All the KinnPorsche fics that had me in a chokehold - completed recs because I know we all have PTSD from incomplete fics

So here I am after thousands of years of being off tumblr for one reason. KINNPORSCHE. Now if you’re like me and you like to hyper fixate on things, then you know what’s it’s like to spend hours trying the find the best fics to satisfy that boost of serotonin. So here I’ve listed all of my favorite KP fics I’ve read on AO3. Now, I mainly read smut but I do enjoy a little fluff every once in a while so WARNING: I’m gonna list some of the most toe curling, smut filled fics of them all here, some summaries are VERY EXPLICIT. I do read Vegas/Pete and Kim/Chay fics as well but this is primarily dedicated to my two favorite kingpins. Originally this was going to be a complete/incomplete rec list but I then realized it was going to be a monster of a rec page. Anyways ENJOY !

Fall Fanfic Reads

Inspired by the lovely @oneofthesirens a compilation of what I’ve been reading this season. I’ve made more of an effort to read published books but have still devoured some lengthy fics.

The Last Enemy Series by @chdarling

It’s 1975 and war is simmering beneath the surface of the Wizarding world...but at Hogwarts, it’s magic as usual as the fifth years prepare for their O.W.L.s amidst politics, pranks, and other poor choices.

I recently got back into Marauders fanfic and I’ve now completely caught up on this two part series. It’s fantastic and I don’t have enough words to praise it. Reads like the prequel I always dreamed about. I may or may not have recommended it to my massage therapist when we talked about Harry Potter...

I am so grateful I found this story and author! I am obsessed with hidden child fics and this has quickly become a top fave and it got me back into Jily after 10 plus years. If any of you enjoy Iris, read this! This story will crack your heart in half but you won’t care since the writing is so beautiful.

James Potter enjoys the simple life. That is, being a national Quidditch star, drinking profusely with his mates, and no-strings-attached companionship. At least until he meets a beautiful, clever redhead who is immune to his charms and uninterested in his talents. She just might also help him see there is more to this thing called life than perpetual, meaningless bachelorhood.

Pairing: James/Lily

Sat down to read one chapter before writing, and instead caught up in one siting. All the amazing slow burn goodness. Also adore James’s parents and Sirius and Remus in this.

I had the privilege of being her test reader and I’m so excited it’s now starting to update! A unique idea of exploring Hermione as a character if she was raised as a pureblood. Also it’s fun to read an enemies to lovers in Harmony since it’s not often done. Her writing is gorgeous. Also James and Lily live! Sirius and Remus too, extra bonus!

When Harry and Hermione's first child is born, the joy they feel is dampened by the news they receive from the healers—their baby is plagued by an unknown ailment, likely a curse. Hermione will do anything to save her daughter. Even dabble in magic she'd be better off avoiding.

Pairing: Harry/Hermione

I  discovered this writer in September and immediately read all of her Harmony works. I am so in love with her writing style. The raw emotion in this story gets under your skin and you can feel Hermione’s desperation and love for her child. 

Finding Jane by Delivermefromeve

This is, primarily, a tribute to that wonderful character, but seeing as I suddenly have this opportunity to enter this in the Elder Wand Competition (the deadline got extended, apparently), I thought it wouldn't be a bad idea. ^_^

If you're expecting a red-hot romance, it's not happening in this one-shot. 

This was also inspired by all the Janes in Harry Potter. If you're a true-Harmonian, you'll know what that means 

Pairing: Harry/Hermione

Not much of a summary from Portkey but Hermione is newly divorced from Ron and finds an old copy of the book Emma which sparks some discussions with her Mother. This is an old favorite I re-discovered. A lovely character study of Hermione...and Harry. I love the dialogue between Hermione and her mum about love and marriage. Epilogue compliant.

If someone was going to fix the vandalism on TSR's tvtropes page, how would they do it? As someone who doesn't have experience with this

All of these suggestions are based on TVTropes own rules about correct troping, sourcing and context. You can just delete/replace where appropriate, and the reasons are given.

Reason: Incorrect trope. Also no context.

EasilyForgiven: Delete entry entirely

Reason: It takes several months to forgive Aliana, and that is due to the fact that she learned she had been making her fear for her life. The quote given is a clear example of cherry-picking.

UnpleasantParentReveal: Rey learns that her parents sold her for beer money because they found her to be annoying and burdensome.

Reason: Zero context example.

Possible Replacements / Additions

HoistByHisOwnPetard: Aliana and Rey demonstrate a sadistic cruelty where Kylo Ren is concerned, often putting off killing him to make him suffer. This means that Kylo Ren has more opportunities to escape and further damage the Resistance's efforts.

RonTheDeathEater: Aliana gets this from some readers, who believe her to be a StrawFascist who kills people wantonly and is abusing Rey. Two hate fics have been written depicting Aliana as an overtly villainous rapist who abuses Rey and is secretly plotting galactic domination.

Reason: Previous edits removed context and failed to source the "in story decisions" they were claiming supported Aliana being an abuser. Furthermore to address the discussion page, not only are hate fics commonly included with this trope, the previous edits were extremely biased already.

Squick: Change Aliana to Rey. Also add they acknowledged the conversation was weird.

Reason: Rey was the one who suggested that if she'd been adopted she would still fall in love with Aliana. The one who added this just lied about which character it was.

UnintentionallySympathetic: Delete entry entirely

Reason: Unintentionally Sympathetic is when the story flubs a villain and makes them look for sympathetic, not when readers just decide to sympathize with a character more. The trope you're looking for is DracoInLeatherPants

Reason: The story makes no attempt to absolve Mayrik of her decision to ferry Rey to Jakku, and Mayrik eventually apologizes to her and reveals Aliana was angry with her over it.

Reason: First entry is addressed and considered, just not in the way some readers wanted. Second entry is nonsensical. Star Wars doesn't linger on prosthetics very long and amputees are canon. Furthermore, Mayrik isn't responsible for Rey being sold in the first place. The fourth is a duplicate of the second.
