Everfree Fever
Stage: 0
Healthy, Pre-Infection
Tumblr media
Stage 1: Initial Infection
Tumblr media
Host has come into contact with a pony carrying the disease and had been bitten or otherwise gotten infected blood or saliva in an open wound.
The area of contact becomes itchy and irritable. Avoid biting at it to relieve the pain.
This is the only stage in which the pony is curable, albeit by brutal means as the infected area must be cut off to ensure it does not spread. The longer one waits the more of the area that must be taken off.
Bites to the flank, back or throat are fatal no matter what, death is more merciful than the fate they will succumb to if the infection is allowed to continue.
The subject has 3 hours before Stage 2 begins
State 2: Progression
Tumblr media
Once they enter stage 2 they’re a lost cause. Death is the most merciful option but the hysteria that sets in seldom makes it easy. Even if a pony has accepted what must be done the infected brain will keep going regardless and instinct has begun to override the conscious mind.
The first signs of the progressing infection are boils forming nearby the site of contamination which spread up the leg and in the later hours, dark spots of necrosis and decay. The eyes begin to sink in and the hoof’s keratin begins to start growing rapidly and sharpening. The pupils noticeable begin to dilate even in high light levels until only a sliver of color remain.
Muscle spasms start within the first hour or two of this stage and get more violent with time and eventually leads to muscle damage, including the ripping of the jaw as it aims to stretch impossibly wide as the body beings to look more lithe and malnourished. A hunger begins setting in around thirst stage, one that cannot be satisfying no matter how much or what they try to eat. Sometimes results in choking due to impulsive attempts at eating with a broken jaw
The bones begin to reshape beneath the skin
Stage 3: Vivusmortuus
Tumblr media
The final stage, the hope that they can be saved is lost at this point. The site of infection has rotted away almost completely and spread up as have the boils. The hooves have morphed into overgrown claws and the legs elongated and can bend in unnatural ways allowing for the infected to squeeze through small spaces that they otherwise wouldn’t fit through. It is highly recommended that all ways to the outside of a safehouse be secured top to bottom. Despite their frail appearance they are dangerously strong. The pain receptors that once kept them from pushing their muscles too far no longer fire.
It is just a husk of hunger that will go through any means necessary to satisfy the empty pit that never seems to fill. If the mind of the pony the husk once was is in there. All control over their body is gone.
It is still fully capable of speech and uses it to lure out prey from their safe havens. There’s tells as it speaks with slightly off inflections of the voice. There’s little to put words to explain what about the way they speak is slightly unnerving.
Avoid at all costs.
If you have an opportunity to kill it. Do it. It is a mercy, even if a cure is possible they’re body could not survive it.

Mlp infection aus go so hard so me and couple of pals ( @ltheoddboy , @ghost-ist , and others who don’t have tumblr) made one of our own!!
I’ll be referring to this au as Audle Posk Infection AU (or Audle Posk AU for short)
Our infection of choice was Swamp Fever, of course, but body horrorofied it some more. It starts from the episode A Health of Information, but fluttershy never found the cure. Zecora chose to rest by her home in the everfree, unaware of what would come from it. You see, animals can get infected too, and carry the pollen on their fur/feathers to others. Feral animals swarmed Ponyville, bringing the virus with them
Via animal transport and how easy it is to get infected through simple contact, the virus quickly began to spread throughout Equestria
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The “Audle Posk” is Old Ponish btw!! This user made a very simple translation and comboed it with old english, so felt the desire to make the scientific word for it is that instead of Latin 💅✨ translates to “Disease Of Oak”

Imagine living with Jabari(Male Zecora) together in the Everfree Forest. You live up in the trees and he lives below, but wherever you two are - you both never pass up the chance to give affection everytime you both are together.
Dusk Shine would accidentally meet you during the parasprite outbreak when he instead barged into you and Jabari's inside date. In the moment of panic he didn't notice you until after the whole outbreak when he rethink back to his meet at midnight thinking. The next day, he went to apologise barging in and there you were with him again, helping Jabari. Dusk probably thought you were Jabari's assistant before seeing how affectionate you two are. He told his friends after Jabari introduced you and a nice chat over tea.
