You sat down in your cabin, staring at the scrap book on your desk. You hadn't gone to work in ages now, your brother Alex was growing concerned. He knew something had happened but when he went to ask Luke, all that the other man returned was silence.

You didn't understand why it hurt you so much, not the choking but the words that he said to you.

Maybe it was the fact that when you were vulnerable, you told him the one thing you never wanted to remember.

You told him about your mom, how she died. How in her death bed she wanted everyone with her.

Everyone but you.

Your aunt told you it was because your mom didn't want you to see her at her weakest. That if you entered the room, it would become too real and no one wanted to stress out the dying woman.

But deep down you knew why.

You knew that deep down, she hated the monster you were.

No one wanted anything to do with your father, especially his ex wife, your mother.

Your father did love your mother, and she loved, for a while, she hated you because she believed that you were the reason he had left, but the moment you burned your favorite sweets, he appeared in your room, and he showed you what parental love was.

Luke hated that, he hated how easily it was for your father to reply to your cries, but when your mother found out, it infuriated her.

So when your mother heard about camp half-blood, she sent you away instantly.

That was were you met Luke. He was the one who greeted you to camp, who helped you get the hang of everything. That was when you fell for him.

He didn't remember these interactions and you couldn't blame him, he had yo take care of thousands of children, you were one of those who were a bother to him.

You heard a knock on the door, looking up to find Luke waiting for you. Your breathe hitched as he entered, he sat down, a comfortable distance between the two of you. He pushed a plate towards you, a smile on his face.

"I didn't see you at breakfast, since uhm." Luke mumbled as you took a bite from the mac and cheese. "How's the bruises?"

"They're healed. So I guess I'm fine." You muttered as Luke sighed, he sat up slowly, moving towards you before sitting down beside you.

You turned around to face him, it was Luke. Your Luke. He placed his hand onto your thigh, giving you a sympathetic expression before he sighed.

"I'm. I'm really sorry, about what happened." He stuttered out. You could see by the way his eyes were pleading that he truly was filled with remorse and guilt. The bright Luke castellan had changed, and you didn't understand why. "I. I didn't mean anything I said. I was just stressed and irritated and I took it out on you."

"I know." You hummed as you continued to eat your food, looking at the ground, a few tears leaving your eyes as he tusked, wiping them away.

"Don't cry mender, please. I. I really am sorry. Will you ever forgive me?" Luke pleaded, his eyes begging for forgiveness.

You wanted to forgive him, really you did, but you know that your father would never let you live that down.

Everyone at camp all wanted one thing, approval, and you had it so you couldn't mess up your chances at having a loving father for some boy.

But he wasn't any boy. He was yours. He was Luke, the man you thought you'd be with forever.

Maybe you were naive, maybe you just didn't understand what lobe actually was, but the way Luke held you, the way he always seemed to care about you, that was all you needed for now.

"I." You let out a breath as you turned to face him. You could see how Luke was waiting for your response. How he almost seemed. Anxious. "I forgive you Luke."

Your hand hesitantly found his, your rough hand intertwining his softer one. You would be lying if you said it didn't make you insecure, but Luke changed that, he changed so many things for you.

Maybe he did love you. That's what you thought, that's what you wish was the case, but he just needed you by his side during the war, he needed the most powerful woman he knew to win.

You sat down, waiting at the docks for Luke. Little did you know, he was watching, waiting.

Kronos needed a blacksmith, and obviously, your name was the first he thought of.

To Kronos, you were Hephsaestus' most skilled daughter, to him, you were the love of his life. He was given a second chance, and his plans ruined him.

He knew he had to change you, you loved your father, he was one of the few he tried, but Luke knew he only tried because you were the one blessed with powers.

No one knew your strength, only you did. Luke would be lying if he said he wasn't curious. So, here started his plan.

He watched as Chris walked towards you, sitting next to you. He watched as your face shifted to disappointment as he told you how Luke couldn't make it.

"You know we've never really talked." Chris stated as you nodded, looking around. "So tell me about yourself."

"I don't know I guess. I've always been used to be what my father wanted I never like. Thought about it." You answered. You knew there was no point in lying, Chris was Luke's best friend and God be damned, you were tired of lying.

"That's harsh." Chris sighed as you chuckled. "Luke's sick by the way. He wanted me to give you this."

Chris took out a charm bracelet, one clearly bought from out of camp half-blood. You smiled as you put it on, staring at the charm bracelet.

