Autumn Trends III. - Metallics

Metallic fabrics usually are on trend around winter/Christmas season, however we can say hi to them so much sooner, as they are on trend this Autumn/fall season. Personally, I love a hint of sparkle in my outfit every day, mainly when I am feeling down to cheer me up or when I am feeling extra feminine to simply match my vibes.

Let's see a couple of outfits really that are relatively easy to copy this fall.

Soft, warm knitted sweater and a metallic skirt; this outfit is comfortable, effortless, yet very trendy this season I feel like.

2. An elegant style sparkly trouser is something that you cannot make a mistake with. Pair it with a smart blazer, simple top and you are good to go in the office and then to a restaurant at night.

3. Accessories - always help to elevate your look, but a metallic accessory is something more extra. I really love how the bag transformed the anyway simple, almost boring office look. I think the key to wearing these bags elegantly is combining them with more subdued clothes.

4. Sequin blazer/coat - instantly helps you feel happier, sexier, more interesting and I would not wear it only around Christmas period, but all year round. It can work with a warm knitted sweater or on top of a shirt, the possibilities are endless. Really similar applies to this piece as what applied to the metallic pants: when you would go to a restaurant right after a long office day, this can be a perfect choice.

What kind of astrology woo woo interpolation are the online fashion website listicle writers doing when they say "HERE ARE THE FALL 2023 TRENDS" and all the pictures are of like avant garde runway clothes that are completely unwearable in real life. You saw a few silver details on the Earrings They Whipped Jesus With and you're like right then that's the new trend. I'd understand if they were looking at celebrities or influencers or going and asking the people who design clothes that normal people wear what they're making this season but you're looking at a photo of someone at a fashion show wearing a bunch of gathered satin ruffles in a nebulous impersonation of a garment (affectionate, don't get me wrong these fashion show clothes can look real cool) and going yep mate the shoulder pad is SO BACK!! how do you do it. And how are you right so much of the time? Most of the people buying the clothes have never seen this fashion show — hell I see fashion show pictures in one context and they're all like from 1993 — and they still end up buying the stuff on these listicles. Is it a self-fulfilling prophecy because a magazine who extrapolated on a wearable art installation told them it's trending? Is it magic? Is it mind control? Are the clothes designers all held up in an old warehouse by a gang of Vogue editors? What the fuck is going on
