Why? Because nobody else would draw it, I'm taking things into my own hands. 😤
Btw it's a revisit because I have done this before, it's just not posted here pfffttt.
By now you must have realized that I'm a creature of pure self indulgence :D. Good. I don't want anyone having their expectations crushed when I draw what I want when I want, consider this a warning :).

Ask
How does Lisanna along with Mirajane and Erza reveal to Natsu that they are pregnant?
Lisanna would tell him simply, Mirajane will hand him a gift made for newly father and let his mind connect the dots, and Erza will walk up to him in a wedding dress and tell him the new of his fatherhood and imminent marriage with her as Natsu Scarlet.

@ironshadcw (from this)
"I'd offer to rub yer back but I ain't sure I could at the moment,"
He'd watch as she pulled the blanket off, smiling as he saw more of her cute belly. He was so proud but he knew it was draining on her and THAT was one of the main reasons he was so anxious. He was worried that something was going to go wrong and he'd be left with the last piece of Ravyn if that happened. He knew it wouldn't, because she was strong, but this was literally the first known child being born between a normal wizard and a Dragon like he was.
"We can go for a walk if ya want. I'll be there for ya to lean on, or ya can just hold my hand. I'm good with either."
He knew she was capable of walking by herself, of course, but with how far along she was now he worried that if her water broke and she was alone then he'd lose both of them. He didn't want to lose EITHER of them. No way in hell. He'd suffered enough loss already he couldn't handle something like that. It would literally kill him.
"Wanna head to the guild? I'm sure there're those who miss ya there."
Everyone was anticipating their child, mostly because he or she was going to be the first of the next generation of Fairy Tail. Even if the little one didn't wind up a member, they would still be born there.
"Do I gotta have words with the 'lil one 'gain? We had that discussion a couple months ago... Guess they're just gettin' ready to meet us."
He'd read that babies moved around the last few days until they settled, and the feet were always below the ribcage when that happened. It made for the birthing process going smoother. He was honestly worried about the SIZE of their child though. Would they be a large baby? Or an average sized one?

In D&D, Kobolds are... almost elementally spawned near dragon lairs-
I like the idea of more things working that way- like goblins just being created under rocks near giant lairs-
or in this case, kelpies are their own thing- but some spawn near a knucker's stomping grounds! (a knucker is an old european water spirit/water dragon)
[Cursive Reads; "While Knuckers often seduce Kelpies in the spring; their controlling nature drives off the mated nyads by summer."]

This was requested on AO3 by ccnchas.
It's about time I get a LoLu request! I have been dying to write something for these two! I love LoLu! ZerLu may be the ship that led to me getting into Fairy Tail, but LoLu was my first ship since watching the show. It's no longer my OTP, but I still love it nonetheless. I love their Princess x Knight dynamic! There are not enough LoLu fics and I would be more than happy to provide some. A romance between the two of them would likely be forbidden, but they would still make a really good couple, I think. I love this ship a lot!
I hope you enjoy!
A Lion's Pride (Loke x Lucy)
"Iris! Eros! Come to eat your sandwiches!"
Loke stood in the shade of a tree, his arms crossed over his chest and leaning against the trunk of the tree. A fond smile stretched across his face as he watched his wife sit on a picnic blanket with a basket next to her. A pair of seven-year-old twins, both auburn-haired and brown-eyed, ran to their mother. One twin, a boy, had Plue in his arms while the other twin, a girl, had a doll clutched in his grip. The two children sat in front of their mother and began eating the food that had been packed for them, resting before they resumed their play in the surprisingly empty park.
A silent sigh escaped Loke as he watched his family, his pride. He remembered the day he married Lucy like it was yesterday. The journey to that point wasn't short. He chuckled internally when he recalled how long it had taken him to get Lucy to agree to date him. Loads of flowers, mountains of chocolate-covered strawberries, hundreds of love letters, and countless promises to never flirt with another woman again. For three years he pursued his wizard, but it was all worth it, in his opinion, because Lucy had finally agreed to a date. And it was an amazing date.
They dated for a few years, trying to survive Mira. They watched as Natsu married Lisanna, Gray married Juvia, Erza married Jellal, and Gajeel married Levy. It made Loke yearn for the same thing. He had spent several months watching Lucy closely every time the prospect of marriage, wondering if that was something she wanted. Eventually, he finally decided that he would ask her. When Lucy told him that she had dreamed of getting married since she was a child, the first thing he did was get the biggest diamond ring that he could find.
The sound of Lucy screaming "yes" was the best sound he would ever hear. Tears trickled down both of their faces as they kissed, hugged, and professed their love for each other multiple times. Their wedding had followed just a few months later, courtesy of Mira, with Natsu as Loke's best man, Levy as Lucy's maid of honor, Aquarius walking Lucy down the aisle, and Makarov officiating the couple's marriage.
Two years later, the best day of both of their lives arrived. After fifty hours of painful labor and crushing worry, as well as a nearly broken hand on Loke's side, a pair of twins were born as the sun rose above the horizon. First, a girl. Twenty minutes later, a boy. The names of their children weren't difficult to pick. There were only two names that could fit the small angels they were gazing down at lovingly.
Iris and Eros.
As time went by, Loke spent as much time as he possibly could with his family, to the point that he was in Earth Land more than he was in the Celestial Spirit World. He didn't mind this, though. All he wanted to do was spend time with his wife and children.
Loke pushed off of the tree he was leaning against and walked toward the picnic spot, calling out as he got closer, "I'm here!"
Iris and Eros whipped their heads up to look at him before they threw their sandwiches onto a couple of plates and ran to the celestial spirit, yelling joyfully in unison, "Papa!"
Loke laughed and kneeled on one knee as he opened his arms wide to accept a hug from his twins. Iris and Eros soon pulled away and pulled their father over to the picnic blanket, both telling him about what they had been doing all day. Their chatter came to a stop when Lucy spoke, "Iris. Eros. Finish eating and then you can play with Papa." The twins obeyed, diving back into their food.
Once finished, they jumped up and ran off, wanting to continue playing as they urged their father to join them. Loke chuckled and answered the pair, "give me a moment. I want to talk to Mamma."
When the twins ran off, he turned to his wife and leaned forward to kiss her a few times. Lucy placed a hand on his chest and gently pushed him away, muttering when their lips were now only an inch away, "you're late."
Loke smiled, pecking another kiss to her lips before he responded, "sorry, I got into a fight with Aquarius."
Lucy chuckled at that. The couple kissed a few more times. When they pulled away, the celestial wizard leaned into Loke's embrace, giving a contented sigh as her husband wrapped an arm around her. Loke reached his other hand toward her, rubbing gentle circles on the small, but noticeable bump in her belly.
He asked with a hushed voice, "do we know the gender yet?"
Lucy answered, her voice just as low as his, "I was hoping we could wait until the baby is born."
Loke nodded, telling her that he was perfectly fine with that. He then questioned, "any name ideas?"
Lucy snuggled closer to her husband, answering, "I was thinking Medea if it's a girl."
Loke thought about the name, quickly deciding that he loved it. He then looked back down at his expecting wife to question, "and if it's a boy?"
Lucy shrugged, responding, "I was thinking you could pick one."
Loke gave a slight chuckle before he took a few moments to think of a boy's name that he liked. It didn't take him long to come up with something. "How about Damon?"
Lucy nodded as she mumbled, "I love that name."
Loke tightened his hold on Lucy, just slightly, as he looked back at his other two children playing with Aries, who had been summoned by one of the twins. The soft smile on his face got bigger as he soaked in the peaceful moment.
This was all he needed. A day at the park with his pride. He couldn't think of a more perfect way to have family time.

“ Natsu, I’m fine. I promise. I just want to get out of the house” / Natsu
Random Shit
He was BOUND to fuss over her. Not because he didn't think she was capable of taking care of herself and the cargo she was carrying, but because Gajeel had ENTRUSTED her safety and that of their yet to be born child to the younger Dragon. He was surprisingly understanding (or, well, surprisingly to anyone who didn't KNOW HIM). He knew she got stir crazy. Gajeel wouldn't get mad as long as the younger Dragon accompanied her.
