✨ Twenty Questions for Fic Writers ✨
Thank you @reminiscingintherain for tagging me!
1. How many works do you have on ao3?
67, soon to be 68 with the Trick or Treat Fest ficlet I've written!
2. What's your total ao3 word count?
359,280
3. What fandoms do you write for?
One Direction. I've written some 1d rare pairs which adds BBC Radio 1, Music, Fashion Model, and Actor RPF to my fandoms list in ao3.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Nailed By Louis, Not Another Lonely Christmas, All That You Need, The Prince and The YouTuber, Take on Me
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Not right away but I do respond. I read them as soon as I see the email notification, but I wait to respond until I need a boost. It's so nice to reread every comment in my inbox as I respond.
6. What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Surprisingly not the one that ends with MCD! My angstiest ending is a 500 word girl direction ficlet The Phantom Heart.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
I love happy endings so it's tough to pick! I'm going to go with We're Getting Better With Time because it's about second chances, so the ending feels like a new beginning for their love.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
The closest thing I've gotten to hate was a tweet about Premier Fantasies where someone was appalled by the Harry Styles/Ted Lasso pairing. It wasn't aimed at my writing, just the choice in pairing, so I took it as a compliment that I could write something that shocked people.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
I do write it, but not as much as I used to. When I started writing I felt so much pressure to add smut into every fic because it gets better engagement, more hits, etc. But the more I've written, the less I care about the numbers.
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
I've written a couple of crossovers! Premier Fantasies is Harry Styles in the Ted Lasso universe, which was crazy just because of the pairing. I had a lot of fun writing dialogue for Ted in this one. The craziest plot-wise is Love and Other Antidotes, which is a One Direction take on Emperor's New Groove, and features Kronk, Disney style hijinks, and Harry as a little cow!
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I'm aware of. I think short fics and rare pairs tend to be stolen less often, so so far I've been safe.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
I don't allow translations, but someone did post a translation of one without asking. I have mixed feelings about translations.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
I have not. I feel like as a capricorn I would want to have too much control over the story for it to be a good idea.
14. What's your all-time favourite ship?
I read and write Larry fics the most, but I also love Niall/Greg James as a pairing and think their dynamic is so underrated.
15. What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
My very first fic. It's a werewolf pack fic I started plotting in 2017. I didn't get very far before hitting some major plot holes that I was too inexperienced as a writer to be able to fill. I have grown so much as a writer since then that it wouldn't be the same fic with the same purpose as when I started writing it.
16. What are your writing strengths?
My biggest strength is that I write for myself. I love writing short oneshots even though long fics are get more kudos. I adore the humor of crack fics, even though angsty fics get more hits. I will tackle any new rare pair I want, even if I'm the only person that will read it.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I am a creature of habit and my habits have been disturbed. I'd worked hard to develop a habit of writing a couple of times a week, and it was going so well. But after moving and other life changes in the last year, it's been difficult to find the time or energy to write. I wish I could flip on the motivation like a switch.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
There are a couple of books I remember because of the author's use of code switching throughout the dialogue, and I think it can be really powerful for some stories. But since English is my native language, I would only use it for my own writing if it added to the story, and if had the time to properly research and get it reviewed.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
The phandom in 2016 but I didn't post it back then. One Direction was the first fandom where I shared my fic.
20. Favourite fic you've written?
I'm going to do this by category because I can't choose only one:
Larry fic: We're Getting Better With Time Girl Direction fic: Close Our Eyes (Pretend We're Miles Away) Rare Pair fic: Now All The Clouds Been Lifted Ficlet: Through the Static

"Swimming Lessons."
Taking place within the "Of Heartaches and Headaches Universe."
One shot #1
Thank you, as always, to @halogenrobotics for editing this and giving me a plot outline. I couldn't have done it without you :D!!
--
Vanessa groaned, using her hands to fan herself. It was the middle of summer, and in true Utah fashion, it was absolutely sweltering. And because her luck was nonexistent, her A/C had stopped working. She'd put a work order in for her landlord to fix it, but knowing him, it’d be fixed in time for Christmas.
Gregory was sprawled on the floor. Crayons and coloring book forgotten, because of the heat. “It’s soooo hot!” He whined, and Vanessa felt guilty. She’d heard that little kids were more susceptible to the heat.
“Sorry, kiddo. It’s a heatwave. Hopefully it won’t last forever. I can text Luis and see if he’ll let us crash at his place.” Vanessa stared at her phone. Luis was working a double shift today, and she would really hate to bother him. But staying in this heat was dangerous…
A thought popped into her head. “Hey, Greg?”
“Hm?”
“Do you wanna go to the pool?” She couldn’t remember the last time she went swimming. A year ago? Two?