Or living somewhere else and the first time the mane six ever saw you was not during the time they got hit with the joke oak but instead when Jabari got swamp fever(s7e20 which is quite a while). Where you rush into his place in panic after getting the letter he had sent. You met Butterscotch and Dusk Shine near his bed and you softly push the two of them away to get to Jabari.
While they went to find the cure, you had to sit with him through the whole process of him almost turning into a tree, breaking both of your hearts. After the two arrive with the cure however and Jabari was cured of all symptoms, you rush into his embrace in happy tears. He softly kissed your head and rubs your tears away as the other two colts went out to give you two privacy, proud they cured Jabari and last a long relationship.

hi I'm adopting my au hard rules RN
this new mlp infection au has me in a grimdark chokehold. so much so that I slept with the lights on last night!!! I've been sifting through so much content. My favs have been from Chloe Alonzo (etc.etcetera) and Ariel (grimskelegirl).
With that being said I've decided to set myself some hard rules for my personal headcanon!! I want to work on some self-insert art with my oc FeatherBlade, so here are some of my thoughts on the universe:
Tumblr media
How it started: Swamp Fever (canon to the show). A small population of Hayseed Willow trees (unnamed within the show) has made root in the everfree forest near the bog. Flash bee habitats are dying and the Everfree population has been MIA. Unfortunately, as one of the few pollinators immune to swamp fever, the Hayseed Willow trees have been on the fritz. Have you ever noticed how the bog always seems a little different every time you visit? The tree's aren't just changing every time you wander near them, no, they're entirely new trees from the last time you were there. Previously overlooked due to the originating population being from Hayseed Swamps, it's been observed that Hayseed Willows have a much faster lifecycle than typical trees. Due to the lack of abundant pollination, the Hayseed Willows have been producing more pungent spores in the face of dwindling repopulation within the Everfree. "Deemed unsafe due to the threat of swamp fever, the Hayseed Willows lack studied materials. Desperate times have given us reason to look into them further. Any information is useful information. Ponies are dying, we need to find answers. These new conditions have had... detrimental effects on the larger mammal and mammal adjacent populations surrounding the area (ie ponies, bears, gryphons, manticores, etc). A spore based infection hasn't been observed in cold blooded creatures (ei dragons, kelpies, serpents, various reptilian and aquatic species). Pure avian species getting infected hasn't been observed either, their resting body temperatures tend to be higher than mammals. Could infection rates be linked to host body temperature? Does the spore infection have to grow and evolve to combat the host's immune system fever response? Conclusion unknown." The rest of notes here are scattered. Everything seems to be written with extreme haste. Regarding the mane6: Twilight: Healthy. Stuck in Canterlot hospital both due to quarantine and studying. No progress, pulling samples from infected and any known immune ponies she can find. Twi has suggested case-controlled studies in allegedly unaffected species. This idea has been highly protested, though the ponies in protest no longer seem to be... There's been various creatures being moved to and from the hospital lower levels in completely blacked out boxes. Much of staff has no idea what she's doing down there anymore. Rarity: Healthy? Currently at sweet apple acres with the apple family. The boutique was quickly breached by infected ponies. Fashionable doesn't always mean functional, and the same applied to the boutique's exterior. Rarity was hurt in a scuffle trying to rescue opal, though infection not likely. She and opal are safe. Sweetie bell is currently at their parent's home in Canterlot. Rarity hasn't been able to contact her as the phone lines are down. She's worried about her safety, but has been told the Canterlot quarantine procedures have been successful. Pinkie Pie: Healthy, too op to get infected. She made it to the Pie family rock farm. Everyone is currently safe. Ghastly Gorge has been a great natural barrier between them and Everfree forest. No infected have been sighted yet, they've all been freely roaming the farm property without worry, but it's getting too quiet outside.. Apple Jack: Healthy. Locked down at the apple family farm. Rarity, Big Mac and Apple Bloom have all been healthy and safe indoors. Granny on the other hoof is losing it. After what looked like a small surface bite with no skin breakage, they thought she would be ok. But she has since gone mute and wanders aimlessly around the house. She hasn't been seen eating or drinking anything but shows no sign of fever or infection progression. Big Mac made the decision to lock her in the barn after an incident that put the family at-risk. Apple Jack has been observing her whenever the coast is clear outside.
