star trek update time. once again, i've fallen behind, thanks again to hades. sunday* we watched "equilibrium" and "second skin" and last night* we watched "the abandoned" and "civil defense."

im typing this at fuck o clock monday night its scheduled to go up without me tmrw morning

equilibrium:

hi, sorry, the cold opening of them having dinner here......i could have watched a whole episode of this alone. odo learning to cook. kira thinking he's cute (HI???). bashir being precious about beets. sisko best cook ever. it was so good and i was a little wary when jadzia ruined it with a trill mood swing or whatever i was like damn this episode won't make me like dax any better unfortunately

actually though the episode was fine. the hallucinations were decently scary and i liked getting to know jadzia a little better ie about her hatred of doctors

it was also nice that 1. bashir stopped being a freak about her and 2. her hair is less big now. her falling asleep in his quarters (and her wanting the bottom bunk bc of curzon falling out of a tree) was so cute actually. i want to like her!!! i'm trying hard.

i also really liked the mystery in this episode, but if we're talking times a trill has been traumatized by going into a bad host, what about that one guy who stole her in like season 2 or whenever...?

i wish dax had gotten to apologize to kira also :( women should be kissing not fighting

i do LOVE when sisko calls jadzia old man. i think it's so fun. the gender of it all. i also really liked his little line about how he still misses curzon sometimes but would also be devastated if anything happened to jadzia. dax both is and isn't curzon, both is and isn't jadzia...where that divide is and what makes up dax vs what makes up jadzia is really fascinating to me, i wish we explored it more

scene in the pool at the end i was so afraid she was gonna get naked. thank god.

hhhhholy fuck

so, i loved this episode right up until the very last second. firstly, every kira episode is great. she's fantastic and so well-written and such a talented actress, i'm obsessed with her. secondly, we flirted with an amnesia plot for a hot second which was so fun. thirdly, what the FUCK

i love also, hi, that kira unpacked so much of her thoughts about the missing week of her life in odo's office. he's literally her sounding board. is this thing on? they love each other

the sheer raw fucked up factor of kira waking up AS A CARDASSIAN. she looked like she wanted to tear off her own skin and who can blame her. i hardly recognized her

GARAK IS HERE. i really love whatever he's going going on with sisko. "this is extortion" "yes it is" and also "that's the first totally honest thing you've ever said to me" every single conversation they have is like. garak flirts for fun and for sport with everyone in this show (INCLUDING KIRA???) and sisko is constantly meeting him in the middle . also, him putting the fear of god into that ship that tried to board them <3

the mystery of this episode was so intriguing. i was on the edge of my seat waiting for the gang (INCLUDING ODO!!!) to rescue kira. i wanted to figure out the Truth, bc obviously she's not a fucking cardassian. but i do feel they dropped the ball a little at the end

firstly, it seems too convenient that kira happens to look SO much like the real illiana that her OWN FATHER could not tell them apart. yeah, yeah, ten years, but are we serious rn?

SECONDLY, i don't think kira getting teary when given this keepsake (which was already weird) and declaring this cardassian dissident to be a "good man" is very IC. she's only come to that kind of understanding with one cardassian before (guy who pretended to do war crimes), and given the traumatic nature of this whole ordeal, i would have expected her to have mixed feelings/have trouble expressing this aloud, even if she did believe it. so we ended on kind of a weak note there, overall though incredible experience

the abandoned:

first, when i said "give odo a baby" i did not mean it like this.

second, dad sisko. my best friend sisko. sisko holding a baby, sisko missing his own baby, sisko sisko sisko my beloved

uhhh sisko not doing good with his own son because...drummroll please...jake is still dating the dabo girl

i genuinely thought this was a throwaway line but we have a whole fucking PLOT in here

i don't understand sisko at the end of this ep being like "yeah they can keep dating." ik this show is 30 years old but JAKE IS SIXTEEN. THE DABO GIRL IS 20. she seems nice and definitely she shouldn't be judged for being a dabo girl and if this character were like 18 i'd be like, okay, that's two years, she's only technically an adult, but TWENTY? at this age, 4 years is a HUGE gap

also, her tits were pushed so far out i wasn't even sure if they were real or not...HE IS SIXTEEN. like yes he knows what tits are but she is an ADULT??? eugh.

ANYWAY, odo's quarters!!! i like that he finally has a real room and doesn't just live in a bucket at work like presumably the cardassians made him do. kira bringing him a housewarming gift and wanting a peek at what he had going on in there was genuinely so sweet i wanted to kerm. i'm glad we got that since they argued later BUT win for me bc we also ended the episode on them

rip odo's trauma :( lab specimen ptsd meets founders identity crisis for a total fucjing breakdown. he did pretty good considering

civil defense:

10/10 EPISODES THIS ONE WAS AMAZING

lots of really fun sisko moments in this. i love when he gets to save the day and i love when he hangs out with jake. jakes was extremely brave and helpful too he saved their asses a bunch of times. today he got to be one of the grown-ups

GARAK IS HERE! i love how he showed up to help and then everything became immediately worse. every time you'd think "it cannot possibly get worse than this" it does

odo and quark essentially being locked in an elevator together. odo calling him devious (honorific). quark calling odo a guy with integrity (derogatory). i still don't Love quark but he's extremely funny and his scenes with odo are always a riot

STAR OF THIS SHOW GUL DUKAT. he showed up to laugh at their predicament and generally be unhelpful which was pretty funny but also i was a little mad at him and then he threatened kira which made me REALLY mad at him (she was so solid though she didn't budge and inch hell yes girl) and then he. got trapped on the space station also which was FUCKING hilarious. like i had been just mad enough to enjoy seeing him suffer under the reverse uno and find it IMMENSELY satisfying. you thought GARAK was a cringefail loser at getting this space station to work? he has nothing on gul dukat, who managed to not only make it EVEN WORSE but lock himself out of every system on the station. incredible work

absolutely though the best part of this episode BY FAR was when gul dukat was flirting with kira and nobody realized it but garak and he called him out on it 1. humiliating him in front of his crush 2. roasting him (bc anyone could see kira would have better taste) 3. reminding him that he's married 4. propping up kira herself bc garak supports women's rights and bajorans rights and also their wrongs. garak diss track when.

anyway, this episode hit the perfect balance between tense and funny, every single character had something fun to do or say, fucking excellent television

ID LOOOVE TO ANALYZE NTMG MORE !!! main reason i dont do it as often or hold myself back a bit is because admittedly its been a While since i read alot of the stories, a majority of which i have only read once, and when i make actually Proper analyzes i like to have reread the material and see if i maybe misinterpreted something on my first read or am misremembering, bc when given new info other interactions can be read differently and all that. and i also wanna actually do them justice and not accidentally spread misinfo AJHSFKJH AND I UNFORTUNATELY HAVENT HAD THE TIME NOR ENERGY TO DO THIS </3 but even without remembering every single piece of dialogue verbatim i like to think my grasp on them is still somewhat decent, and im very glad u like my interpretations 🥺❤️

it always makes me so incredibly happy when people view the characters similarly to me aswell bc like u mentioned they Are kinda prone to getting mischaracterized in some ways...... i think it mainly comes from both natsume and tsumugi having MANY factors to their characters though, and the mischaracterization comes from only highlighting one aspect of them and failing to think about how their different attributes overlap (although this can probably be said for the entire cast tbh). like an easy example that im sure everyone gets by now is natsumes little tsundereisms. if you only focus on him being rude to tsumugi it can look like hes just some edgy guy with anger management issues, but when you take into account other factors such as him having a rather spoiled upbringing both by his parents and nii-sans, and his distaste towards feeling "weak" (also caused by his upbringing, since he was frail as a child and raised as a girl) you start to see that oh. alot of that is just him being defensive and emotionally immature. since he had such a comfortable upbringing those hints of discomfort and vulnerability are threatening to him as someone who always had everything handed to him. and when you dont know how to deal with situations like that ASWELL as being afraid of being seen as "weak" youre Gonna start resorting to harsher words and sometimes even get physical because you have no clue how else to handle this. its also why the natsumes character consists of him being pretty obsessed with "growing up" and "not being a kid anymore," because he knows how immature he could be SKHDGJH he doesnt have bad intentions he just. doesnt know how to be vulnerable with people