"Okay, but I have to go with you. Alright? I need to make sure you're okay and if you get tired I'll be there to help you get somewhere to sit. Have any idea about where you'd like to go?"
He was willing to go with her wherever she wanted to go. Gajeel had made sure to tell him NOT to argue with her unless she was being completely unreasonable but that'd not happened a single time yet. She was really easy to get along with and talk to. She also seemed to like his company for some reason or another but he wasn't thinking about that.
"I should make sure to bring something to drink for you in case you wind up needing it."
He'd pull out a small piece of paper before tucking it back into his pocket just as quickly as he'd pulled it out. He wasn't sure if she was having any 'odd' cravings, and one of the main reasons he was usually with her (unless he was sent on the same job as Gajeel), was because he was a Dragon too. He'd notice if anything was off at any point.
"Would you like me to grab you anything to snack on? I'm sure Gajeel left something you like to nibble on that I can grab."

“I know he has a scalpel in his bag,” Baela says, meaning Aemond. You are sitting with her on the front steps of a two-story house—1970s construction, split foyer, pale blue siding and rust-red bricks—on Trux Street in Plymouth, Ohio. This town was named for the place where the pilgrims stepped off the Mayflower over four hundred years ago, pioneers who crossed through the doorway of an unfathomably changing world to die of disease, cold, accidents, starvation, violence. You wonder if you are so unlike them. “He’s assisted with c-sections before, if it comes to that. And he has needles and surgical thread. But he doesn’t have any way to anesthetize me.”
Luke and Rhaena are on the roof of the silver Chrysler Pacifica parked at the end of the driveway and surveilling the road. Everyone else is inside tearing the house apart as they try to find the keys. You don’t know what to say to Baela. There is no way to console her except by lying, and she’s too smart for that. “How far along are you?”
“I don’t even know.” She laughs like she’s on the verge of losing her mind. You don’t blame her. “The doctors calculate it based on the date of your last period, but mine was all over the place. I had tried a few different birth control pills and had all these side effects, weird spotting and cramping, no sex drive, feeling depressed, so I just figured I’d go all natural for six months and give my body a chance to reset. And we all know how that turned out.” She skims her palms over the globe of her belly, hidden beneath the flowing periwinkle cotton of a maternity dress she found at the Walmart back in Shenandoah. “I’m officially due in four weeks.”
“But it could happen at any time.”
Baela nods miserably. “My mum had me and Rhaena the…you know…the natural way, and it was smooth sailing. But she needed an emergency c-section with my little brother. What happens if that’s how it goes for me? Do you ever think about all the ways people can die now? It’s not just the zombies. I could get murdered, or fall and crack my skull open, or get a cut that turns septic, or rupture my appendix, or get frostbite or heatstroke, or get bitten by a snake. It never ends. We’ll be balancing on the knife’s edge for the rest of our lives.”
You wish you were better with words; you wish you were someone who spoke effortlessly like Rio or Aegon. You reply with the only thing you can think of. “Humans have survived for hundreds of thousands of years, and for the vast majority of that time with no modern medicine. It was dangerous, and it was painful. But there have always been people who made it. We wouldn’t exist otherwise.”
Remarkably, this seems to help. “I know Aemond will do everything he can for me,” Baela says, more steadily now. “He’s always been the most dependable one. So serious, so protective. Daeron was visiting us in Boston when everything shut down, and Aemond wouldn’t let the kid out of his sight for weeks…then Aemond almost died when he lost his eye and Daeron proved he could take care of himself with his compound bow.” Baela unwraps a Twizzler and takes a bite out of it, gazing vacantly at the sky, calm and overcast now that the storm has passed, breezy, mid-80s. She doesn’t even like them, but she’s been eating through a pack of Twizzlers Luke had been carrying in his backpack for Jace, slow mindless chewing like a cow’s. “Aemond feels responsible for you now. And that’s difficult when there’s so little control he actually has over what ends up happening.”
“Baela…I’m so sorry about Jace.”
“Drowning isn’t so bad, I guess. I hope he drowned. I hope he was dead before he washed ashore and they ate him.” Baela turns to you, eyes glazed. “Do you think we should have shot him before we left the river? To make sure he didn’t die in pain? You could have done it if you wanted to. Your aim is good enough.”
“No,” you say, horrified but trying to soften it. “I think that would have been…immoral.”
“I don’t even have a picture of Jace to show the baby, everything was online or on my phone, and now that’s all…gone. Just gone. Like he never even existed. How am I going to explain to my child what Boston was, or law school, or aerospace engineering, or grocery stores or shopping malls or Instagram, or anything else about our lives before this whole fucking disaster? All they’ll ever know is running from monsters, scrounging for shelter and supplies from the ruins of civilization.”
“The world is going to come back, Baela. Maybe not for five or ten years, and maybe looking a lot different than it did before, but humanity will recover. The Black Death wasn’t the end, and neither were the World Wars or the Mongol invasions or the colonization of the Americas, or famines or floods or volcanic eruptions. The zombies won’t end us either.”
“Do you really believe that?”
I want to. “Yeah, I do. We just have to hold on until the tide turns. We can’t give up.”
“In that case, I’ll try not to go completely insane in the immediate future. Thank God Rhaena and Luke are still here. Do you have any siblings?”
You smile vaguely. “Four.”
“Wow,” Baela says. “Do you know where they are now?”
There is an interruption before you have to decide how to answer: a roaring high above in the sky, a remote mechanical growling. You and Baela both look up to see a jet zooming by, just below the steel grey cloud cover and leaving a trail of condensation behind it like a comet’s tail of eons-old cosmic dust. From where he is perched atop the Pacifica, Luke is pointing at the jet to show Rhaena. Aemond, Rio, Aegon, and Daeron come rocketing out of the house to find the source of the noise. After a moment, Helaena moseys onto the front porch as well, tucking flashlights and napkins into her burlap messenger bag. Meanwhile, Aegon is filling his pockets with packs of Marlboro Golds and orange prescription bottles labelled Percocet.
“Is that an airplane?!” Aegon gasps. “People are flying again?! Oh, we are back, baby! We are so back! I’m catching the next flight to SFO, peace out bitches, no more Oregon Trail for me!”
“It’s a jet,” Aemond says flatly. “Not a passenger carrier. Probably military.”
“Doesn’t look like one of ours.” Rio turns to you for confirmation.
“No, I don’t recognize it.”
“Then who the fuck is up there?” Aegon says. “Canada? The U.K.?”
Rio sighs, ruffling Aegon’s already quite disheveled blonde hair. “Who knows, Honey Bun. Maybe it’s China or Russia swinging by to drop nukes on any survivors.”
“Fortunately, nobody’s going to waste a nuclear bomb on freaking Plymouth, Ohio,” Baela says, watching the jet vanish into the west, the droning of its engines replaced by the breeze through the sugar maples and sycamores, the screeching of cicadas and chirps of robins. “No luck finding the keys?”
Aemond frowns as he shakes his head, tapping his chin anxiously. He knows she can’t walk much farther.
“How do none of us know how to hotwire a car?” Aegon demands, exasperated.
Rio replies cheerfully: “Well, Chips and I have been diligently serving this glorious nation since we were eighteen years old, and you’re all clueless rich kids. So…I think that just about sums it up.”
“I need more arrows,” Daeron says, clutching his compound bow. All the ones he had are now speared through zombies along the river where Jace died. When you snuck away from the farm at dawn, Luke used his binoculars to check the shores; they were still swamped with zombies, even more than the night before. They are pack animals; alone, they are aimless and easily confounded, their memories calamitously short. As part of a group—if they were crows they’d be a murder, if they were camels they’d be a caravan—zombies attract and guide each other, moving symbiotically like planets and moons locked in orbit.
“I think you’re going to have to start making them the old fashioned way, kid,” Rio tells Daeron, accompanied by a rough pat of encouragement on the back.
“What, like with sticks?!”
“Yeah. Use a knife to carve one end to make it pointy and you’re good to go.”