Gregory didn’t respond, and for a minute Vanessa thought he’d gone to sleep. “Greg?” She nudged him with her foot. “Still awake?”
He sat up. “I can’t go.” Gregory pouted.
“Why not? Is there a height requirement that I’m unaware of?” Vanessa said it jokingly, but she wondered if there was some universal rule about bringing preschoolers to the pool. She was still relatively new to this mom-ing thing. She wished Maria left a book of instructions before she moved on. Maybe she could call-
Gregory burst into tears, startling her back into the present. “I cant swim!” He wailed.
Vanessa processed his words. “That’s okay,” She murmured.
He sniffled, wiping his eyes. “But I…I can’t go to the pool. And-and it’s sooo hot!”
She slid off the couch, sitting on her knees in front of Gregory. She patted him on the head. “Then, I’ll just have to teach you.”
“Teach me?”
“Yep, being able to swim is an important life skill.”
“So, I can go to the pool?”
Vanessa chuckled, messing up his hair. He made a face at the gesture, reaching up to grab at her hand. “Of course, I wouldn’t be a very good mom if I didn’t. Now, would I?”
Gregory pursed his lips together, eyes getting an oddly serious look in them. He seemed to think it over for a few seconds, shaking his head in agreement.
“Good,” Vanessa said, getting to her feet. She holds a hand out for Gregory. “Now, let’s get changed, and get to the pool before we melt.”
-x-x-x-
The pool was surprisingly empty, but that might have something to do with the fact that a newer pool just opened a block away. The lifeguard waved at them - probably excited to have something to do. Gregory waved excitedly back.
Vanessa put their stuff on one of the many available lawn chairs. She sat down, motioning Gregory over to her. “Sunscreen,” she said. He scrunched his nose, but skipped over nonetheless.
It’s a good thing that she bought Gregory a swimsuit a few weeks back. The Pizzaplex had a sale, and the pair of Freddy swim trunks with a matching swim t-shirt they had was too cute to pass up. The smile the outfit earned from Gregory was well worth the temporary blow to her wallet.
Her own swimsuit was a one piece she’d had for several years. Actually, Vanessa might have “stolen” this swimsuit from her mother’s closet as one final act of revenge. Oh, well.
She guided Gregory to the shallow end of the pool. “Now, it’s going to be a little cold. But it shouldn’t last.” Eager to cool down, Vanessa practically skipped the steps into the pool and hops right in.
Gregory eyed the water with a nervous expression. He stood on the top step, kicking at the water.
“It’s okay,” Vanessa said, wading through the water and reaching her hands out. “You can reach this part. No swimming required yet.”
Gregory seemed to consider her words, taking another step into the pool. And another and another, until he was on the final step. The water reaches his naval, and he muttered something about it being too cold.
“Good job!” Vanessa complimented, taking his hands. “First part done.”
“What’s next?” He asks.
Vanessa moved back a little. “Keep walking forward until you can’t anymore.” She made sure to have her arms outstretched just in case she had to save him from going under.
Gregory looked less than pleased with that answer, staring at the water like it offended him. “Okay,” he whispered. He walked forward, arms reaching towards Vanessa’s.
He stopped suddenly. The water now reached his collarbones. They’d barely moved five inches from the steps. Vanessa smiles encouragingly at him. “Would you like to try floating?”
“Floating?” He asked.
“Mhm, floating is when you lie on your back.”
A crease formed between his eyebrows. “No swimming?”
“No swimming,” Vanessa confirmed.
“O-kay.”
She helped him onto his back. Gregory startled a little, cool water tickling his ears. “It’s okay, it’s okay. I’m right here.”
He calmed down, trusting her to keep him afloat. She placed her hands under his back, supporting him. Slowly (very, very slowly) Vanessa removed them. Gregory remained floating. “You’re floating all by yourself, Greg.”
His eyes shot open. “Huh!? Really!?” He shouted, ears still submerged under water. She nodded.
Gregory smiles widely. “I’m doing it! I’m doing it!
Vanessa allowed him to bask in his newfound ability. Sometimes she wished she could find joy in the mundane. That childish glee that followed a brand new discovery. A few inches away, Gregory giggled, lightly smacking the surface of the water. But this, Vanessa thought to herself, is just as good. Better even.
Eventually, Gregory grew tired of floating. He grabbed at her, trying to reorient himself. Vanessa kept a firm grip on him, as they’d drifted closer to the deep end of the pool. “Ready for step two?” She asks.
He tilted his head. “Step two? That…that wasn’t it?”
“Nope.”
Gregory clung to her like a baby Koala, or perhaps a boa constrictor (no matter how much she tried to distance herself, he just tightened his hold. Tiny limbs squeeze the life out of Vanessa). He shook his head frantically. “Nuh, uh!”