12 Anti LO Asks

1. its victim blaming of hades to tell minthe its HER fault she "couldnt get over him". like? you lied to her! youre the one who blurred the lines to date her! you were just as toxic to her if not more so by controlling where she lives and her job, all while never defending her to your cruel family! you had all the power over her while she had nothing! you dumped her for a 19 year old and dont care she crippled minthe! i wont excuse minthe's actions, but hades is ultimately the worse of the two IMO

2. you know why fans claimed "Minthe should've reacted better"? since the first episode Rachel has been drilling into their heads Minthe is an irredeemable monster, and her not bending over backwards to H/P means she deserves the absolute worst. Minthe reacting how anyone logically would doesn't matter when LO is designed to coddle H/P, and anyone against them must suffer for it, even if the victim to H/P's actions. they never wanted her to be "redeemed", they want her head on a silver platter.

3. i know this is not what she intended bc the only characterization rachel has of hxp is "the best over everything" but uh, does she know having hades control all the petroleum and gasses and whatever else is actively destroying the planet, right? like hes helping the very thing persephone draws her power from and what she's connected to be destroyed to appease hes need for wealth and power. its kinda gross hes being romanticized while he commits horrible acts like this for his bank account.

4. its not impossible to go opposite in their original myth personalities and still have it work. like in hades game, sisyphus is one of the most likable characters, achilles is gentle and kind, ares is calm and rational, etc, but it makes sense within the context of the story. LO in comparison goes "all these loving mothers are evil because i said so! this beloved god is now evil because i said so! minthe is evil because i said so!" and that's about it in terms of logic to these wild changes.

5. I can kinda get behind anon's theory about the flower nymphs looking like P to help her be undetected, the problem is there are also unrelated women in comic who are bright pink and look just like her, with hades even confusing them for her! if i had to bet the only reason they look like that is because rachel just wanted daphne to look like her to hammer home apollo is "obsessed" with P and to fake them as her "real family" over demeter. also just laziness in designing characters in general.

6. its weird hades and persephone are well aware what they're doing is bad even openly admitting it and yet the narrative is so hellbent on excusing their bad actions?? like hades being the major toxic factor in his relationship to minthe, persephone killing people, or hades wanting to bone an eternal 19 year old? like rachel you know thats not how character growth works, right? you cant show they have horrible flaws and leave them to never grow and learn from it, that's not good writing at all.

7. what i also dont get is the hierarchy makes no sense? like zeus is framed as the top god, but that would mean hades cant be the most important man ever so rachel also made him equal rank with zeus (and i guess poseidon too) so?? how does zeus have all that power over them then if theyre all equal? is it because zeus swallowed metis? also how are the fertility goddess so powerful and rare yet so easily taken down? how are they overpowered and super weak at the same time? i just dont get it.

8. Re reading chapter 144 and other anon is right we do see the pomegranate pin on Hades outfit (so Hades gifts it to her)

But also some things to note

During the makeout session persy begins to disappear in butterfly form and hades is like "no don't leave!" And he grabs her, preventing her from leaving. Which is..kinda Ick considering they were on their way to having (public) sex and he doesn't want her to leave which seems like he's not really respecting her boundaries? (because if she does he'll "be lonely")

The pomegranate pin is Hades' to begin with so technically one of Persephones symbols is not hers (yes I know in the original myth she ate it in the underworld / was forced to eat it but still its supposed to be her symbol)

Hades notes that he "doesn't want to overstep his boundaries as host" because Persephone is a guest (too late for that)

Persephones main concern (after what a week or 2?) after being raped is when Hades wants to stop her reaction is "dont you want me anymore?"

Girl you aren't even dating ...??

Persy's literal one and only concern is that she thinks if she doesnt sleep with Hades right then or when/if he wants to that "she wont be able to give him what hes used to" ... Which is reinforcing that she went to therapy to get "over being blocked" in regards to having sex

Although Hades does mention that she shouldn't feel like she needs to please him and that a kiss can just be a kiss which would be nice

(And yet his thinking of marrying her amd he's known her for 2, 3 weeks? ... And he says "the beginning of a new relationship is exciting and scary" so hes basically indicating thay their dating at this point, I think?)

And later the nymphs in the store are like "do you wanna be the dominatrix of the bedroom?? Buy this lingerie!" And persy does. So??

Meanwhile Demeter is very worried for her daughter who is busy sitting in Hades lap in a pool.

9. Can we talk about how anons are making fucking flow charts for the LO Timeline cause it's so ridiculously jumbled?

10. im not even against rushed relationships, ive known actual couples who met and were married all within the same year and it worked out great, the difference though is these were people who had their own lives and previous relationships. the issue with LO is RS designed it so Persephone can NEVER have relationships or a life outside of Hades, and if they did get married offscreen, it's framing their marriage in a toxic and unbalanced light. That's not a romance, it's a disaster waiting to happen.

11. i feel like there's a difference between drawing an interesting hooked/aquiline nose versus whatever the hell RS puts on Hades' face. It honestly looks like he's in between morphing into a bird half the time since it just looks like a beak over an actual facial feature.

12. are there shareholders or a board of advisors or something at underworld corp? because if there is id say they have more than enough reason to kick hades out and strip him of his titles/shares because of all the shit he's caused by being guided by his broken pp over thinking with his head. liking dating TWO employees? and getting one of them phsyically crippled by the other bc he can't be honest with either of them and she's a walking time bomb? he's a walking HR nightmare.

like, the entire first five minutes are the campers being friendly to each other?? and vulnerable, to a degree??? you know i love that shit

CHICKENS POP OUT?????? tyler deserved better

also some of the challenges were a lot easier, or at the very least, harder to fail than others this ep. i love it but come on. lindsay and sadie vs like. gwen vs owen and izzy vs dj. there were very different time limits, actual fright level, ability to back out once they were doing the challenge.... not a fair challenge

also uhm. if we’re being technical tyler and heather had the exact same reaction to their fears, so why did heather get a point and tyler didn’t? if the chicken had run at him, would he have won? smh

i do love this episode so much but. i had a couple complaints

This line is about when jotaro first manifested star platinum. “I remember the minute, it was like a switch was flipped” fits perfectly with how suddenly and obviously star platinum became known to its user, as jotaro first manifests it when he’s in the middle of a fight, a fight star platinum ends very quickly and brutally. The “i was just a kid who grew up strong enough to pick this armor up” is about jotaro having the willpower to control a stand such as star platinum and not get ill over it. He “grew up strong enough to pick this armor up”, this armor being star platinum (which, yes, star platinum is armor more than a weapon because its strength is used to protect. This is stated explicitly in the jin hashimoto song “star platinum” which was written specifically with jotaro/star platinum in mind, as the title suggests). It also shows how young jotaro was re the “kid” description; he was only 17, the youngest jojo up to that point. the “and suddenly it fit” also mixes with how suddenly star platinum manifested, particularly how jotaro gained passable control over it very quickly