“Love it. Very pioneer.” Aegon holds up a Sony Walkman, pink and covered with Disney stickers, Ava spelled out across the top in glittering rhinestones. “At least I found this. Helaena, do we have any more AA batteries?” She fishes around in her bag and hands him a pair.
Baela gapes at him, but she’s smiling. It’s horrible, it’s absurd, it’s something you can’t help but find a macabre humor in. “Aegon, you cannot use that poor eaten kid’s CD player. You know it’s haunted.”
Aegon sings like a jingle from a commercial: “Little Ava died, RIP. Now I get to listen to my CDs.”
“Oh, that is so fucked up!” Rio cackles.
You say, grinning: “Aegon, I’m really going to miss you when we’re all in heaven at the bowling alley made of clouds and you’re downstairs in the fiery version of the afterlife.”
“Don’t feel bad for me, Chipmunk. You’re the one who’s going to die without ever having an orgasm.”
“You don’t need a man for that, Aegon,” Baela says.
“You definitely don’t,” you agree. Aemond glances over at you, intrigued. You stare dauntlessly back. What? You said you weren’t interested. The corners of his lips curl up in a reticent smile; he looks down to try to hide it. He’s touching his chin again. His cheeks flush pink as his mind wanders.
Rio chuckles. “Oh yeah, I remember your little experimenting phase. Lots of trips to the Spencer’s in the Tysons Corner mall when we were stationed at Anacostia.”
You raise your eyebrows, though you’re not annoyed. “I thought you were never going to tell anybody about that.”
“It’s the end of the world, baby. No time to be shy.” Then Rio asks Aemond: “Since we’re here and it’s quiet, you want to go ahead and check every house that has a car with the fuel cap still closed? There are some minivans and SUVs down at the other end of the street. Even a few gallons of gas will take us farther than days on foot.”
Aegon adds, checking his map: “A half tank would get us all the way to Decatur, Indiana.”
“Yeah, let’s do it,” Aemond says. He offers Baela a hand and helps lift her to her feet. “You guys go ahead, I’ll meet you down at the driveway with the black…what is that, a Honda Odyssey? You know the one, the van in front of the yellow house. Don’t go inside until I get there.”
“Yup!” Aegon agrees as he speeds off, racing Daeron to the house. Rio—not one for sprinting—jogs after them with his Remington in hand, ready to bash rotting skulls in at a moment’s notice. Baela toddles down to the Pacifica to tell Luke and Rhaena the plan, her periwinkle dress billowing in the wind; then they climb down to walk with her. Helaena floats across the sidewalk like a ghost, pausing to pick buttercups that grow up between the cracks in the cement.
Aemond has been waiting until the two of you are alone. “Can I ask you something?”
“Yeah, sure.” A few houses down, a female zombie—early-twenties, white bikini top, red Ohio State shorts—staggers across the yard and in her attempt to snag Aegon falls and impales herself on the white picket fence. She is suspended there, clawing and yowling, her blackening intestines and dark clotted blood staining the wood. Aegon takes his time getting into a stance and swings his golf club like he’s at a driving range. He hits her dead-on, caves the front of her face in, takes a few more shots just to be sure.
“I get what’s in Oregon for Rio,” Aemond says. “Sophie, the baby, his parents. But why are you going there?”
“Rio’s my best friend. He might be my only friend who’s still alive. And when we left Saratoga Springs, he made me promise that I wouldn’t let him die alone. So before anything else, I have to make sure he gets to Odessa and finds his family. And then I can figure out what’s next for me. But if it really is safe there, I don’t see why I’d leave. I’ve never wanted to be on my own. Maybe I can end up having a family in Oregon too.”
Aemond rests his elbows on the porch railing. He’s teasing you. “We’re friends, aren’t we? I’m still alive.”
You tease him back. He deserves it. “I’m not sure about you and me.”
“I’d like for us to be friends.”
“Would you?”
“Resoundingly.”
“Maybe I’ll give it a try.”
He considers you. “You know, Kentucky might have been a good place for you to hide out. And it would be a lot closer than Oregon.”
You stand up, throwing on your backpack full of bullets for your Beretta M9s, beef jerky and peanut butter crackers and granola bars, lip balm, bottles of water, Kleenex tissues, Juicy Fruit, miscellaneous treasures from the road, practically worthless trinkets made so impossibly valuable. “We’re done here, right?”
Aemond is disappointed, though not with you. He has committed an error he cannot understand. “Yeah, we’re done.” He walks with you to the yellow house, your sneakers pounding in tandem on the sidewalk, squirrels and rabbits darting through the overgrown lawns, eastern tiger swallowtails swooping between blossoms.
Aegon says when you and Aemond arrive in the driveway, nodding to the once-attractive blonde zombie pawing and licking at the glass of the living room window: “Who wants to take care of Ryan Seacrest?”
“Got it,” Rio replies immediately. He kicks down the front door, macerates the zombie’s skull with the butt of his Remington, then sweeps through the kitchen and dining room searching for any other monsters in need of hasty euthanasia. He doesn’t find any. He drags the corpse outside to lessen the stench of decomposition and opens all the downstairs windows.
“Commence Operation Find The Minivan Keys,” Aegon says as he rummages through drawers and cabinets. Helaena joins him, seeking so delicately she is almost soundless, her large blue eyes flicking from place to place. Luke, Rhaena, and Daeron stay outside to keep watch. Baela collapses into a recliner in one corner of the living room and is dozing within seconds.
“I’ll clear the upstairs,” Aemond volunteers, then asks you: “Watch my blind side?”
You can’t help but smile; it is a generous invitation. It is an honor. You shadow him up the staircase of olive green carpet, through the hallway, into each of the three bedrooms and one full bath. When you are certain it is safe—exploring the back of every closet, under every bed—you and Aemond begin searching for weapons and car keys. The main bedroom is like a forest: blankets pattered with trees and deer, wood furniture, paintings of the Battle of the Wilderness during the Civil War. You investigate every drawer of the nightstand and dresser, then go to leave.
“Wait.” Aemond peeks out into the hallway to make sure no one else is around, then closes the bedroom door. Your eyes track him quizzically, shy skittish optimism, your head tilted, your fingers finding the dresser behind you, cool rust-hued oak, a color like dried blood. You slip off your backpack. Then Aemond comes to you like a returning comet—once in a lifetime, once in an eon—and holds your face in his hands as he kisses you, soft, careful, unhurried, then turning famished, sweltering incurable hunger. You lift yourself up onto the dresser; your thighs have parted, and Aemond is between them, still fully clothed and leaving yours in place too, so innocent, so spotless, and yet in your mind you are imagining what it would feel like to lie beneath him as he opens and fills you, to be so irredeemably close to another person, to watch and listen as he teaches you what to do.
Right here? Right now?
It suddenly strikes you as too soon; you want this but you aren’t ready. Your heart races, you can’t catch your breath. “I am obligated to make you aware that according to your own calculations, I am likely dangerously fertile at the moment.”
Aemond grins as he bites playfully at your lower lip. “Relax. We’re not rounding all the bases this time.”
His voice evaporates your panic, lulls your rushing blood. Your muscles turn to seamless rippling water. Your bones crave the weight of his. “Yeah, totally, good, thats good. Just making sure.”
“I want to touch you. Can I touch you?”
In reply, you unbutton your denim shorts and pull down the zipper, slowly, very slowly, your gaze linked with his like torn flesh stitched together. He’s close enough to kiss you again, but he doesn’t; he takes your chin gently and turns your face to the side, admiring the curve of your jaw. Then his lips are on your throat and his right hand is skimming down the front of your shirt, over your belly, under your shorts. You gasp—the foreignness of another’s hand here, the disorienting vulnerability—and Aemond stops.
“No, I’m okay,” you assure him, smiling. You kiss him deeply, your fingertips tracing his scar, the work of his careful, gifted hands. Aemond does not flinch away. He presses his face into your palm, offering himself fully, taking shelter in you. And everything other than him—this house, this world, this age, this westward journey, this apocalypse—goes quiet, quiet, quiet, like when you are shooting, like when you are hammering nails under the sun. Aemond makes everything horrifying disappear. It is the greatest sort of magic you can imagine.