“Come on, please. You’ve already done part one.”
Gregory quirked an eyebrow, pulling away from Vanessa to eye her. “So?” For someone so sweet and innocent, it never ceased to amaze her how sassy he really was. Vanessa supposes she should be grateful that the little boy she found in an alley was finally showcasing his personality (and she is), but sometimes….
“Can you at least try? I promise I won’t let anything happen to you.”
Gregory stared at her with watery eyes. “Mama ‘Nessa. I…I can’t.”
It takes everything in Vanessa not to call it a day, pack up their stuff, and let Gregory off the hook. But doing that means subjecting him to this some other day. “No,” she agreed. “But you will.”
She spent the next two hours teaching Gregory how to swim. It was a slow, agonizing process. One step forward, two steps back. It also didn’t help that he seemed unable to let go of Vanessa, clutching her wrist for support.
Twenty minutes into the second hour, Vanessa’s efforts were finally rewarded. She watched in amazement as Gregory doggy-paddled all the way to the stairs and back. It wasn't perfect, but that was okay. They could work on it another time.
He looked so proud of himself right then, standing on his tiptoes in the shallow end. “Didja see Mama ‘Nessa!? Didja see!?”
Vanessa gave him a thumbs up. “Great job, Greg!” She opened her arms, ready to scoop him into a hug. Only to be met with a faceful of water. She wiped at her eyes.
“Gotcha!” He shouted, giggling like crazy. It would be endearing if her eyes weren’t burning. In response, Vanessa splashed him back.
“Brat,” she teased him, dodging another one of his attacks.
Gregory stuck his tongue out.
They continued to splash each other, laughing and calling each other by endearing (but annoying) names.
Vanessa wished this moment could last forever. The thought that it wouldn’t, made her feel sad, but in a faraway kind of way. Like the hurt was someplace else. Somewhere far enough away that it couldn’t bother her in the present moment.
And that was okay with Vanessa. She was happy enough living for the here and now.

La La Land (2016, Damien Chazelle)
08/11/2023
La La Land is a 2016 film written and directed by Damien Chazelle.
The film tells the love story between a jazz musician and an aspiring actress, played respectively by Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, made a contemporary musical that pays homage to the classic musical films produced between the 1950s and 1960s. The film's title is both a reference to the city of Los Angeles and the meaning of being in the "dream world" or "out of reality". Chazelle wrote the screenplay in 2010, but couldn't find a studio willing to finance the project. Only after the success of his 2014 Whiplash did the project gain interest from production companies.
The film received universal acclaim from critics, who praised Damien Chazelle's direction, Stone's performance and the film's soundtrack, receiving top marks from many critics and proving to be one of the most popular films since its theatrical release.
It was the opening film of the 73rd Venice International Film Festival, where Stone won the Volpi Cup for Best Female Performance. It received 14 nominations for the 2017 Oscars, equaling the record of films such as All About Eve and Titanic, ultimately winning 6 statuettes. It won seven Golden Globes, out of seven nominations, the Audience Award at the Toronto International Film Festival and many other international awards, becoming one of the most awarded and appreciated films of 2016.
On a hot and busy Los Angeles highway, the first meeting takes place between Mia, an aspiring actress who works as a barista at a café in the Warner Bros. Studios, and Sebastian, a jazz pianist who dreams of opening his own place. After yet another failed audition, Mia's roommates, seeing her down in the dumps, convince her to go to a sumptuous party in the Hollywood Hills, at the end of which, walking home, she is attracted by music and enters the club where it comes from.
A few months later, the two meet at a party where Sebastian is playing in an 80s cover band, and it is from that moment that they begin to see each other as friends, despite the strong chemistry between them, discussing their passions and their respective projects for the future. Sebastian invites Mia to the cinema to watch Rebel Without a Cause and she accepts, forgetting a previous commitment she made with her current boyfriend Greg. The two end the evening with a romantic dance at the Griffith Observatory.
Only a few people attend Mia's show. Disappointed and embittered by the negative criticism received and by the lack of Sebastian, Mia decides to leave Los Angeles and her aspirations to return to her parents in Boulder City, Nevada.
Being also a musician, Damien Chazelle has always had a strong predilection for musical films. His vision for the film was to "take an old-fashioned musical, but portray it in real life where things don't always work out", as well as paying homage to all the people who move to Los Angeles to pursue their dreams. Chazelle conceived the idea for the film when he was a student at Harvard University, along with his classmate, Justin Hurwitz. The two explored the concept in their senior thesis through a low-budget musical about a Boston jazz musician called Guy and Madeline on a Park Bench.