Luke smirked from afar, the tracker was now planted. Curtesy of Kronos who gave him the spell after all. He felt dirty, feeding of you but he had to do it, it was his destiny, he was made for this.

He watched as Chris walked away and you turned to the ocean, the waves louder and harsher than usual.

You couldn't help but feel like it was a sort of warning from posiden, especially since you always loved the ocean, you often spared your chunks of food to posiden to let you be free.

You always wanted to live by the ocean, hell, you wouldn't complain if you lived on a boat, especially a yacht. You wanted to ignore the feeling, but it grew more and more everyone you looked away.

Maybe you should check up on Luke.

Summary: quinn brings his friend to the lake house and jack takes intrest on her.

You were scared but also excited to go to the hughes lake house. You knew that the guys who were at the lake house were childish. That made you feel better. Now you and quinn were in the car driving to the house. Your leg was bouncing up and down when all the thought ran through your mind. ”Y/n chill out, everything is gonna be fine.” Quinn says when he notices your anxiety. You just nod and start to watch some show.

When your car finally arrives to the house. Quinn and you take your bags and walk towards the front door. When you get inside it’s quiet. ”Everyone is prob on the backyard.” Quinn says and continues to carry his bags upstairs. You two drop your bags and unpack before heading back down. ”Let’s go outside.” Quinn says. ”I’m gonna grab water do you want?” You ask him. He nods and you go grab water from the fridge.

Quinn opens the sliding door for you to walk outside. The first thing you see is group of boys playing soccer on the land. ”Quinn and quinns friend is here!” Someone of the yells. ”Sup guys! This is y/n” Quinn answers. They all say hi to you. ”Y/n this is jack, trevor, cole, alex, matt, luke, josh and moyni.” Quinn says and points at everyone. You nod at him.

Quinn joins the soccer game and you sit down to the outdoor couch and scroll on your phone. ”Hey Quinn, i’m tired so i’m gonna take a quick nap.” You say and get up. You head upstairs and throw yourself to the bed. Sleep takes over you and you drift off in a minute.

”Y/nnn.” You hear quinn whisper. You open your eyes and look at him. ”Yeah?” You ask him and rub your eyes. ”We made food so come to eat.” He says and grabs your arm to pull you with him.

You sit down next to quinn and alex is on the other side of you. ”So y/n what do you do for living?” Cole asks. ”Umm well, i’m working as media worker for the canucks but this was my first season there. I played volleyball in texas for the Athletes Unlimited before going to vancouver.” You answer. ”Why did you move to vancouver and stopped playing?” Trevor asks. ”I tore my acl, and i moved to vancouver cause my ex boyfriend lived there.” They all look at you with sad expression when you mention your injury.

”Where are you from?” Moyni asks. ”Minnesota” you answer. They all nod and then switch the subject. The dinner goes past nicely with small converstation. Everyone was included in the converstation, but jack, he said couple things but he was diffrent than you thought. He was quiet. 

“Lets go outside to start the fire, someone grab drinks.” Trevor says. “I can take the drinks.” you say and head to the kitchen fridge. You count enough cans but realise that you cannot carry them all at once. “I can help.” you hear jacks voice say from the doorway. “Thanks that would be needed.” you say and grab a pile of cans.

You two walk outside and hand out the beers for anyone. There are two chairs left next to each other so you sit down on the other what is next to Quinn. jack sits on the other one. Everyone starts drinking and chatting together. More drinks are being handed. You finally start to feel like you are getting closer to them. The music is playing and your fav song come up. You start singing it quietly but hear someone else also sing it. You look next to you and see jack singing it. He smiles at you and sends wink to you. This causes your cheeks to flush. You quickly hide your face to the can and take a sip. When you take a look back at jack you can see him smirking.

“I’m gonna head to bed, are you coming?” Quinn says and looks at you. “In a bit” You answer him. He nods and goes inside. Some of the other boys follow him. Now there is only Jack, alex and trevor besides of you outside. “I’m gonna sit on the dock for a moment and watch the sky so goodnight if you guys go to bed.” you say and get up. “Goodnight.” They all say together. 