Rainbow Dash: Infected? Dash has been trying to convince Canterlot guards to let her in to see Twilight. Due to visible bite wound, they haven't let her in. Dash has grown neurotic under stress and hasn't given up trying to break in. She doesn't appear to be worsening but her agitation has been subject of debate on her progression. There's been talk of escorting her to the hospital but no official action has been made. Guards are growing tired of keeping her out on top of keeping the rest of the infected at bay. How long until they tell Twilight she's here? She's hurting herself trying to break in.. Fluttershy: Healthy. Under strict protection of Discord at his home. The level of chaos down in ponyville has struck fear into his softened heart and he refuses to let Fluttershy get hurt. Discord know's a thing or two about chaos but not even he could conjure up such an outbreak. It's unnatural, but caused by nature? That's exactly what's scaring him. She's been trying to convince him to let her help. Her communication with the wildlife may be what Twilight could utilize to advance in her studies. Not to mention how worried she is about the animals at the cottage. The two of them might be exactly what Equestria needs right now.. next post: royalty at canterlot + what's going on at the crystal empire, timeline on how far things have spread.

Warning! Body wrongness (I forgo word), eyestrain. MLP infection: Magic fever is NOT for children.
It's been a few weeks since the odd disappearences: Lyra, DJ pon3 and even Mr Filthy rich himself went missin'. Apparently these ponies (and colt) were last seen entering or getting near everfree forest.
I went searching for Zecora since, well, mah sister got sick and She and some of her friends, hell, even Applebloom said that she'd might help.
So, I was makin' my way there's, I was prepared for anythin' when I suddenly heard something.. Something wrong
Then, I saw her.
Her description matched the mare that I was looking for but something was deeply wrong.
Why did she look so...
Tumblr media
Wrong?
I need to get back to mah sisters, now.

Skit Contest Entry 3
An Everfree Picnic - Submitted by WolfMage553
[The TARDIS fades into view with its signature sound in the middle of the Everfree Forest. Doctor, Derpy and Tick Tock exit out of the TARDIS and look around]
Doctor: [Deep breath] It's odd how a forest can be so comforting to see after such a journey.
Derpy: Tell me about it. After an adventure like that, the Everfree doesn't seem all that scary anymore.
Tick Tock: I have to agree with you on that one.
[Doctor's stomach starts growling]
Doctor: Well, I think that's the cue to get something to eat. How about a picnic?
Derpy: [cheerful] That's a wonderful idea.
Tick Tock: We'll need the supplies for the picnic.
Doctor: I think there are some supplies in the TARDIS. Let me check.
[Doctor heads back into the TARDIS. Crashing sounds soon echo from inside of the TARDIS. Doctor exits the TARDIS covered in a picnic blanket and carrying a picnic basket]
Doctor: [slightly muffled as he places the picnic basket on the ground] Found the supplies.
[Doctor uncovers himself from the blanket as Derpy looks into the picnic basket]
Derpy: It's empty.
Doctor: I knew I forgot something.
[Doctor picks up the picnic basket and heads back into the TARDIS. Even more crashing sounds soon echo from inside of the TARDIS. Doctor exits the TARDIS still carrying the picnic basket]
Doctor: One full picnic basket, all ready for a picnic.
Derpy: I got the blanket. Let's go. [starts running]
Doctor: Hey, wait for me and Tick Tock.
[The scene changes to Derpy happily setting up a picnic in another part of the Everfree Forest, sounds of plates and food being set in their proper place are accompanied by soft humming coming from Derpy as the viewpoint of the audience switches to Tick Tock looking at Derpy while the rest of the sounds slowly fade to the a heartbeat as a soft blush seems to form on Tick Tock's face. The sound of hoofsteps slowly approaching accompanies the heartbeat sound as Doctor slowly comes into view]
Doctor: [cheerful] Hey.
