NOAH
The world was always in a state of grey, the life of the concrete jungle persistently sucking out the souls of its inhabitants with every passing second. Destruction. Crime. Greed. A shattering abyss of capitalism and corruption.
Yet, within this lifetime, I don’t think I was meant to be the good guy either.
Perhaps there was a chance for me, someday or somehow within another universe.
For now, the only thing I could think about was how my heart pounded as the gun sat between my fingers, threatening the innocent ahead. Destruction, Crime, Greed.
“Noah, let’s go,” Ruffilo pulled at my wrist in desperation. My arm remained still, resisting his force.
The woman’s eyes watched me in horror, tears brimming as her back hit the brick wall behind her, arms wrapping protectively around her body in defeat.
My heart raced, and I stood frozen in place.
“I won’t say anything I swear,” She pleaded, lips trembling, saliva foaming from her mouth as she was too afraid to swallow.
I don’t want to do this, but I fucked up.
“Noah,” Ruffilo said through gritted teeth, “We need to go,” he placed a hand on top of my gloved one, in another attempt to have me lower the bad decision.
I closed my eyes, squeezing them shut in contemplation as my chest heaved, the voice of rationality fighting against the voice of destruction.
I’ll be even more of a fuck up if she rats on us.
You’ve never been able to kill anyone before you moron, why do you think this time will be any different?
My eyes snapped open, leathered finger dancing along the trigger as I stared at her. My teeth barred through chapped lips, a snarl of frustration crawling from my throat. The woman's eyes turned away in fear as if watching her own demise would kill her. Ironic.
Seeing her in complete terror left me broken. Is this who I am? I am nothing more.
The next thirty seconds passed as though I was walking through molasses, my thoughts battling contradictions before I audibly screamed in frustration, shoving the gun back into my pocket as Nicholas and I ran towards the van.
“Fuck!” I yelled, slamming the car door as forceful as possible. The tires squealed in place, burning out as Jolly’s foot pounded onto the gas pedal.
I ripped off my ski mask, throwing it angrily onto the floor of the vehicle.
“You should’ve just left her Noah. Now if they find us we could be charged with assault with a weapon.” The deep Swedish accent was the last thing I wanted to hear. He eyed me sternly in the rearview mirror. I lingered on his gaze for a moment before turning my head towards the window.
“Oh Fuck off Jolly,” I sighed angrily, closing my eyes as my breathing quickened, the anxiety beginning to set in. The pounding of my heart began to vibrate along my entire chest, and my leg bounced in anticipation, waiting for the panic to subside.
I kept justifying to myself that we’re all dead anyway, so what’s the difference between a God and a loaded gun?
+++++
Y/N
Wrapping the grey apron around my waist, I clocked into work and tightened my low bun, tucking the loose strands of my H/C bangs behind my ear. Another shift, another day that felt wasted away, confiding into the capitalist abyss.
Overall, I enjoyed my new job working in the coffee shop. The city was busy, something I definitely wasn’t used to, but the cafe was a comforting environment filled with tasty pastries, and an unlimited amount of caffeine to fulfill any heart's desire.
I did appreciate having a solid routine, and a stable job that paid me well, however, I envied those with freedom. Those with spontaneous adventures and the ability to travel; those who got to spend their days making memories. You never know when a day is going to be your last; and at this rate, my soul was going to linger within this fucking place forever.
I sighed as I checked on the coffee pots, organizing them before neaty lining the glass display with more cakes and croissants. Stocking up the cups and lids, I hummed to myself, letting my mind wander into my corporate daydream distractions.
Why are you never real?
Whenever you appear
You leave me with that grace
I am trembling with fear
But I know that you will disappear
“How’s it going Y/N?” My coworker asked, smiling, pulling me out of my trance.
Annika; I have grown quite fond of her, even though I’ve only known her a week.
“Good,” I smiled, pulling a sanitized cloth out of a bucket and wiping down the counters, “yourself?”
“Oh you know, same old same old.” She said, sighing with a sad smile. I matched her as we shared a moment of familiarity, before concentrating again on wiping the surface, the cold cloth running along the faux marble.
The seating area was already busy; friends chatting, students studying, and business meetings occurring. I enjoyed watching the bustle of life that everyone brought inside. I smiled as I watched our regular elderly couple I’ve seen each morning this week wave goodbye.
“See you Lauren, bye Ray,” I gave them a nod, before wandering over to empty tables, giving them a wipe. The door dinged as more people came in, but I didn’t bother glancing up, letting myself work.
I hummed again, singing ever so quietly as I walked back to the counter and began to daydream, thinking of things I’d love to write about, and places I’d love to go. It’s only been three weeks since I left my old life behind, and this was just the beginning of my freedom.
So let's make trouble in the dream world
Hijack heaven with another memory now
I make the most of the turning tide
It just split what's left of the burning silence
“Sleep token?” a man's voice asked, pulling me out of my trance.
My head immediately spiralled, flushing with embarrassment as I realized Annika was off helping someone else, and I completely ignored the customer in front of me.
“Oh- sorry.” I avoided eye contact, throwing the cloth back into the bucket and scrambling my way back to the till.
“What can I get for you?” I asked as I stared at the buttons in front, preparing myself to hit stay or go, before looking up at the man in front of me. As soon as I met his deep brown eyes, I was lost in a certain intensity, the mysterious depths beckoning me towards him.
My lips parted as I stared at him, my cheeks immediately warming from infatuation. His chocolate eyes were paired with a head of long brunette hair that flowed in all the right places, just below his collarbone. A variety of coloured tattoos covered his arms and neck, and when he smiled, I just about felt weak in the knees; the crinkle of his eyes and the fold of his smile lines left me captivated. However, another story lingered behind his gaze, my mind trying to peel the layers to reveal whatever it may be.
He too watched my face, eyes trailing over every detail as a light tint of blush trailed down his ears to the top of his cheekbones.
“Uh- is it to stay? Or to go?” I stuttered as I looked away, realizing I was staring for too long. My ears felt hot and I eyed the counter intensely, as if it were the most fascinating thing in the world.
“To go please,” he said; and my god his voice, the slight Virginian accent that danced off his tongue held me in a chokehold.
“What could I get for you today?” I asked, glancing up shyly. I've met plenty of attractive customers in my years of retail and serving, but I never had anyone caught my eye the way he did. The unknown puzzle he appeared to be was leaving me captivated.
“I'd like a coffee please, black?” he said slowly, as if it was a question.
I let out a small laugh, “Did you want cream or sugar? Or we have a variety of syrups-” I watched as he smiled, before shaking his head, eyes remaining fixated.
“No, just black is okay…” he said. Something about his October eyes tantalized me, pulling me towards him as if invisible strings were being woven between us as the seconds ticked by. His body was a magnet, and I was being tugged.
“Sure thing,” I nodded, averting my eyes from his gaze in embarrassment, “that's everything for you?”
“Uh, yeah,” he said, fiddling with his wallet before pulling out cash.
“Can I grab a name?” I asked shyly, looking back at him again, my eyes searching his entire face for answers as if his name would reveal all the mysteries he was hiding.
I extended my hand to grab his money, and he hesitated for a moment as if scared to touch me. He placed the bill gently in my palm, the tip of his tattooed fingers brushing across my skin. My hand burned as butterflies churned in my stomach.
“Noah,“ he said, giving a slight nod and tight smile.
“Noah,” I echoed, giving him his change, the cool silver coin radiating the heat off of his palm.
“I’ll have that ready for you shortly,” I smiled up at him, and he returned it, stepping back with his hands in his pockets. With shaky hands, I turned around and walked to the coffee pot, grabbing a cup and filling it with a warm drink.
Annika slithered next to me, bumping my shoulder gently, “That’s Noah, a regular. He hasn’t been here in a while, but he’s always so glum.”
I looked at her, nodding slowly, unsure what to say.
“He also always grabs cream and sugar, so I’m surprised he’s changing it up.” Annika turned around, eying the boy for a moment before leaning into me again, “must be because he’s so distracted, checking you out.”
Blush tinted my cheeks as I scoffed, “Yeah, sure.” I exhaled with doubt but took a quick glance at the brunette. Sure enough, he was watching from behind the counter, averting his eyes as soon as we made contact.
“You should give him your number, maybe that’ll cheer him up,” Annika whispered, giving me a wink before walking away to help another customer.
I laughed lowly as I put on the lid, sliding a sleeve up the cup. Grabbing the sharpie I opened it, and my fingers hesitated- what if I did?
I shook my head gently, shaking away the thought before scribbling Noah’s name across the top of the lid.
“Noah,” I said, his name passed off my lips as if he breathed it from me.
His inked fingers wrapped around the cup, “You were singing the apparition earlier,” He said, and I watched him curiously, “fascinating, the line about the past.”
Every word felt like it was being taken from my body as we watched each other. Both of us seemed to hesitate, waiting for the other to say something.
He spoke first, eyes gazing upon me for a moment as he turned towards the door, “I’ve never seen you before, you must be new around here.”
I wanted to respond, but I felt frozen; so I watched every step he took towards the door, the black hoodie he wore lingering in my memory.
“Welcome to the neighborhood, Have a good day,” He nodded, before walking through the door, the bell signalling his dismissal as he left.
Well, I believe,
Somewhere in the past,
Something was between,
You and I, My dear
I let out a breath I didn’t know I was holding in. Perhaps it was infatuation or complete adoration; but regardless my heart yearned, regretting the way I held myself. Thoughts churned throughout my mind as I replayed the way he looked at me. I don’t think I've ever been looked at with so much intensity.