“So,” he says. “What did you buy at Spencer’s?”
“Green Day t-shirts.”
“Sure.”
“And some, uh, battery-powered companionship.”
“Hm.” Aemond’s fingers are moving against you; it is increasingly difficult to respond to his questions. “Internal or external? Or both?”
“Oh, definitely…um…I stayed on the outside, mostly. I tried…oh wow, okay…inside a few times, but I didn’t get much out of it. It was mostly just uncomfortable.”
“No problem. We’ll work up to that.”
“Will we?” You hope you don’t sound too desperate. The warm coiling pleasure is swelling, strengthening, begging to be released, loosed like an arrow or fired like a bullet. Aemond’s fingers slip through your wetness, circling and pressing down harder, insistently, masterfully. It feels different than using toys: it is more gradual, less sharp, helplessly overpowering.
“That’s my plan. If you’ll allow it.”
You exhale a threadbare ghost of a whimper against his throat and then reach for his shorts, fumbling blindly for the button and zipper.
“No, don’t do anything,” Aemond murmurs, soft and pleading, almost like a prayer. “Let me take care of you. Please let me feel like I’m doing something right.”
“You’re doing a lot right at the moment.” You’re close now, your breaths quick and panting. You throw your arms around the back of Aemond’s neck and fold into him, feeling the thudding pulse of his carotid artery beneath your fingertips, the softness of his lips and unscarred cheek as he nuzzles the side of your face. It’s so quiet, but there’s no need to fill the silence, no words, no uneasiness. You’ve always wondered what you would have to do to please a man, what premeditated motions and praises you would offer him, niceties, perhaps even lies. But this is effortless. The shimmering golden glow like sunlight is here, and he is the one drawing it out of you, water from a well, blood from a tapped vein. The only sound you make is a shuddering inhale, but Aemond knows immediately. He closes his eyes, relieved, proud, beaming, resting his forehead against yours.
He asks: “Can I try…?”
“Yes, do it, please, I want you to.”
Aemond’s hand shifts between your thighs, moves lower, and there is a sudden jolt of pain like a pinch, like a bite. You wince before you can think to disguise it. Immediately, Aemond retreats, kissing your lips and your cheeks. “It’s okay, it’s okay. You were incredible.”
You reach for his shorts again and unbutton them. “Show me what to do.”
“You don’t have to—”
“I know I don’t have to. I want to.”
He takes a shaky breath, drags his tongue over the fingers he touched you with, moans so quietly you can barely hear him. He frees himself from his clothes: long and thick, harder than you believed flesh could be. Aemond grasps your hand and places it, demonstrates how to move and how much pressure to apply. Then his own hands drop to grip the edge of the dresser as you stroke him. You nip at his throat, his jaw, the shell of his ear; you coax euphoric sighs from him, feel a high in your bloodstream like something illicit and lethal.
“I’ll be honest,” you say. “I have no idea how that’s ever going to fit inside me.”
Aemond chuckles, distracted. “Women stretch, just like men do. It might take time, but it will happen. And I’ll make sure it’s as good as it can be.”
“I want it to be you, Aemond,” you whisper, and you can feel him throbbing in your hand. “You and no one else. Teach me how to do everything.” Make the world go away.
He gasps as he finishes, a thunderous trembling all over, a gush of white heat that flows over your hand. Curious, you lift it to your mouth. “Don’t—!”
But he’s too late; you lick him from your palm and then recoil at the taste, pungent, bitter, salty.
Aemond laughs hysterically, kissing your mouth and then your forehead. “Oh God, I’m sorry, I should have warned you.”
“I hope I taste better than that.”
“You definitely do.”
You peer up at him, dazed, dreamy. “I really like you, Aemond.”
“You can’t fall in love with me.” It is a taunt; it is a warning.
“If I do, I won’t let you know,” you promise. “You’re on first watch tonight, aren’t you?”
“I am.”
“Then I’ll stay up too.”
“Rio already volunteered to do it.”
“Really, I don’t mind.”
“No,” Aemond purrs, brushing your hair back from your face, marveling at you. “I can’t have you sleep deprived. You’re our best shot.”
“I can handle it.”
“You want to be honest with each other, you want to communicate? I like knowing you’re rested. I like knowing you’re safe.”
The door flies open with a bang; Aegon stands in the threshold. “We’ve got three-quarters of a tank of gas!” he announces ecstatically, jangling car keys in the air. Then he registers what he’s looking at. “Come outside when you’re done fucking.” Aegon slams the door shut; you hear his Sperry Bahama sneakers drumming on the staircase.
“I guess we should go,” you say reluctantly, untangling yourself from Aemond and sliding down from the dresser.
“Wait.” He gets a water bottle out of your backpack, soaks a handful of Kleenex tissues, and gives them to you to clean yourself off. When you’re done, he wipes himself down too. “Make sure you always take a piss after any…activities. We don’t have antibiotics if you get a kidney infection.”
“I know, doctor. I’ve read Reddit threads.”
“Not a doctor. Just a lowly intern.”
“You seem like an anatomy expert to me,” you say, then head downstairs.
The black Honda Odyssey is idling as the last of the supplies are loaded, the windows down, Baela adjusting the driver’s seat so she can accommodate her belly. Everyone piles inside and she steers the minivan out of the driveway and onto Trux Street. Aegon pops one of his mixtapes into the CD player. The song that pipes through the speakers is Prayer In C:
“Yeah, you never said a word
You didn’t send me no letter
Don’t think I could forgive you…”
“So,” Baela says casually, grinning at you in the rearview mirror. “How was the sex?”
“Stop,” Aemond begs, his face going red, smiling involuntarily.
You say placidly: “I appreciate your interest, but that’s not what we were doing.”
Rio turns to Aegon. “Do you know what sex looks like or not, dumbass?”
“They were doing something, okay! Those were not virginal activities!”
“See, our world is slowly dying
I’m not wasting no more time
Don’t think I could believe you…”
You rest your head on Aemond’s shoulder and watch the abandoned houses pass by in a blur.
~~~~~~~~~~
The Odyssey arrives in Decatur, Indiana just a few hours before sunset, gas to spare and plenty of time to find a safe place to spend the night. You break into a house on the outskirts of the west side of the city: a rancher with a screened-in porch, beach décor, bowls of seashells on tables and spray-painted aluminum dolphins on the wall. Baela plummets into sleep immediately, sharing the largest bed with Rhaena and Luke. Helaena writes in her spider notebook for a while before curling up on the living room couch, Daeron sprawled on the floor beside her with a couch cushion for a pillow. Aegon is in what was once a child’s bedroom; you have the bedroom of a teenage girl, perhaps spirited away to friends or relatives in some other part of the country, perhaps dead, perhaps lurching around out in the night somewhere, mad and murderous. Everything is purple, the walls, the blankets, the stuffed animals that form a mountain on the other half of the bed.
You are exhausted, but you can’t sleep. Your thoughts won’t stop racing, stop craving. Aemond and Rio are in rocking chairs out on the porch, keeping watch and working their way through the case of Sunny D they found in the kitchen pantry. You go out to join them, then stop at the screen door that separates the linoleum-floored dining room from the porch. They are discussing you. You sit, legs crossed, listening in the dim silvery light, stars and moon and nothing else.
Aemond is saying: “She doesn’t talk much about where she came from.”
Rio chuckles, a low baritone rumble. “She doesn’t talk much in general. But yeah, don’t expect any juicy revelations. That’s not how she does things.”
“Do you know what her life was like before?”
“I know some of it. I don’t know a lot.” Rio pauses; you can envision him shrugging and running his fingers through his dark curly hair, weighing what you would be okay with him sharing. “I know that when I met her, her mother was calling all the time telling her to send money home. And she’d do it, because she felt like she didn’t have a choice. Then she never had cash for drinks or anything, I was always paying her way, and one day I was finally like ‘Chips, how much do you actually have in your account right now?’ because I figured she must be down real low. Jesus Christ, I couldn’t believe it when she showed me the balance, she had like three bucks left until her next paycheck, and of course then her mother would be calling again. She sent tens of thousands of dollars home that disappeared, poof, gone, without a trace.”