You sit down to the dock and watch out to the lake. It looks so peaceful, even your tipsy mind understand it. ”You should go inside so you wont come cold.” You hear jacks voice from further away. You turn around to look at him. ”I’m fine, don’t worry.” You say and turn back to the lake. He stays quiet. You look back and see that he is gone. Suddenly a warm blanket is thrown over your shoulders. It was jack again. He sits down next to you. ”Thanks.” You mumble. ”So you are quinns friend? Only a friend?” He asks. You nod at him. ”He is a really close friend of mine. And it’s a good thing ofc.” You say. He nods.

”So you told us about your ex, what happend?” He asks. ”when i moved to vancouver with him, we lived together for a month until i caught him cheating.” You say. ”Oh i’m sorry for you. You didn’t deserve it.” He says and looks at you softly. You just nod at him. He notices how sleepy your eyes look like. ”You should go to bed.” He says. ”I can sleep here im too lazy to walk up there.” You mumble. He chuckles before scooping up to his arms. ”What are you doing?” You ask him. ”I’m carrying you to sleep cause you are too lazy.” He says and continues his way to your bedroom.

He sets you to the bed next to quinn. ”Goodnight to you y/n.” He says and brushes some hair out of you face. ”Goodnight jacky.” You mumble and cuddle your cover.

When jack leaves the room he has a weird feeling in his chest. He decides to ingore it and get to sleep.

Next morning you wake up next to quinn. You remember things from last night, but some parts were empty. You get up and walk to the kitchen to grab water. You sit down to the counter chair and start to scroll on tik tok. ”Boo!” Is yelled into your ear as someone grabs your shoulders. ”Holy fucking shit you scared me.” You say and look at trevor who is laughing his ass of. Also alex and cole entered the kitchen. ”Well good morning to you too zegras. This feels like you didn’t meet me the first time yesterday.” You say. He just laughs. Everyone else also enters the kitchen, they prob woke up to trevor yelling.

”So what is todays plan?!” Jack shouts. ”The plan is you to not to speak so loud.” Quinn says at him. Jack just sends him a look. ”Beach volley?” Cole suggests. Everyone agrees with it. Soon you all are walking oit of the front door. You guys drive to the beach and set your bags to the sand. ”So what are the teams?” Alex asks. ”I take y/n!” Jack yells. Everyone looks at him confused. ”She used to play volleyball that’s why.” Jack says. The other make two people team and you and jack start against quinn and luke. On the other net there is cole and alex against trevor and moyni. Josh and matt are waiting for their turn.

The day goes on. You and jack win all of your games. ”We are the champions!” Jack yells and brings you for a hug. ”Hahaa you guys are losers.” You say and show L to everyone else. ”Y/n that’s rudee.” Trevor groans. ”Sorry not sorry.” You say and high five jack. Everyone sets their towels to the sand and the boys run to the water. ”So you and jack seem to get well along?” Quinn asks as he sits down next to you. ”What to you mean?” You ask. ”Well the beach vball games and then the fact that he carried you to bed last night.” Quinn says and gives you a look. “Oh i forgot about last night.” You say and rub your face. “Mhm, i’m fine with it as long as he doesn’t hurt you.” Quinn says and throws his arm over your shoulders. “Dude i met him yesterday.” You point out. He just shurgs his shoulders. 

“I’m hungry.” Moyni says when he comes from the water. “Me too.” Alex groans. “Lets go eat then.” You say and start packing your stuff. “Can we eat McDonalds?” Jack pleads. Everyone agrees so we drive there and order. “I’m gonna find us a table.” You say and walk away from the line. You find enough long table were everyone can fit.

 You sit down and some random guy sits next to you. “The full table is taken.” You say. “I can sit here for a moment” The creepy guy says. “Nah no need to.” You say and pull your chair further away. “Oh why don’t you pretty girl wanna talk with me.” He says and tucks a piece of hair behind your ear. You slap his hand away and her grabs your wrist. “Let the fuck go off her!” You hear jack yell and run towards you. He pushes the guy of the chair and sends him the death stare. “Leave, now!” Jack demainds. The creep runs of and jack turns to look at you. “Are you okay?” He asks and sits down  to the chair. You look down to your wrist. He gently grabs it and you see fire forming into his eyes. “There is gonna be a bruise on it.” He says. You nod. “I’m gonna ask for ice.” He says and leaves the table. You look around and see that all the other boys have came to the table, they look at you with soft expression.

“Here i got the ice.” Jack says and holds it to your wrist carefully. The food come and you all start eating, jack still basicly holding your hand. “So good.” You groan. Everyone laughs at you. “I’m ready to go home and sleep for 12 hours.” you say and get up from the table. You take out the ice from jacks hand and throw the melted ice bag to trash. 