Fuck, why didn’t I get his number? I internally groaned, scolding myself, turning around to fix another pot of coffee. A few minutes went by as my mind raced with thoughts before I heard the door open again.
I instantly turned around, surprised to see the same long-haired brunette standing at the till once again, his locks tousled messily, but still cascading down to his collar bones elegantly.
“Hi,” He said, out of breath, as if he had been running. With parted lips and quick exhales, he smiled.
“Hi,” I said confused, my heart picking up pace once again.
“I think, I forgot cream and sugar,” He said, holding out the cup. His fingers shook as his cheek blushed.
My head tilted slightly as he eyed me, and I grabbed the cup from him gently, “How many of each would you like?”
“One and one.” He smiled, face flushed.
I felt my breath hitch in my throat as I turned around to pour the sugar and cream, mixing it in his still-hot coffee.
“One cream and one sugar,” I watched as our hands touched as we passed the beverage, fingers grazing, tingles sparking through my appendages.
Noah looked at me, our eyes searching each other for any other form of communication, but he spoke first, the question bluntly leaving his mouth, “Do you believe in love at first sight, or should I walk by again?”
I gave him a dumbfounded look, eyebrows turned inwards in shock. My lips slowly upturned into a smile of disbelief, his questions catching me completely off guard. I tilted my head to look at him as a laugh escaped me, and he too joined in, his own laugh shy and reclused.
“I- I think you should walk by again,” I watched him, coming up with a quick witty response, “But only so I can get another look as to what you’d look like walking towards me on a date.”
I cringed at my own words, laughing, and Noah’s smile widened at the banter.
“So, I’ve gathered that we are both really terrible at flirting,” He said, taking a sip of his coffee and licking his lips once he pulled the cup away.
I hummed in agreement, “I think that can be a safe deduction from this one-minute conversation,” my eyes following his fingers that now ran through his long chestnut hair, eyes trailing over the flower on the back of his hand, “maybe, you’d like to see how bad a longer conversation could be?”
Noah’s eyes twinkled with curiosity, giving me a look, “Do you want to risk it all right now?”
I smiled as my heart began to race, the glint in his eyes only excited me more. I grabbed the sharpie that was initially filled with regret earlier, wrote my number on top of a napkin, and handed it to him. “I’m off at 5, and I don’t work my next job till 9”
Noah licked his lips again, “I’ll see you then.”
---
I stood outside the coffee shop with my earbuds in, awaiting my bad decision. Pulling my hair out of my bun, I attempted to run my fingers through my hair to make it look even a little flattering. Would he show up? Was I delusional? Was this whole idea absolutely insane? Who does this with a complete stranger?
“Hey.”
I recognized the upbeat of his voice, and my ears immediately shifted colours. I pulled out an earphone as he strode towards me, hands shoved in his hoodie pocket. The way his hair flew behind his shoulders left me watching him in complete adoration. He was beautiful.
“Let me guess,” Noah bit the inside of his cheek as he approached me, “Same song?”
Don’t wait, ‘cause this could be the last time
You turn up in the reveries of my mind
I wake up to a suicide frenzy
Loaded dreams still leave me empty
“Possibly,” I smiled.
“I think you’d really like this song by Deftones,” He began as we started walking down the street aimlessly without a plan.
“Can I guess?” I asked, looking up at him. Noah towered over me, inches above in height. I felt so small against his frame, despite his own lanky figure, and my heart began to race at our proximity. Every step he took it felt like I had to take three, his Dior cologne radiating through my senses.
Why are you never real?
The shifting states you follow me through
Unrevealed
Just let me go or take me with you
“Is it sex tape?” I asked, and Noah gave me a toothy grin, clearly impressed.
“I don’t know how you guessed the exact song,” He said, squinting at me quizzically.
“What can I say,” I shrugged, “Good at reading pretty boys’ minds. Plus, it’s a good song, similar vibe.”
He eyed me playfully as we stopped at the crosswalk, “So you think I’m pretty?”
I watched the other side of the street, smiling as I faced forward and hummed, “Well, I don’t think I’d spontaneously go out with just anyone.”
He turned to face me, looking down at me with amusement. “Fair enough.”
“For the record, 100 percent my type,” I said, looking at him through my lashes.
Noah’s face flushed again, “What is that type? Just so I can scope them out for you, ya know?”
I thought a moment, chewing on my lip, “Oh you know, hot long-haired brunettes, brown eyes,” my eyes trailed down his body to scope his hands, before trailing back up to see the snake poking above his hoodie collar, “with tattoos,in a variety of places.”
“Well,” Noah’s cheeks tinted deeper, “I do have tattoos all over my body if you ever feel the need to explore them all.”
I laughed, watching him. We stared at each other for a moment longer, my heart pounding, as his eyes devoured me before the beeping of the sidewalk timer pulled my attention away from him.
“This is probably the weirdest thing I’ve ever done,” I confessed and shook my head as I laughed in disbelief.
“What?” Noah asked, hands in his jeans pockets as he gazed between me and the path ahead.
“Going out with someone I know nothing about,” I began, “for all I know you could be a serial killer,” I teased.
Noah chuckled, “Fair. I suppose this was the last thing I thought I’d be doing this fine Tuesday evening- but I do find a dash of danger titillating.”
I smiled widely, “so, you’re not a serial killer?”
“Not that I’m aware of, I can’t say it’s something I would get much from,” Noah laughed, but I noticed he looked away, eyes becoming distant.
“So who are you then?” I asked, Noah and I follow each other down the park path towards the neighbourhood. I pulled out my earbuds, shoving them back into my pocket. The wind was picking up slightly, causing me to shiver and pull my sleeves over my hands, fingers intertwining together in my hoodie pouch. We were walking along a path by the inner city river, the leaves of the birch trees swaying as they danced along to nature’s beat.
As I strolled next to Noah I felt an odd sense of comfort, despite knowing absolutely nothing about the man beside me. I watched him, his hair flying behind him, his eyes squinting through the wind.
“I don’t really know who I am,” He said, staring out at the water. The river flowed rapidly, the water washing over the memories of the city, carrying them through the ground in a prophesied path. I walked along with him quietly, waiting for Noah to continue speaking.
“I’m just a lost soul, I guess,” He spoke softly, eyes glazing over slightly as his mind pulled him inwards.
I nodded in understanding, “I suppose that I am too.”
Noah chuckled lowly, “Nah, there’s much more to your story,” he pried, pulling himself out of his trance.
“I mean, of course. Everyone has a past,” I looked at him curiously.
“What’s yours?” Noah watched me intently, pulling his hoodie over his head in an attempt to block the wind from blowing his hair into his face, “You’re not from around here.”
“How do you know?” I asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Accent,” He said, “And I’ve never seen you around. I know these parts pretty well.”
“Hm. Fair enough.” I nodded, smiling, “I just moved here, from Canada.”
“To the shit hole city of Los Angeles?” Noah scoffed, surprised, “You had the whole world, and you chose LA?”
“City of dreams, they say,” I shrugged, my gaze falling upon the leaves again, “and I needed to get as far as I could.”
Noah was quiet for a moment, pondering. We walked in silence again, heading towards the houses.
“Running from something?” He asked, barely forming a whisper. Noah’s eyes met mine as they searched for an answer, attempting to read through me.
I sighed, tilting my head to give him a small smile, “Always.”
“Who?” Noah asked after another pause, sitting forward in interest.
“Ghosts and demons,” I laughed, lightening the mood, “Oh, and people too.”
We laughed together, our voices creating a harmony that I wanted to listen to forever.
“I left behind everything—everything I ever knew,” I began, turning to avoid Noah’s eyes.
“My parents were murdered,” I said. I expected him to immediately bombard me with apologies, as people always did when dropping a bomb like that; but he was silent, letting me continue. “I was thirteen. Lived in and out of different foster care homes- no one wants to ever take in a teenager.”
Noah hummed, prompting me to continue. We walked down the sidewalk along the street of houses; nearing my own. Staring at it as we walked by, I turned my attention forward.
“Unfortunately got in with the wrong crowd and some really bad people who only loved and wanted me when I could provide them with things.” I stifled a laugh, suddenly feeling insecure and small, “Basically I worked my ass off to get out, and I’ve finally made it and bought my own place.”
I looked over at him now, giving him a smile, “So still running, but a lot closer to my destination.” I felt an immense amount of appreciation for his ability to listen.
Noah smiled back, giving me a knowing glance; almost as if he understood. Turning his attention toward the houses he scanned them, watching each one intensely as we walked by.
“Sorry, I don’t know why I just trauma-dumped on a stranger,” I gave an uncomfortable chuckle.
“Nah, we aren’t strangers now,” He said, “Definitely more like acquaintances.”
I smiled at his reassurance, “And you? You’re quite mysterious.”
Noah was quiet, his eyebrows furrowed in concentration and thought as we enjoyed each other’s company, his eyes darting rapidly over the grass as if he were filtering through memories. I watched his lip run between his teeth before he turned to me, giving me a curt smile.
“I’m just Noah,” He said; but as I stared into his eyes, devouring his soul, I saw that he was much more than that.

NOAH
“Where the fuck were you?” Jolly yelled, “We’ve been waiting for hours.”
I slammed the motel door, the place we called home, glaring at him, “nowhere mom, it's not like you need to know.”
“You’re right,” Jolly said, stepping forward, pushing himself towards me so our chests were almost touching.
“I don’t give a fuck what you were doing, who you were doing, or whatever- But you know what time you need to be back, and you’re late.” Jolly’s finger pressed into my chest as he scolded me. We stared at each other, eye to eye, his gaze furious. I pushed against his chest, making space between us as I furrowed my brows.