Aemond sounds stunned. “What did they spend it on?”
“Who the fuck knows with those people. Lottery tickets and cigs, probably. Trips to Virginia Beach. Benny Hinn Bibles. And when she tried to hit the brakes, her mother and siblings got nasty, calling constantly and telling her how awful she was and that they were going to starve. I convinced her to stop picking up the phone, but it took forever. I think she knew by then she was going to have to cut them off if she didn’t want to end up back there, but she needed somebody to give her permission. That was my job. As far as I know, she hasn’t spoken to anyone from home in years. Hell, Sophie was her AOP.”
“AOP…?”
“Oh, sorry, Arrears of Pay. It’s the person you designate to get all your benefits if you die in the service. I guess she figured that if our base got bombed or our plane went down or something, at least it would end up with my family.”
Aemond is quiet, thirty seconds, a minute, maybe two. “Obviously my circumstances were a lot different. But I understand having to choose between other people’s expectations and yourself.”
“Why are you asking me all this?”
Another pause; silent thoughts under glimmering stars and the shrieks of short-lived summer cicadas. “She takes me out of this world for a while. She makes the guilt and the fear go quiet. I want to know everything about her.”
When Rio speaks, he is gentle, compassionate. “The hard truth is, the details aren’t my business. They aren’t yours either. When people enlist, they’re starting over. It’s a Get Out Of Jail Free card. It gets them away from home, but it also gets them away from whoever they were before.”
“She said something like that once. Back at Fort Indiantown Gap.”
“It’s a polite way of telling you to shut up.” You know from his voice that Rio is smiling. “If she wants to forget her old life, you have to let her. If you care about her, you’ll want her to be able to move on.”
“I care.”
“She likes you,” Rio says. “But you could still fuck it up. She’s good at finding reasons not to trust people.”
“It’s a bad way to live.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah. I know. I’m the same way.”
There is quiet now, only the sounds of Sunny D being slurped and cicadas screaming through the darkness. You have intruded enough. You stand and walk back down the hallway, then remember something Aegon said outside a Burger King in Pennsylvania. You go to his bedroom, illuminated by a flashlight pointed towards the ceiling, casting long deformed shadows.
Aegon is lying on his back with his head hanging upside down over the side of the bed—dinosaur blankets, bright red and blue pillows—puffing on a cigarette and listening to his new CD player, previously Ava’s, with both earbuds in. Then he spots you. Still upside down, Aegon hits the pause button on his CD player and says: “Hey, Microchip.”
“What did you mean about people pretending to love you?”
He smirks, shrugs, takes a lazy drag off his Marlboro Gold. “Every friend I’ve ever had has used me for money, mansions, yachts. Every girl I’ve ever fucked has wanted something in return. Mother prefers Daeron, Grandfather prefers Helaena, Criston prefers Aemond, and Father prefers his real estate empire and his model ships. Can you imagine loving a miniature replica of the Titanic more than your own children?”
“No,” you say, honestly and with heavy, gore-red pity. “You shouldn’t have to go back to people who make you feel that way. I wouldn’t.”
Aegon takes another drag as he watches you. “Aemond mentioned you’re from Kentucky.”
“I am.”
“But you won’t be returning.”
“No.”
Aegon nods, like you’ve answered an important question. “Aemond talks about you a lot. It’s cute. It doesn’t make me sick like when he was with Alys. Playing her games, breaking himself in half to follow her rules.”
You peer down at your fingernails, short and functional and unglamorous. You don’t want to hear about the older woman who was his lover, his obsession, his cure, his venom. She was poisonous to him, surely, and yet she was experienced where you are uninitiated and unversed, she had a PhD to compare with your high school diploma. Surely in those seven years he shared moments with her that were divine. Surely even a curse is woven from magic.
“Anyway.” Aegon rolls over, props himself up on his elbows, and extinguishes his cigarette in an empty plastic Sunny D bottle. “I have no particular affinity for my old life or the beach house in California, but that’s where Aemond is going. And I have to be where he is. I have to make sure he’s alright, you know?”
Yes, you do know; that’s how you feel about Rio. “What’s it like? That house up on a cliff all by itself?”
Aegon grins, like he’s caught you in a mouthwateringly compromising position. “Why? You thinking about visiting someday?”
“Just wondering.”
He squirms over to one side of the bed to make room for you, popping in an earbud. “Come listen with me.”
“What is it?”
“Just come over here!”
You cross the room and kick off your sneakers, climb onto the bed, lie down and take the other earbud that Aegon offers you. What you hear when you listen is Don McLean’s American Pie. “Oh, this is ancient.”
“It’s a classic. I wish I’d gotten to live through the 70s.”
“We’ll reinvent them when the world starts up again. Disco and lava lamps and shag carpets. We’ll shoot heroin and listen to vinyl records. Jimmy Carter can be president if he’s still alive.”
Aegon snickers, and then he sings along, hushed but surprisingly melodic, solemn, tender. He’s looking at you expectantly, eyebrows raised, nodding, beckoning for you to join him. You adamantly refuse. You don’t sing in front of anybody, not even Rio.
“I met a girl who sang the blues
And I asked her for some happy news
But she just smiled and turned away
I went down to the sacred store
Where I’d heard the music years before
But the man there said the music wouldn’t play…”
Aegon shoves your shoulder. “I could be dead tomorrow. Don’t ignore me.”
Self-consciously, but smiling a little bit, you begin to sing with him, so softly you can barely hear yourself. Aegon is beaming, small even white teeth beneath sparkling eyes, a murky cool blue like storm clouds, like the ocean, waves lapping at the shores of Diego Garcia, the Gulf of Tadjoura off the east coast of Djibouti, Corpus Christi Bay, places you once never knew existed.
“And in the streets, the children screamed
The lovers cried and the poets dreamed
But not a word was spoken
The church bells all were broken
And the three men I admire most
The Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost
They caught the last train for the coast
The day the music died.”
@ironshadcw asked: “ Come on! I don’t want to miss the train!” / pls she’s probably the one being slow lol runaway bride and groom . Hope this is okay since I couldn’t be on !
He'd chuckle softly at her words. They were making good time all things considered. He'd reach out and take her hand in one of his larger ones before squeezing it softly. He'd then link their fingers together and smile at her as they made their way toward the early train. Lily was flying just behind them. The Dragon hadn't mentioned that he and his flower were running away to get married but the guild would find out whenever they got the news from where the two were headed for it.
"Ya excited 'bout gettin' married, love?"
He most certainly was. He understood her not feeling attractive but to him she was still the most gorgeous person out there. Of course, she was his mate and soon to be wife. Very soon to be, even. It'd not taken very much convincing to get Lily to agree that it was the best course of action for them, so their little one was born to married parents. Not that had baby Redfox been born out of wedlock would have changed much. He or she would still be THEIR baby.
"I told ya we'd make it, I got us a private seating area too. It'll just be the three of us. If ya start feelin' unwell just curl into me okay?"
He'd taken his medicine for the train ride so he'd be fine for the duration but he wasn't sure how traveling via train would affect her given that she was pregnant, and the baby was his. He'd lift her hand and kiss her knuckles as the three of them got onto the train. They just needed to hope that none of the guildmates were on the same train. Given how EARLY it was he didn't expect there to be.
"Here's our seatin' cubby."
He'd open the door and let her and Lily go inside before stepping in and sliding the door shut behind them. The train was relatively empty all things considered but where they were going was more of a vacation spot rather than a working spot.
#ironshadcw#Verse. Fairy Tail#Ship. You are the one thing I'm living for Gajeel x Ravyn [ironshadcw]#pregnancy mention
Baby Girl
Natsu was never someone who would think deeply and far ahead of his life. He was more than content to live in the present, enjoying food, brawls and going on dangerous missions with his Fairy Tail family day by day.
But he did give some thoughts about the future during the dead of some nights, when he's brimming with too much restless energy to sleep and Lucy strictly forbade his entry to her apartment for some sort of "girl nights"(urg, he wouldn't dare enter the dubbed danger zone during those time willingly either, less he wanted to be beaten black and blue by a certain scary scarlet head).