“God, that was so long ago, long ago, long ago…/I was little, I was weak, I was perfectly naive,/and I grew up too quick.” Another long line im sorry it just doesnt make sense to cut it up 😭 Anyway this is part 6 jotaro reflecting on his past self, PARTICULARLY part 3 jotaro, which explains the “god, that was so long ago, long ago, long ago…” segment “I was little, i was weak, i was perfectly naive” is kinda gold coming from part 6 jotaro cause end of part 3 jotaro is canonically when he’s at his strongest but i dont think part 6 jotaro is talking about star platinum in this line. He’s talking about jotaro being tactless and rude and pushing away his loved aways in a disillusioned attempt to keep them safe. By part 6, jotaro has to have known his coping mechanism of self-imposed isolation wasnt fair to his loved ones/himself and it clearly didnt WORK as evidenced by jolyne’s situation, so he’s cursing his younger self for it here. Hence, the calling of part 3 jotaro “little, weak, perfectly naive.” part 3 jotaro starts making the bed that part 6 jotaro ends up having to lay in and he hates him for it. The “and I grew up too quick” part is jotaro acknowledging his trauma. Even before part 3 started jotaro clearly had issues and they just kept building and building and building from part 3 and on. Combined with his self-imposed isolation, jotaro had to grow up quick to survive, and this line is part 6 jotaro reflecting on that

“Now you won’t see all that i have to lose,/all i’ve lost in the fight to protect it.” Remember the self-imposed isolation i mentioned in the last line? This line is about why jotaro does that. He hates being vulnerable. He hates relying on others. We only see him comfortable trusting others to take care of things ONCE the entire series, during the steely dan arc, when he believes in kakyoin’s abilities to keep joseph safe and get the lovers out of him safely. ONCE out of the four parts he’s featured in, out of the three he’s prominent in. jotaro does this, as i previously mentioned, out of a disillusioned attempt to keep those he loves safe, hence the “now you won’t see all that i have to lose” line. This behavior is solidified in jotaro at the end of stardust crusaders, when the two final times he tried to trust that others would handle it resulted in the deaths of over of half those he cared the most about (he may have gotten joseph back, but don’t forget that joseph did actually die). Thus, this decisive night ties into the “all i’ve lost in the fight to protect it” line. He’s lost loved ones but he won’t lose them again, not in the same way at least. Ironically, the self-imposed isolation only puts his loved ones and himself in danger, but i can get into that later.

“I won’t let you in, i swore never again --/i can’t afford, no, i refuse to be rejected” This line kinda ties back with what i was mentioning in the last line, but it hones it a bit more on jotaro’s complete denial of being vulnerable rather than how he acts to ensure he isnt such. “I wont let you in, i swore never again” is a direct tie-in for how jotaro feels after stardust crusaders; he is never going to get as close to anyone or anything the way he was close to the crusaders ever again. Nothing is ever going to matter to him the same way and he is going to make sure of that, as the “swore never again” implies, because he is certain, at least at first, that this will keep others safe. The “i can’t afford, no, i refuse to be rejected” part goes into how selfish and arrogant jotaro’s mentality is. Don’t get me wrong, jotaro’s self-imposed isolation can be seen as selfless, especially because the main driving force behind it is to keep others safe -- but it’s not the only force driving it. Like i said, jotaro doesn’t want to be vulnerable, and to be sure he doesnt feel that way, he needs to ensure he won’t be hurt. Can’t be sad when people die if you were never close to them, right? So as much as it is to protect others, he also is protecting himself by closing off from others. It’s also arrogant of jotaro to assume he is the deciding factor of who lives and dies, that he gets to choose/manipulate the cycle of life and death by deciding on if he opens up to others. Jotaro had this mentality of being a “deciding factor” shoved into his head during the journey to egypt, and that kinda warps his worldview as a result; everything must be his fault. Things go bad surely because he let them somehow. And it’s not jotaro’s fault he’s ill in the head like this but it is still arrogant, and the “i can’t afford, no, i refuse to be rejected” line attests to this.

“I want to break these bones until theyre better/i want to break them right and feel alive” Oh jotaro you have the shittiest fuckign coping mechanisms Alright. “I want to break these bones until theyre better” ties into jotaro throwing himself into dangerous situations alone. He’s just so so damn convinced he can handle everything himself -- bc again, he is led to believe he is the deciding factor of life and death -- he just has to try. If things go wrong, it’s bc he didn’t try hard enough, hence the “break these bones until theyre better”; jotaro will hurt himself and will be convinced he deserved it until he “learns” how to be perfect like he’s “supposed” to be. But being perfect isnt something you can learn, you mentally ill motherfucker jotaro. anyway “I want to break them right and feel alive” ties into the fact jotaro would rather break his body over and over and over rather than tell his loved ones he cares. The only right way to be hurt to him is taking a hit that was meant for those he loves. Jotaro is very much a man of action rather than a man of word, and this line is about his rather unique way of acting (that is, getting beat the fuck up over and over) Basically jotaro can’t tell the people he loves that he, well, loves them, unless he is literally dying. Examples of what i mean: jotaro preferred going on a perilous, 50-day journey to just telling holly he loved her; jotaro preferred getting beat over the head with a rock in the lovers arc rather than risk hurting joseph; jotaro preferred to literally get blown up by sheer heart attack rather than tell koichi to his face he is a good kid; jotaro stepped knowingly into a trap for jolyne and had to literally believe he was in fact saying his last words before he uttered “i’ve always cherished you.”

“You were wrong, you were wrong, you were wrong --/my healing needed more than time” Oh my GODDDddDDDdcdd im sobbing as i type jotaro your head is so so damn ill Okay so i see him spitting this line towards joseph. Let me explain Joseph would no doubt pick up on jotaro’s ptsd and he’ll do his best to console jotaro over the deaths of their friends. But see joseph is ALSO an ill in the head idiot whose idea of therapy is electroshock and who calls ptsd “shell shock”. So all he can offer to jotaro is “youll feel better in time” because that was kinda true for him; he managed to move on in time. What joseph fails to realize is what made him feel better was not time, but the support of those remaining in his life (lisa lisa, suziq, erina, smokey). But jotaro listens and tries to give it time but the thing with jotaro is he just gets worse and worse as time wears on because he deliberately cut himself off from anyone who could console him (as well as got continually traumatized throughout his life), so time never helped but actually made things worse. Thus jotaro spitting “you were wrong, you were wrong, you were wrong, my healing needed more than time”. In terms of timeline, probably happens right after part 5 jotaro stares longingly at the crusaders picture

“When i see fragile things, helpless things, broken things/i see the familiar” Im sorry every new line i start to analyze i begin crying so im just letting you all know incase the coherency takes a dip (as if this was coherent in the first place lmfao) Anyway so this line in relation to Jotaro is about how he projects HARD on the new generation. We see this w his interactions w josuke and koichi, the “fragile things” (there is no way he didnt see koichi as a filler for kakyoin im sorry. Also he just wants josuke safe with his friends like how he wished he was safe with his own friends as a teenager), how he was wary of giorno, “the helpless things” (jotaro is scared he’ll be similar to his dad, just like jotaro is similar enough to dio to share the same stand power…), and his interactions w jolyne, “the broken things” (angry teen in a prison? Come now).

