The size: I went for the XLW — the largest size and let me tell you, it's sure is one big boy. It's like working on an A3 sized paper and the tablet takes up a big chunk of your workplace. But hey, that extra space means you can really let loose with your arm swings for some dynamic lines. If that's too much to handle, don't sweat it, opt for the smaller sizes like the MW (A5) and LW (A4).

X-Remote Control: The X-Remote Control might be my favourite feature. With programmable buttons, it's a lifesaver for us shortcut maniacs. No need to reach for the keyboard any longer. The remote also works even without turning on the tablet, which is quite handy.

The Pen Case: This thing is metal, sleek, and just plain cool. Keeps your pen safe when traveling about.

The Pen: Eight extra nibs in two different types? I don't think I'd have to worry about replacements anytime soon. And with the eraser end, one less keyboard shortcut is needed.

Bluetooth: Okay, so I'm usually all about cables for a stable connection. But with my table looking like a cable jungle, Bluetooth has been a lifesaver.

I am pulled from my sleep as I feel something shift. My eyes blearily open to find a blue gaze matching mine anxiously, “Sorry, Angel, did I wake y’up?”

I groan lowly, “No, y’fine. Wha time’s it?”

“…Four.”

My eyes shoot open, “P.m.?!”

Ren calmingly rubs a thumb over my forearm, “No, a.m.”

I settle back down into the sheets, relieved, “Oh… well then go back to sleep, you’re already more behind than usual.”

They immediately protest, “No m’not.”

I give them a look and they avoid my gaze, giving me all the information I needed. I gently question, “You alright?”

He pauses half a second before answering, “Yes.”

I nod, “Mm, what’s wrong?”

He snorts lightly, “’Said m’fine, just watching you.”

I pull him into my chest, laying my head on his, “I know. But you were thinking, not just watching. There’s a difference.”

There’s a long silence before he responds, “…D’you think… if there was a god… d’you think She would ever b’capable of loving a mortal as much as they love Her?... A god has a whole world, an infinite amount of people, places, and things t’love. But all the mortal has is Them. How could such a perfect being ever truly love such an insignificant, imperfect fleck on Their world?”

I consider, well aware of his true meaning and trying to respond in kind, “Well, I wouldn’t know how a god would feel . But from my perspective, I don’t see how a god could not love a mortal. There are so many ways to love, and surely their love for a person, a soul, would be more powerful than any of the others, right? A soul is so special, a type of god in its own right, able to create and destroy, to live and love and experience and share their experience back to the world in a unique way not even a god can.” 

Ren responds, “But there are billions of other souls. Why a specific one? Especially if they’re one that’s flawed, broken beyond repair, a failure of creation? Why not a true god, to be level and equal to Them, powerful enough to fulfill Her every desire?”

I think over his question, “What use is one god to another? If one can fulfil a desire, so can the other, sameness has no meaning. The thrilling part is the new, the learning, the sharing of souls. No creation is a failure, and nothing is truly broken, only changed. Flaws are what make things interesting, unique, and compelling. Even shattered glass can make for beautiful mosaics, or stained-glass windows.”

Ren scoffs, “Unless it’s fractured into pieces too small t’fit into a work of art. Sharp enough t’cut and useless f’anything else.”

I frown, trailing my hand up and down his back comfortingly, “Then it’s frit, and can become swirls of gorgeous color if utilized by an artist willing to see its potential, to handle it with care and love as it should have been from the beginning.”

Another pause, then, “What if it’s a weed instead then? Ugly, unwanted, and choking out other plants for its own selfish desires.”

I shake my head, “Plants and animals do what they have to do to survive. It’s their environment that defines the lengths they must go to, not their form, nor their inherent nature. You can’t blame something for trying to survive. If it is considered ugly and unwanted, then it is in the wrong environment and beheld by the wrong person. A dandelion is considered a weed to adults, but a wonder to children. A flower that is so bright and shining, that becomes a sphere of fluff, whose seeds become dancers in the wind.” I laugh a bit at my own whimsical description.

Ren counters, “It’s invasive, an eyesore, and takes over spaces where it never belonged, using up resources from the ones deserving t’be there.”

I lean back slightly to look them in the eyes, “It sounds like you’re the wrong beholder then. Dandelions are versatile, resilient, and can sustain others through healing and sustenance. Every part of it is valuable in some way or another, if you care enough to look beyond the surface.”