[Tick Tock jumps and turns around to face Doctor, a brief sound of shock and surprise escaping his mouth]
Tick Tock: Hey Doctor.
Doctor: Can I talk with you out of Derpy's earshot?
Tick Tock: [suspicious] Okay.
[Doctor and Tick Tock walk to another part of the Everfree Forest]
Doctor: What were you doing back there?
Tick Tock: I was originally planning on helping Derpy set up the picnic but she seemed to not need my help so I was simply supervising to make sure nothing went wrong.
Doctor: Really?
Tick Tock: Yes.
[A mischievous smirk begins to form on Doctor's face]
Tick Tock: Why are you smiling like that? You look suspiciously like the cat who swallowed the messenger bat.
Doctor: Canary.
Tick Tock: [Confused] What?
Doctor: The phrase is "You look like the cat that swallowed the canary".
Tick Tock: Fort Neighers was picky about what they used as messengers, but that's not my point. My point is why are you smirking?
Doctor: [Chuckles] You were watching her. With great interest, I might add. In fact, I believe you were...enraptured.
Tick Tock: She has been a companion to you longer than I have. Sometimes I feel the need to look to her for guidance.
Doctor: [teasing] Oh, I see. So what guidance did you find in staring at her for minutes without talking hmm?
Tick Tock [blushing while stammering] No no no, I wasn't staring at her silently.
Doctor: [teasing] Certainly.
Tick Tock: [blushing even more profoundly] I gazed...glanced, in her direction, maybe, but I wasn't staring...or really seeing anything even.
Doctor: [teasing reassurance] of course.
Tick Tock: [annoyed while still blushing} Sometimes, I regret becoming your companion.
Derpy: [loudly speaking from a distance] The picnic is ready. Get over here before ants carry off your muffins.
[Doctor and Tick Tock both walk back to the picnic and sit on the blanket]
Derpy: [confused] Tick Tock, are you okay? You look like you have a fever. Your face is red.
Tick Tock: It's okay Derpy, I feel perfectly fine.
Derpy: Okay. Let's eat.

Fictober 2019 #2:  “Just follow me, I know the area.”
MLP Fanfiction
Trigger warnings:  Horror, death, blood,
Sundew grumbled, cursing her luck.  She had been lost in the Everfree for hours.  Her orange fur was matted and filled with burrs and her mane tangled and frizzed from the humidity.  She had come into the cursed woods to find an insect-eating flower, her namesake, to deal with the biting flies back in Ponyville.  They had descended on the town with a vengeance over the summer and were getting to be more than just a nuisance.  They brought disease as well.  Ponyville Horsepital was almost overflowing with ponies struck with a horrible fever brought on by the little pests.
Before she knew what had happened, night had fallen.  The sun sank low over the treetops and vanished from sight far faster than she would have liked and the moon, red and swollen, sat low on the horizon.  She really began to worry then.  The earth pony hadn’t thought to bring a lantern with her as she only expected to be in the Everfree for an hour or so.
She wasn’t sure what to do.  Looking up at the sky she could see the stars above, but she had no idea how to tell which way she was going by them.  She sighed and steeled herself, then decided that as long as she kept moving in a straight line she would eventually get out of the woods.  Putting the moon straight in front of her, she walked directly towards it for a while, her hooves occasionally stumbling over a clinging root or vine.
After a few moments, she heard something off to the side.  Turning her head quickly, for she feared it might be some carnivorous creature, she saw what looked to be a pale green light, like the glow of a unicorn horn off in the trees.  She called out to it in desperation.
“Hello?  Is somepony there?”
The floating light stopped and seemed to turn in her direction, then bobbed up and down as though nodding.
“C..  can you help me get back to Ponyville?”
The voice that called back seemed oddly distant and hollow, like wind blowing through old broken reeds.
“Just follow me, I know the area.”
In spite of the weird intonation, Sundew breathed a sigh of relief.  She had finally found someone to lead her out of this nightmare.  Forget the plant for now, she would come back another day with a proper guide!