“I was little, i was weak, i was perfect too/now i’m a broken mirror” Throwback to the second line. Once again part 6 jotaro is reflecting but the difference here is that part 3 was when jotaro was last unashamedly happy, but more than that, part 3 jotaro was on his way to healing before everything went to shit. like i mentioned earlier, jotaro only relies on someone else completely once, and that happens in part 3. Jotaro is finally able to trust in someone else’s capabilities, which is what he needed to do before he could allow anyone to help him with the weight of the world on his shoulders. Hence, why part 6 jotaro would describe him as “perfect”; because he would’ve been perfect enough if he could just trust in others like that again But as the line suggests, that went wrong. Jotaro is now a “broken mirror,” which alludes to the fact that while he projects onto the kids, the kids (the ones that know him at least) project onto him as well, especially jolyne, because in part 6 she finally figures out her dad’s thought processes, as she is experiencing those patterns of thinking too. Jotaro is a role model for them in the sense of “see him? Do the opposite of what he did” KJ;DNJ;DN;SN

“But i can’t let you see all that i have to lose/all that i’ve lost in the fight to protect it” Same meaning as before mostly but the repetition is important me thinks because it mimics jotaro like frantically trying to remind himself why he must be distant when all he wanted to do was go home to jolyne and be her father

“I can’t let you in --/ i swore never again,/ i can’t afford to let myself be blindsided” This means roughly the same thing as the previous line that’s similar to this, but the “i can’t afford to let myself be blindsided” is less about jotaro’s selfishness/arrogance and more about how he believes enemies will use his loved ones against him and how goddamn, it would work, it would work so well because jotaro loves so, so damn much It’s a shame distancing himself didn’t work the way he wanted it to and ended up making his loved ones even more vulnerable than they would have been otherwise

“I’m standing guard,/i’m falling apart/and all i want to do is to trust you” (Begins screaming and doesn’t stop) okay so this line is about jotaro and jolyne during the beginning of stone ocean “Im standing guard” alludes to the fact that jotaro is still desperately trying to appear distant and uninterested even as he attempts to break his fucking daughter out of prison “I’m falling apart” ties into jotaro failing miserably at remaining cold towards jolyne, how he eventually caves in and tells her he loves her in addition to taking a literal bullet for her, using time stop to ensure he can make it to her to do so. and also this line ties into how he is literally physically shot and how his memories and stand are taken from him “And all i want to do is to trust you” is directed towards jolyne of course. God his whole “i’ve always cherished you” ties in with this line; like i mentioned earlier, jotaro by part 6 knows his self-imposed isolation is useless, but old habits die hard and also he was in very deep by the time he accepted there was no reason to go in the first place at all. So he doesn’t know how to change, he doesn’t know how to trust jolyne, it’d been 20ish years since he last trusted someone completely, but god he wants to. He wants to trust her. It’s all he wants to do hence this line

“Show me how to lay my sword down/for long enough to let you through” So continuing from the last line, jotaro just wants to let jolyne in. he wants to learn how to do that. I think this line is actually directed towards his younger self; 17 year old jotaro managed to let in a person once, after all (more than one person in fact, but all the crusaders). This would also make more sense w my interpretation of how part 6 jotaro calls part 3 jotaro “perfect” in this regard Essentially it’s jotaro thumbing through his memories to figure out how his past self gathered the security to trust in someone else wholeheartedly...which makes the fact that pucci steals his memories particularly fucked up in this context

“Here i am, pry me open/what do you want to know?” Another line directed toward jolyne. “Here i am, pry me open” refers to how after jotaro tells jolyne he cherishes her, all cards are on the table. He’s shown vulnerability, might as well go full throttle. So, he’s willing to talk to jolyne for the first time ever, especially because she’s a stand user now “What do you want to know?” ties into jotaro being willing to open up, but also the fact that jolyne doesnt really know her dad ):

“I’m just a kid who grew up scared enough/to hold the door shut/and bury my innocence” Hhnghg begins wailing this line is again about post-egypt jotaro. A lot of jotaro’s like...emotional maturation (and even some physical) occurred during the trip to egypt and immediately afterward. he’s in pain and desperately trying to rationalize a way he can be in control of never letting something like what happened in egypt happen again, hence the “im just a kid who grew up scared enough” “To hold the door shut” refers to how jotaro cut off other people, even the people who used to know him very well, like joseph and polnareff and holly “And bury my innocence” i mentioned this in another line but this bit also refers to how jotaro had to grow up quickly to survive, considering his self-imposed isolation and his life path of chasing down dio’s remnants

“But here’s a map, here’s a shovel/here’s my Achilles’ heel” This line is SUPPOSED to be directed toward jolyne but inadvertently it is also directed toward pucci. When jotaro says fuck it and gives up on his pretense of disinterest in jolyne, finally letting her know he loves her, he’s finally building the frame of a bridge to jolyne; he’s ready to do what he’s wanted to for so long, no matter how vulnerable it makes him, and that is to be jolyne’s father. However, pucci takes note of this; he knows to aim for jolyne in the final battle because of jotaro’s earlier actions when he tries breaking jolyne out of prison. It really is a shame how the narrative keeps fucking enforcing jotaro’s shitty self-imposed isolation

“I’m all in, palms out, i’m at your mercy now and i’m ready to begin/i am strong, i am strong, i am strong enough to let you in” Hmm i imagine this line being when jotaro meets back up with jolyne after he gets his memory disk back. The first thing he does is hug her and cradle her close to him, showing off to the world, right in front of pucci, how much his daughter means to him. But jotaro, at least for the moment, is not scared to be vulnerable anymore. Ever since he decided to give up his cold facade, he was ready to let jolyne in, and he finally has the chance to do that at least a little right before the final battle, which is what this line is about

“I’ll shake the ground with all my might/i will pull my whole heart up to the surface” Final battle in stone ocean,,, What the “i’ll shake the ground will all my might” line refers to is jotaro’s willingness to use star platinum the world during the battle. He’s ready to go all in to save the world, and most importantly, save jolyne, even if he has to use the source of his greatest trauma to do it. Jotaro’s a key player and he knows it, has known it for a long time, and this time he’s going to use that for his happy ending. And well, as i mentioned in the last line, jotaro’s done with the self-isolation and throws himself into the role of jolyne’s father, at least as much as he has the right to throw himself into. This is mostly what the “i will pull my whole heart up to the surface” line refers to

“For the innocent, for the vulnerable/i’ll show up to the frontlines with a purpose” More stone ocean final battle. The “innocent and vulnerable” jotaro is showing up for are jolyne, namely, but also hermes and emporio, and beyond that, the world. Jotaro understands how serious this is and he’s always been a force meant for protection, so he is here to do just that, which is what the “i’ll show up to the frontlines with a purpose” line refers to. Jotaro doesnt believe he’s a good person -- and he might not be, in the grand scheme of things -- but he does fight for what he believes is right, he always has, he mentions this way back in stardust crusaders during his fight with kakyoin. He’s never going to let injustice stand, especially not when he knows he’s such a key player

“And i’ll give all i have, i’ll give my blood, give my sweat --/an ocean of tears will spill for what is broken” This line actually applies to all the “final battles” jotaro has been involved in; part 3, part 4, and part 6. Jotaro, as i mentioned in the last line, has a strong sense of justice and is a force that first and foremost tries to protect, which the “i’ll give all i have, i’’l give my blood, give my sweat” part of this line refers to. Jotaro gives his all, has given his all, to rid the world of dio’s influence, he ruined his entire fucking life to do so, and this line gives credence to that. “An ocean of tears will spill for what is broken” refers to jotaro mourning all the what-ifs in his life, which are all tied with how the outcomes of these final battles go. If part 3 didnt end the way it did, jotaro would know how to trust still, he wouldve been happy even, maybe he wouldnt have had to sacrifice the rest of his life to dio; if part 4 didn’t end the way it did, maybe jotaro couldve gone home to his daughter, maybe he couldve been a bit of a better dad (this is because kids were involved in part 4 even if they didn’t try to because stand users attract stand users, and jotaro couldnt risk doing that to his daughter, so he ends up never coming home); and now for part 6, jotaro hopes that if it ends just a little better than the previous two, jotaro could at least died a satisfying death of sacrificing himself for jolyne, or maybe even got a chance to try mending his relationship with jolyne if they both survive

“I’m shattered porcelain, glued back together again” So this line speaks to both physical and emotional states Jotaro was physically “shattered porcelain” when he lost his stand and memory and also was shot, and he was “glued back together again” when he got medical attention and jolyne got back his disks Jotaro was emotionally “shattered porcelain” due to the fact he couldnt trust anyone completely since he was 17 goddamn years old but he’s “glued back together again” in the sense he’s ready to finally, finally try and be vulnerable in order to save his relationship with jolyne