Jonathan Roumie/The Chosen/Mormonism/Jesus Revolution/Phil Robertson/Dallas Jenkins/satanic Grammy's/Greg Laurie/back to Jonathan Roumie
Quite a title right? Guess what, they all connect. Just like the elite clubs of Hollywood, fashion, and music industry, mainstream modern "Christianity" artists are right up in the mix of deception. And I promise, this is just key points. Each one of these can go off into another trail of deception. Here goes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
From Roumie's IG. if you think the templars are Christian, you would be very wrong. If you think Cooper is a born again Christian, go watch live videos with his band Hollywood Vampires.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Guess who helps fund the chosen? Angel Studios
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dallas Jenkins, in another post, thought it would be funny to have Joseph Smith do a walk by cameo appearance while Jesus was on the Cross. Yup, he said that.
Tumblr media
Phil gushing over The Chosen. If you think Phil is a Christian, go hear him praising and having nothing but great things to say about Pope Francis. He went on and on about how wonderful he is.
But back to Dallas Jenkins, the creator of the chosen. This was his comment on the Sam Smith performance at the grammys a few weeks ago.
Tumblr media
That is about as a political and safe response you could give. It's also cowardly. Probably doesn't want his show pulled from Netflix, Apple + or other streaming platforms. But that was typical to EVERY Christian artist that was there at the Grammys or who should have even had something to say. Below is a video where I guy goes through calling those artists out, as well as showing how THEY (they artist) tried to shun one of their fans for calling them out. Now before you watch that, let.me finish up at the bottom.
Watch "Christians at the GRAMMYs is WORSE than you think " on YouTube
youtube
First, I do not know this guy or his channel. I came across the video. And while he is proper in his biblical quotes and usage to call out the hypocrisy, he messed up and named dropped cavalry chapel, big red flag. Here's where it all wraps up. Calvary Chapel is home to Greg Laurie. Greg Laurie is one of the dirtiest pigs in the pen. You can also find videos of him interviewing Alice Cooper and praising him for being a born again Christian. He is also the writer and a main character of the new movie Jesus Revolution (I also did a post on his connection with Rick Warren and Francis Chan and how they released the college day of prayer at Asbury University two weeks before that revival "spontaneously" took place). Greg Laurie's new movie also stars, you saw it at the beginning, Jonathan Roumie.
I went through a lot of disgusting rabbit holes before.i was born again. But honestly, learning about the connections and deceptions of these people that claim the name of Jesus, they rank right up there with the worst. Be careful who you give your ear to. Study your Bible.

But, also, what caught my interest regarding Kohga is that most of his strengths are interpersonal and emotional skills, which is highly unusual in a universe full of stabby swordy guys who settle disputes with contests of who is the Stabbiest and Swordiest. It’s like if Greg Universe was the leader of a struggling ninja assassin cult who’s tasked with keeping the band together.
It also at once puts him both a little at odds with Ganon’s embodied virtue of Power where the traditional thinking in Hyrule is “might makes right,” and a little in alignment with it as there’s more to being powerful than casting the most dangerous spells or just punching really hard. Soft power’s a thing, too: building connections and reputation, charming people to your side, diplomatic negotiation, repaying favors and keeping people loyal, or good old-fashioned emotional manipulation to get out of a jam. These things are just as important as force and self-defense in building a power base. Maybe even more important, in some cases.
Like, one of his most powerful skills that’s carried him throughout his career is his acting ability. He’s extremely good at the “espionage” part of being a spymaster, even if he prefers to leave the actual assassinations to lower-ranking people in the organization. He’s so good at imitating people that he can fool people who’ve known the person he’s disguised as for years! He frames himself as an entertainer through the way he poses like a Kabuki actor and his gaudy, ostentatious uniform. It at once makes him more than a common bandit but also throws people off the trail by making them underestimate him. That’s really, really different from the classic “swordsman” model major players in Hyrule’s eternal cycle are expected to embody. That’s interesting!

the last issue of the wasp solo is out as well and I really wish someone who is actually a fan of hers got to write it :/
putting my thoughts under the cut 😁
i do think this issue was the best of the lot and was a marked improvement but.... yeah :/ like I know I keep comparing it to Ant-Man, but you know, fuck you, they're both anniversary's comics written by the same guy in the same format, so I'm going to. Ant-Man was so high concept and was incredibly ambitious, bringing different decades of history to create an anniversary comic. It felt loving, considered, and well researched, like we know exactly what each issue is doing and why and how. It takes place across different times, different settings, different environments where each Ant-Man came from and where they thrived. There was a lot of love in that comic, and it was well executed.
Wasp's comic takes place in a random warehouse in the middle of nowhere, and partially in an alternate universe where she's not actually the Wasp because I guess nothing says anniversary like "Janet arguably would have been better off and would be more respected as a team member if she hadn't become the Wasp". Which is weird because in the actual story of the comic Janet wasn't that important; Nadia did almost all of the heavy lifting in figuring out how to destory the Kosmos creature, in fighting off Fantasma. Janet impacts shockingly little of the narrative in this anniversary issue, beyond the AU stuff.