She trotted on after the light, vaguely catching the outline of the pony leading her onward.  It looked like a stallion, kind of heavyset from what she could see in the gloom.  Some dark color that she couldn’t make out.  He trotted on at a fairly good pace and it was hard for her to keep up.
“Slow down a little, I’m afraid I’m going to lose you!”
The pony slowed a little and called back in that same odd voice. “Just follow me, I know the area.”
Sundew scrunched up her nose a little in annoyance at the odd response and trotted along after.  She had been walking for hours and was beginning to get a little out of breath.  The ground was getting muddy and difficult to walk on.
She shouted ahead, “Can’t we stop for a minute?  I need to catch my breath!”
Again, the voice only replied, “Just follow me, I know the area.”
She was getting a little angry at this point and started to hurry along as best her tired legs would carry her.  This strange pony may have been leading her out of the woods, but he was being downright strange.  However as fast as she ran, he always seemed to keep almost the same distance ahead.
Suddenly one of her hooves came down on empty air and she found herself tumbling down a slippery, muddy bank into a foul, stinking pool of stagnant water.  She coughed and spluttered as as some of the nasty-tasting muck found its way into her mouth.  She grumbled under her breath as she made her way to the side, but her hooves couldn’t find purchase on the slick bank.  She was stuck.
“Hey!  I’m stuck!  Can you help me get out of here?!”
She didn’t hear anything at first other than the chirping of insects, then she could hear the squelching of slowly approaching hoof steps.  The moon finally broke the trees overhead, bathing the foul pond with a silvery light.
The water, while stagnant, wasn’t overly muddy and her fur looked fairly clean except for a few largish dark splotches of mud.  She used her hoof to try to wipe one of them away, but it clung stubbornly.  Making a face she rubbed harder until there was a sick squishing noise and a pop as the fat leech that had been latched onto her broke free and dropped back into the nasty water with a splash and left a trail of blood oozing down her foreleg.
She let out a shriek of panic, pleading with the stranger to hurry, to help her out of this hole!  She looked up and could see the strange pony silhouetted against the moon above for a moment.
Her eyes widened in terror as he..  as IT leaned down towards her.  Where a unicorn horn would be was an odd bouncy antenna, bending down with a green glowing bulb at the end of it.  It’s skin was the same smooth, shiny black that the leeches themselves were.  It had a face of sorts, but it looked like some crude drawing done by a young foal.  The mouth didn’t move at all as it leaned back its head, revealing it’s true, sucker-like mouth with rows of sharp teeth taking up it’s neck and lower jaw.  The thing slipped soundlessly into the water and slowly approached as it repeated in the same monotone way, over and over:
“Just follow me, I know the area.” “Just follow me, I know the area.” “Just follow me, I know the area.”

Legends of Arima characters
Name:Delmaus
occupation:Immortal of Portheous
Favored Weapon:Kopesh
Divine Aspects:Moon, Commerce, Ice and Dreams
Delmaus is a creation of the Architects formed late into the Everfree war. Unlike other immortals Delmaus harbors the unique claim to be a twin to her fellow immortal Zalamete. The moment of her creation was heralded by the first moonrise, reaching into the heavens to meet her sister’s sun in the first eclipse. Her moon’s ebb and tides, alongside the newly born sun, proved to have grand effect on the world. The rise and fall of the celestial bodies heralded the beginning of the seasons and weather, aiding the realm’s formation. Due to Delmaus’s battle lust and tendency to break into a berserk fury, alongside her fickle tendencies and inscrutable motivations, the madness of the moon has become a recognized phenomenon even among the Elysia. The moon shows dominance among the evening, when many creatures lay their heads down to rest. Delmaus uses this time to walk among the dreamers, seeking truths of the heart and entertainment in equal measure. Living nightmares look up to Delmaus as their almighty goddess, many believing that she created the first of their number. When the war was long over and the architects retreated back to the Immaculate Isle at the center of the world Delmaus was given dominion over the sacred country of Portheous, alongside her sister, Alexandria and Stygia Von Stroud. Portheous’ naturally cold climate intrigued Delmaus. Through study of the merciless realities of the north she teased out the arcane secrets of ice magic. The Immortals of Portheous rarely interfere directly in mortal affairs, at least visibly. In Delmaus’s boredom, she has developed many companies and fronts, playing games of commerce through proxies. She purposely lets her chain of command for these companies be loose to give others a sporting chance. If Immortals cared about material wealth, Delmaus could happily claim to be the richest. Connected to Portheous lies the realm of Elsewere, a realm whose secrets even the Immortals have yet to uncover. They know Elsewere is not empty but it does not have creatures or individuals to easily converse with, as compared to the Nexus. This left Portheous at a disadvantage with no significant Marked population to compete with their neighbors. Even though the Nascent worship Delmaus, they don’t tend to bend a knee as easily as those found in Kaleria. To remedy this power gap Delmaus gifted Portheous its own unique magical art; Necromancy, symbol of the Mad Moon. Delmaus’ plumage is known to alter color based on her own mental state, an ever changing cacophony accompanies highs of joy or ecstacy. More neutral colors and tempered purple are shown her emotions are in check, rare as this may be. When her wrath has been provoked one will find a shifting vortex of silvers and midnight purples. Few live long enough to truly appreciate the Mad Moon’s beauty in these moments of divine retribution.