Once you arrive the lake house everyone trails their way to their rooms. You instead head to the kitchen to grab water. Jack also stays at downstairs and follows you to kitchen. “Does it hurt anymore, your wrist i mean.” he asks softly. “Not so much.” you answer and sit down to the counter chair. “He should have not touched you liked that.” He murmurs. “Jack, everything is okay now, you saved me, thank you.” You say and open your arms to offer him a hug. He immediately comes to hug you. He tucks your head under his chin. ‘Did he just smell my hair, shit it must smell so sweaty’ you thought. “You smell good.” He mumbles. This causes you to blush. You pull away and look at him. He looks at your eyes then his eyes trail down to your lips. “Can i kiss you?” He asks. You nod and he immediately presses his lips to yours. 

“wow” You breath out once you pull away. “Yeah right, i could get used to that.” He smiles, ‘oh his smile’ you think and it causes you to smile back. “me too.” You whisper.

It was a Thursday, I woke up and straight into the shower. As soon I was done, I went downstairs to see Alex and Luke. I told them that I had news. 

They asked what it was. I told them, "I found an apartment. It's not far from here.". They didn't want me to move after what I told them. 

Alex said, "It's not that we don't want you to leave, it's just that we want you to be safe.". I told them, "When I left him, I didn't have a plan. I just left.". 

Luke told me that it was because I had no choice and if I stayed, it could've gotten worse. 

I thought I had to stay and have supervision. Felt like I was a kid again. Me, Alex, Haley drove to the gym. When we got there, Haley had to watch us work out, but she did the easy workouts, a bit. 

Alex and Haley were wondering if anything is going on between me and Luke. I told them we were just friends and it was the best. They thought I was lying.

I said to them as I walked in the ring, "Maybe I still like him. I don't know?". They were excited. 

My trainer said, "There you go. Just keep that tight.". Haley said, "Nice. You are on fire with that sassy new haircut.". I questioned her when she said sassy. He wanted me to work on that two-three-two combo. 

Alex said, "We want you to be ready with that devastating hook is you ever see Brian again.". I got shocked. I told them that's not why I'm doing this. Alex said, "You don't want to kick your abusive ex's ass someday?".  

I said no. Haley said, "I would. I would show him that you mess with Isabella, you mess with me. If anything everyone can be the living shit out of him.". I said that I'm not doing anything for him anymore and it's the next chapter in Isabella's fresh start. 

I said, "Come on, haircut, apartment, employee of the month. I don't know if you heard.". Haley said that she bragged about it a thousand times.  The trainer said to Alex to join in.

Alex said, "How's Luke?". I said that me and Luke are just friends. Haley said, "Except, you want to date him. Again.". I said that I never told them that. 

They said they didn't need to and Alex said my fists are saying it the second we mention his name. Haley asked, "If you're doing so well, you're-you're "thriving." 

Why can't you just date the guy?". Luke said to Brian, "I don't know. We know each other a lot. We've been together a lot. We've been in each other's life a lot.". 

Brian says, "You don't think she's seeing anybody else, do you?". Luke said, "No. I'm telling you, her ex really did a number on her. I'm not saying he ruined her for anybody else, but...". Brian says to ask her out when she's ready or giving hints. Luke says he's bad at hints. That's why he's on his fifth phone.

Three Hours Later

I had Luke meet me at Hollywood Boulevard to talk. Luke asked once he arrived, "Hey! What did you want to talk about?". I told him, "You.". I gave him papers. Divorce papers. 

Luke said it's a really big step, that he's gonna know where I am. I told him, "I know it's a risk. But the only way I'm ever gonna feel free of him is to be free of him.". 

Luke said that he's here for me. I asked, "Well, you told me days ago that your calendar was wide open, when I was ready." Luke said to name the time and date. I told him on Friday at 7:00 p.m. 

He said he was busy, but was joking apparently. I told him I'll see him soon. I kissed him on the cheek. I left in my car. When I left, Haley, Alex, Gloria, and Cam came out clapping and whistling. Embarrassing for him am I right. 

A few minutes later, Luke called Brian, "Hey. Uh, sorry, I got to cancel our thing on Friday.". Brian asked if he has work, but it was because she asked him out. Luke said drinks on him next time and that Brian will see each other real soon.