They look back at me with wonder, “Y'so optimistic.”

I grin back at him, “I was a nihilist for a long time, I just happened to finally find meaning in the world.”

He questions, “And what’s that?”

I smile brightly, finding their hand under the covers and intertwining it with my own, “You,” his real name rolls off your tongue so naturally, like it was always meant to be there.

I bring the back of his hand to my lips, trying to convey every bit of emotion I felt for them through my touch and gaze.

They seem frozen for a second, staring at me in shock. Just before he shifts to hide behind his bangs, I see tears fill his eyes as they turn downwards.

I quickly reach out to turn their face back to me, watching anxiously as he furiously tries to blink away his tears, “Hey, listen. I know what you’re thinking right now. I understand the instinct to tear down everything I’ve said, to write it off as me just being careless or misguided. But it’s true, and I need you to believe it.” Tears are now streaming down his face as silent as they are relentless, and knowing how much they hate me seeing them cry, I pull them back into a tight hug.

I continue gently, “I’ve seen you at your worst, yeah? When you were crazy with jealousy and hatred and thought I was going to leave you. But I didn’t. I’m still here, and I’m going to be for a very long time. Not because you made and executed the perfect plan, not because I have no other choice, but because I want to be. Because I’ve seen you as you are, and I fucking love you. And just because that contradicts your view of yourself doesn’t mean it’s wrong. It means you’ve been in the wrong environment for 23 years, and I intend to fix that.”

After a pause I add in a more lighthearted tone, “And if that means I have to beat the shit out of the voice in your head that keeps saying horrible shit to you, that’s what I’m gonna fuckin do.”

Ren cracks a weak smile, “How’re y’gonna do that? They’re a stubborn bitch, and largely immaterial.”

“Like this.” I return my hands to their face and plant a kiss on their forehead. I then move to each of his cheeks. I leave one on his nose and each of his eyelids, and then everywhere in between.

After we are both laughing from my onslaught, I finally pull away, “Better?”

Ren responds with the faintest hint of a smile, “One more couldn’t hurt. Just t’make sure.”

I chuckle, “Alright, one more, but then we have to go back to sleep.”

He pouts at my words, but ultimately gives in when I lean in, and we share a soft kiss.

After, I hold my arms open, allowing them to cuddle in closer, wrapping their arms around me and laying their head on my chest. Our legs naturally intertwine as we sink back into the pillows around us. I absentmindedly trace patterns on the back of his shoulder as we fade back into the obscurity of sleep, together.

just wanted to wish you luck with the emdr! it worked great for me despite being self-administered (not recommended, but nhs waiting lists)

Thank you. I've done EMDR for the Other Horrors in my life, and it works well for me (even if it's harrowing to begin with).

I'm pairing it with somatic movement therapy because part of my trauma/masking response is to completely freeze up internally while pretending to be completely fine outwardly.

(can't show emotion! my emotions are Too Big, and that makes me Annoying for others to be around, so I will simply not experience them. I'm sure this is totally fine and will have no lasting repercussions on my mental and physical health ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ… oh what's this? it's multiple immune disorders coming in with steel chairs!!!)

So, I'm learning to flail around to give my body something to do with all the adrenaline after EMDR sessions. Weirdly, that's almost harder than the actual EMDR.

The king of aftercare. He'll be sure to ask if you're okay. Does it hurt? Did he overdo it? Are you thirsty? Hungry? Run a bath? He just loves you and cares about you. He doesn't want to be the cause of your discomfort.

★ Body part (their favorite body part of theirs and also their partner’s)

I think he had some experience, after which he accordingly drew conclusions and realized: sex with a person with whom there is no special connection is not the thing. So, in your guys first time, he definitely know what he's doing.

Tomorous foreplay with gentle touches and loving, unhurried kisses. Gentle words, compliments that whispers remain on the skin. It's all a necessary part of the process. What is the point of sex, if not to spill out all your love and affection for your partner during it?

★ Jack off (masturbation headcanon)

I think he jerked off in his youth, well... enough. He was a boy, hormones were running wild, and his uncle was always getting on his nerves. It was one way to blow off steam quickly.

He doesn't do it very often now. Why would he when he has you? I don't mean that he uses you at any moment, but then when he feels the need for you, he will very temptingly offer to help you relax after a day at work.