“Invincible like i’ve never been” This line hurts so fucking much because i believe jotaro was optimistic, all things considered, at the beginning of the final fight in stone ocean. After all, he knows he’s an important figure in all this, he has his stand disk and memories back, he and jolyne and the others have a plan, and he has a future he wants to fight for in addition to the world’s continued functioning So he feels “invincible” like he’s never felt before because not even during the part 3 final battle with dio did he have the hope for the future he has now. But then. Then pucci brings out the knives. And the man who could control time never had enough in the end. He dies and cant even save jolyne with his death. The world ends. He failed. I think this is perfectly represented with how suddenly the song ends. It just perfectly encapsulates the tragedy that is jotaro kujo and i cant stop fucking thinking about it

I was unsure weather to send this in or not, but i have to say something, im really weird and please no one take offense to this because im just going off by what i learned and how i view things, the whole male dom and sub fem/boy is something girl or boy normally want and sometimes its not just sexual, they just want to feel love and protected, and normally its the weak ones who want that. I"M NOT SAYING THE FEMALES ARE WEAK. I mean weak in a way they want to be able to feel that type of connection i guess. of course they're can be a dom female but thats not everyone is wired the same way. I learned that humans are just like animals. (not in a bad way) i kinda researched this, its gross but it shows how we are connected into being an animal.

I once read that a male could tell a female was on her period by smelling her, and he said that he got horny from it and he texted her and said "you smell good, i could smell it." (CREEPY RIGHT?) - this was a story on reddit i believe But its also shows that females like a certain smell of males or whoever and they like it, same with the males.......if you give off a certain smell and someone likes it......it makes them either want to protect you or dom you in some way. (weather its harmful or not) to be honest i don't know why im sharing this......im getting off topic.....i'm sorry..... I just mean.....that i think if you want stories like that you should write them.....i knew someone to wrote sub males stuff and they got so much hate which really upsetted me. No one ever thinks that someone is behind the blog and that they have feelings and that they write things like that for a reason. Sorry if this was a weird ask. look i can't,,,, say much really because you said this is how you view things and i can't very well say 'no your opinion is wrong sorry' but i can ig talk about my views in response? i don't want this issue to be something that becomes prevalent across my blog and i don't want this to be a discussion i have to have over and over again, so this will probably be the last i talk about this? i've already said my piece in the first ask i got and where i stand on it, and i think my stance is clear so i don't wanna keep defending myself over and over on an issue i've already explained my stance on.

however, i'm fully aware that the dom/sub dynamics are not inherently sexual to everyone. that's not what the ask was about though, the ask was about smut fics in the kpop fanfiction community, so i won't speak outside the spectrum of smut as that's not what the originally ask was about! i do find issue with the idea that only 'the weak ones' want to feel loved and protected. doms, in any relationship and any aspect of those dynamics, want to feel loved and protected as much as anyone else. it may not be as prevalent (and it's certainly not represented properly in the spectrum of kpop fanfiction), but it is still present and exists. i'm confused by how you describe weak, because in using the term weak, you are calling females/subs lesser than males/doms, so i think the term weak isn't the best choice of words.

as far as the connections between humans and animals, that's a more contentious topic. there have been some studies that discuss certain pheromones, but it doesn't change the fact that females can be dominant and males can be submissive. and with that, the whole 'scent' thing, i talked with a friend who is much more knowledgeable in these topics than i am and lindy told me "pheromones play a small role in human sexuality and attraction but they do not dictate our preferences as we have evolved our brains further than other animals and there are many other nuanced factors involved in selecting a mate"

another thing i want to just briefly mention is that there is an underlying heteronormativity to what you're saying, and i say that because you're very focused and honed on male dominance and female submissiveness. and with the scent thing, you talk of females liking a certain smell of males, but there are females who don't like men at all, and there are people who don't identify as either male or female, so i find it difficult to look at these studies which only study the similarities between male and female animals and humans, because humans aren't as,,, cut and dry so to speak!

but again yeah i agree, the bottom line is that writers can write whatever they want, whether it be dom reader/sub idol or sub reader/dom idol! there isn't a rulebook that dictates we should do one thing over the other. those who prefer to read rather than writing have a huge huge pool of fics to choose from and while dom reader fics are HARDER to find, they ARE there and they DO exist! and hating on someone for whether they write sub idol or dom idol is honestly unnecessary and beyond me bc it's so ?! just odd to me, i can't imagine fanfic ever being that serious to that degree when there's plenty of fanfic out there </3

He has your hair products MEMORIZED. If you ever run out of something, he’s the first to track it down for you. He also likes to draw cat ears and whiskers on the products in your bathroom <3

On your first year anniversary, he wrote you a really sweet song. He ran across the rooftops of New York with an acoustic guitar slung over his shoulder to get to your apartment, and you still remember the way he smiled as you grabbed his hands to pull him through the window. (He’s a good singer, too! It was the sweetest thing in the world <3)

He’s SUCH a nerd... talk to him about your latest interest, do it!! He gets just as passionate as you do, even if he had no idea what it was beforehand! He loves passion.

He has Houdini’s history memorized forwards and backwards: both his personal life and his performances! He gets so excited when he talks about Houdini, it’s cute. He’ll lay his head in your lap and ramble for ages, if you let him. His eyes light up like supernovas, it’s adorable. He talks with his hands, too.

Super supportive of your art!! He frames/hangs up anything you give to him. And if it’s too small, you bet its going in his treasure box. (He keeps it under his bed, and it’s full of little things that remind him of you.)

Speaking of which, he’s cool if you ever need a bit of space! It doesn’t hurt his feelings, I promise. Everyone needs a little bit of space sometimes, and that’s okay! So long as you know you’re loved, he’s cool with it.

He’s a huge fan of personality tests!! Both serious ones like Myers-Briggs and the silly ones that you find on like. Buzzfeed. He’ll stay up for HOURS taking them to avoid going to bed. (He’s an ENFP & Gryffindor, for reference! He barely skirts into ENFP-T, [Around a 55-45, maybe 60-40 split] if you wanna be specific.) He loves sending them to you, too!

Literally the sticky note KING. He’ll stick them everywhere. Having a depressive episode? Sticky note reminders to eat & shower if he’s not there. Loving little stickies with encouragement! Declarations of how much he loves you, and how proud of you he is! He’ll also do it when you’re feeling a-okay, but you can bet that he increases them when you’re not feeling well. It’s a nice way for him to tell you that he loves you and is proud of you when he isn’t there. You keep all of them in a box of your own :) You guys also have a giant sticky note trail on your fridge. You both keep stacking responses on top of one another.

Cymbalta - day 2

-i took cymbalta at 6 am and took another medication to help me sleep till noon which i think helped me just sleep through the REALLY bad nausea!

how i felt mentally:

-i felt better/happier? i think i felt a little bit more ‘clear’?? im just out of the really depressed mood. My anxiety feels a lot less but still lingering there so i think therapy will help aswell.\

-my thoughts/themes aren’t GONe and i still stick and obsess about them but i don’t feel like i need to kms at lingering at it like i did before. i still feel... not good about it but im not as anxious? i think im really used to falling about into bad thinking. Obsessing has been a huge part of my daily routine so i feel like it’s not a lost cause.

-im able to think about other things! i still remind myself of shit but! my racing thoughts include a lot more topics!

-as i am writing this towards the end of the day at 10 pm i feel very WIRED. i feel upbeat and almost like i am on coffee. i am a little shaky but im not ANXIOUS? i just feel like i have a lot of energy. i feel like i need to just calm down.