It was Friday night, I was getting ready, more likely preparing. My phone rang. It was a friend of mine, "Michelle? Hey. Uh, how did it go? Did you guys give Brian the divorce papers?". 

She said no. Michelle said, "Isabella, we can't find him.". I got confused. I questioned her.

She said that they talked to his neighbors and nobody seen him for months. I asked about his work. 

Luke drove up to the house, he walked to the door with flowers and chocolates. He had a smile while he walked.

Michelle said, "He was asked to take some personal time, after he paid your old agent a visit. He was convinced she knew where you were. It got physical.".

"Allie? Oh, my God. How bad?", I asked worrying. She said she's okay and that security made him ran away and nobody's seen him since.  

When Luke almost came to the door, he got stabbed in the stomach. And thrown to the floor in the middle of the pathway.

Michelle said she has investigators looking for him and warned me to be careful. I thanked her. I told Luke, or I thought so, "You are not gonna believe this.". A man appeared, "Hey, babe.". I said, "Brian?". He punched me which knocked me out.

BIRTHDAY WEEK PROMPTS

"Keep me company for a bit?" Reggie x Julie

(So this one got a little longer, also available on AO3)

“Reginald.” The shrill cry from his mother made Reggie cringe nearly as much as the use of his name. 

There were very few people-and even fewer situations-he was ok using his full name. Out of the mouth of his apathetic yet overbearing mother, in the middle of this excuse to find him a ‘suitable partner’ were definitely nowhere on that list. 

Cause that’s exactly what he wanted for his birthday. For her to use it as an excuse to throw him a party that doubled as a matchmaking tool. Of course she couldn’t detect or outright ignored his sarcasm when he’d told her that. 

His only saving grace so far was that he’d managed to talk her into a costume party. Sure she interpreted that to mean fancy masquerade ball, or black tie with masks. But he was still able to use that to his favor. 

He’d worked it out with the guys to wear similar enough suits and had been swapping masks with them at random all night. Well, with Bobby, Luke, and Willie, since Alex was too tall. Although he made a great lookout and distraction as needed. 

Thankfully, it didn’t take much convincing to get his friends to understand why he needed them to do this. Especially after he explained he’d probably be forced to dance and socialize only with guests vetted and approved by his parents. What was the likelihood he’d get along with any of them?

Plus with how his mother was, all it would take was some general politeness on his part and next thing he knew he’d be swamped with more arranged dates. Which is exactly how he’d ended up with his last two ‘exes’. 

The plan had been working beautifully so far if he does say so himself. He managed to have a lovely evening with his friends so far. However-

“I think your mom’s finally caught on.” Bobby mumbled glaring over Reggie’s shoulder where his mother’s voice had come from. 

He cursed under his breath as he glanced behind him. Sure enough she was heading straight for him, another elegantly dressed woman trailing behind her. “Damn it.” He gritted through his teeth, “I think it’s time for plan b.”

“Do we have a plan b?” Bobby chuckled as the two of them wove through partygoers, purposefully sticking to the more crowded areas. 

“Nope. But I’m sure I’ll think of something.” Reggie eyed some of the other guests as he and Bobby continued to move through the throng. 

He managed to find another random guest similar to his build and after some convincing-and a bit of a bribe-swapped masks and suit jackets with him. Bobby rolled his eyes as Reggie donned the red jacket, certainly judging him. 

True black or blue would be easier to blend in with, but he’d been wearing black all night.  And hopefully the color change would throw his mom off. 

“Reginald?” His mother’s voice was way too close for comfort. All it took was a quick exchange of glances with Bobby for his friend to break off to go distract her. 

Reggie groaned as the music changed to a slower song and the crowds around him thinned. Or rather the crowds trickled to the dance floor. This wouldn’t help him hide and sticking to the crowds and dancing with himself might make him stand out a bit too much. 

“Excuse me?” A gentle dulcet voice drew Reggie’s attention away from the crowd. His breath caught at the angelic vision who stood before him. Probably a silly thing to think since half her face was concealed by her gold and lavender butterfly mask. 

However, her warm honey eyes shined and her broad gapped toothed smile was so open and earnest in a way he hadn’t seen on any of the rest of the guests tonight. Her dark curls were pulled back so they cascaded like a waterfall over the back of her neck and shoulders. Drawing his eyes to her golden choker, a series of crescent moon shapes surrounding her neck.