Fairy Tail was no doubt the one big and only family he would fight to death to protect, and everyone was always very welcoming and protective of one another despite coming from all walks of life. But inside the one big family, there would be smaller family units that hold certain members closer than others to their hearts, and these groups would become inseparable, irreplaceable with their core members given the utmost trusting and loving bond they shared.
He could definitely see those existed in the Connell family, the Conbolt father-son duo, and even in the bond shared between a certain metal-eating freak, his Exceed and their resident script mage. For a while, the fire dragonslayer could only see himself carrying this bond with his trusty, blue Exceed, and he was content with that.
But then Lucy, with her golden and buxom appearance, sassy and no-nonsense attitude, starry heaven magic and too big of a kind heart, came falling into his life and the transition of his family of duo turned into trio was so natural and seamless that he couldn't bear remembering a time before this beautiful, sunshine girl.
With the celestial mage by his side, his future now looked brighter and more exciting with countless adventures awaiting them to embark on as it's always more fun when they're together. And the idea of settling down sounded both daunting and appealing at the same time, as he knew that was what he wanted eventually in a near point of future, given how solid and fulfilling his and Lucy's relationship now going strong for 3 years as romantic partners among the 6 years of friendship.
Both he and Lucy shared the same idea of having a big family, maybe 2-3 kids, given how lonely it had for him to survive alone in the wilderness within the brief period after Igneel's disappearance and before Gramps found him; and the painful abandonment Lucy experienced as an only child without a loving mother and a grief-stricken father.
Natsu always thought his firstborn would be a son, not because of stupid prejudiced thoughts that boys were better than girls, but more so because he felt he could bond with the boy the same way Igneel had with him. He would teach the youngling how to harness and control his dragon fire, assuming that the kid took after his magic, how to fight and win a brawl (definitely when against the droopy-eyed ice princess kids), and to take him on fishing trips, missions and hunting escapades not only for father-son bonding time, but also for the child to hone his survival instinct and skills, and become stronger so one day he could protect his family and friends on his own.
And that excitement grew larger the rounder Lucy's belly got, carrying the proof of their love after a year into their marriage. It always fascinated him how a woman's body could hold and carry around the entire weight of a human being inside, no magic could hold the candle to this and this is amazing, his Lucy was amazing!
Whenever they were out, Natsu's arm was hardwired to automatically wound around his wife's waist, both to readily protect her and their unborn child from any dangers and to feel the heated warmth radiated from the baby bump against his palm just to assure the child were there. And when Lucy told him the baby could start hearing as their ears are now developed, courtesy to Polyusica's update from the celestial mage's bi-weekly pregnancy check-up, Natsu and Happy would start babbling to the baby bump about the guild, their teammates, the adventures Team Natsu had gone on. and the plans he had for the child when they came out, etc. as Lucy lovingly stroked his hair and pet between Happy’a ears as she listened to them.
They opted not to discover the baby's gender during the pregnancy, wanting to be surprised when the time came. On nights they laid in each other's arms, the couple would discuss about the possible names for their baby, often ended up with giggles or exasperated huffs from Lucy as the ridiculous names Natsu would come up with (no offense to Happy, but who would name their kid Happy Jr?!)
In the end, they decided to go with Nasha Layla Dragneel for the girl, and Igneel Jude Dragneel for the boy, in honoring of their late parents. Everything was going in the right direction and Natsu couldn't wait for the arrival of their child.
And the time finally came in the form of Lucy shriek and his too numb hand from the insanely tight grip of his wife as she giving birth. The guild resident fire dragon slayer had never liked to see his celestial mage in pain, even if it was because of their child, and he could only helplessly whisper soothing words into her ears and prayed for the quick process.
A piercing wail finally echoed the infirmary as Wendy rushed to clean and swaddle the baby in a blanket. Natsu was stunned to hear Wendy congratulated them on the beautiful baby girl and his brain took some times to proceed the information. He dazedly watched Lucy cradled their daughter close, and smiled those radiant smiles of her that never failed to make his heart skip a beat. Happy, now allowed in the infirmary, hovered over Lucy and the bundle as his eyes sparkled with starry wonder as he took in his sibling.
He only snapped out when Lucy turned and asked him if he wanted to hold their Nasha. The pinkette could only dumbly nod as he shakily formed his hand into the practiced form as Lucy passed the baby to him.
The moment his daughter laid in his arms, Natsu’s heart were instantly overwhelmed with the feeling of love and gratitude as he cradled his baby girl close to his chest. Nasha seemed to take a liken to his abnormal body heat as she subconsciously squirmed closer and his heart swelled with adoration.
He could see wisps of pink hair adorned her head and the moment she opened her eyes to show the world her murky but undoubtedly brown orbs so similar to the woman he loved, right then and there he decided that she was the most beautiful baby girl in all Fiore. Any objections could eat his flaming fist to their face.
At that moment, he decided that any baby of his and Lucy was absolutely perfect and he would lay his life down to protect and ensure they had the best life as possible.
***
It had been a few months after Nasha’s birth and life had been eventful to say the least to the first-time parents. Despite the heavy bags hung under their bloodshot eyes due to the lack of sleep from their daughter wailing (that girl sure had the lungs of a dragon), and the fret to discover the causes, Natsu wouldn’t trade anything in the world for the warmth and fuzzy feeling in his chest whenever he looked or held his baby girl.
Nasha was now laying on his broad chest, his large palm anchored her tiny form to his as they laze on the bed with the warm afternoon light filtered through the bedroom window and basked their form. Happy had left for the guild to spend time with a certain white cat that had now warmed up to his advances.
Looking at the pudgy and rosy cheeks of his cute daughter, Natsu couldn’t help but lightly prodded and pinched the doughy flesh for his own amusement. Not liking the teasing from her father, Nasha’s doe brown orbs started growing glassy as her tiny mouth formed the beginning of a wailing.
“Shh, don’t cry Nasha, please don’t cry baby girl, Daddy’s only kidding. Shh, go back to sleep” Natsu immediately shushed his daughter by rubbing her back gently and pressing kisses to her wispy pink hair. His nose inhaled her heavenly baby smell and the subtle mixed scent of his and Lucy, and his body subconsciously relaxed and heated comfortably to calm the baby down.
He must have dosed off briefly as his sense woke up from the gentle combing on his scalp and the familiar scent of camellia and star dust filled his nose. Natsu opened his eyes to take in the pleasant visual of his beautiful wife smiling lovingly down at them as she whispered “Hey Daddy and Baby, I’m home. Do you mind if I join in the napping session?”
Opening his unoccupied arm invitingly, Lucy crawled into the bed to lay on his biceps as her dainty hands joined his on top of Nasha’s snoozing form.
As he curled his arm and pulled his wife tighter to the side, Natsu exhaled contently as he couldn’t help but think he was the luckiest bastard in the world to have two beautiful and loving girls in his arms.
He really wouldn’t trade anything in the whole world for this.
This was requested on AO3 by Oddxddiams.
The request was a bit complicated, so this one was kinda difficult for me. I hope that I didn't do too badly.
Also, this oneshot is featuring Lucy and Laxus' children.
I hope you enjoy!
Laxus and Lucy from the Future (Laxus x Lucy)
Lucy sighed as she stared down at the pregnancy test stick in her hands. She was sitting on the edge of the bathtub. Her eyes bore into the white screen on the test nervously. A feeling of anxiety swirled in her gut.
Did she want to be pregnant? She didn't know. She and Laxus weren't trying to have children, but she knew that if she was expecting, then they undoubtedly keep it. Nevertheless, a feeling of dread rose from within her and wrapped around her heart. Tears burned her eyes and her hands started to tremble as her mind wandered to the possibility of her being pregnant. She didn't know if it would be a good or bad thing, but she did know that she was terrified of it. She was terrified of being a bad mother. She was terrified of not being able to be a parent. A lack of proper parental figures would do that to someone, she supposed.
The sound of the front door opening and closing caused her to look up at the closed bathroom door and she quickly wiped the few stray tears that had escaped. Laxus' familiar voice called out to her, "Blondie? Where are you?"