-i feel a little!??? strange? i feel BETTER!! mentally but at the same time im a little spacey? thats normal for me but i feel like i can focus a lot better! but i feel like i cant focus until i get like really into it. im wondering how this will pan out in the long run.

how i felt physically:

-i slept through the expected nausea but when i woke up and a couple hours after i felt weak and a bit sensitive, classic post nausea feelings. went away complelty once i felt hungry for dinner around 5-6pm. i still feel a bit weak and sensitive i think just by how much my stomach has been upset this week.

-its hard to pee. i use the bathroom quiet often (45-1 hour) because i drink A LOT of water. i think it’s just my regular routine and something i tried to help with my headaches! but now i go to the bathroom when i feel like i need to? i guess with time and how much i drank but i don’t fully feel like i need to and i cant???? hope that goes away. if it gets worse i’ll switch.

-i haven’t had a legit headache today!!!! last night i did when i was trying to go to bed! but now i feel a lot better. i had a little one when i was waiting for dinner because i think i just really needed food because i didn’t eat much before that bc of nausea.

-the pain factor of this medicine i def think WORKS!!! my headaches are more numb/not there! i’m happy! also my back pain feels a lot less!!!

-the throat and tongue thing was worse and was for longer! i found that sucking on a halls throat suckle quickly actually really helps!!!

i am going to take the calm pill before bed to help me sleep tonight and then take the next pill at 6 and then go back to bed to try and avoid the nausea again!

8. Paper or electronic books? i always say that i prefer paper but... when was the last time I actually read a hardcopy book? i have no idea. so truthfully, electronic.

WARNING: ZHENHUN NOVEL SPOILERS UNTIL THE END + HINTS ON EXTRAS

‪[WARNING: ZHENHUN NOVEL SPOILERS; i was word vomitting my thoughts solely on the novel so some of my initial points may have a diff conclusion in the end haha; honestly just block #spoilers tag i just needed to let this out and hey if you have your own takes and the like about this I’M MORE THAN HAPPY TO HEAR AND DISCUSS THEM ❤️]‬

I was wondering what it was about WeiLan that I love so much. Tbh, for me, Zhenhun wasn’t really very well written (which was expected of an old work of priest dating back in 2012). It had a good premise and a potential for great world building on the whole gods, ghosts, humans, and reincarnation thing — sure. But that’s where it ended. Potential. Because at the end, the explanation on what happened was too mystical and confusing despite its genre being fantasy in a sense as well. The thing with magical genre is that yeah it can have ~magical reasons~ on plot but that magic should have “rules”. For example, one of the nature of ghosts is inevitably sucking up the life force of ordinary humans — that “rule” then points as a reason why SW cannot get close to Kunlun’s reincarnations. The reason was magical in nature but it also adhered to rules making it more “logical”. Zhenhun did good in setting those boundaries early on until the last fight where (personally) suddenly everything’s awry. The explanation was all over the place. The rules were thrown to the dust.

Zhenhun also introduced SID and we don’t see much found family diving more into them. Zhenhun was all about WeiLan (not that im complaining lol) but it had all the chance to show more of Zhao Yunlan with SID, with his mom, with his dad, etc — basically all the connections he has as a human being. And that’s what Zhao Yunlan was then — a human. Sure, he had some cute interactions with them (with him coming out to his mom most especially!) but I feel we could have had more. Or wait maybe I’m just used to MXTX’s writings where we get to see the focus on everyone’s humanity. Ahh, that could be a reason for this feeling then haha. (Shen Wei not having deep connections with others made perfect sense bc 1) he’s a ghost — remember their nature; and 2) his devotion and focus was on the first and only individual he’s ever loved who gave him so much of himself as well.)

Basically, the world building and side characters had so much potential but we didn’t get much of it. The focus was literally on WeiLan — and this is why it’s easy to say that WeiLan was extremely well developed but the same sentiments can’t be said to Zhenhun as a whole.

Controversial/Unpopular Take (most probably): I think that Zhenhun was, first and foremost, the love story between Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan. It was difficult to empathize at first when we barely deal with the characters’ “humanity”. Zhao Yunlan returns as a god and Shen Wei never was human. They both are entities far from us. And then we think back and deeper to the both of them and suddenly our empathy is easily pulled with certain realizations.

I first thought “wow, shen wei’s really obsessed with zhao yunlan”. And then I recalled that shit bruh this ghost felt his non-existent heart beat for Kunlun the first time they met, this ghost spent hundreds of years with Kunlun who showed him teasing gentleness and how it was okay to be more than what his nature dictated of him, this ghost was given the gift of freedom with the bone from his god, this ghost was presented a future with a purpose with his god’s soul willingly and lovingly gifted to him, and this ghost spent 5,000 years watching and suffering in silence (because never again will he inadvertently hurt his beloved like in that shen san extra). Who wouldn’t go mad? Who wouldn’t be obsessed? And he’s not even human — he’s a ghost, someone who was literally born from the depths of hell, someone who doesn’t have a soul, someone who’s an abomination because they’re darkness personified. Remember the theme for ghosts? The more beautiful they are, the more terrifying they are. And Shen Wei’s beauty was one of the recurring things we are reminded in the story. Priest lets us laugh at Zhao Yunlan’s thirstiness for the most beautiful being. But Priest simultaneously subtly nudges us to remember that Shen Wei is also the most terrifying being here. Shen Wei’s nature is to destroy and devour and then Kunlun shows up and he strives to be “better” but while Kunlun serves as an outside factor for the change he wanted to himself, it should also not be denied that Shen Wei’s individual choice (the internal factor) is extremely strong here as well. Shen Wei started out with just solely focused on Zhao Yunlan but in the end, while his intensity on his beloved never diminished, we see him softening up to select people because of his experiences and Zhao Yunlan’s reassurances on his love for him. We see how much Priest improved as a writer with that Shen San extra. It made us empathize with this dark ghost easier. We are suddenly given a glimpse on what he experienced; suddenly the 5,000 years isn’t just some number but a reminder that it was nothing but pain and suffering for this man. We feel for this inhumane ghost; that while he’s not human in any form — the story of his love and devotion was something we can now understand as human beings.

Now, there’s Zhao Yunlan, our reincarnating god and Shen Wei’s most beloved. He was a human majority of the story and we see snippets of his connections which as I already said had so much potential but weren’t fully dived upon. At first he served as majority of the light tone and humor with how thirsty he was for Shen Wei, how he joked with his SID team, and how he’s weak against his mom and has daddy issues haha. And I kept on thinking “god he’s such a man-child why tf is shen wei in-love with him”. Then tiny hints are shown. Zhao Yunlan kept on trying to save the “girls” who kept on jumping off the building because while they’re fake, what if one really needed saving? Zhao Yunlan who keeps on threatening to cut his team’s bonus but has not really done that. Kunlun who readily sacrificed himself to save the world; Kunlun who took in this weird ghost king; Kunlun who took parts of him to gift this beautiful, terrifying ghost a chance, a future, and godhood. Fate even remakes him as a savior despite being human with the start of the foundations of the Guardian Order initially from Shen San. We now see that despite his asshole and rough exterior, Zhao Yunlan‘s core was a very kind individual — as a god and as a human being. And of course, all those mistakes and lies that Shen Wei made? Zhao Yunlan doesn’t excuse him (as much as i often joke how he’s the biggest shen wei apologist) as he explicitly calls him out on it and they try to improve from there each time. He opens his arms to him and welcomes Shen Wei home and this shows us the depth of his own love as well. Zhao Yunlan makes Shen Wei understand that it’s okay if he makes mistakes, that it’s okay if he isn’t really as “kind” as his facade is, and that it’s okay even if Shen Wei is an abominable creature. Zhao Yunlan shows Shen Wei that he doesn’t have to be perfect to be worthy of (his) love. This is what Zhao Yunlan’s story is telling us as well — that we too don’t have to be pure in order to have the “right to be loved”; and that our kindness can inspire others to be their best versions.