“Whatever, sorry, I got carried away,” I mumbled, throwing myself onto the cot that rested on the floor I sighed, my cheek smashing into the musky-scented pillow. Staring at the 80’s retro carpet splayed on the floor, I analyzed the faint outline of the blood stain left by Ruffilo last week when he cut his knee open from a previous job.
“It’s your turn, Noah.” Nick Folio slapped the backpack onto the table as he sat back in the chair, crossing his legs on top of the wooden surface. The joint was lit between his lips as the smoke trailed through his teeth.
“I fucking hate doing this shit,” I protested, shaking my head as I rolled onto my back, letting myself close my eyes momentarily. Ruffilo tossed me my gloves and mask, the fabric hitting my chest. I groaned angrily as I sat up. I pulled the black leather gloves over my fingers to cover my tattoos. Standing up I shoved the black ski mask into my hoodie pocket, before throwing my phone into my cargo pants.
“Just this one for the week brother. Then you don’t need to worry about it till next week.” Nicholas Ruffilo said, smiling at me gently. He knew I hated this. He knew I wanted it to stop.
“How many more fucking weeks, huh? It’s been years. I’m sick of this shit.” I snapped, and Nicholas, being the glue of this group, placed his hands on my shoulders.
“I know,” he said, watching me cautiously.
A bitter laugh escaped Jolly’s lips, “What else are we going to do Noah? Magically pull a million bucks out of our asses?”
I loved Jolly, I really did. He was my oldest brother for as long as I can remember- but fuck, did I ever want to punch his face into the wall sometimes.
Jolly sat back in the wooden chair next to Folio, “You know the drill. It’s nothing new. We do what we gotta do to survive; how else are we going to pay back D?”
I shrugged Nicholas’ hand off my shoulder, muttering to myself in annoyance as I grabbed my combat boots, kicking my black vans underneath the cot. I tied up the laces, knotting together the memories of previous jobs, the back of my mind replaying years of regret.
Cracking open a beer, Jolly took a swig before mumbling, “Don’t forget you’re the whole reason we are in this mess in the first place.”
My head snapped up immediately, eyes locking onto his, ears burning a deep red as my face heated, “Yeah? Why don’t you say that again you fucking prick?”
Jolly raised his voice, sitting forward in the chair, elbows resting on his knees as he leered into me, “I’m sick and tired of hearing it, Noah. Do you think we enjoy doing this too? Do you think we want this? Don’t complain about the work when you fucked us over first.”
My chest heaved as I grew irritated, eyes glaring as his words stabbed me, “I was fourteen!” I shouted, spit flying from my mouth, “I wouldn’t have done it if you hadn’t told me to in the first place!”
Nicholas reached for me again, pushing against my chest to hold me back. I aggressively hit his hand away, grabbing my backpack vigorously and throwing it over my shoulder.
“I didn’t tell you to do anything,” Jolly growled, watching me as my fists clenched, muscles tightening.
“You’re the one I’m supposed to look up to!” I yelled.
“It’s not my fault your parents died,” Jolly said, and both Nicks immediately turned to look at him, eyebrows furrowed in disappointment.
“Don’t you fucking bring them into this!”I screamed, seething, ready to lunge at the long-chestnut-haired man in front of me. Nicholas wrapped his arms around my chest, pulling me away. I squirmed against him, closing my eyes in anger as I fought the tears that brimmed them.
An hour ago I was sitting with one of the most beautiful humans I had ever laid my eyes on. I’ve never done anything as risky as spending time with someone I just met, especially someone like Y/N. She seemed so brave, so gentle… so worthy. How someone could captivate me within mere moments, left me baffled. I knew I was in complete infatuation, and I already felt myself craving to see her again. I have gotten a coffee from that cafe almost every day for a year; it’s the only stable part of my routine. Everything was always the same. The coffee, the customers, the servers, everything. Everything but Y/N. Seeing her threw me off, not necessarily in a bad way, but in a way that felt like she was placed there as if maybe she was just for me. She seemed like a breath of fresh air in my stale, grey, lifeless world. Something about the way she spoke, how she seemed so mysterious, her wit and her beautiful fucking eyes.
Now here I was, being reminded that I was unworthy of anyone.
“Do you know where you’re going to go?” Nick asked me, pulling me from my thoughts. He handed me the joint, a way to divert from the tension,
I nodded, “I walked around a neighbourhood I’ve been eying lately, the one close to the coffee shop.” Wrapping my lips around the joint I inhaled, letting the smoke fill my throat and lungs. I coughed as I handed it back to Folio.
“Don’t you think that area is a little risky?” Nicholas said, raising a brow, “we spend enough time around there.”
I shrugged, “I scoped some places earlier. Close together and tight nit. Enough places to hide. Seems like most of the owners are elderly, it's an old neighbourhood.”
Nick took a final puff of the joint, before blowing out the smoke through open lips, placing the bud in the tray beside him, “Elderly is good. Lots of nice shit; if you sort through the useless junk. Bring the gun for the scare factor.”
“Yeah, I was planning on it,” I said as Nick held out the weapon, my finger grazing across the metal. Even through the glove, I felt its cool, metallic texture, my mind jumping back to the woman held before it earlier.
What am I even doing?
Shoving the gun into my waistband I opened the motel door, “See you guys later.” I nodded to each of them, eyes lingering on Jolly for a moment longer.
“Text if you need anything,” Jolly said through gritted teeth, taking another sip of his beer, and avoiding my gaze.
I walked down the wooden stairs, passing the rundown vinyl wall that lined the entire building. As I passed the paint-peeled doors listening to various arguments, and the sounds of sex. The scent of weed and stale alcohol lingered on the cement, decades of grime living within the premises, never fully washing away. As pathetic as it was, it smelled and sounded like home. It was all I had.
I pulled my hood over my head, letting my hair cascade as a shield around my face, my legs carrying me through the neighbourhood. It was 12:30 am, the nightlife bare as only a few cars passed by me, unaware of my felonies.
I wasn’t sure which house would be my victim tonight, but I prayed, to whoever God was, that it would be quick. Get in get out.
I placed an earpod in my ear, scrolling through songs, before choosing The Apparition. Perhaps, if this is all a dream, I can go back to the time I met her. As they say, ignorance is bliss; and I was tired of consciousness.
And it remains With me to this day No matter what I do This scar will never fade

Y/N
I clocked out of work, sighing through the exhaustion of my 12-hour day. Thankfully my bar shift was only four hours, but I was tired regardless, knowing I had about 8 hours till I had to be back at the cafe, to do it all over again. I reapplied my red lipstick in an attempt to hydrate my lips, the crisp 1 am air biting at my cheeks. Thankfully home was only a ten-minute walk away, and the only motivation carrying me was that my warm, comfortable bed was waiting for me; and my cat.
I also couldn’t help but still feel giddy about meeting Noah earlier today. My heart yearned as I reminisced about his smile and mysterious aura. My stomach churned with butterflies from the exhilaration. Was this just a one-time thing? Never in a million years would I have thought I’d go on a ‘date’ with someone I just met; but It’s not like I do much other than work. My life needed that little bit of excitement.
I sang to myself, letting the incitement of possibly receiving a text from him in the morning carry me through the dread of working tomorrow. I let my thoughts wander to ridiculous daydreams as I reached the front door of my townhouse. I put the key in, twisting it; realizing I locked the door.
Shit, did I leave it unlocked this morning? I know I was tired…but I’m pretty good at remembering that.
With furrowed brows I opened the door, closing it and double checking it was locked. My orange cat, Juice, was not sitting by the door in his usual spot. Every time he heard the door he was always right there, waiting. None of the lights were on, which usually never worried me; but I knew that I kept the living room lamp on so it wouldn’t be dark when I got home. Maybe the power went out.
“Juice?” I called out, my stomach beginning to churn with a dreadful feeling. Something wasn’t right. The house was eerily silent as I walked quietly toward the kitchen.
“Juju baby? Where are you?” I yelled, turning on the kitchen light. I placed my bag on the counter, listening intensely for his meow.
The floor creaked above me in what sounded like a pattern of footsteps, and I froze in place. That was too loud to be a cat.
There was rustling above the stairs and my breath hitched in my throat as my heart raced. I felt my pulse radiate through my ears as I reached for the biggest kitchen knife from the block. The adrenaline rushed through me as I slinked towards the stairs from the kitchen.
I peered up the stairs into the darkness, the only source of light coming from the windows, illuminating the crevasses of the doors upstairs. Another creek sounded and I watched the shadow dance along the wall as the door to my bedroom opened. With shallow breaths I carried myself up the stairs, tiptoeing, barely allowing myself to exhale in fear I would be too loud.
This is how people get murdered in horror movies you dumb bitch.
As my heart pounded heavily underneath my rib cage, I made it to the top of the stairs, turning on the light to the hallway.
Suddenly the bathroom door opened and I screamed, deep from my diaphram; but the only thing appearing was my cat; wide-eyed and meowing.
“Jesus Christ cat!” I yelled, falling onto my knees as I scooped him into my arms, running his orange fur through my fingers.
“You scared the absolute shit out of me,” I let out a breathy laugh, mocking myself for being so silly, before kissing the top of his head. Juice wriggled in my arms, letting out a meow to be put down. I placed him on the floor and he ran into my room. Shaking my head I placed the knife on the bannister, following Juice.
He sat on my bed, meowing towards my mirrored closet as I entered. Turning on the lamp next to my bed, I pet him, “What? Are you hungry? Your bowl is literally full.”
I pulled off my sweater, throwing it into the laundry hamper. Juice began hissing and I stared at him confused.
