We can officially say that 2020 has been a significantly challenging year for the majority of humankind. In this year, many of us suffered loss, experience loneliness, and financial hardship. Every year on New Year’s Eve, we look to the New Year as a reset or rebirth to change the path of Yesteryears. Alas, 2020 does not merely stop. 2020 taught us many valuable lessons: Put others first before yourself when it comes to community. Being kind doesn’t cost a cent. Necessity is the mother of invention and the human spirit can never be taken. Living in a pandemic and fighting for social justice measures such as BLACK LIVES MATTER, reminds us that we are to stand up for one another and protect each other. As we walk into the door of 2021, we are uncertain of so much. We navigate a new world with dedication, respect, and diligence.