★ Kink (one or more of their kinks)

Praise kink. Both giving and receiving. He'll shower you with compliments, tell you how beautiful you are, how delightful you are, how breathtaking you are, and many other highly literalized words. One round, in extremely rare cases two. But this one round lasts a long time, so at the end you are both satisfied and tired.

Imagine Leopold's concerned face when he found your vibrator (or any other toy, at your discretion). He asked you to explain what it is and what it's for. You, fighting your own embarrassment (or not, again depending on you), explain it to him. And... He's interested in trying it. He wants to see what the toy is like in practice. Her name is Lorraine, she's an innovator and reformer, a science wizard enchanter with an interest in inventing new practical ways of applying magic for everyday use to "serve man". A devoted andrastian with some religious trauma (tm) who thinks the circle institution under the chantry is outdated and needs to be changed.

She's reserved, observant, analytical, can be a bit awkward. Has trust issues, and forming relationships doesn't come easy for her, especially with non-mages. Kind of an "aloof, autistic scientist who can appear rude but is determined to improve the world with their inventions" archetype.

More ramblings under the cut 👇🏻

• Lorraine's fam were extremely pro-templar and raised their kids to be devout to the chantry. Magic was considered a dangerous burden, something to be hidden and kept away from regular people, so Lori has some internalised shame due to being a mage. Though she eventually does come to a realisation that her parents' views were unjust and that she shouldn't feel this way, and that her magic is a gift rather than a disgrace. Still, she does her best to put her magic to good use and invent new ways of aiding people through it, in part as a way to prove herself to the world. She believes mages should be allowed to contribute more to society, have professions and hobbies and more safe spaces to experiment with their gift.

• Before discovering her love for academic study and experiments, Lorraine wanted to be a templar. As the youngest child in her family with close ties to the chantry, she couldn't think of anything more fitting as she didn't want to be a cleric, and the idea of being a knight in shiny armour was compelling for a kid. Her magic manifested when she was 11 years old in the dead of the night when the estate was sound asleep. Waking up from a nightmare, she found herself surrounded by fire. She doesn't have much memory from what happened that night, only that she was dragged away by the templars from her home.

• The fire she caused was devastating to the estate, and Lorraine's parents and siblings didn't survive the night. She knows this, but due to the trauma caused suppressed her memories about what really happened. For many years being stuck in the circle she believed her family were so disappointed with her being a mage that they completely turned away from her, refusing to even write letters. That grew some serious resentment and shame inside of her. Her then mentor, Lydia, decided to spare the child more suffering and encouraged her delusions.

• Lydia was like a mother to Lorraine, and while she didn't have many friends at the circle, she considered her fellow mages to be her new family. She's often distrusting and cautious of non-mages, having a hard time believing that they can be accepting and caring about her - a mage - without having some ulterior motive. During the inquisition she bonds fastest with her mage companions. I also see her being closer to Dagna than any other non-mage companion due to their shared interests and passions.

• Eventually, when Lori received the vigil of trust and was allowed to make trips outside of the circle, Lydia told her the truth about the night when she was taken to the circle and encouraged her to reach out to her more distant relatives. Lorraine didn't see the point, as none of those relatives chose to reach out to her all these years either.

• Unlocking those memories for her was...ugly. There's still some unresolved trauma that she tries to learn how to live with. Naturally, the Nightmare demon in here lies the abyss quest takes full advantage of that because Drama. :3c

• I reckon Lorraine is interested in studying lyrium and finding ways for both mages and non-mages to work with it safely. She's also intrigued by the fade and the veil, so naturally she chooses the new, "experimental" fade rift magic later in the game. Apart from rift magic, she often opts for the frost element and spirit schools. She believes people shouldn't shy away from more sophisticated enchantments and other forms of magical crafts, taking inspiration from Tevinter and how they implement magical solutions to everyday problems.

• She would probably invent a magical fire alarm system enchantments to be installed in people's homes.

• While she's the kind of a person who would rather sit in a lab/study all day without interacting with a single living soul, she at one point got frustrated enough with her ideas being denied by the first enchanter that she decided to get into politics and push for reforms that would allow her to practice magic more freely.

