In answer to my previous question, yes there is something more exciting than getting your hospital bag ready - getting your changing bag ready! My mum kindly bought my changing bag as a baby shower gift. I chose something neutral from @mothercareuk , so that both Alex and I would feel comfortable carrying it around, and so that it would serve us through any future babies boy or girl. With him being tall is was also important that the shoulder strap could be adjusted to suit both of us. We also picked our car seat from Mothercare. We loved this red and cream seat, and couldn't believe the price. We had originally ordered a more expensive seat online, but when it arrived we weren't happy with the feel of the material - I wasn't going to sit my baby in something that made me flinch when I touched it. I enjoyed folding up all the little outfits to go in the bag, and working out how I wanted to organise my bag (nappies to the left, clothes and cloths on the right). We chose this cute blanket from @marksandspencer that I had bought 2 years before, ready for the day that I would have my own bundle of joy to wrap up in it (not knowing that I would give birth during a mini heat wave 🙈).
