Finally made some proper character models for Bramble and Skele!

Imo, If AMAB folks can be women, then AFAB folks can definitely be trans women too. My birth assignment and my current sex being in conflict is the source of a lot of structural issues, compounded by my status as an immigrant, that wouldn't affect someone whose legal designation and sex aligned.

It's really that simple, but I've realized this website has a tendency to only consider social systems and regimes in terms of interactions with others, when that's really the most superficial aspect of oppression.

i think something people need to understand is that lit theory is very much a type of lens one uses to look at a text - no one's standing over you with a hammer making you do ecocritical readings in your own work but it's valuable to know what's out there in case one day you do want to - or if you need to understand other scholarship that does use that particular analytical lens.

and as a second point, I know your prof was a meanie and made you read Freud who no one in the (applied) psychology world believes in anymore, but sometimes it's nice to know where say the domain of literary psychoanalysis came from and its uses, limits, and evolution over the years. Everything came from something and it's often kind of important to know the genealogy you're building on so that you can understand how to apply it. It enables you to then understand what people are saying when they do disagree with principles of various movements.

Sometimes you just have to learn about things that aren't interesting to you in order to get to things that are. Or even just to have the fucking tools as an option.