Delmaus over the millenia has given birth to several demi-god children. A Few of note being.
Gareth IronBlood- The Tiger master of the Elements who helped to establish the Royal Mystics Academy.
Sindel CorspeEater- The crazy cannibal who fled into the woods and became one the strongest Necromancers in the world and a lesson for temperance.
Sanguine Shroud-Founder of the Iron city and the world’s strongest practitioner of the blood branch of necromancy. One of her youngest, twin sister to Nightshade Shroud.
Nightshade Shroud-The great shadow maiden who forsook her mother and left to Kaleria, becoming a truly mighty regent. The older twin to Sanguine Shroud.
Stella Nova-Delmaus’ youngest daughter, the half draconic mistress of destruction. Stella is a soft spoken juggernaut on any battlefield she enters, allowing carnage to speak in her stead. Stella is young but has already earned the title of ‘Siege Breaker’
Temple- Delmaus lives at her temple, know as the Temple of 28 Faces, her temple waxing and waning in mirror of the moon’s cycle. Her Priests and priestesses dress in robes of white and black, armed and trained with scythes and kopesh’s as their primary weapons. Blessings of the moon vary wildly and priests are not forthcoming with their, effects leaving those who seek Mad Moon’s grace to figure it out for themself. Temples across the realms are built to be identical to Delmaus’s primary temple, so much that damage to the primary temple that is not immediately fixed is then added to the other temples until it can be repaired.
Offerings-Offerings to Delmaus are primarily in the forms of Green apples, material wealth, ice toys/sculptures and cinnamon.
Holiday-Delrua: Delmaus’s holiday falls in the frosted Month of Endings. Cities host a grand feast of food cheering the Immortal for making it through another year. Gifts are given between friends and family, a drink of mead (sip for the small ones) is customary though this often leads to excess and a bit of fighting between people. This inevitably leads to further stories to tell around the fire in years to come, tales of upset spouses who find their significant others trying to fornicate with people or objects and the debaucherous mayhem of a city wide tavern brawl shared with equal humor. All of which pleases the Mad Moon. It is noted that every year there has been a full moon on the holiday’s apex.
Delmaus’s Capital city is known as Crater, it lies to the edge of the neutral lands that house the Iron city, being the closest immortal to Kaleria. The city used to belong to Stygia Von Stroud but they agreed to switch their cities for an unknown reason. Rumor is that Stygia had grown impatient with the yearly sieges of Portheous, and wanted to be closer to the battle.
Beserker’s- The warriors known as berserkers, no matter in where in the world they hail from, look upon Delmaus as their patron. They fight with fever, raw unrelenting power, and terrifying displays of martial prowess. They lose themselves in the bloodshed, and often need to be told of their deeds when they have calmed down. Many die in their rage, and force back their own demise through sheer fury. Some even survive past the battle. Delmaus has shown a great deal of pride in her warriors, granting blessings and curses in equal measure.