She opened her mouth to call out an answer, but no sound came out. Her hold on the pregnancy test tightened a little. She listened as her fiance's footsteps came closer to the bathroom. He was definitely following her scent.
It didn't take long for the doorknob to turn and the door to open. Lucy looked down at the floor, not wanting Laxus to see the distress that was clearly written on her face. Laxus was silent for a few heartbeats until he spoke, his voice soft, "is something wrong?"
Lucy didn't know how she should respond, eventually resolving to just shrug. She listened as Laxus kneeled in front of her. He cupped her face and lifted her head so that she would look at him, meeting no resistance from her. Laxus' stormy blue eyes were soft with concern and gentle care. His lips were pulled into a slight frown. He muttered, "what's wrong?"
The pregnancy test fell from Lucy's hands as tears slipped down her cheeks. She let Laxus pull her into his arms as she silently cried into his chest. It took a few minutes, but she was able to manage to inform him, "I-I might be pregnant."
Laxus rubbed his hand up and down her back, his other hand gently holding the back of her head to his chest. He was silent for a few moments. "What do you want to do if you are?" His voice was stiff, despite the softness of it.
Lucy sniffled and answered, "it's not if I'm pregnant that I'm worried about. It's how I'll be as a mother."
"What do you mean?"
Lucy gently pushed herself away from Laxus so that she could look at him when she answered his question. "My father was a neglectful jerk and my mother died before I was old enough to form distinct memories of her. I grew up in a mansion surrounded by maids. I never had a good parental figure." She rested her forehead against Laxus' chest. "Laxus, I don't know how to be a mother. What if I'm terrible at it? I don't want to have a child when I can't be a mother."
She felt Laxus tighten his hold on her and rest his chin on top of her head. He whispered after a short stretch of silence, "I know how you feel. I didn't know my mother. You already know about my father. Honestly, I was scared to marry you because of the possibility of you wanting kids. I'm terrified of becoming like Ivan. Our hypothetical child doesn't deserve that kind of father, and you don't deserve that kind of husband."
Lucy balled her fists in his shirt. Her mind turned back to the pregnancy test that was on the floor, between her feet. What if she was pregnant? What were they going to do? What if they were too scared of messing up to properly parent? What if they made too many mistakes? Could they ever be parents? She wanted the answers to these questions, but at the same time, she didn't want to know. She was scared of what the answers to these questions could be.
A low growl from Laxus snapped Lucy out of her thoughts. She tipped her head up to look at him. She opened her mouth to ask what was wrong, but was stopped when Laxus whirled around onto his feet and held her behind him with one hand. Lucy's heartbeat quickened as Laxus barked at the open doorway, "who's there?"
Lucy peered around her fiance's larger body at who was hiding at the doorway. She watched with wide eyes as two children peered around the doorway. Laxus and Lucy stared in confusion and surprise. Why were there two children in their house?
Before either mage could figure out how and why the children were here, a woman called out from the living room, "Livay! Luxim! Come here!"
The children disappeared as quickly as they appeared, turning around and running to the living room in answer to the voice. Lucy looked up at Laxus when she felt him turn around and look down at her. "Blondie, that sounded like you."
Lucy furrowed her brow at him. How was that possible? Determined to figure out what was going on, she stepped around her fiance and ran to the living room, Laxus right behind her. They burst through the door and stopped in their tracks at the sight before them, their eyes wide.
Standing in the middle of the living room was an older-looking Laxus. He was dressed in a blue shirt and pair of jeans, his grey and black-fur-trimmed coat resting over his shoulders. Light stubble specked across his face and his hair was slightly longer. Standing next to him, was an older-looking Lucy. She was dressed in a red, sleeveless dress that ends mid-thigh and reveals her cleavage. Secured around her waist as an obi that was a darker shade of red. Her blonde hair was pulled into a high bun. On her cheek was a scar, running from right under her eye to the beginning of her neck. Six children stood around them, a few looking around with wide eyes reflecting awe.
Current Lucy stuttered out, "wh-who are you?"
Future Lucy laughed before she answered, "we're you two, from the future."
Current Laxus was next to question, "what the hell is going on?"
Future Laxus gave a hearty laugh. "We're here to give you two a pep talk."
"A...pep talk?" Laxus' tone was disbelieving.
Future Lucy nodded and took a step closer. "Look, we know that this is sudden and confusing, but just listen to us, okay?" When Lucy and Laxus both gave a hesitant nod, she continued, "we know that you're scared of being parents, but we're here to show you that you don't have anything to be scared of."
She gave the two oldest children a gentle push and muttered something to them. The two children nodded and walked toward Lucy and Laxus. Lucy recognized them as the kids who were at the bathroom doorway. One of the pair was a boy and the other was a girl. The boy had shoulder-length, choppy blonder hair and stormy blue eyes that looked just like Laxus'. A bright smile was on his face as he stared up at them. The girl also had Laxus' eyes and her choppy, blonde hair reached a few inches past her shoulders. She too had a bright smile on her face.
The boy was the first to speak, "I'm Luxim, and she's my twin sister, Livay. We're ten." He beamed up at Lucy and Laxus.
Lucy and Laxus shared a look that reflected the still-present confusion that they were both feeling. Nevertheless, they both decided to go with what was happening and kneeled in front of the pair of twins. Laxus smiled at them and asked, "what magic do you use?"
Livay answered, "I use Fairy Magic! Luxim is a Lightning Dragon Slayer like Dad."
Laxus raised an eyebrow, "Fairy Magic? That's Ever's magic. Why'd you learn that?"
Lucy gave him a light hit to the arm and gave him a scolding glare. Laxus only chuckled and rolled his eyes. Livay giggled and answered, "Aunty Evergreen won a bet against Dad."
Lucy muttered, "that makes sense." Laxus shot her a glare, but it lacked any annoyance or anger.
Future Laxus grumbled, "I'm still convinced that she cheated."
Future Lucy rolled her eyes. "You have to let that go."
Lucy chuckled. She then looked back at Livay and Luxim and asked, "are you two happy? Your parents are good, right?" She resisted the urge to bite her lip nervously.
The twins nodded as Luxim answered, "Mom and Dad are awesome! We love Fairy Tail!"
Laxus and Lucy both smiled at that. They were both delighted at the genuine happiness the twins showed. Livay and Luxim were then called back by Future Lucy, and two other children ran toward the past versions of their parents.
The two girls were identical. They had long, blonde that was pulled into twintails and they both had heterochromia. Both of their left eyes were brown while their right eyes were a stormy blue color. They both smiled shyly at Lucy and Laxus. Lucy smiled kindly and asked, "what are your names?"
One of the two girls answered, her voice soft with bashfulness, "I'm Lumia."
The other girl was the next to speak, "I'm Lu-YIn."
"How old are you?" Lucy resisted the urge to take the two girls into her arms and crush them in a hug.
Lumia answered, "we're eight."
Laxus then questioned, "what magic are you using?"
Lumia and Lu-Yin both reached into their pockets and each pulled out a key. Lumia spoke, "Open! Gate of the Little Dog: Husky!" With a flash of silver light, a grey Nikola appeared in Lumia's arms. The girl nuzzled her cheek against the trembling dog affectionately.
Lu-Yin then took her turn to summon her spirit. "Open! Gate of the Little Dog: Bitt!" Another Nikola appeared, held tightly in Lu-Yin's arms, this one being a light blue color.
Lucy clamped her hands against her mouth, trying to keep herself from squealing at the confirmation that two of her children will be celestial wizards just like her and her own mother. It caused a warm feeling to wrap around her heart. Laxus reached over to rub the tops of the two Nikola's heads. He then pulled his hand away and asked, "you two liking Fairy Tail?"
Lumia and Lu-Yin nodded, answering in unison, "we love Fairy Tail!"
Lucy chuckled and looked up at Laxus, seeing that he was gazing softly at the pair of twins. A feeling of love burst through her chest at the sight of fatherly love that was clearly seen on her fiance's face.
"Hey!"