• Speaking of politics, Lorraine spent most of her circle life in the aequitarian camp that generally tries to follow the chantry law. She always abided by the rule that magic should serve man in ethical ways, but also considered the system to be rather old-fashioned and limiting. She wrote drafts of reform programs detailing a secure and steady transition in which the circle would gradually provide more freedoms to mages, eventually letting mages govern themselves with as little chantry supervision as possible. • Anyway, she has some serious personal issues but doesn't like letting it show and stays put. She's very focused on her work, determined and efficient, and is self aware enough to not take herself too seriously, so while she's not talkative and prefers to keep to herself, she doesn't sulk or dwell on her traumas, and tries to be friendly and accommodating to others. Although from her perspective, that equals to just being patient enough not to tell others to go fuck themselves fifteen seconds into the conversation.

Etc etc I think i could go on but I'm yet to complete a full playthrough with her and this is already a lot so maybe I'll yap about Lori more sometime later 🙈

tonight my spouse and I learned about a new creative way to experience Danger on the road!

we learned that when ur driving in a blizzard, oncoming traffic can just randomly kick up a highly-dense splash of salt and snow that can just

cover your entire windshield! ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

in less than a second!

With just one horrifying splat!

One moment my spouse is anxiously but very carefully driving us over Jacques-Cartier, the next moment our windshield suddenly has the same visability as a brick wall.

This is Uncool at baseline, but it’s extra uncool that it happened after 45 minutes of whiteknuckling between Drummondville and MTL. And also it happened dead center in the middle of the bridge which, if you don’t know, isn’t really wide enough for strategic safety maneuvers.

God… where do I even begin?

Here is the second part of me trying to figure out my Persona Venti design for my Persona Crossroads AU, and I might not even use them (≖_≖ ) If you’ve read my first lore dump Tumblr post about the au, you’ll find that I’m currently going through another crisis in regards of who my protagonist’s persona should be, but even if I do end up sticking with Venti, I can’t say if I like these drafts enough to use them as the final design (especially since I made a good chunk of these while utterly burnt-out), but hey! Here they are anyways for your perusal in case you were curious ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

When designing these, I wanted to lean more into Venti’s Archon outfit since I wanted to leave the bard outfit for a third awakening (even tho I’m not a fan of his Archon outfit lol). I added a halo to tie into an alternate form he has for lore and made his twin braids longer with cecilias threaded through them (inspired by @blehbet-arts’ Aeon Venti drawing) for dramatic effect! I would have also added eyes everywhere to but couldn’t figure out if it would make more sense for the extra eyes to be open or closed, and in my indecisiveness, left them out entirely (╥﹏╥)

The first design draft was inspired by a cool Zhongven fanart I saw on Twitter (I can’t remember who the artist is though since I can’t find the artwork anymore though I did use the Venti’s outfit in that drawing as the inspo for this design) where Venti had harpy-like wings instead of arms and I thought it was the coolest thing ever, so I made a design based around it! ( ˶ˆᗜˆ˵ ) Unfortunately, a lack of actual arms meant I wouldn’t have been able to do what I had in mind for the original pose where I envisioned Venti holding his lyre in one arm and the orb from the Mondstadt statues in the other, but then I remembered this one drawing I saw by @gierosaji of Witch Venti from their Madoka AU and got so freaking inspired, so I made the wings lyre (or I guess harp?) wings! ฅ^>⩊<^ ฅ

The second design is based on another fanart I saw (but was unable to find the artist’s name again (っ◞‸◟ ς)). I… found myself really struggling with deviating away from the original fanart because after the first design, I had this weird “confirmation bias” in my brain that really liked the harp wings but felt like I had to experiment with various ideas just to cover all bases. In the end, I ended up utterly burnt out and frustrated with this design and a good chunk of the others, and as cute as this design ended up, I don’t think it screams Venti.  "( – ⌓ – )

Because the burnout has robbed me of whatever originality I may have had, design 3 is basically a copy of a gierosaji’s Boss Venti design. Design 3 was honestly something I had to force myself to make so that I’d have 5 drafts, but on account of lack of originality, this one can’t be considered a candidate for my make-believe design poll. As freaking awesome as the eye of the storm inspo is in gierosaji’s drawing, it definitely wasn’t working in mine since the pose of my Venti muddles the whole silhouette up. Though if I do end up sticking with Venti for Arilette’s persona, I would probably mix this Design 1 and 3 together, somehow…

Once again, I practically had to hold myself at gunpoint to make design 4 which is why, once again, no originality and practically a copy-paste of a Venti drawing made by zen_krt105’s because I wanted to try a more Wind-Wisp-themed avenue and got tired of keep on keepin’ on-ing (っ- ‸ - ς)