{ Seven Day Fever: Day 4- Ally From Above } [drabble]
Outside Canterlot all was quiet. Citizens had gone indoors and boarded up their houses for the end times with gallons of water. The sun erratically pulsed hotter than usual, making it a summer of record heat. Daybreaker’s threat to cause the sun’s explosion loomed. Magazines and newspapers that dared to still run called Celestia out on not acting enough. The same was said of Princess Cadance.
Finally, Celestia stepped outside the gates of the castle and got into her chariot. Some said she was leaving, abandoning her people. Some said she was going to negotiate with Daybreaker. Only Luna knew where she was off to.
The chariot was pulled far away and out of the protection of Canterlot’s shield. Deep into the forest of the Everfree. Celestia stepped out of the chariot and waited in an opening, looking to the sky. As Luna set the sun back at the castle Celestia sighed and lowered the scorching sun that Daybreaker had cursed.
She waited a few moments more.
“I should have known I could trust no sister of mine but Luna…”
“You say this,” came a deep voice “without giving me fair chance.”
Celestia turned to behold no one at first. But from behind a gnarled old tree stepped an almost painfully tall alicorn with a twisty, bent back horn and noble look. Her wings were long and a darker slate purple than the rest of her form. Her mane was the color of a lightning storm on a tumultuous night, flowed like her sister’s and now and again struck with glowing light. And her face strong-featured. She wore a crown of flowers bedecked with horns. Amber eyes blinked at Celestia.
“Sister, you summon me for a crisis? Why meet in private?”
“My people would panic were they to see you, Corona. Even in this world, you are alien to them.”
“And what is the crisis?” Corona cut right to the chase.
“A demon with some of my powers threatens to blow up the sun should we not sacrifice an alicorn to her. Our alicorns are our rulers. Just as it was at home.”
Corona’s eyes scanned away but she did not flinch.
“What is a demon doing with your powers?”
“I have not the time to explain this.”
“You will later. Or else I will not aid.”
“Very well.” Celestia agreed. “Sister…”
So much was left unsaid from there. Millenia of lost time. Of Corona’s blind eye turned on their late siblings’ crimes against Celestia and Luna. The intergalactic wars, the fallen planets, the friendships that could have been…
Corona said nothing for a moment but looked to Celestia’s golden chariot and the guards who stared back gaping.
“Hide me then.” She said with no inflection. “Another galaxy war is the last thing we need. What you need right now is your strongest warrior, me and your wits.”
Celestia nodded. “Thank you, Corona.”
For coming through this time…

EVERFREE FEVER
Character log: Stormy Weather
Tumblr media
The first to discover the long lost disease. She was sent to ponyville under the order of Queen Callisto to try and dig up the lost history of The Everfree Forest and why it formed. While she did find the answers the Queen wanted, it came at a cost.
She and the bodyguard she was accompanied by found somepony or.. some thing and it wasn’t friendly. The decades old body of patient 0 which still lived and moved. It attacked them and bit Steele on the leg. Unknowingly, Stormy allowed the infection to spread beyond saving to her bodyguard and friend and had her wing bitten by Steele’s body. However, she successfully escaped him and the Everfree.
They had been gone for a few days at this point and her friends in Ponyville got worried and were looking for her.
Skyfeather(a friend’s oc) was the first to find her. Stormy was in a state of hysteria and inconsolable absolutely insistent Sky cut her wing off. She was on the 2 hour mark of the first stage. By pure luck she was able to calm down enough to explain vaguely that if Skyfeather didn’t cut the wing off, she’d need to be killed or she would become a danger to ponies.
Everfree Fever has a weakness towards certain types of magic.
They learned that quickly as it burned the stump of her wing when another, her cousin Lily Ink tried to heal up the injury.
Unfortunately, Steele’s body had found a way out of the Everfree too and the infection spread. Rapidly.
Day in day out, Stormy tries desperately to find a cure. To undo the mistake she unknowingly made. It wasn’t her fault, she couldn’t have known but she blames herself regardless.