“What the hell is-”
A hand covered my mouth before I finished my sentence, and I immediately screamed into it, my sounds muffled into the gloved appendage. Another arm wrapped around my torso as my eyes widened with fear, and I froze in place, held tightly against the captor’s chest.
I felt the pace of their heart match my own, their chest heaving up and down heavily.
They turned our bodies towards the mirror and I stared at the reflection, tears beginning to fall from the terror I felt.
The man behind me towered over me, his grip never loosening from my body. Everything was covered except his eyes and mouth, peeking through a black ski mask.
I whimpered against his hand my stomach sinking at the sight of the gun that poked through his black cargo pants, but the most terrifying thing of all was the scent of Dior cologne.
“I’m not going to hurt you,” He said, accent burning into my memory, and I watched him in the mirror. It was him. Noah. I knew his voice, this had to be his cologne.
A wave of dread filled my body and I began shaking, crying into his hand. He followed me home, I never should have gone out with a stranger. How could I be so fucking stupid?
“I’m going to leave, and you’re going to let me. Understood?” I nodded, tears drying on my cheeks as I watched his every move. He closed his eyes, as if in regret before he took a deep breath. I don’t think he knows I know who he is, but there was no way in hell I was going to get killed being a crying little bitch. I’m going to harm this motherfucker and get his ass thrown into jail.
“Please don’t scream,” He said, his grip loosening on my body, and when he fully let go I swung around, kicking him forcefully in the family jewels. Noah fell onto his knees, a deep guttural groan emanating from his throat as he held himself in agony. I scrambled into the hallway, grabbing the knife off the bannister and pointing it towards my door.
“You fucking followed me you creep!” I screamed, anger seeping through me, “You’re a fucking lowlife, get out of my house or I’m calling the cops, Noah.” His name crawled off my tongue while dripping with complete disgust, the syllables sickening. I pulled my phone out of my pocket, fingers shaking as I typed in 9-1-1.
“I swear to god I had no idea this was your house,” He said pained as he crouched out of my bedroom, “please Y/N, don’t call the cops.”
“Why shouldn’t I call the cops!” I yelled. Noah’s eyes darted between the phone and me, following my thumb as it hovered over the green call button.
“Just don’t,” Noah said, holding himself against the door. I pressed the button, holding it up to my ear as it dialled.
Noah immediately looked frantic, before his hand reached for the gun placed in his waistline, pulling it out and pointing it at me. Immediately I froze, and the voice of the 9-1-1 operator was dampened by the drowning ringing of panic.
“Hang up,” Noah whispered, the gun shaking in his hands through his demand.
“Hello? Are you there?” The lady on the phone said.
“Y/N, hang up, please.”
Time felt frozen as I stared at the gun, memories flooding back from the murder of my parents. My bottom lip trembled, the phone falling from my hands, onto the carpeted floor. My body was stiff, completely locked in place.
“Hello?”
Noah’s other hand reached out gently, palm open and inviting; countering the symbolism of the weapon present in his other hand. He reached down towards the phone, ending the call.
He let out a sigh of relief, hanging his head in guilt. Throwing the gun to the floor, he kicked it towards the bathroom, before pulling the mask off, revealing the face I yearned for earlier.
He looked broken, and torn, as he watched me completely crumble before him, the panic attack rising in my lungs.
“I- I didn't mean to scare you I- I” Noah began to stutter frantically, moving towards me, “I can’t have the cops come- I can’t leave my brothers.”
I fell to the floor, holding my knees to my chest as I stared at the gun by the bathroom, terror taking over. My breathing became erratic as I began to hyperventilate.
“I swear to god I’m not going to hurt you,” Noah leaned down, sitting in front of me as he held my wrists.
I tried to take in breaths, I tried to pull myself away from him but I couldn’t move. I gasped for air, suffocating myself, unable to exhale.
“Breathe,” Noah’s hands now grabbed either side of my face, “please Y/N breathe!”
His eyes ran across my entire face, holding me, “Count back from 100 in 3’s with me, ok?”
“100, 97, 94, 91, 88…” Noah began, and I followed.
“85, 82, 79…” I choked out, and Noah’s grip on my face loosened, and he moved his hands to hold my own.
I wanted to run away so badly, I was terrified, but at the same time I was scared I wouldn’t be able to breathe again.
Noah counted with me, demonstrating a stable breathing pattern and my chest followed his own, mimicking him, “58, 55, 52, 49…”
Finally, we reached zero, and my breathing was normal. I retracted my hands from his own violently, pulling them into my chest as I scooted away from him as if he were the most vile thing in the world.
“I don’t know whether to say fuck off,” I said, glaring, “or thank you.”
Noah watched me with worry before he ran his gloved hand over his face. Realizing they were still on he groaned in frustration, peeling off the leather angrily and tossing them to the side, his tattooed hands now exposed.
I watched as his fingers shook, my eyes following the outline of the flower once again.
“I’m sure you don’t believe me but I swear I didn’t know this was your house.” He began, holding his hands up in surrender. His eyes looked at me, pleading.
He looked so genuine, so sincere, he had to be telling the truth; but fuck that.
“You’re right, I don’t,” I snarled, “But what the hell were you doing in someone else’s house anyway?” I wiped my mouth, the lipstick I put on earlier smudged across my skin. I probably looked like a complete mess right now. Noah watched, eyes tracing my lips.
“I- I swear If I could tell you I would,” Noah rambled again, looking at the carpeted floor, “but I-”
A loud triple-knock at the door interrupted his sentence, and he stared at me with wide eyes, the colour draining from his face.
“This is LAPD!”A loud voice boomed from the other side of the door, the doorknob turning, attempting to open.
“Shit,” Noah mumbled, looking around the hallway frantically. He stood up, searching for something before he stared down at me, an idea clicking in his mind. Noah tore his sweater off, along with his black tank top underneath, leaving him shirtless before me.
“What the hell are you doing!” I whisper-yelled, looking up at him with furrowed brows.
“Kiss me,” He said, kneeling in front of me again, complete distress and fear glazing over his eyes.
“Excuse me?” I now yelled, a little too loud as the door below us rattled again.
“LAPD! Open up!”
“I need you to kiss me, please,” Noah’s eyes bore into my own as he begged, “Trust me, just this once, please Y/N.”
I analyzed Noah’s features, his deep October eyes imploring.
Call me crazy, but somehow I obliged, leaning in with permission. Noah’s hands gripped the back of my head, fingers tangled through my hair as he pulled me onto him, kissing me with complete desperation.

Notes: Hi y'all, welcome. This fic is going to be set during Season 2 of The Mandalorian, and will be what I like to call canon adjacent’. ALSo, this chapter is very much so Reader focused, setting up the scene and the general pacing of the story, but naturally, Din will be more and more featured as things progress. I’m a sucker for backstory and a slow burn, so ye be warned. Please feel free to reach out to me. :) I’d love to hear from you lovely little beans. Be safe out there, friends.
Lothal was a planet all too familiar with occupation.
You remember seeing a quote somewhere that read ‘Look no further than Lothal if you want to see what happens when the Empire takes control of an entire world’; and although the Imperial chokehold had loosened when the Empire fell, the planet, even all these years later, still found itself gasping for breath.
Off world migration from the Core Worlds had been popularized since the expansion of the Imperial government bureaucracy, which brought booming business opportunities for the fortunate few, but as the rich became richer, the poor grew poorer. The Lothalites were forced out of their homes, off their own lands—refugees on their own planet; forced to resettle and relocate with nothing but the clothes on their back and the possessions they could cram into their pockets. The only heirlooms passed on from generation to generation were that of poverty, tall tales of former splendor, and the greatest of ancestral traumas: disillusionment.
The truly desperate turned to crime, and what couldn’t be solved by back-dealings and blaster fire was managed with fear mongering and the bitter flair of xenophobia. There was always a species to blame, and it was always the one who seemed to be doing better off, no matter how slight the margin.
Greed. Fear. Despair. These are the currencies in which the galaxy trades.
And so it was then, and continued to be, cycle after cycle. History, always finding clever ways to repeat itself.
On bad days, pollution still loomed heavy over the atmosphere—remnants of the fires from the Imperial occupation still clinging on to Lothal’s weary bones. She had been stripped during that time; gutted and strung up by her feet to dangle from the Empire’s meat hook, exsanguinated slowly, drop by drop, until she had nothing left to give. Her resources and minerals and ore and water and seed, robbed. Pillaged.
She’s free from it now, but the scars remain— the planet remembers. Her people do not forget. Like muscle memory, they all ungulate to this synthesized rhythm they can’t seem to shake, day in and day out, wandering. Forever unsettled.
The planet had always had a diverse population and had become something of a safe haven for other abandoned people fleeing their home worlds, determined to find somewhere - anywhere - for them to survive. Lothal provided that for them. It wasn’t rich or bountiful by any stretch, but it was simple and safe—safe in the way hidden things in plain sight are. One could blend into the crowd of many, unique faces, of all races and backgrounds; you could be anonymous, if you wanted. You could be free.
That’s how you’ve found yourself here in Jortho. You had been with the Refugee Relief Movement for the better part of what felt like forever, and they had transferred you to this planet not six weeks ago. You were out on rotation; the RRM sends someone new twice a cycle for the span of a month or two to varying locations to supply rations, aid with the influx of refugees, organize resettlement lodgings, and generally be of assistance when and where you could. However, your tenure on this temperate planet was coming to a close, and soon you’d be flying back to the headquarters on Coruscant before being bounced to another post somewhere out among the stars.