Design 5 is when the slight I was starting to feel inspired again (too bad it’s the last draft (╥﹏╥)) Although I took some inspiration from aliciarose’s fanart of Venti in Greek-inspired garb, I tried to incorporate some other ideas such as ornaments that resemble eyes (since throughout all of this, I still haven’t made anything with eyes as a theme) and a veil I think I saw in another fanart that inspired me. Unfortunately, I don’t really like the final result ᵕｰ́_ｰ̀ Not only do the eye ornaments make me squeamish, but the veil just doesn’t look good (¬_¬)

If I do end up sticking with Venti as Arilette’s persona, I think I’ll probably scrap most of these drafts and redo this phase of the design process all over again x-x Some cool design ideas I picked up since I made these were harp horns! ( • ̀ω•́ )✧ An artist on Tumblr by the name of woolmasterleel made a P3 Protag design for their AU with lyre horns and that is def an idea I want to experiment with (,,•o•,,) Another one was this one Zhongven fanart I saw by @noredemptionarc on twitter where Venti had a cute outfit on, feeling inspired ngl •⩊•And yeah, that’s all the notes I can remember, lol

I closed my eyes couple days ago and half-slept under the cloudy weather. It's the first time in years I get brave enough to draw my characters in a scene right after I experience it.. I sleep immediately at night (no complaints, I am indescribably grateful I don't experience insomnia), but I miss the time before I snooze where I dive into my headworld..

I've been doing so many things in-between working split shifts that I've given myself possibly another ibs episode, resulting in taking the day off yesterday. I felt ok by noon so "I'll draw for 2 hrs" became 7 ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ I'll do my best to take it easy for the next few weeks u u ^^^love how I wrote so and as soon as I recover I want to go back to doing a billion things!!

It’s… A slightly odd but strong relationship! ^^;;;

When the two of them were growing up, they were two of the only hybrids around– so they naturally gravitated towards each other. In terms of personality, they’re opposites: Luka is more unemotional and unfeeling, statue-esc, cold. Meanwhile, Ram is very outgoing, he wears his heart on his sleeve, he’s very rash and can be a little intense at times. ( ´ ω ` )

Their dynamic is something like this: they’re on two ends of extremes, and each character has something that the other person wants.

Ram wants to be taken seriously by the world, but everybody only ever sees him as a joke. He’s almost considered to be a “pet” amongst his friends, which is really degrading. Ram tries to ignore it, but sometimes it overwhelms him, and he breaks down over it. Meanwhile, Luka gets respect from his peers, but hardly gets any enjoyment or gratification out of it. Luka partially wishes he could enjoy and experience the world like Ram does.

The two of them manage to understand each other deeply while also having little in common (personality wise.) ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

Throughout the years, they’ve always stuck together, respecting one another no matter what happens. Ram understands that Luka doesn’t feel very ‘attached’ to him in the traditional sense, but he doesn’t harbor any ill feelings about it. He knows that Luka doesn’t actively choose to feel the way that he does. It’s… Just a fact of life. And Luka deeply appreciates it– because he’s aware that most people would look at him differently if they knew how he truly felt about everything.

So, fun fact! If Ram ever finds out that Luka is obsessed with you and actually feels things towards you, Ram will enable Luka to the max, and would help him 'get you' no matter what it takes. He would even help Luka kidnap you.

Ram is extremely loyal to a fault. And Luka is also loyal to Ram– they’ve stuck together through both thick and thin.

((Mr. Ram won’t have a route or anything, but I like to imagine he’s a yandere too, just bcs I think it’s funny. I can’t help but make all my characters yanderes to some extent. !!) ( ´ ▽ ` ).｡ｏ♡

Not an ask, I just wanted to say as someone fairly new to Genshin, I quickly fell in love with Xiao and later, Xiaolumi became a pairing that completely stole my heart. When I started seeking out fanworks for the pair, I came across your Xiaolumi hangout event and then your blog here. I just wanted to say your work is truly such a joy to see! I had so much fun with the Xiaolumi hangout, I can’t imagine how much work it must have taken but it was a delight to experience, and I want to replay it later so as to leave proper commentary on everything I enjoyed! 

Your art is also lovely, “A Glimpse of Bliss” and “His heart will be safe now” are two of my favorite pieces from you! I really have no idea how you aren’t completely flooded with likes and reblogs.