It's also weird because the actual plot of this story is extremely similar to the Ant-Man/Giant-Man Double Feature comic, where the Kosmos aliens make a return and Hank has to beat them along with the Kree and some giant insects. It doesn't even feel like an original story, but a reimagination of a different comic that did a lot more to add to Janet's life despite her not being the main character. We got to see her in therapy, see her growth from when she first joined the team without rolling over her flaws, see her inner life with being a socialite and a fashion designer in a very simple but effective way while making it relevant. And yet a lot of that doesn't feel present here, for some reason.
Idk, I feel like I'm being extremely critical and I might do a reread to see if I pick up on more things but I guess for a Wasp anniversary comic it really didn't feel like it had a lot to do with Janet. I didn't feel like I had learned anything new about Janet, about her legacy, about her character, other than that in a reality where she never became the Wasp, she's arguably in a better place with not constantly being part of the Ant-Man and the Wasp duo and being the driving force of the Avengers. Which again, isn't really the feeling I want to have in my Wasp anniversary comic.
Anyway Avengers Beyond #2, while having the cardinal sin of Greg Land art, did a lot more in terms of being a tribute to Janet. I don't even think that comic was particularly astounding, but having Janet be away from Nadia and deal with a problem in her own way and not with science (which is not her strength and never has been and that's okay) and deal with a childhood friend who loves her but is sometimes annoyed with her does so much more to make a statement on who Janet is.
I don't think Wasp should have followed in the exact lines of Ant-Man but I really think this series could have done a lot more for Janet, without rehashing better comics from the 90s and without making Janet essentially inconsequential without Nadia's presence. Like idk, you could do a smaller scale version of Age of Ultron where Janet was removed from the timeline and a few different Janet's and maybe Rita DeMara and Tom Foster along with Nadia have to restore her because reality is ruined without her. Or incorporate the stories she used to tell in the later issues of Tales to Astonish where Janet would make up crazy stories for Hank or anyone else who was listening, have one of those become reality and have her and Nadia have to defeat what was created from her imagination. Or something, I mean hey, I don't write comics, but I just think that this could have been a better tribute to Janet than what we got. But again, maybe if I reread, I'll see it in a different light, I just find a lot of flaws that are hard to ignore :/

the neos as succession characters
(since there are way more neos than fixed cast members i'm taking a creative license and using in universe extras)
taeil - just a waystar employee that is really efficient at his job. for some reason he always seems to be around the higher ups but no one knows what his job actually entails. he comes and goes and when logan is like "who the fuck is that guy?" the camera just pans to him like :-D
johnny - literally cousin greg. he got off the train from chicago and immediately got himself tangled in a corporate fraud scandal. he posts vlogs to his failed youtuber channel like "hanging out in my cousins' yacht" and "we gave ten thousand dollars to a hobo to smoke a dead rat"
taeyong - naomi pierce. he's already a manic pixie dream girl so it'd be great to see him run into a torrid love affair w kendall and do coke together while they keep ignoring each other's red flags. also taeyong is so hot he would pull off naomi's dresses better than her
yuta - shiv. he's already a chaotic neutral but i feel like he could really do shiv's character justice and stop her from being a cringe failed girlboss in the process. yuta being the head of his own company would literally be a win for feminism btw
doyoung - tom. rip to all of you but i'm right. he already sings like he's literally on the brink of divorce and his wife is asking him to have a threesome w a girl but then wants him to only watch - all while trying to keep afloat a corrupt company where he got the short end of the stick to be "the face of the operation"
jaehyun - connor. he's already got the failed acting career so it makes sense that he'd turn into a patron of the arts for his paid gf
jungwoo - willa. (hiii jaewoo shippers!) he could literally make willa the most interesting character of the show and i think he'd enjoy humiliating the roys a lot. but he'd become besties w yuta's shiv
mark - cousin johnny's friend from college that is studying law but can't yet give much legal advice because he still hasn't gotten to that class. they smoke a ton of weed at one of johnny's amusement park gigs and he's the reason why johnny threw up in his costume and got fired
haechan - the tabitha to some poor fuck's roman. idek if he's actually tabitha all i know is he's there for a good time not a long time and promptly runs off with the roy's hush money after catching logan snorting coke off a hooker's ass or something.