“Do you want to dance?” Her question drew his eyes back to hers. The gleam in her eye faltered when he hesitated to answer. 

Well, he had just been thinking it’d be easier to hide from his mother on the dance floor. With a crooked smile, he held out his hand toward her. “I’d love to.” 

Her warm hand slid into his and she quickly dragged him onto the dance floor. Which threw him off a little. He’d been dragged to enough of these in his life and couldn’t recall a time any of the ladies acted like this. Too caught up in their-and their families-image and the decorum they’d been hounded with. 

“So,” he drawled as he gently placed one hand on her waist. “You look lovely this evening.”

“Thanks,” she preened slightly as she glanced down at her lavender gown. She soon returned to smiling broadly at him, giving him a not so subtle once over. “You don’t look so bad yourself.”

Before he could think of anything else to say she quickly glanced around them. Then in a harsh conspiratorial whisper, “you and your friends might want to be a little more careful if you don’t want to get caught and thrown out.”

He furrowed his brows in confusion, which caused her to scoff in disbelief.

“You guys are party crashing, right?” She continued to whisper as she leaned in closer to him. He firmly shoved to the back of his mind that she smelled of lavender and vanilla. 

“What? Why would you think-?” 

“Please, you guys have been sneaking around all night. Switching masks.” She spoke through some melodious giggling which made his heart needlessly flutter. “Plus, I just saw you pay that other guy for his mask and jacket.”

“Right.” He held out the vowel, when presented like that he could understand why they would seem suspicious. “If you think we’re crashing why didn’t you just call securi-”

He cut off his question as he caught the way she shifted nervously at his question. With a smirk he realized, “you’re party crashing? Really.”

She quickly shushed him as she looked worriedly around the two of them. He laughed more openly now because of her earlier assumption. Which earned him a short lived glare from her, before she too was laughing with him. 

Reggie was very tempted to let her know that she was actually talking to the guy whose party she was crashing. But then again, some true anonymity could be fun in its own way. 

“Sorry,” he exhaled through some of his dying laughter. “Didn’t expect that.”

“Yeah, it’s more my friends’ thing” she grimaced, he had to wonder how she interpreted what he’d said. “But I’ve always wanted to attend a fancy masquerade so I tagged along with them this time.”

“Oh,” he glanced around them, but no one seemed out of place. “Where are your friends now?”

She groaned with a fond eye roll. “Apparently, they finally realized how head over heels they are for each other, sort of leaving me alone.”

“They just abandoned you? That’s kind of shitty.” 

“Nah,” She brushed off his concerns with a small laugh. “They’ve been dancing around each other since high school. It’s nice to see them finally figure it out.”

“Well I seemed to have lost track of my own friends.” His smile broadened as their eyes met again. “Do you want to keep me company for a bit?”

“I’d love to.” She mirrored his smile, as they continued to dance. 

It was definitely one of the best times he’d had at one of these parties. The two of them spent the evening dancing and talking to each other. Admittedly he was more than happy to let her monopolize the conversation. 

It may have started out as him merely trying to remain anonymous. But it soon shifted to genuine curiosity about her and her life. He couldn't hear enough about it. 

He was fascinated by her family.

Absolutely fond of her brother and his fascination with the supernatural. Mesmerized by her father and how supportive and proud of his children he was. He could relate to the frustrations of how overbearing her Aunt sounded, but even then it seemed to stem from a place of genuine love.

Then there were all the things he learned about her. How she was attending school to try and pursue songwriting, even sharing some of her lyrics with him. He had to admit she had a real talent for it. 

He was eager to hear all about her frustrations at work on top of the school work. Briefly he wondered if he’d ever been to the café she worked for. But that seemed doubtful since he’s pretty sure he hasn’t been to one with the chalkboard doodles she described and claimed to have drawn. 

All too soon, they were being interrupted with a screeched, “Julie.” He had never asked her name, he realized as she looked up at the two women who desperately waved at them. One of which pointed at their phone.

“Oh shoot.” She exclaimed as she shot to her feet, a new wave of worry crossing her face. “We gotta go.”

“Go? Really?” he asked as he followed her-Julie, apparently-through the room towards her friends. 

“Yeah, sorry, we had a pre-scheduled ride to get home.” Julie turned back to him with a bright smile. Then pressed a quick fleeting peck to his cheek. “Thanks for a wonderful time. Maybe we can meet up again sometime?”