A young voice snapped Lucy back to look at the child who stood in front of them. The girl had blonde hair that was cut into a choppy pixie haircut. Her eyes matched Lucy's and a toothy grin was splitting across her round face.
Laxus rested a hand on top of her head and asked, "what's your name, kid."
The girl exclaimed, "Ai!" Lucy gave a small flinch at the loud answer. Before she or Laxus could ask another question, Ai continued to exclaim, "I'm seven. Uncle Natsu taught me Fire Magic. Look! Look!" Before anybody could stop her, Ai threw at fireball at a chair on the other side of the room, causing it to break apart.
Future Lucy sighed, "Ai, not again!" She then raced over to the burning chair and stomped out the flames.
Laxus deadpanned, "oh no. Blondie, you're gonna give birth to a second flam brain!"
Both Lucys exclaimed at him, "don't compare my child to that pyromaniac!" Laxus flinched with an amused smile as Future Laxus laughed.
Future Lucy made her way back over and picked up Ai, sighing once more, "Rai's turn."
Lucy and Laxus watched as the youngest of the children shuffled over to them. The small boy gave a small, shy wave. Lucy gave him a kind, comforting smile and asked, "what's your name?"
"Rai." The boy's voice was soft with bashfulness.
"How old are you?"
"This many." Rai held up a hand, all five of his fingers spread apart.
"What magic do you want to use?" Laxus was the one who asked that. Lucy noticed the difference in question about magic from the others and knew why. She doubted that Rai knew how to use any type of magic, considering how young he is.
Rai looked back it his parents. Future Laxus chuckled and walked over to pick up his youngest child. Lucy and Laxus stood up and watched as Future Laxus pressed a kiss to Rai's forehead and answered for him, "we haven't decided that yet. Gray is begging us to let him teach Rai Ice-Make Magic."
Future Lucy added for her husband, "Gray and Natsu still have their rivalry."
Lucy sighed at that. "It's never gonna end, huh?"
Laxus chuckled at her reaction. Future Laxus walked back over to his wife and children. He looked at Lucy and Laxus and spoke, "as you can see, we didn't really have much to worry about. Yeah, parenthood is hard, and yeah, we were really scared at first, but we were able to figure it out. Fairy Tail was a lot of help too. Don't worry too much and being parents, and remember: you two aren't anything like your parents."
All too suddenly, Future Lucy, Future Laxus, and their children disappeared. Lucy and Laxus stared at where they were just seconds before. Laxus muttered, "you saw all of that too, right?"
Lucy hummed as she nodded. Then, she suddenly remembered the pregnancy test that was still laying on the bathroom floor. The result was definitely on the screen by now. She gripped Laxus's arm and stared up at him. When looked down at her, she whispered, "the pregnancy test."
Laxus' eyes widened in realization and thei both rushed to the bathroom. Lucy picked up the pregnancy test as Laxus wrapped his arms around her and they both stared at the result.
Positive.
Grins split across both mages' faces and tears of happiness streamed down Lucy cheeks. She turned around in Laxus' arms and hugged him, which he returned. There was still a feeling of fear in Lucy's gut, but it was significantly weaker than it was previously. If what they had just experienced was anything to go by, they didn't have anything to worry about.
My head is wrapped on Nalu baby's soo...
Headcanons about the children of the canon couples in Fairy Tail ✨✨
or at least the ones closer to canon, I'm watching your teasing Mashima
Nalu
Get angry with me all you can, but they don't have a lot of children, oddly enough Nasha is one of the few in the guild who were planned.
Natsu is totally a girls daddy, it's the vibe.
They have Nasha after getting married, she is the spitting personality of Natsu, but learned to like books like Lucy.
They had some false alarms and when it really happened the pregnancy was hard for Lucy and the baby.
They got scared to try again, and Lucy was brokenhearted because she knew Natsu would want more despite him constantly saying that Nasha would be more than enough.
After at least two years they end up adopting a baby boy they rescued on a mission.
The boy is almost as chaotic as Nasha, but is more calculating than his impulsive sister.
The two fight a lot, Lucy is the rigid parent who makes them stop, Natsu is the one wrapped around their fingers, and gets scolded together.
Despite fighting, the kids are very close, play together all the time and protect each other a lot.
When the kids are sad and wanna talk about it they go to Lucy, when they just wanna be held they go to Natsu.
Both times when the kids arrived the spirits were very eager to meet then but waited, except for Aquarius, she used her own energy, and brought gifts, but she also said they were very ugly.
Even though Natsu and Lucy don't have other kids, they would be parental figures to any lonely children who come across their life, and are the favorite uncle and aunt for most of the guild kids.
Gruvia
They have three at max, none planned as Gray was insecure about being a parent.
Gray cried at every single birth.
Juvia is a boys mother and is very jealous of all her kids.
Gray is the parent who puts then on tracks, and so he receives all the hate.
Greige was born months before Nasha, and has the shy nature of his mother .
The middle child is a girl, and if they have a third one would be a boy.
The girl is the princess of the house and is very spoiled, she has Gray infinite devotion.
Gajevy
Those two have at least five. None was planned.
As in the twin trouble novel Asuka seems to be at her mid/late teens, and the twins look six at most, I believe they are not the firsts but the second to born (I couldn't read the full novel to know more).
The first one is a girl, definitely born to defy Gajeel in every possible way, going further enough to ask Natsu some Dragon slayer tricks.
The twins are much more level headed than the firstborn, but Yajee is more impulsive than Jutla.
The fourth and fifth kids are the mischief ones, doing mess and troubling Levy, they also have different magic from their parents.
The fourth and fifth are closer to Natsu and Lucy's boy due to age closeness. When the three are quiet for too long it means they are making some trouble.
Both Gajeel and Levy are good at controlling their kids, but Gajeel does it by being strict and Levy does by tricking the kids, it works better with the more hot-headed ones.
All their kids know that Gajeel is soft-hearted about them getting hurt, so if they do trouble they come crying for him first, because if Levy learns she will be angry, and an angry Levy is a scary one.
Jerza
They only have one child
They are both scared of having children, cus of their bad childhood, Jellal never interacted much with kids and Erza tends to scare them.
Both are very protective.
Their son was an accident that happened on their honey moon.
Was a happy accident though.
He is very smart and takes after Jellal more, being closer to Erza on the aspect of being a good leader.
He is closer to age to the oldest of Gajeel and Levy, so the duo control the kids brawls in the guild hall.
The boy is also very independent from a young age, and Jellal is always scared of not being present enough for him.
Erza tries to be subtle but she loves to say how proud she is of her boy.
As Erza gets older she takes after Makarov when she becomes the master and develops a kind of motherly feeling to the younger generations of the guild, so subtlety she gets a lot of kids.
CobraxKinana
Have only one boy, who very fiercely loves Fairy Tail.
They have him some years after their wedding, the kid would be closer to the twins age.
Cobra didn't want kids, as they make much noise, but accepts because of Kinana, so he would be one of few planned ones.
She is a very dedicated mother, and the type who only stopped working when was due to labor, and returned very early on too.
Kinana would come to work with the baby wrapped in cloth like a kangaroo and it was the sweetest sight at the guild.
Elfgreen
They have two, I don't care gender.
In a very cartoonist way one is the spitting image and personality of Elfman, and the other of Evergreen.
Evergreen loves to brag about how awesome and handsome her kids are.
She also likes to dress up then, uncle Bixlow likes too.
Elfman engages in any stupid ideas the kids have.
Both kids are scared of Laxus, and he got offended by it.
Mira spoils her nephews/nices a lot, but none the parents have the guts to ask her to stop, so anytime the kids wants something and the parents don't give, they run to aunty Mira.
As the kids grew Elfman and Ever become the type of parents that the kids ask them to grow up.
Bonus:
Characters I believe would be a single parent, either by adoption, having a child without contacting or knowing the father, or the child simply appears years later (like Cana to Gildarts).
Cana: adopted.
Bixlow: simply appeared, no one questions who the mom is, just how the kid will survive .
Laki: def don't know the father.
Lyon: appeared.
Kagura: adopted two girls from Mermaid Heel.
Hibiki: adopted, but everyone suspects the blood relation.