You love your job. You know it’s unpopular to say, but you do. It’s fulfilling and impactful and indescribably special. The individuals you meet, the stories you hear, they’re invaluable— priceless and precious, like handmade trinkets crafted by the fingers of a child; you press them all to your heart, holding them there. You’d be lying if you said it didn’t get to you— the weight of it; the plights of all of these people, all of these lives, burdening your conscience. It isn’t always painless— you aren’t immune to it. Even so, on most nights you manage to sleep easy, tucked away aboard the transport freighter you flew in on with the batch of settlers newly assimilated into town knowing Maker, at least you were doing something— anything— everything you could.
And really, to call Jortho a town would be an insult to all towns everywhere—but ‘town’ has a certain charm to it that ‘refugee camp’ simply did not, and it gave the people hope. Pride, even. That they belonged somewhere.
You suppose that’s all anyone wants. To belong.
A feather soft gust of wind tickles the golden blades of prairie grass as the sun, bleary and tired, starts dipping from the sky. The crickbeets begin their song early, trilling, sensing Lothal’s moons still coyly tucked away, hiding somewhere along the horizon. A smile adorns your face, private and serene, as you bring a bowl of broth up to your lips, humming when the warm liquid meets your tongue. You sigh, contented, taking in the sights before you; how the dusk blurs the aromatic air, making it opaque, the shuttles docked across the way from you casting long purple shadows onto the flat plains, the snowcapped mountains in the distance bordering the cant of the planet’s surface, nestling Jortho in a shallow valley.
You feel calm, at peace, and take another sip.
An easy moment passes, and it’s the last one you get before silence stalks up from behind you.
You don’t notice it at first, like any patient predator, it goes undetected: the white noise, the nothingness— until finally, you do and then suddenly it’s everywhere. On top of you. Smothering you. Goosebumps stipple your skin and you bristle. The insects have stopped chirping. The breeze has stilled. The air hangs dead.
And then—
Chaos.
You’re hit with a blast of crushing heat, the sheer power of it picking you up off your feet and onto your side, sending your body careening into a nearby structure. Your shoulder takes most of the blow, but your neck still snaps backwards unnaturally, the back of your head colliding with the stone wall behind you with a dull thwack. You let out a groaned cry at the impact, the wind knocked out of your lungs as you crumple to the ground.
For an instant, your vision goes white, stars popping and fusing out in front of your pupils, and it’s like you can feel everything and nothing all at once, hollow but overwhelmed, and all you want to do is close your eyes and drift asleep— Maker that would feel like a luxury, just right here on the damn dirt. And you almost do, you almost let yourself slip under and sink— until you hear a piercing scream from somewhere close.
Immediately your eyes shoot open, desperately blinking away the blurriness that threatens to over take them, and you try pushing yourself up by the heels of your scraped hands, failing once - twice - before finding your footing. You’re shaky at first, uncoordinated and dizzy and redownloading bipedalism, before that sweet drug of adrenaline starts to course through your veins and finally, finally, you take in your surroundings.
The ships that once stood across the field are gone, obliterated, and in their place only metal ribcages remain—empty carcasses like dead birds splayed on their backsides, imploded from the inside out, their bits strewn all around you.
Your breathing comes hard and heavy, fighting down panic, and cloudy eyes search through the thick black smoke billowing up in stacks, trying to pin point the source of the scream you’d heard just moments ago. You cough a strained wheeze, sputtering against the charred air, and wade your way through the debris— it’s only then that you realize the magnitude of the explosion. It’s not just the landing bay, it’s half the kriffing village. The buildings that neighbored the airfield had been decimated, burning roofs and crumbling fixtures, homes collapsing onto themselves, scorch marks and shrapnel branding the outsides of the shanties left standing.
It looks like a battlefield. You’ve seen holovids of this—what war can look like, how it can ruin a people… But you’ve never had to stand in the middle of it, head on.
Your heart drums against your chest as you break into a hobbled run, desperately scanning the area for any signs of life, up and down, left and right, straining against the waning daylight. It’s then that you hear your name, urgent and frantic, and you whip your head in it’s direction, knees nearly buckling in relief. You immediately recognize your friend Hareem, brandishing her arms at you, waving you over to her.
“Thank the Maker, you’re alright!” the Balosar cries out, trembling hands finding purchase on your shoulders, bracing you. You don’t know if its for your benefit or her own, but either way you’re grateful for the grounding pressure; for the first time since the initial blast, you feel solid, like you won’t just float away, atomized and weightless. Worried, you look her over. A sliver of fresh scarlet blooms from her scalp, a small line trickling down past her temple, but she otherwise looks relatively unharmed. You grasp onto her wrist, squeezing firmly.
“What the hell happened?” You ask, voice low and pitched, wide fearful eyes drilling into her.
“T-There was a man-” And she shakes her head, mouth clamping shut, deep wrinkles framing her face.
“Hareem,” you reassure, giving her another squeeze. I’m right here. I’m not going anywhere.
She tries again with a steadying inhale, “I-I saw him. A-a man. He had a device with him, and he set charges, and Maker I don’t know— I don’t know— it went off a-and he ran towards the center of town!” The Balosar is in hysterics, tears spilling down her dirty cheeks, and it takes your brain a moment to catch up, to wrap your mind around the words she’s stuttering out.
A man.
Device.
Charges.
A bomb. This wasn’t an accident; this was an attack—and he’s still kriffing here. You cup her cheeks, thumbs rubbing against the pale skin, smearing away the blood that’s nearly dripped to her chin. Your friend’s gaze is flighty, everywhere and nowhere, and you try giving her a smile, but you’re not quite sure you manage it.
“Hareem? Hareem. Hey, shh, you’re okay. You’re alright…” You peel your eyes off her to glance around hurriedly. “We need to find cover.”
///
You’re holed up in one of the few remaining homes on this side of the encampment, crowded into the small space with three other survivors. All four of you, packed in and silent and petrified. Unsure of any further threat, you stay completely still. Helpless. Laying here, idle, for whatever awaits you behind that feeble, wooden door. You feel like prey for the wicked, just passing the time.
Minutes inch along like this—or maybe its hours; time moves eerily different when you’re attempting to become invisible—and eventually, you almost begin to relax.
Almost.
But a new sound breaks the din, hard to recognize at first, indistinct from all the commotion outside their hut, but you hear it. You all do. The youngest of you, a teenaged Devaronian, grips onto the hem of your shirt, knuckles creasing with anticipation. You tense, spine going rigid. Footsteps. They’re slow, guarded, but they’re getting closer. You bring an arm up, for all the good it’ll do, creating a human shield in front of the boy at your side. Closer. Someone behind you muffles a whimper. Closer. A Bardottan you hadn’t even met until today let’s out the faint whisper of a prayer, lips barely ghosting over the phrases. Closer-
and then, nothing.
They’re here. You can sense him, see his shadow sweep across the gaps in the entryway. You all hold your breath, as if the air is being syphoned out of the space… And the door is flung open, nearly breaking off it’s hinges as it slams into the inside of the house, shuttering the rickety walls with a jarring bang.
You don’t know who looks more astonished: you four, or the Mandalorian before you, dripping head to toe in silver plated armor, pointing a blaster directly at your head.
“Where is he?” He asks, hard edged and modulated, and it’s more of a demand than a question—but he lowers his weapon all the same, holstering it at his side. You gape at him, guppying wordlessly. “Volcur X’elo. The bomber. Where?” He hasn’t moved an inch out of the doorframe but he’s still managing to loom over you, completely filling up the archway, shoulders set and impossibly intimidating.
You gulp, finally finding your voice. “In town, i-in the center of town…” Kriff, you had not idea if that intel was good or not, but it’s all you think to say. Seeming satisfied with your answer he turns on his booted heel, cape whipping behind him, leaving just as soon as he arrived. The dust barely has time to settle as the door teeter’s on its hinge, its rusty squeaks filling the void in the Mandalorian’s wake.
“Fuck,” you hiss, exhaling a breath you didn’t realize you were holding, doubling forward, propping your palms up on your knees.
///
After deliberating it with your group, you all come to the agreement of braving it outside. Better to be out under the open sky than die under a concaving apartment, clambering over each other to get to the exit. After all this, at least your dignity was still partially in tact— normally, you reckon you’d chuckle dryly at that. But you don’t.
Can’t.
You lead the pack through the mazelike streets. The sights that once seemed so familiar after weeks of living here become like strangers to you, and you sleepwalk through Jortho, snaking down paths marred by rubble and fallen wreckage— you haven’t seen any bodies, but maybe that isn’t true. Maybe you’re just too scared to notice them. Maybe they’re there, hovering just outside of your peripherals, haunting the corners of your vision…
You keep your head fixed forward, jaw clenched.
Your feet move on their own like this, only vaguely aware that the red-skinned boy still hadn’t let go of your tunic. You forge on. Have to. You have to. Your only purpose on this kriffing planet was to help these people, to bring them aid, and if that means simply planting one foot in front of the other, then so be it. You take side alleys, double backing here and there, ducking under canopies, looping around yourself, only stopping when you catch a glimpse of beskar, the orange setting sun glinting off the surface of his helmet.
And he’s not alone.
You freeze suddenly, as do the rest, and the Devaronian bumps into you, stumbling under his lanky legs. Some paces in front of you, the bounty hunter has the other man, this Volcur X’elo, by a punishing grip on his shoulders, shoving him forcefully out in front of him; his wrists are bound and he’s fitful without the stabilization of his arms, his feet staccatoed and flailing wildly beneath him as the Mandalorian marches him forward.