“Sure, that sounds great.” He breathed out and watched her run out of the room with her friends. He turned to go look for his own friends. It didn’t take long, they were all staring at him with shit eating grins beneath their masks. 

Reggie mentally braced for the verbal teasing he was sure he was about to endure. How he’d ended up half-smitten over a girl at the very party he swore it wouldn’t happen at. It’d all be worth it if he got to meet up with Julie again and spend more time with her. 

He froze in his tracks. 

How were they supposed to meet up? He only had her first name, and she didn’t even have that much. How did neither of them think to exchange any contact information or even make a solid plan?

With a whispered curse he shot out the room after her, with no luck. He couldn’t find her anywhere. With a groan and no concern over what anybody thought he leaned heavily into the wall before sliding down to the floor.. 

How could he possibly find her now?

We’re Not Stalking, We Were Just Bored

Summary: Luke’s boredom one afternoon leads to him and Jordan following Alex and his ghost beau around the city. 

A/N: Here’s my submission for @jatp-week day 3 - favorite ship. I love Willex with all my heart and this way I was able to write about them without writing from one of their povs, cause I wasn’t feeling that atm! This one-shot takes place in the Sunset Swerve universe featuring my oc Jordan but can be read as a stand-alone! “Jordan!” Luke whined, drawing out her name.

She was once again laid across the couch with a book in hand, trying to quietly pass the afternoon but Luke was having none of it. Of course Alex was out doing who-knows-what and Reggie was in the house so Luke had no one else to bother but her. 

“Jordan!” Luke called again when he didn’t get a response, louder and more insistent this time.

Jordan groaned irritably, lowering her book to glare at the boy sitting in the chair across from her.

“What do you want?” She sighed, hoping to placate him so he’d leave him alone.

“I’m bored.”

“Oh my gosh.” Jordan rolled her eyes. “Then go do something.”

She picked up her book again but in a flash Luke was next to her, pushing her book back down.

“There’s nothing to do here!”

“Then go somewhere else.”

“I can’t go alone! What if I get lost or wind up in a bad part of town!”

“Then you poof out. You’re a ghost,” Jordan rolled her eyes again with a sigh.

When Luke didn’t say anything in response Jordan looked up, puzzled, only to be met with the boy’s puppy dog face. She glared at him for a moment before turning away.

“I hate you so much,” she muttered to herself before turning back and saying louder, “Fine. Let’s go.”

She sat up, swinging her legs off the couch and placing her bookmark in her book. Luke jumped up excitedly, a grin on his face at his victory.

“There’s a record shop in Hollywood I’ve been meaning to visit,” he announced, grabbing her hand and poofing them away.

When they reappeared outside the record shop Jordan slapped his arm.

“A little warning next time!” She scolded, running her fingers through her hair in an attempt to tame it. “I was not ready to go out yet!”

“Who cares? No one can see you!”

“I care!” Jordan protested, “And don’t try and give me that apathetic garbage, you care about your appearance more than anyone else I know.”

Luke rolled his eyes, pulling his beanie off with a huff and pulling it onto the other ghost’s head. “There. Now can you stop freaking out about your hair?”

Jordan huffed but adjusted the hat on her head.

“Thanks,” she grumbled reluctantly and Luke smiled cheekily.

He moved to usher her into the record store only to notice it was no longer there. The windows had been boarded up and a large ‘For Rent’ sign had been hung on the door.

“Well, that’s a bust then,” Jordan frowned. “Damn. I really liked this shop too.”

Like Luke, Jordan had frequented many of the record shops in the area when she was alive. They’d always been one of her first stops whenever she got birthday money or saved up enough allowance. She and Luke had stumbled upon this one together when they were younger, their parents having sent them out to do some errands. She remembered they’d bickered the whole time up until they walked past the storefront. Deciding to go in and look around might’ve been the first and only thing they’d agreed on when they were alive.

“Woah, wait, there’s Alex!” Luke said, pointing down the street where the blond had just turned onto a side street. “We should follow him!”

“You want to spy on Alex?”

“No! I just wanna observe,” Luke protested, “y’know, for science.”

Jordan laughed at the crappy reasoning.

“C’mon, we don’t have anything better to do,” Luke pouted again and Jordan groaned but let herself be pulled along by the ghost boy.

“Is this some weird jealous ex thing?” She asked warily when she saw that Alex was meeting up with Willie.