ten - literally stewy. he's both morally and sexually ambiguous but everytime he shows up everyone is delighted. ppl keep asking for him whenever kendall goes somewhere like "hey why didn't you bring stewy?" before he goes and cries in the restroom
kun - kendall. he has three bored ape nfts and then word gets out that kun roy purchased nfts and the stock price crashes cause everyone sells theirs. look me in the eye and tell me that would not happen exactly like that
yangyang - kendall's dealer probably. like he's just around enough for it to be funny because everytime he shows up kendall is like "did i call you?" and thinks he forgot. roman has a psychosexual gay crush on him and asks for some ketamine at a party before yangyang dabs and shuts him down.
xiaojun - one of tom's cringe failed friends from college or something. he just shows up once or twice per season but he always seem to be slightly uncomfortable and gets roped into weird social situations with the roys
hendery - a friend of roman from like his weird fashion circle that doesn't do much and hangs around at the roy's parties before making fun of kendall kun
winwin - a model that shows up once in an episode w the roys and fucks off to never be seen again, yet the fandom never seems to shut the fuck up about him

Dagan-Fuck This: Meet Our Mascots! + Announcement
Tumblr media
Meet Mono and Chrome, two popular VTubers who think they’ve been hired to host an independent reality tv show… only to be knocked out and wake up in a locked room with shock collars. They’ll be forced to host a killing game in place of the mastermind themselves.
Nether want anyone to die, and even try to prevent murder whenever they can. Unfortunately, both have no choice but to follow through with hosting, as the mastermind threatens their safety on a regular basis. Not only that, both have to maintain a facade of normalcy unless they want to suffer the mastermind’s wrath.
Mono is the pink mascot, and the clown of the duo. Having attended university for stand up comedy, she can crack a joke in even the most dire settings. However, she’s the least good at hiding her emotions and tends to crack under the pressure of the situation, often leading to her being electrocuted. She tries to prevent murders by hiding motives and promoting reconciliation between anyone having an argument.
Chrome is the blue mascot, and the straight man of the duo. She’s much more mature than Mono, and usually keeps to herself. That being said, she’s known to scare participants by appearing suddenly behind them if she thinks they’re up to something. She also will lock people or potential weapons in rooms if she thinks a murder will take place.

Dangan- FuckThis is a parody of the Danganronpa series. I have 3 characters left who need designs and I’m happy to say that the killing order has been decided (by the google wheel)

Review: Scream VI (2023)
Scream VI (2023)
Rated R for strong bloody violence and language throughout, and brief drug use
Tumblr media
Score: 3 out of 5

We've got a moderate Democrat in the White House, Y2K aesthetics are coming back into fashion, and everybody's hyped up for a new Scream sequel. Buckle up, folks, it's 1997 again. Scream VI (the number returning, this time as a Roman numeral) is a film that takes heavily after the second film in this franchise, the protagonists now in college and dealing with the legacy of the events of the fifth movie that preceded it. As far as Scream sequels go, it's pretty middle-of-the-road in a franchise that's always had a high bar for quality, ranking below the second and fifth films but ahead of the fourth. Outside its heavily advertised New York setting, it doesn't really do much new with the franchise, instead existing as a vehicle for fanservice in the form of both returning characters and references to the older movies, and there were a lot of moments when I thought it could've afforded to be a lot more daring, in terms of both killing off established characters and making full use of the fact that it's set in the Big Apple. That said, the Carpenter sisters have grown on me as the series' new protagonists, the kills and the buildup to them were highlights, and the moments where it did step outside its comfort zone, especially the opening sequence, sent me for a loop. Overall, it was a film that had a lot of missed opportunities and felt like the series was coasting in franchise mode, such that I'm not really comfortable giving it more than a 3 out of 5, but it was an entertaining, crowd-pleasing slasher that showed that the last movie wasn't a fluke -- Ghostface is back as a horror icon.
This film takes place a year after the events of the last one, with Tara Carpenter and the Meeks-Martin siblings Mindy and Chad having moved to New York City to attend Blackmore University, and Tara's older sister Sam following them and sharing an apartment with her sister. Tara is eager to move on from what happened to her in Woodsboro, but for Sam, it's not so easy, not only because she seemed to have enjoyed killing the last movie's killer but also because, since then, conspiracy theories have proliferated online accusing her of being the real Ghostface murderer and framing the people who were actually responsible. What's more, a new string of brutal murders by a killer wearing a Ghostface costume has struck New York, and the killer seems intent on connecting Sam to them, leaving her old driver's license at the scene of the first murder. Together, the "Core Four", as the four Woodsboro survivors call themselves, team up with a group of friends both new and returning -- Sam and Tara's roommate Quinn, Quinn's NYPD detective father Wayne Bailey, Sam's boyfriend Danny, Mindy's girlfriend Anika, Chad's roommate Ethan, the older Woodsboro survivor Kirby Reed from the fourth movie (now an FBI agent drawn in by her investigation of the opening victim), and Gale Weathers, who went back on her decision at the end of the last movie to not write another true crime book about what happened, much to Sam and Tara's fury -- to hunt down the new Ghostface, who, as it so often is in this series, may very well be somebody in their midst.