The wind shifts, and on it you can hear the bomber rant madly, only catching snippets of the vile nonsense that spews from him.“- like swine, they are a plague to the system! And they must be purged from this planet, and the next, and the next— every last filthy one!” You spare a glance to Hareem, to find her watching the scene in hypnotized horror, but your eyes snap back at the sound of something maniacal, drawing your attention. It’s laughter. The zealot begins to laugh a twisted, mocking cry that makes you want to vomit. “You might have me in binders Mandalorian, but you’re too late. You’re too late. This isn’t over!” He’s practically giggling, gleeful and demented. Disturbed. “You’ve only found one.”
Your blood runs cold.
Only one? Oneoneoneone, one what-
The realization hits you with a punch to your gut. He’s only detonated one of his bombs. Somewhere, nearby, there must be another.
Without another word, the Mandalorian whips the smaller man around, pulling him sharply by his collar to collide with his breastplate, completely dwarfing him with his beskar frame. “Where is it, X’elo?” Nothing. Only laughter. High pitched, terrible roars. He tries again, patience ebbing. “The bomb. Now.” X’elo’s head tilts back and he howls another crowing shriek, keeping private his own sick joke, as if clutching a secret to his chest with slimy hands.
The bounty hunter had heard enough. He clearly wasn’t getting anything more out of him, and with a quick strike, he rears his blaster and pistol whips the terrorist with it. The body drops. Volcur X’elo crumples, unconscious, blood streaming from where he was struck. You hear the Bardottan behind you stifle a cry with her fist.
And with that, Lothal’s sun disappears completely, stealing away the last of it’s light as it furls into itself, shrinking out of sight. The dark ushers a new wave of dread, creeping over Jortho like a miasma, poisoning the very air.
The Mandalorian wheels around, searching for his heading in the labyrinth of the town. Others have gathered now, poking their heads around corners, stealing glimpses through windows. He turns, his head on a swivel. “Where is your power generator?” he demands, addressing the small crowd, but you’re all too stunned to speak. “Anybody. Generator. Now.” There’s something new in his voice, something muddled, and it takes you a moment to interpret it. It’s desperation, you realize, tinny and deep through his vocoder, and with a surge of adrenaline you move forward, furthering yourself from your group. You swallow. “I-Its this way.” Upon hearing your voice, he spins around, his visor latching on to you, and with a nod you both set out.
“Watch him,” the Mandalorian growls past his shoulder, stepping over the bounty’s limp body.
///
You’re still not really sure how he knew where it’d be, you wonder to yourself, gravel crunching under foot as you both trudge on, an eery quiet settling over them. You’d say it was a lucky hunch, but judging by the way the Mandalorian carries himself, you doubt luck had much to do with it.
You had led him to the power generator hub on the other side of the sad excuse for a city, traveling in tense silence, and when you came upon that tall, bulky machine he sprang into action, circling it until he found what he was looking for. The bomb. You stood back, rooted there, and after some grunting and rewiring— or maybe he just hacked at it with a vibroblade, you had no idea; his wide frame engulfed his work and you couldn’t tell what he was up to, all you knew was that his methods proved successful— the man managed to disarm the second device. You had thought you noticed his shoulders release, slumping with relief, after the red flashing lights on the rudimentary interface flickered and then went dark.
And so here you are. The two of you, bathed in the bright light of Lothal’s twin moons, their bellies hanging full in the blue-black night, illuminating the trail of blood staining the dirt beneath your boots as the Mandalorian roughly drags the body by his ankle behind him— through the exploded rubble, through the fragmented lives of the people around you, already displaced and estranged. They’ll all have to move, you think, pack up their lives, or what little is left of them, and relocate. Again. The thought sinks in you like a stone, sobering you.
Even with the weight of a fully grown man to lug, the bounty hunter is still a few long strides in front of you and your eyes are trained on the unconscious form, taking in the way his mouth lolls open like an animal, his hair matted with thick blood, eyes rolled back into his head. You’re talking out loud before you even realize it.
“How sick do you have to be,” you mumble, transfixed. Your voice, it’s not angry; no, shock has effectively robbed you of that— it’s not anger, but bewilderment. Quivering, broken bewilderment.
“H-How hoodwinked and warped you’d have to be, how disturbed... For you to think like that. To do all... all this...”
“Hey,” his gruff voice shakes you from your trance, and you blink up at him, tearing your eyes off the body. “Focus,” he urges, and you can only nod dumbly back at him, suddenly feeling a ripple of nausea slither through you.
The ramp to his ship is lowering as they come upon it and you plant yourself at the base, feet seeming to stop on their own accord, and frankly you’re not really sure why you’ve even followed him this far in the first place— always a step behind him as he hauled his bounty all the way through the vestiges of Jortho, across the arid prairie to where he first touched down. Maybe it’s because you feel untethered, unmoored, and all of his steeled surety is like a lighthouse, a beacon, guiding you away from the rocks.
He heaves X’elo up the ramp and you’re left standing there, staring unseeingly into the durasteel, becoming more and more aware of the ringing in your ears. The longer time passes, the more it’s as if you’re underwater, the background blurring into the foreground, sound gargled and far away. A high pitched buzz pinches your ear drums, and it takes you a moment to realize the Mandalorian is calling out to you, trying to get your attention.
“— Dala.”
Does he sound annoyed? Kriff, you think he might... If you had your wits about you, you might be able to recognize it. But as it stands, you don’t. You’re not here, not all of you. You’re splintered. Suspended.
“Hmm? Sorry, what..?” Your mouth is as dry as Jakku— parched desert tongue darting across your cracked lip, tasting soot and ash and something metallic. Brow furrowed, you touch a shaky finger to the flesh and when you pull it back, crimson red dots your skin.
Oh, you think, numb. Huh.
Your eyes skitter back up to the Mandalorian, towering over you, nearly at the apex of the incline, and his stance is broad and his fists are clenched. You’re almost positive he’s glaring down at you through his visor, and you don’t even know the man, can’t even see his damn face, but you can tell he’s peeved— Maker, just how long had you been ignoring him?
A scratched noise comes through his helmet’s vocoder and his next words are clipped, punctuated. “I said, do you have a way off this skug hole?”

The unrequited: Kirishima
Tumblr media
You and Kirishima met on the school bus. You sat next to him on the bus. After a few rough turns and bumps, you were basically in his lap. He was obsessed with how soft you are. Just feeling you bounce and fall against him made him blush and he struggled to keep his thoughts together.
Instead of sitting quietly, you offered an earbud to him, so he could listen to music with you. Shortly after, you two were best friends.
You would spend nights in his dorm and you would listen to your favorite bands together, singing happily. You two just vibe together perfectly.
Every time his hand accidentally brushed against yours, his heart would skip a beat. You came to him one day, and he decided it was time to confess his feelings to you
Both: I have something to tell you!
You: Oh! Sorry you go first.
Kiri: No no you go first, you seem so excited.
Maybe you are going to confess to him too. He is so excited to tell you he can’t help the blush that’s flooding his face. He’s been waiting for months to say just how much he admires you.
You: are you ready?
He nods slowly, glancing down at your lips as you lean in to tell him.
You: Bakugo kissed me!
With those three words his heart dropped into his stomach. He tried his best to smile and take interest, but he had to bite his lip to fight back tears.
He tried his best to be supportive of y’all’s relationship, but as you two grew together he knew he had to pull away. Kiri knew that he couldn’t be a good friend to Bakugo and be in love with you. After he had a nightmare about being the best man at your wedding and having to watch you get married to someone else, he stopped hanging out with you so much.
The flame: Bakugo
Tumblr media
From the moment he met you, something clicked in Bakugou. As much as he would hate to admit it, your ‘do no harm take no shit’ attitude had him captivated. You two were very different, but there was something unspoken there.
The bickering between you two lead to intense sexual tension. One day, you walked into his dorm, looking for a notebook of Kirishima’s. All of a sudden the handle on the door twists and he sees you standing in his room.
Bakugo: What the fuck are you doing in here?!
You: Dont get your panties in a twist, I’m just looking for a notebook.
Bakugo walks past you, pulling the notebook out of a desk drawer.
Bakugo: Are you that desperate to look through my stuff that you’ll find any excuse. You know I’d never associate with a side character like you.
You snatched the book out of his hand, glaring up at him with the nastiest look you could muster.
You: Whatever, at least I don’t look like my hairstyle was inspired by roadkill
Bakugo: Go fuck yourself.
You: Why would I do that when that’s what your mom is for?
Bakugo grabbed your face roughly, spinning you and throwing you onto his bed behind him. Before you could react his hands were on your thighs. Minutes later you found out that he is very much a thick thigh man and it’s worth mentioning you couldn’t wear shorts for weeks.
Your relationship was intense. You would lay in his bed as he studied, showing him the music that you love. Even though he pretended not to care, he would listen along with you as he worked. Everything was great, until it wasn’t…
One day you jumped in front of a villains attack for him and when you woke up in the hospital, he was furious at you.
Bakugo: How could you be so stupid? You can’t do that! You aren’t like me! You can’t just get hurt for me! Look at what has happened, all because you got in the way! Leave me alone from now on, get out of my way.
Of course he didn’t mean it like that, but it was too late. He couldnt properly express that you worried him, and after everything with allmight, he reacted poorly to his need to protect you. You knew he needed to grow and it couldn’t be at the expense of you, so you left.
He still listens to the music you showed him.
The match:
Tumblr media
Mina had set up a Halloween blind date for you. She said show up in a costume and your date would take you to a Halloween party that night, so you put on cute cat ears and a tail and headed to your date.