This is why I think Zhenhun was, first and foremost, the love story between Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan and later, how their story impacts on us. We learn to empathize with someone not human who was deep inside so raw in his emotions. We learn from a god/human that love doesn’t have to be “justified” — we love because we love and there is no need to attach explanations to such a beautiful emotion. We learn that so long as we have at least one person to give us that unconditional love and we accept it then that is more than enough; and that this can serve as our bridge in learning how to love and accept others as well. And we learn that while Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan seems far off entities as they’re not humans and one only had a touch to experience of what it was like to be one — “love” is a common ground for any creature.

i thought the steve stuff was bad but tbh the thor stuff was the only thing that truly enraged me and im really surprised i havent seen more people talking about it!

I saw some discussion of it on twitter, but more in a subtweet kind of way bc spoilers.

So I know not everyone reacted this way but I had a very negative response to the way the movie drew an intersection between Thor’s grief and depression, alcoholism and obesity. This is not to say that these things cannot be related but the framing was what made it a problem *for me*. In Ragnarok we see alcoholism and grief and withdrawal from Valkyrie and in Infinity War we see grief and (briefly) hopeless paralysis from Thor but in both cases the films frame their pain with compassion and even if there are moments of comic relief, the audience is expected to relate to the characters in pain.

That’s not what happens with the representation of Thor here and I think a lot of it has to do with how his obesity is framed not only as comic relief but also as emasculation. So even though Valkyrie also retreats in Ragnarok from her duties, she’s not framed as incompetent or weak, and even when she’s visibly drunk, staggering, she’s visually framed as strong. Thor’s obesity is played for laughs and *mocking* laughs. It’s linked to his moping over Jane and to his desire to get a drink at Valhalla instead of complete a vital mission. It’s linked to visceral disgust not only bc his body is large, but because it’s represented as unclean and unkempt. It’s a nasty intersection of emasculation, dehumanization and abjectification that links mental illness (depression and alcoholism) to obesity and othering that is implicitly about not ‘manning up.’ That’s how it read to me.

The only mitigating factors were

the interactions with Frigga injected some compassion, acknowledging how rough his life had been

he can still wield Mjolnir

he didn’t magically get ripped again for the fight

But it was still played for laughs and not laughs with him but at him and the only reason I can see why they felt it was necessary other than straight up cruel fatphobia is that with Gamora not having memories of Quill and Thor going with them at the end, they wanted a plausible reason why Thor wouldn’t be the guy they’ll inevitably pair her with bc heaven forbid she be single. After all as Nebula said ‘it was [Quill] or a tree.’ No other options, right? So since apparently Thor will be with them in the next film, I wonder if this was about coming up with a reason why the guy all of them were drooling over suddenly isn’t the god of sex anymore, which carries again its own issues.

Anyhow. I know this didn’t hit everyone the way it did me and that’s fine. It left me with a bad taste in my mouth, despite my overall happiness with the film that is largely based in the Tony aspects.

TCOG or TCOV (aka Anthony, James, Prince and Gabriel)

Title: The Council of Glitches or The Council of Viruses (either one ya wanna call the four of them, TCOG or TCOV for short) I... had nothing super cool or unique but eh whatever its blunt n straightforward | Names: Anthony, James, Prince, Gabriel | Genders: Male | Species/Race: Glitch/Virus | Ages: All unknown | Heights: Anthony is 100ft, James is 110ft, Prince is 99ft (he's only a bit shorter than Anthony, I was gonna make him the tallest but eh, its too expected) annd finally, Gabriel is 120ft (he is the tallest of the bunch and is d a m n proud of it) | Hair Colors: Anthony's hair is a Bright Green (its obnoxiously bright, his hair is also pretty messy n poofy, he- he doesnt take care of it TOO much), James hair is Black (his hair is slicked back and he seems to take DAMN good care of it as well), Prince's hair is a very soft light pastel yellow (Messy Undercut, his hair is v e r y curly as well), annd finally, Gabriel's hair is a mixture of Black to a Fiery Red sorta color (that's the best way I can explain it also its in the style of: Mid Fade + Layered Fringe) | Eye Colors: Anthony's eyes are a Bright Green (im just gonna say it right now, all of their pupils are normal except Gabriel's which are slit BUT, their pupils can change colors depending on their moods (like you know the basic colors that symbolize each emotion) oh and as a bonus, they can also turn them into symbols if they so want or depending on the situation, their tears are also colorful but the more distressed and upset they all become, the more their tears static out until it SOUNDS like static) James' eyes are a Taupe color (its a dark shade of brown n such), Prince's eyes are a bumblebee color (that looked the best to me n fitting), Gabriel has two different eye colors, one is pitch black, the other is a dark red. | Appearance: Anthony mostly wears outstanding clothing, bright colored clothes to be more precise, it doesn't matter if its a suit or normal comfortable clothing, so long as it captures everyone's attention and puts focus on himself, he doesn't have any scars surprisingly, he does have a short boxed beard (I will say him, James, and Gabriel have short boxed beards, Prince has a circle beard), James mostly wears the fanciest clothing, its all suits and tuxedos, not overly brightly colored unlike Anthony, he doesn't like bright colors or bright clothing but of course, he doesn't mind Anthony wearing them, if that's what makes him happiest, James has a few pixels out of places which is technically like a scar to them but he keeps it hidden most of the time. Prince wears a lot of soft, light colored hoodies/sweaters/turtlenecks, he loves that kind of clothing because its so warm and soft, if there's an important/formal event going on he will wear a suit but it can't be an overly bright or really dark colored one, he doesn't... like either of those, soft pastel colors are more his style, he has no scars which he would if he had ever gotten a chance to be apart of any of the serious fights (but they didn't let him, its not because they think he's weak of course.) annd finally, Gabriel's clothing style is punk, his shirts are usually black, his pants are punk-style with chains hanging off them, and he wears combats boots, he has MANY scars and pixels missing from his body, his most prominent scars include: A scar over his right eye, and pixels missing from his arms and legs. But to the rest of his race or humans? N o p e, y'all are dead motherfuckers, or your gonna be tortured by him) | Side Facts: Their not brothers, their not "partners in crime" t h e i r in a p o l y relationship, yep! they ALL love each other very much, they have from the very beginning, the first time they all had met, things were awkward, it was weird... but over time... They grew close with each other, they... They all loved each other, and they knew they were destined to rule over the virtual world and of course eventually the real one so, if their going to rule all the worlds... Then they are going to do it together and thems the facts. (so p much despite literally ALL their differences, they were made for each other, even if it was awkward or weird at first, they eventually grew attached to each other) They technically ARE kinda like kings or whatever, but they are ALSO a council, they are responsible for pretty much EVERYTHING over the virtual world, they all have roles to play, some of them do things that the other can't or isn't able to do, etc- (kinda like how James takes care of the armies, he sends them out to take over or something, etc) Anthony usually handles formal events or getting the meetings together, its surprising coming from him but he manages it, Gabriel... oh boy, he- he doesn't have a SPECIFIC set role, honestly, Gabriel does what Gabriel wants UNLESS his partners don't want him to then he won't but he's not happy about it, Prince... he's honestly the best one you could get sent to or the best one to even find you or whatever.

