Good Morning, Charlotte Scene!! The week has hit the reset button for us here at RF20XX, and we're starting fresh by working our normal grind a bit earlier so that the daily struggle doesn't delay events from hitting your ears & eyes in time 🎶. ~~~~~~~~~~ As well this week, we've added in a few venues, expanding onto the roster within Charlotte, including the more vibrant ones we declined to cover before. “Rin. I’ve returned. Did you behave well for Lady Kaede,” Sesshomaru asked as he approached the girl in the fields. She was looking healthy and happy, feet still dirty and bare as she moved around.

Even with messy feet, the demon lord was always happy to see his daughter when he returned to the village. And truthfully it made him sad to leave her, but he had to acknowledge Ungai had made a good point about Rin needing humans in her life as well as her demonic father.

They’ve - He’s? - They’ve?  - Edward didn’t know how to put it and he wondered how Ling would have described the situation - They’ve  been walking for what feels like ages and it makes him wonder how that little bastard felt having a body that knew weaknesses like fatigue. They were whisked away from their prison in Central Command by Kimblee but apparently his kidnapper decided that the Crimson Alchemist wasn’t the best company. 

Edward had to agree for differing reasons. 

For now, he’s stopped fighting. For now, he’s just existing in the same space as this damnable brat as they continue to trudge forward despite his body’s cries for self care. 

“You know you can’t walk forever, right?”  He sounds from the small space that’s been allotted to him. 

He’s not pounding against the walls. He’s not screaming. He’s not trashing about to fight for control.  Let the brat have it for now, he’ll learn soon enough that this is more than he bargained for.  Let him deal with it when his arm breaks down. Let him deal with it when his leg gives out. The little bastard probably knew next to nothing about automail, let alone what it took to care for it. He had daily tasks he had to do after all. 

But yet he continues to feel his body trudge onward despite the pain in his knee and the weight on his lips and the throbbing sensation at the center of his back.  Little bastard stole from him, now he had to be the one to live with the consequences. Now he could live with the swelling and the inflammation and the pain just like he had for the last five years of his life. Now he could learn to live with the pure weight of his limbs. 

He can feel his steps getting slower and slower with each one that drags them forward. 

“You have ta stop Selim. Can’t you feel that? There’s no way you can’t feel that. You can’t just walk as much as you want now. You’ve got automail dumbass. You can’t keep goin’ you’ll drive my body inta the ground. Stone ‘er no stone, you get tired now, Selim. Yer whadda Envy called it - Human Based -  Can’t you feel that deep pit in you? I’m hungry, your body has needs you can’t ignore them.” 

He’s sitting in his ‘allotted space’ with is legs crossed and his arms folded over his chest while he leans back against one of those damnable walls. He wants his body so bad? Fine.  Deal with everything that came with it. Let him do the fucking work. 

“You need ta find a place ta sleep, kiddo. Yer gunna hafta do a lotta that. Sucks but you picked an automail user so thems the breaks. Are you even listenin’ ta me? Yer not are you? That’s kinda rude dont’cha think? It’s my body dont’cha think I know it a little better than you?  Selim pay attention. I’m talkin’ ta you. You wanna walk us inta the ground fine - but you gotta deal with it when we pass out. You better be on yer toes, kiddo ‘cuz when I see my chance I’m takin’ it. “

They’re coming into town, small - not much around - everything more of a mess than usual he assumes but with that whole sacrifice non-sense he assumed all of Amestris was probably a mess in some shape or another. 

“This would probably be a good time ta take a break. I mean I’ve only lived in this body fer sixteen years but whadda I know? An’ food would probably be a good idea. Just sayin’. I get all kinds’a sick when I don’t eat, but I mean whadda I know it’s only my body.  Keep not listenin’ ya little brat. When yer sore as hell an’ it hurts ta move, I’ll just take my body back. I’ve lived with the pain. I know how ta handle it. Bein’ sore ain’t gunna stop me.”

He’s watching the town as they walk through it. He’s watching as people go about their days - cleaning up the streets and helping each other out. They probably didn’t have a clue about the monster that just walked into their town. 

His eyes drop on a girl with long brown hair and a familiar messenger bag - he - he knows her.  The color of that familiar coat - that coat he made with his own hands.  Oh shit.

is it early in the morning, or late at night? sunny has no perception of time at the moment. he simply knows that his parched throat demands water, therefore interrupting his rest. annoyed at his body for requiring these functions, he drudgingly obeys—but if there is one thing he does not expect, it is an invader in the sanctuary of his home. singular eye blinks at the small figure as sunny descends the last step. what, a self care hallucination-?

despite running off what little energy he has, he decides to humor this apparent child. scratchily, he responds: “ sorry. hasn’t been for a few days. ” and a shrug. sunny walks past the child into the kitchen, finding… all the cabinets open. intriguing. this kid is serious? othermart does open early… sunny casts a glance at the mysterious stranger. “ what time is it? ”

             the loss of ventuswill still hit as hard days after as it had the first moments of it all. surely the townspeople had noticed their princess hadn’t left her room in several days, until now when she had made an attempt to cheer herself up with some flowers. however, the bright colors reminded her too much of the dragon’s colorful wings that she quickly found herself moved to tears again.