You stood outside the designated cafe, sipping on a warm drink and feeling the cool air caress your skin. From the corner of your eye you see a man walk up to you.
Hey.
When you turned you see a tall man with a mess of purple hair. His face looked a little tired but he looked at you with happy curiosity.
Shinso: I know looks dont matter, but I see you brought yours just in case.
You couldn’t help but blush and chuckle at the cheesy comment, earning a wider smile from the handsome man in front of you.
He reached up to your costume ears, rubbing one of the ears between his thumb and pointer finger.
Shinso: Cute costume, what are you supposed to be? A hamster?
You: what are you with that hair? A troll doll?
He smiled down at you cheekily moving his hand to scratch the back of his neck.
Shinso: Im dressed as Aizawa, tsk tsk I figured you’d recognize it. I’m just kidding about the hamster thing, you make an adorable kitten.
You two talked and laughed back and forth while you finished your drink. Conversation with him was just.. so easy. Before you knew it, the two of you walked into the cafe to get some sweets and tea. His compliments made you blush, and he flirted with you shamelessly.
You watched as he stopped mid-sentence, thinking for a moment before smiling and speaking again.
Shinso: How about we…. skip that party?
You blushed at that, a little embarrassed with how forward it was, but also kind of into it. When he realized what went through your mind he blushed as well.
Shinso: I mean how about we go trick or treating?
You: oh fuck yeah.
You two spent the night together, going door to door getting candy. Some would make comments about how you two are way too old to be trick or treating, but shinso would simply say he was just a very large child dressed as an adult for Halloween.
Eventually you two went back to his apartment. When you met his cat, it absolutely loved you, and it wasn’t the only one.
Shinso: Well now you can’t leave. My cat has accepted you as its mother, so now we have to co-parent.
Never in your life have you been with someone who made you so comfortable. Talking was so natural. His touch excited you like electricity. And the physical intimacy was beyond expectations. Let’s just say he definitely learned how to use Aizawas capturing ropes. He loved to tie you up tightly. Watching your curves try to burst out of his knots would turn him feral.
You two loved to read with each other, playfully bickering about who gets the cat in their lap. He loved your music and you two would spend your car rides singing together as loud as you could. The only thing you really argue about is that he wants you to sit in his lap while you do art, but he always gets excited and you can’t focus.

My Protector
Requested by @emmaelizabeth2014
Can I please get a David x Reader where they are married and she gets hit on and he gets super protective?
Warnings- none? I mean there’s mentions of a gun but I’m not sure if that needs to be a warning consider its David Budd
Tumblr media
“I’ll be right back love” is what your husband David said before he excused himself to the bathroom, leaving you sitting at the bar alone- well not for long.
You were soon approached by a drunk man, coming closer and closer to you while you sat in your chair.
“You’re s-so pretty baby” he says trying to touch your face, you quickly hoping off of your chair and backing away from him. “You’re so smoking h-hot” he continues to walk closer, as you’re still backing up. “What’s a pretty chick like you doing here all alone?” he slurs out. You moved back once more before you bumped right into someone.
“She’s not alone, she’s with me, so you might want to back off” David growls out as you cuddle in close to him.
The man scoffs and gets in David’s face. “And what are you g-gonna do about it if I don’t”
“David no!” You whisper to him as you see his hand creeping down and being placed on his gun, which is covered by his jacket. It’s normal for him to be carrying his gun, considering his profession he may need it in case of an emergency, but this wasn’t the time to use it. “Relax. Let me handle it love” is all he could say before letting you go and moving closer to the man.
“My name is PS David Budd, and I will do all that I can to keep everyone here safe tonight, my wife included. I am required to carry a weapon and I am required to use it in cases where someone is hurting, harming, or putting others in fear or danger. You getting handsy with my wife is hurting her and causing her to have fear, so what I will do about it is have you arrested, or even shoot you if you try to pull anything. Not to mention touching without consent is sexual assault, so make your choice pal, if I were you, I’d be wise and leave” David sternly says to him, but all the drunken man can do it laugh
“I don’t believe y-you’re an officer-r. To much of a p-pretty boy. Let’s see that gun ma’am.” And before you knew it David had his gun to the mans chest in one hand, and his badge in the other hand. All eyes are on the three of you at this point. I mean, you can’t blame them. Your husband has a gun pointed at a man in a public place, and he needs to put it away before this matter turns worse than it already is
You slowly begin to walk up to David. “David put the gun down”. He responds without looking away from the man “Y/N stay out of it”. You normally would listen but he is off duty, this isn’t work, and he needs to put it away. “David let's just leave, put the gun away!” You exclaim
“Y/N I said stay out of it!” He yells with his gun still pointed. “I will not be the one to leave first, but I will be the one to make sure everyone is safe here, especially my wife. Sir you need to leave now, or I will call back up.” David says calmer than before, finally the man listens, scoffing a “whatever” before exiting the bar.
David finally puts the gun away and apologizes to everyone, them quickly understanding after he explained the situation of what happened before the gun was pulled and that he is an officer, showing his badge around as proof.
At this point your heart is racing and you’re half in tears, you know this is what he does for a living but you’ve never seen it in action, especially when you are the cause. It happens to be quite overwhelming.
“Are you okay love?” David wraps his arms around you, you shaking your head. “I just want to go home” you tell him. “That’s what we'll do then”
You both get in the car and David begins driving back to your house, before you finally break the silence.
“I would like to talk about what happened tonight” you look over at him. “What happened tonight? I don’t think there’s much to discuss dear” he casually says, trying to avoid the situation. “David you pulled a gun on someone for no reason! Well, you had reason but not a good one. He was just a drunken idiot saying dumb stuff. Why would you do that?”
“It’s my job” he says quietly.
“It wasn’t your job there. He wasn’t fighting you, or bombing the building. I am in no way sticking up for his actions but all he did to you is run his mouth.” You explain
“You don’t get it lovey. I don’t mean my work job, it’s my job to protect you. You are my love, my life, my whole world. I don’t know what I’d do without you. Maybe I overreacted but he was getting in your business and I wasn’t going to hesitate to take action, I can’t have anyone hurting you, so if that means I need to pull out my gun every now and then, that’s what I’ll do.” He takes one hand off the steering wheel and holds onto yours tightly.
“David I love you more than anything in the world, and I am so lucky to have someone that cares so much for me and wants to protect me like you do. I appreciate it so much but you had me really really scared back there”. He pulls into your driveway, parks the car, and looks at you with sad eyes. “You were scared of me?”
You shake your head and smile at him, “No baby, I’m not scared of you. I was just scared of what he could’ve done to you, or what you could’ve done to him. What if you shot him and got arrested, or he had a gun and shot you? I worry everyday when you go to work that you won’t come home, I can’t live without you. I don’t want you to ever get hurt, I can’t lose you.” You wipe a tear from your face
“Don’t cry sweetheart” he runs his finger over another tear, wiping it away. “You will never lose me, ever. And if it makes you feel any better to know, I’m so safe at work. I always have backup just minutes away, I wear a bulletproof vest, I will always come home.” He cups your cheek and smiles
“Promise?” You sniffle sticking out your pinky
“Promise” he hooks his pinky finger on to yours. “I also promise many cuddles to happen soon when we go in before we go to sleep, so we best get inside” he says making you giggle.
And that’s exactly what he did. You crawled under the comfy covers of your shared bed, and snuggled up to your husband, who held you in a tight protective grip, showing you just in the way he holds you, he’s never leaving your side.
“Just one last thing about the bar incident, whether you like it or not-“ you cut him off, “you’ll always be my protector” you whisper against him smiling, slowly falling asleep.

Loki’s Sigyn
Gif is not mine. I’m not enterily happy with this (the original thought was to turn into a multi chapter thing, but my drepression doesnt let me do much so...) but I need something to take me out of my hole so hope its decent Xx
ps: english is not my first language so sorry if you find any mistake <3
Warning: insecure reader yeah sorry about that ..
Summary: Reader is the reincarnation of Sigyn and an avenger, but her shyness  doesnt let her confess. Will she be able to with a little push of her friends?
“You know, you should just talk to him” The Avenger said smirking from behind the girl
“Shit Sam, you scared the shit out of me” Y\N said with her hand over her heart while he just shrugged
“Don’t turn the point here” The man replied with a smirk and his arms crossed
“I don’t know what you’re talking about Samuel” Y\N responded with her mouth full of chocolate
“Oh so nothing to say about our dear god of mischief hun? Perhaps I should talk to him then, asks about this whole tension between you gu-” The Falcon pretended to walk away from behind the column in the gym where the other avenger hid
“Wait-” The girl whispered\yelled “I –I don’t talk to him” She said shyly
“What? Why?”
“Why? Oh let’s see maybe because in some twisted way I used to be his wife! And now, not only I discovered that I have Sigyn’s powers, that happen to be his powers mixed with hers, but I keep having – hum – these dreams or memories, or whatever about him. And not to mention that doesn’t help with the fact that I have a major crush on him but I’m not able to stay close to him without making a fool of myself.. That when I don’t turn into a tomato and run”
“Woah slow down to breath would ya?!” Sam chuckled “Loki changed a lot, not that I really met him before but.. You should talk to him”
“Says the guy who is still trying to ask the girl on the 5th floor out for almost 2 months” The girl turned with a smirk on her lips and the chocolate bar on her hand
“That’s complicated business” Sam defended himself turning to the training partners, Loki and Wanda
“More complicated than reincarnated-wife?”