63. favorite fairy type

OK I HAVE TWO!!!! fairy types are one of my favorite types EVER and im so glad theyre a thing..i always thought some pokemon were meant to be more than normal types bc they had this!! sweet, airy aura around them and fairy is a great type to represent that :DD i also really love their battle stats!!! as in fairy types weaknesses and strengths bc i remember seeing someone explain how they all fit common fairy tale tropes and it got me really excited abt them hvjfhvf

OK SO!!! im gonna start with a more common one!!! which is sylveon!!! trans rights pokemon..

a bunch of ppl say that i remind them of sylveon which makes me so happy bc sylveon is one of my all time faves!!! after xy, all my main teams have had a sylveon in them hehe..i really like how u have to play w them in pokemon amie for them to evolve bc!!! pokemon amie is one of my favorite parts of pkmn..their color scheme is also SO pretty..i love pastels and im so glad theyre the same color as the trans flag!!!! i know it probably wasnt done on purpose but it still makes me really happy :') i have always felt very connected to the eeveelutions and a fairy type eeveelution coming out made me like them even more!!!! :D sylveon is one of the top nicocore pkmn and i just had to include them vhfjhvf

and the other one is!!! mimikyu!!!

mimikyu ALSO has one of the fanciest typings in the entire game..ive probably said this hundreds of times but ghost types have always been one of my top favorite types as well!!! a ghost/fairy combination is SO cool and it honestly says a lot abt mimikyu as a pokemon!!! no other pokemon has that same typing and honestly that just makes them even more special..i love their concept sm and i am ALWAYS ready to adopt all mimikyus and shower them with love bc theyre all so amazing...

75. a pokemon that you feel is overrated

HMM..i dont think theres any..LIKE sure there r some very popular pokemon such as!! pikachu and charizard and mewtwo and maybe lucario but!!! honestly!!! ppl like them bc they think theyre cool or bc of nostalgia or many other factors and im very glad they can get so much love bc they really deserve it!!! sometimes ppl use their love for those pokemon to make fun/hate on other pokemon and that makes me really sad but the pokemon themselves are so good..!! i wish all pokemon had as many fans as the most popular ones but since thats probably impossible its my duty to love them all even more!!!! :DD

78. least favorite eeveelution

AH the least favorite questions r always the hardest..i have always felt very close to the eeveelutions so i think this one is even more difficult..!! when i watched the pokemon anime episode abt the eevee brothers i felt very connected to eevee as a pokemon and also the concept of one pokemon having many evolutions!!! reading pokespe made me like that even more..red (one of the rgb arc protagonists) had an eevee who was experimented on by team rocket and could willingly evolve into any of the first three gen 1 eeveelutions!! red eventually evolved him into an espeon (which is very symbolic to me tbh bc an eevee can only evolve into espeon when they have a very high friendship w their trainer!!!) but getting to know vee (his eevee) made me relate to them even more..

i dont think i have a..least favorite eeveelution bc theyre all my faves honestly but!! i feel really connected to sylveon, leafeon, and glaceon since they have three of my four top favorite types!! the rest are still my faves but ig i just dont feel the same bond to them? i love them very much tho its just a bit different!!!

Elrick and Logan bicker like a pair of children, but it is very rarely anything serious or worth mentioning. Roderick is quite the little sniper, but Lukhan is generally too easy-going to fight back; when they do argue, it’s likely about Roderick’s treatment of other people.

Who is most likely to carry the other?

Elrick has definitely carried Logan multiple times in their youth when the latter has been too drunk to walk. Lukhan could quite literally pick up Roderick one-handed.

What is their favorite feature of their partner’s?

Only from the perspective of my boys - either E’s eyes or his lopsided smile. As for Lukhan, Roderick’s weak for his whole fuckin business

What’s the first thing that changes when they realize they have feelings for the other?

Very little changed for E & L, mainly because Logan was still fiercely closeted and would be for a couple more years (until being outed and kicked out). Actually, the first thing that changed for Logan was an intense crisis of faith, the entirety of which was conducted beneath a veneer of indifference. It’s one thing to suspect you might find men attractive in an aesthetic way; it’s entirely another to actually kiss one and enjoy it so fucking much. It took him a long time to quantify his attraction to Elrick with the after-effects of strict childhood Catholicism, even though he had long since considered himself atheist.

As for Roderick, the first time he spotted Lukhan he fell off the running machine and then had to go and have three espresso shots one after the other so you tell me. Realistically, though, his subsequent feelings for Lukhan are the first real stirrings of attraction he’s ever felt. An entirely new scope of emotion suddenly pings open in front of him and it’s like ... a lot to deal with at 2pm on a Wednesday, to be honest.

Elrick and Roderick; Elrick because he’s food-orientated, Roderick because he just picks the direct opposite of what he himself would eat and it’s generally correct.

Pretty equal for E & L these days, although Elrick probably wins by a small margin. Lukhan has to initiate kisses because Roderick can’t reach.

E & L aren’t really the hand-holdy type, to be quite honest - if they’re going to touch, it’s more arm-around-the-shoulders/waist. Roderick would be receptive to hand-holding (even though he’d complain about it, to keep up appearances, you understand), but would never initiate himself.

Who kisses the hardest?

Logan’s got a lot of Repressed Sexuality to catch up on, cut him some slack. Roderick would love to, if you could kindly get him a step-ladder.

Who says I love you first?

probably Elrick, definitely Lukhan.

Who tells their family/friends about their relationship first?

Elrick, because his family is decent and wouldn’t disown their son for being a Gay. Although actually, strictly speaking Kat knows about their relationship before anyone else does, so I guess it’d be Logan. Roderick’s parents are dead and he doesn’t have any friends, so Lukhan wins by default.

What do their family/friends think of their relationship?

Logan’s family pretend it doesn’t exist. In time, his mother will come to display a sort of grudging acceptance, but she will never cease to impart microaggressions; his father will never be anything but explicitly, venomously homophobic, and doesn’t even acknowledge Elrick’s existence. Kat, on the other hand, soon gets over her dislike of Elrick and accepts him as a surrogate brother, which obviously gives her the right to punch him in the head with wild abandon.

Again, Roderick is literally a one-man-band in this world, so this is one problem he doesn’t have to concern himself with.

Who cooks more/who is better at cooking?

Elrick and Roderick, except Roderick only cooks healthy superfoods and therefore it’s gross by default. Logan literally cannot function without a microwave and im pretty sure Lukhan eats his food raw off the floor.

Who comes up with cheesy pick up lines?

Literally the only one of the four who might even vaguely consider doing this is Lukhan, and the annoying thing is he kind of makes them work. Roderick hates it and professes to wish he was dead, whilst at the same time secretly feeling a little faint

Who needs more assurance?

Logan only requires it when his family are involved because they’re a literal nightmare. Roderick, oddly enough, needs more assurance than one would think - it’s partially why he falls for Lukhan against his better judgement. Having lost his parents quite young and then subsequently entering into a very cut-throat business world, he never really received much reassurance and had to learn to get by without it. Coming from Lukhan, it quite wrong-foots him at first.

One headcanon about this OTP that breaks your heart

Logan will never live to a particularly old age. That’s always been a factor of his life, headcanon-wise. Probably 60, maybe 70 at a push, but certainly not far beyond that. Elrick’s inevitably going to be left behind.

Roderick is liable to lose Lukhan to his own reticence and selfishness - it takes him a very long time to appreciate what he has, and it’s probably longer than a lot of people are willing to wait. If Lukhan decides he’s had enough, he has quite literally nobody to blame but himself.

One headcanon about this OTP that mends it

ok honestly the entirety of E & L as a whole mends my fuckin heart. they are my boys. theyve been through Hell and back in quite literally more incarnations than i can actually recall, and they always manage to pull it together one way or another. my dumbass fags.

As for Roderick, he sorts himself out in time. He starts off his character arc as thoroughly unpleasant, but Lukhan makes him a better, calmer, kinder person - and being able to apply the word ‘kind’ to Roderick Crowley in any capacity whatsoever is a dramatic achievement. It takes him almost three years to tell Lukhan he loves him, but it all finally begins to fall into place when he does.