Any food she finds is given to the group that survive with her. She eats last and refuses otherwise. She doesn’t sleep either, her cousin and Skyfeather have to fight with her to take care of herself.
Skyfeather belongs to @nash-artz-my-gays

HEALTH OF INFORMATION THOUGHTS
Well this was certainly an interesting episode. a disease that if not cured in time transforms the affected into a tree. That's a pretty dark fate regardless of what you want to think happens when they're fully transformed. Either they're straight up killed by the transformation or possibly worse: trapped forever as an alive tree with no way to talk or move. But I do kinda like that, just another of the dangers of the World of Equestria. If those bugs in the camping episode earlier this season wasn't enough this should be another thing that if Equestria were a real place to go to just another reason to avoid the Everfree and/or any forest/jungle areas of Equestria in general.
Fluttershy showed more of how much she's changed since the beginning of the season. Even able to get Twilight moving in the morning without having to apologize for it. Speaking of Twilight, she was pretty cute in this episode, especially regarding the things around the cook-off.
Regarding Meadowbrook, I was almost fully expecting the reason she disappeared was that she somehow got Swamp Fever herself and failed to get herself the cure in time (How could that happen to the main pony who's been curing the disease? Maybe she got the bad luck of getting it in the last days of Fall and all nearby zap bees have already started hibernation). Of course that didn't happen and we'll probably hear the canon reason she disappeared later. But I was certainly thinking they were going that route for a time in the episode. Though I understand that might of been too dark a fate to even imply. I mean while we did get to see AJ's parents despite their status being deceased, we weren't told the details as to how they died (Some people did start a theory that they became the Apple and Pear tree twisted together due to Swamp Fever buuuut you don't have to think too hard why that's false)
Though the main thing about the episode and it's moral is that's it's not just avoid the magic disease. But it's also a big "Get some sleep!" episode since most of the episode Fluttershy does not get any sleep because she's been doing everything she can to help Zecora. Which is a noble effort for certain, but yeah you need sleep to truly be able to do some productive things.
But yeah it's a pretty good episode certainly for a Fluttershy perspective and adding more mythology. Only problem I know some have brought up is maybe Twilight could of used magic more then just trying to calm them down. But I suppose forcefully trying to get the honey out would probably still result in Twilight getting stung/attacked. Still some people may consider that a bit of a plot hole. But otherwise I thought it was a pretty fine episode.
Next time is another CMC episode, Seeya then!

Equestria Girls Review: "Dance Magic"
The first of three Equestria Girls specials aired on Discovery Family, so let’s get to it. The Rainbooms are trying to raise money for repairs to the dock at Camp Everfree. They are still short of their goal after a car wash and time is running out. So Rarity suggests they enter a dance music video contest. Two problems ensue. The first is that they will need to use some of the funds raised already to buy costumes and equipment. The other is that the Crystal Prep girls (sans Indigo Zap) are also entering so they can hold their Spring Dance on a yacht—and they play to win. They also play to copy Rarity’s idea after she tells it to them which is a mash-up of dances you’d see on America’s Got Talent, So You Think You Can Dance?, or Dance Fever. (Had to put in that older reference lost on younger fans.)
The girls try other ideas, though Applejack’s is something like a cooking show on CMT, Rainbow Dash foreshadows next week’s special, and Pinkie Pie….imagines as only she can. The Crystal Prep girls are also having problems. They have a dance routine (Rarity’s), but no song. Rarity offers the Rainbooms’ help on that in exchange for dance lessons from the Crystal Prep girls. The result is a well-animated musical number to go with the bonus track from the “Friendship Games” soundtrack. So both the dock gets the funds for repairs and the Crystal Prep girls get their dance on a yacht.
It’s a good special, though it borrows heavily from “Rarity Takes Manehattan” (albeit with no Coco Pommel) and the third act is a bit rushed here. I also have to fault the focus on a little bit. I mentioned the concepts, but there didn’t appear to be as much drive for the dance video until late given that they are trying to fund the repairs for the dock. Maybe that’s just me, though, so take what you will. The costumes were nice, though.
So, a plausible start for the first of these three specials, though a bit rough around the edges.