“Ok, you win this one … But, you still should talk to him”
“And say what? Hi Loki, you know the fact that I look exactly like your dead wife and also have yours slash her powers? So, that’s not all! I also have a major crush on you, maybe that’s because we’re soulmates, according to what Thor said, or maybe the fact that I think about you so much my head hurts, or even because of this strange and really weird dreams I keep having about our other life, where I sometimes wish I could go back to” The girl tried to keep calm but even in her low voice she kept rambling and nervous.
“Well, that would be a start.. You should really start breathing between some words you know?” Y\N rolled her eyes and turned to the god again “I’m serious maybe one after three or four words..”
“I’m serious here” The newest avenger exhaled turning to her friend “ I can’t keep avoiding him forever”
“Well, you’ve proven to be really good at it” Y\N glared him with her eyes semi closed “Just saying… ” He said with his arms up in defense
“I have to do something about it..” The girl whispered more to herself, but Falcon got it
“Maybe the first step is not moving at all” Sam tapped her in the shoulder and moved towards the center of the gym
“What th- outch!” As she turned to her friend, Y\N bumped in something and fell..or o she thought. She closed her eyes for the fall but it never came. Instead she felt a pair of arms, one around her waist and other on her shoulder.
“You should take more care darling” Loki suggested suppressing a smile “but then again it isn’t in your nature, is it?!” He finally smiled weakly and Y\N couldn’t help but smile too. Quickly realizing that she was still in his arms in a rather poetic situation, she turned back on her feet feeling her cheeks burn.
“I-I.. I don’t have care at all. I mean, not that I don’t care, it’s just I’m not careful enough. Like you just said. And now I’m just being repetitive.. And  rambling.. I-I should go now- So bye”
The girl turned around face palming herself while whispering a “way to go Y\N” to herself, but listened by the god.
---------
Loki sat by the windows with one of his many books in hands, trying to look distant while secretly watching Y\N. She was playing with some flowers in the small garden she built, against Tony’s will.
“I want to make something really clear..” Sam started calling the attention  of the Norse god “ I’m just doing this because she can even talk to you for god’s sake” The man furrowed his brows for a second, but turned his focus to the conversation again
“You should talk to Y\N” The avenger breathed out “ I know this situation of yours its really complicated but I swear if keep hearing about those erotic dreams of hers every time we train or go to a mission, I’m gonna have to switch my partner. Which is something that wouldn’t be really in my interest since I really think she’s a good one.”
“She has erotic dreams about me?” Loki asked fighting a smirk that insisted to be painted in his lips
“That’s not really the point here man” Wilson said annoyed to which Loki just muttered a small ‘sorry’
“I understand your concern, but I don’t intend to press her into doing something she is still not ready to-” Loki started, but Sam raised his palm
“Believe me man, you should talk to her. Not saying you should ask her in marriage, but put the cards on the table. She deserves that …Just- Just talk to her and try not to mess it up or hurt her. Because then you’ll have the whole tower to go against, not to count her.”
“I wouldn’t dream of it.. not again” Loki whispered lowly the last part but it wasn’t unnoticed by Sam. Even though, he decided to ignore.
The god turned again to observe his long lost lover, and found her gathering her books and some small flowers while the rain started to slowly fall. A smile came to his lips while he planned to finally end the situation between them.
---------
Y\N watched Wanda, while the sokovian cooked and moved around in the kitchen with a confused Vision trying to help her. The couple laughed when Vision messed something again. Y\N couldn’t help but remember a similar scene between her past self and Loki. Was right to refer Sigyn herself? She did not know. What she did know was that the goddess was a part to her and the more she trained her powers, more the memories showed themselves in her dreams, like vivid scenes.
“You should talk to him about all that. Maybe, it can even improve your training” Wanda’s voice startled her
“And you should really stop stalking people’s minds.” Y\N collected her long forgotten book on the table
“You know, he asked for you when he came back today” Wanda said returning to her cooking “ He was really hurt.. Almost unconscious..” Y\N could almost see the smile on her friend’s lips while she was turned, but that seemed unimportant considering the news that came from her
“He- He was hurt?” Wanda just nodded, turning herself to Y\N “You know, he’s a god and Thor said he’ll be fine but- Y\N?  Y\N!”  The girl turned in direction to the nursery but they informed that he insisted to be in his room.
“Loki..” She whispered touching the door with the tips of her fingers, as if it could burn her. At the slightest touch the door opened, while the AI’s voice said something about ‘authorized entering’
“You came..”  His voice was weak and she located him in the dark sat at his window
“Were you expecting me? … I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to sound rude. It’s just Wanda said you were hurt and I got worried. But then again Thor said you were already fine, and the mission was nothing but that it did surprised you guys and Nat said- And I’m rambling again, am I? Sorry.. ” The girl lowered her gaze to her nervous hands in her sweater
“The Birdman was right, you should really try to breath between words love” Loki chuckled while Y\N turned tons of red
“ You- You heard that?” He just nodded with one his eyebrows raised “I mean, but you just heard that right? I mean.. Not that was something import in that conversation .. It’s just cause.. You know that wasn’t. But just .. Uhm did you – did you hear something else?” Loki got up from the chair and moved towards her at the door.
“Why don’t you come in darling? I think its past time we talked about what is happening between us..”
“I-uhm I think I’m fine here” He chuckled and stopped closely to her “ Or maybe not.. I should get in.. Okay.. Thanks” He closed the door behind her, and she closed her eyes from the proximity.
”It was always so strange for me the effect I had over you. You, the one who always left me so powerless” His voice was low and Y\N found herself trapped between his body and the closed door.
“Loki..” Y\N let out a gasp when she felt his breath against her neck. “We – We should… talk..” The god hummed, but kept his body close to hers. One of his hands glued to the closed door behind her, while the other caressed her arm up and down.
“Are you sure you can do that love?” The god mocked her, holding back a smile
“Not really,..” She half moaned when his hand moved to her hips pulling her closer “ But we should ..” For a brief moment, her eyes focused on his, and he backed down
“You’re right hum.. I am so sorry” Loki had his face frowned and looked away. She felt the urge to end the distance he established between them, but stopping mid step.
“Don’t be.. It felt like.. home.” The avenger smiled at her words and Loki turned his gaze to her, smiling too. “Sorry.., that’s weird.. I’m weird” Y\N shook her head moving her hands in her messed up sweater
“You are perfect, my love” Loki whispered lowly but still her head turned to him with a smile on her lips
“Did you love me- I mean her. Did you really love- Sigyn?”
“You are her, my darling. There is no you or her to be honest. You see, our bond was so strong that not even the gods or death itself could break. You found your way back to me... And I don’t intend to lose you again”
Slowly he closed the distance between them and held a piece of her hair, placing it behind her ear.
“I can’t promise you a life you deserve.. Gods, I don’t even know if you want me to promise you that, but I can promise you my entire devotion and eternal love, my darling.” Her eyes kept close as he caressed her face slowly, as she was to break.
“In my dreams.. Or memories, I don’t know. I just know that she loved you. Very much.” Loki smiled weakly, holding her chin and focusing her eyes on his.“ I’m sorry you had to go through all that. I’m also sorry you lost the woman you loved, and got me..” Y\N carried sadness in her voice and Loki frowned
“But my-“
“I’m not her Loki. I saw her… She looked perfect. She was perfect. And I’m.. Well, I’m not. I’m just part of her, and even though, I’m just learning.” Y\N exhaled letting a tear roll by her face.
“You think I loved you for the exterior beauty?” The god let out a small humorless laugh “ I love your soul and the way you make me feel alive. I love your energy and the way you care about others. And especially, I love the way you loved me”
“I love you” Y\N whispered lowly, fixating her eyes on his, while a smile broke in his lips
“I will always love you, my darling,” His hands held her face and she closed her eyes “my queen, my soul”
“Let’s make no promises this time, okay? Just.. Just try not let me go”
“I could never, love”
In that Y\N closed the small distance between them and kissed her lover. The kiss was the sweetest and her hands played with his hair, while his soft lips deepened the kiss by pulling her impossibly closer. When she shyly bit his lip, the god groaned, and his grip on her tightened. He inserted his tong in her mouth, dominating the kiss and making her moan.
---------
When the girl woke up she felt sore. All her muscles hurt, even though she felt at peace. It was as her whole body whispered that no harm could come even if hurt to move. And before she could move or open her eyes, his voice filled her ears.
“.. And here I am, scared to blink and wake from the dream that I live since you came back to me”
“You’re not getting rid of me that easily Mr..” Y\N responded with her eyes still closed. She could hear his chuckle and feel the way his chest vibrated through her back.
“I do hope so my darling. I cannot live without you..”
“I love you Loki” She turned burying her face in his chest while hugging his sides. The god smiled at the sweet affection and held her close.
“BROTHER IS EVERYTHING OK WITH YOU? YOU DID NOT COME TO THE TRAINING AND –“ Thor’s voice came loud from the door and before the god of mischief could reply his lover did
“THOR, YOUR BROTHER WILL NOT BE AVALIBALE TODAY”
“Lady Y\N?” The god of thunder lowered his voice but the shock in his tone made Loki smile. He dropped his gaze only to find his Y\N with her eyes closed.
“Yep, and now you better let us go back to sleep, believe me you don’t want to mess with a sleep deprived me Thor.”
“Well, in that case I’m sorry to bother Lady Y\N ,but dare I say, I am really happy for you both”
“Yeah, yeah, bye Thor” His brother’s goodbye was long forgotten when Loki felt his beloved snuggle herself closer to him
“Training.. Pft.. Like I’d let you get away from here..”  Loki bit his laugh and only chuckled kissing the top of her head. Feeling Y\N drift off into sleep he left himself fall in the deep, peaceful sensation knowing that now everything was complete again..
