how good the rest of the new content is #the campfire conversations are wonderful and all the stuff from painfuls secret boss really fleshes out brad a lot more #Anyways i liked the de stuff but the price hike and the bugs and this really spoils the experience #at least the old version of the game is still there

one of the things that fascinate me about thawne: yes, he CAN be normal with kids! surprisingly normal!

((not at all times, though. his mental illness still spills through and as usual he, in trying to manipulate or hurt others, spits out at them the exact stuff that would hurt him (or have in his childhood/barry's rejection interpretation) the most in the first place lmao))

stayed & travelled with the Figs for awhile -- after being found, before finally dropped of to an institution, as the Figs think their travelling life style is not really suitable to raise a child

quickly picked up civilization as he is an intelligent child (that's why he is a ravenclaw)

exchanged letters with the travelling Figs during his time at the institution / orphanage

was a really helpful child during his time at the institution / orphanage that he is close with the staff

he thinks of befriending people is a way of learning & by helping them he gets to experience a lot of different things

a mellow temperament child in general (just like how it is ingame)

likes exploring (bcs damn! we really going places in that game)

picked the silly 'Alex Xander' name himself, maybe he heard a mother called her child with that name once and he is obsessed with that name ever since.

he always writes Xander as his 'family name' to show that he is complete even without a family

actually a bit older than his classmates, as he went through extra few years to catch up to civilization as a feral child

#already been spending time this past year & a half i only need someone to actually speak it with IRL for maximum efficiency #technically i want to say 2019 people were already turning to english at least in my city. 7 year old me would be so happy but #ARRRRRRGHHHHHHH #YOU ARE POSERS I HAVE NOTHING IN COMMON WITH YOU & I NEVER WILL. has me feeling so ♯DECEIVED #native english speakers will probably never understand this feel #speaking english now is just as cringe as i thought being francophone was a decade ago Yes even as a child i was against normies #i was forcibly taught.by my millennial older brother i had no choice but to abide by that line of thought & so here i am today #well he was right. not anymore he ain't but he used to be #but technically you can say this new wave of self taught anglophones are going against the current & remnants of colonialism so well #it is a good thing objectively i just miss the ease of recognizing Real back in the day TT_TT like you just KNEW they shared your interests #& weirdness they knew your references it said something about what their social status likely was too ETC ETC. #in a strange place today and i need to put this somewhere. i do not have a journal yet. this is it #my grandad was diagnosed with dementia years ago and the grandad i have now is often unrecognisable from the one i grew up with #and while this like isn’t fun and it is strange for him to look at me and not know me more times than he does. it has also been kind of l #lovely?#bc he thinks my granny is still alive so whenever i get to go see him i get to pretend she is too. and she is for a minute. and tho i am #glad she went before him. it is nice to say oh i’m popping in to see her after this grandad and talk about her like she’s hasn’t been gone #since i’ve been ten. my dad has spoken more to him in the last five years than he has his whole life #he was not an easy man. he was loud and friendly and hard working and funny and scary but not easy. in ways he is even #harder now. in others he is easier.#he is more of a child. this is what dementia can do to a brain. we are learning things about his childhood that no one alive has ever spoken #about. that no one knew. my dad doesn’t love him more now but he understands him better #my grandad taught me how to drive a tractor and how to fish through my dad and he has not recognised me in over a year and he #hasn’t walked since he broke his pelvis seven years ago and his muscles are nearly all gone. he is a fraction of the size he used to be. his #personality and body took up my childhood like adults on the screen in cartoons. he hasn’t dressed himself in a decade. he told one of the #nurses that after dinner he wanted ice cream plain like herself and nearly peed when she laughed and told him to fuck off #he is in there. he is himself. i know him. but he isn’t. he doesn’t know me but he allows me to tell him how to ppl he knows are doing. he #still somehow trusts me. we talk a lot about my granny and how she stayed up watching tv again last night so she’s tired today. don’t stay #long when you call in to see her?#whenever we would journey to see him and my granny and get in v late he’d ask us if we wanted apple tart and my granny would say michael.#not ur kids. u can’t parent them. he didn’t know my name yesterday but he asked me if i wanted apple tart #i hope he dies soon. for all that i will miss this. miss my dad having this. he would not want to live like this. it wouldntbe living to him