“What? No,” Luke snapped his head around to stare bewildered at her. “Jesus. No, Moss. That’s so creepy and weird.”

“Right and the two of us spying on them because we’re bored isn’t weird?”

“Okay I see your point but I just wanna know what they do all day!” Luke reasoned. “It’s so boring at the studio, maybe they know of some fun things to do.”

“Why don’t we just ask them then?”

“Because then we’d have to find something else to do!”

“We could just do what they- y’know what? Never mind.” Jordan gave up. “Just, don’t get us caught okay. I actually like Alex and I’d rather he didn’t think I was a weirdo.”

They followed the two around Hollywood for a long time- much longer than Jordan had anticipated Luke’s attention to last. However, Alex and Willie didn’t ever really do anything. They just walked around Hollywood and talked, which would’ve been quite boring to observe if their objective hadn’t changed very early on in their endeavor. Luke and Jordan had instead become Alex and Willie fangirls, cooing over every small gesture of affection shared between the two ghosts.

“Oh my gosh they’re so adorable,” Luke whined, face scrunched up to portray his emotional pain at the sight.

Willie had just offered his board to Alex, placing his helmet onto the blond’s head and strapping him in carefully.

“Look look look,” Jordan whispered yelled excitedly, repeatedly smacking Luke’s chest with the back of her hand.

“Oh my gosh, I know!” Luke squealed, grabbing her hand and clutching it to his chest.

Alex had climbed onto the board but immediately lost his balance, prompting Willie to reach out to steady him, his hands falling on the ghost boy’s waist while Alex’s hands gripped his shoulders for support.

“If I wasn’t already dead their cuteness would kill me.” Luke deadpanned and Jordan laughed.

They followed from afar as Willie guided Alex along the sidewalk, coaxing the boy to let go of his shoulders. Once Alex seemed to have his balance, Willie let go of the blond’s waist.

“I’m doing it!” Alex cheered excitedly and Willie laughed.

However, the success was short-lived as at the first sign of a lifer Alex panicked, immediately losing his balance and flailing his arms around as he toiled from the skateboard. Luke and Jordan gasped but then let out sighs of relief followed by coos as Willie caught the boy before he could hit the ground.

“Call 9-1-1, there’s been a murder,” Jordan muttered jokingly as she watched Willie and Alex.

“What?” Luke asked, turning towards her in confusion and alarm.

“They killed me,” Jordan blinked at him slowly as she spelled it out. “With their cuteness.”

“Oh right,” Luke nodded before gushing, “They are so cute, aren’t they?”

Jordan nodded, watching him quizzically. It was nice to see him so happy about the ghost couple but it was an uncommon relationship between exes.

“You’re really happy for him, huh?” She asked curiously.

Luke nodded, the tone between them growing more serious as they stopped walking. “He’s my best friend, no matter our past I want the best for him.”

“That’s actually very sweet,” Jordan mused, before switching the tone and teasing, “I didn’t know you had it in you, Patterson.”

Luke’s jaw dropped and Jordan giggled at his expression of disbelief.

“Y’know, you’re a piece of work, Moss.” He shook his head but failed to hide his smile.

“C’mon, let’s go or we’ll lose them,” Jordan nudged his shoulder to get them moving before looking down the sidewalk. “Oh shit, where’d they go?”

“You lost them?” Luke gasped and Jordan’s eyes widened as she spun on the boy.

“I lost them? You’re just as responsible for this as I am!” She protested and Luke opened his mouth to make a retort when he was cut off by a voice behind them.

“Looking for us?”

Luke and Jordan swiveled around only to be face-to-face with the two ghosts they had been following.

“Oh shit.” Jordan cursed and Willie laughed.

“Can you stop stalking us now?” Alex pleaded, staring pointedly at Luke.

“We weren’t stalking you-“ Jordan tried to protest though she knew it was no use, they totally were stalking.

“Yeah! We were just bored!” Luke added as if that completely rationalized their actions.

Jordan forced a guilty smile, hoping that maybe her awkwardness would earn her sympathy from Alex.

“That’s not- okay,” Alex rolled his eyes but let it go. “You guys are idiots, go home.”

Jordan breathed a sigh of relief, smiling apologetically at the pair as she grabbed Luke’s arm, pulling him away.

“Yeah, good idea, sorry!” She called over her shoulder.

Luke elbowed her, sending her an eye roll before poofing them both back to the garage.