The opening scene, which starts with the requisite big-name star (in this case, Samara Weaving) getting brutally murdered, threw me for a loop and started the film on the right foot by immediately revealing Ghostface's identity (Jason, working with an accomplice named Greg) and motive (he thinks Sam is a murderer and that he's avenging "her" victims). This is an idea that I've always thought it would be neat for a Scream movie to explore, telling the story in a Hitchcockian fashion by following both the heroes and the villains with full knowledge of what both sides were up to, the tension coming not in trying to figure out the killer but in wondering if the heroes would figure out what's really going on before it's too late. It almost felt like a cheat to then have the real Ghostface step in and kill this impostor, especially since Tony Revolori's brief performance was a highlight in crafting an utterly cold-blooded sociopath who doesn't think his victims are human. This was, unfortunately, about as inventive as the movie got, and the fact that they backed off from that idea of making a Scream movie where we knew who Ghostface was right off the bat kind of foreshadowed that the rest of the movie would be quite derivative of the ones that came before it, the second film most of all. It's got Roger L. Jackson's Ghostface voice being creepy as ever, the requisite self-referential humor about horror movies courtesy of Mindy (in this case long-running franchises), and more, but in a lot of ways, the New York setting was really the only thing new about this movie.
Fortunately, when you're working with "a very simple formula!" like the Scream movies, themselves loving homages to '80s slasher tradition, it's the production values that really count, and this movie looked and felt amazing. There were a ton of great slasher moments and sequences, from a battle between Gale and Ghostface in her penthouse apartment to the scene in the bodega (heavily featured in the trailers) where Ghostface decides to finally grab a gun to a scene involving a ladder that is easily one of the most intense moments I've seen in not only the series but the slasher genre in general. Not only were there some killer chase sequences, the kills themselves were properly bloody, with stabbings, eviscerations, eye gougings, and knives getting shoved down victims' throats all depicted in graphic detail that earns this movie its R rating. If I had one real complaint about this movie on a technical level, it's that they could've made better use of the New York setting. Yes, seeing Ghostface kill people in alleyways, brownstones, bodegas, penthouses, and (of course) the New York City Subway was great fun, but if I were to really go all-in on sending up the gimmicky setting of Jason Takes Manhattan that was clearly on the filmmakers' mind, this time with an actual budget so that they don't have to spend two-thirds of the movie on a cruise ship, I would've gotten a bit more inventive. In the penthouse scene, use the location hundreds of feet up as a hazard for the protagonists to work around and Ghostface to exploit -- which would've made a great homage to a standout kill from the second film, while you're at it. I get the reference to the second film's climax of having the finale take place in an abandoned theater, but instead of a fairly generic location like that, have it at a Broadway theater during a show or a TV network (perhaps even the one Gale works for) during their nightly newscast, which would've had the added bonus of having the killer's plot blow up in their face by way of an inadvertent public confession.
The cast, both returning and new, was solid, especially the "Core Four" of the new generation of Woodsboro survivors. The MVPs were probably Mason Gooding and Melissa Barrera, the former getting a lot more to do as Chad than simply hang around in the background (especially with his romantic subplot with Jenna Ortega's Tara) and the latter having improved considerably since the last movie, growing into her role as Sam and finding a lot to work with in regards to her troubled relationship with her past and those around her. The film seemed to be setting up an arc for Sam not unlike what the fifth Friday the 13th movie set up for Tommy Jarvis, or the fourth Halloween movie set up for Jamie Lloyd, and unlike those series, I can see the next Scream movie actually following through on the darker directions they take her character rather than chickening out. Seeing Hayden Panettiere back as Kirby was also a treat, especially once the movie started throwing some curveballs with regards to her character. The killers, however, were a weak spot. While the film did do one new thing from a technical perspective, and I liked how the lead killer's identity was foreshadowed over the course of the movie, their motive was recycled from the second film, and only the lead killer really left much of an impression, their accomplice feeling like an afterthought who was there just because Ghostface in these movies always has somebody to do their dirty work. There were also plot holes as to how the investigative reporter Gale and the FBI agent Kirby would not have figured out who they were, and their connection to previous Ghostfaces, from act one. While the acting for the killers saved them, overall I felt that they were the second-worst Ghostface team in the entire film series, ahead of only the killer from the third movie and the hot garbage that the TV show served up. The character of Sam's boyfriend Danny also felt completely pointless, existing only to provide some hunky sex appeal and accompany the rest of the cast on their adventure without really having much of a character of his own. He felt like a waste, there only to pad the suspect list.
The Bottom Line
This was a flawed movie that felt like it was cranked out to cash in on the success of the last one, but the Radio Silence team knows how to get the job done, and overall, it's a solid, perfectly fine installment in a series that is, at this point, five-for-six in terms of quality. If you're a Scream fan, you don't need me to tell you to check it out, but even if you're not, it's still a worthwhile watch.

Episode 10 of "House of the Dragon" is directed by Greg Yaitanes, the director who directed: "Children of Dune," a high favorite. I knew I was in for a treat.
The scenes that depict (in graphical fashion, which I appreciate) the excruciating pain of childbirth are acted beautifully by Emma D'Arcy and are tastefully filmed, with the woven of intermittent mixes of Rhaenyra's dragon, Syrax and herself; for me, these scenes establish, without a doubt, the kindred-bond that exists between Syrax and her (Rhaenyra). It is how I see their kingship in my mind. The talented director allows us to see this visually in all its beauty and agony; it grips the heart! Syrax feels Rhaenyra's pain and she is strengthening her, consoling her. Poingnantly beautiful!
Emma D'Arcy's acting in these scenes is lauded and noteworthy. I could sense and experience Rhaenyra's suffering via their acting. Highly commendable acting ability!
The above photos are poetry in motion, depitcting the agozing moments of childbirth. No words are needed here.
Episode 10 is a combination of talents: a talented director ( Greg Yaitanes) meets a very gifted and talented actor: Emma D'Arcy.
Including the poem here:
"The Poetry of Birth"
Motherhood,
The joys of the universe
The continuation of life
In any sphere
Childbirth,
Excruciating pain
Yet brings forth so much
Glee at the end
Will my heart rejoice
At th e end, my daughter?
My body can't withstand
Another blow

For the time being, it looks.
"I don't want clothes to be very functional. More importantly, Aix
What is the impression? "
Not to mention patchwork,
A duffel bag strap is attached to the back, Greg
Lauren's clothes are unique to him
Creation is embodied.
Many fabrics used by Greg
Is different from so-called fashion
Born with the purpose of. For example, military tents and bags, and boy scouts and sailor uniforms. “I wondered what would happen if I made a carefully tailored double-breasted jacket using military fabrics that are the opposite of elegance. I don't care about trends. Ideas come to mind
and others. And by putting your arm through your clothes
Feelings are more important. I want to bring out the beauty and individuality of the wearer through clothes. "
Imperfections are beauty.
Greg, who started his career as a painter, impulsively uses canvas paper to create clothing-shaped sculptures. In order to improve the perfection of the work, he sewed from the pattern to the costume designer who is active in Hollywood.
Feelings are more important. I want to bring out the beauty and individuality of the wearer through clothes. "
Imperfections are beauty.
Sewing from the pattern to the designer
I learned the basics of making and learned the tailored technique. The sculptures, such as the three-piece and choke-striped suits produced in this way, are carefully cut and tailored one by one, much like Savile Row's clothing. And, as Greg says, "Maybe this was destiny," his interest gradually shifts from paper to cloth, clothes to wear, but not clothes to wear to anyone.
Improvisational, chaotic and precise clothing making.
A huge number of tattered fabrics stored in the atelier. These cloths are beautiful one-of-a-kind by Greg Lauren's hands. It is made into clothes.
1 Jacket with shoe straps and flaps. 2 The color and unevenness unique to hand dyeing are beautiful. 3 The black tie is completed by repeating washing until it is exhausted. 4 A coat made by patchworking several types of fabrics such as tweed and wool. ● Each item is a reference product.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was the clothes I wanted to wear.
Silk tie jackets destroy the structure and matte by repeated washing after tailoring. The suede jacket is turned upside down to express a unique texture. Also, do not sew the cuffs and hem of clothes. Such a weak appearance and cracks lead to the elegance that Greg thinks. It is.
"I think the elegance is more in Oliver Twist or Charlie Chaplin than in Cary Grant or Gary Cooper. It's more incomplete than perfect.
I'm attracted to all the beauty. "
Handmade one-of-a-kind item.
Greg Loren's clothes, which cannot be mass-produced, are completed with different details such as fabrics and buttons.
I have seen and worn various clothes. From the time he was in junior high school, he usually recognized the difference between peaked labels and notched labels. However, the creation he arrived at was completely different from his uncle's ideal American appearance, "American Traditional."
"All my friends and relatives were surprised at first. Why are you making this kind of clothes?"
Greg starts hand-sewn with improvisation. In this way, one-of-a-kind clothes are completed.
1 The hem of the jacket using tent material. Keep the details such as robes as they are. 2 Shirts, ties and jackets made from paper have a perfection that even feels dignified. 3 Greg is intentionally exposed without hiding the sewing marks that are normally hidden. 4 Unique Benz design. Fraying and crashing are unique to Greg.
