This Kieran is in AU as to what happens if Florian doesn't lie to him about Ogerpon and whatnot! Kieran still doesn't get Ogerpon and is fine with it ( kind of, as in this made him feel inferior to having friends and will always be chosen over by other people. ) His way of thinking is that maybe he should try to be nice and kind to others so that will help him get friends as he sees Florian do this the same to others. ( The only thing Kieran thinks he's not good at is having a funny personality. He is very awkward in person. ) Blueberry Academy was hard on him as he was almost practically as ignored and students tend to forget he is the champion because of his cowardly personality. Florian took over later as champion. Okay there.

You have a very clear stance about wanting there to be more examples of CSA in media, which I agree with wholeheartedly! Media like that has the chance to save people’s lives! But I never felt like it was my place to write about since I never experienced it. What are your thoughts on who is and isn’t “allowed” to make art about it?

anyone is allowed to make anything about whatever they want forever, even if it's shitty and i personally hate it, and im not joking. i don't begrudge ppl for writing about a subject, i just have my own opinions on how they do it. and so does everyone else. sometimes I'll say "I wish this hadn't been made" or say something is a waste of time and is awful or detrimental but i don't believe in the concept of actually trying to enforce who should make what kind of media because I don't think that will lead to anywhere but censorship.

and censorship has never stopped awful things from being made, for the most part it just ends up blocking art that makes people in the majority feel uncomfortable.

sometimes I stop when i'm reading something and think "wow, this is really good, I wonder if the author is like me?" and sometimes they are, but sometimes they're just trying to express something real and that makes it FEEL like they're like me. and it doesn't really matter, because you shouldn't have to disclose your trauma to be allowed to write about it in the first place.

like, i enjoy talking about my personal experiences but it would be absolutely WILD to say that people aren't allowed to make art until they confirm or deny an incredibly personal and painful experience to you. and also you can just lie about that if you wanna write about the subject, so all it would really accomplish is punishing CSA victims who dont wanna talk about it but do wanna ART about it.

0. I really dont understand the glorification of manga over anime adaptations. Like people who are making the adaptation are not artists and creators themselves? What makes mangaka better than others and absolutely indisputable, seriously?

1. 'Oh no long introduction and fillers' that actually allowed for Hughes' character development before his death. Seriously if i mention his death among my homies I'll get lots of faces clearly going through some ptsd level flashbacks, it was that impactful. I still need to take a breather when im rewatching before diving into that ep.

2. Nina. Yet again got more time to grow on us and thus aquired higher trauma inducing levels.

3. Ishval massacre and aftermath are WAY MORE VISIBLE in fma03. First of all Ishvalans are depicted as human beings, and not some background, and we get lots more on their sufferings, raids on camps, racism towards them, etc etc etc

4. Scar. Oh boi how do i even go about this. So without raging much about that beefy obviously wrong dude who got 'sense' bitten into him and started working with the oppressing gov in fmab, we have a wronged and tormented survivor of a genocide, who was justified in his vengeance and rage, was depicted as an attractive person of color despite his antagonistic role and was seriously almost cheered on in his actions by the narrartive. His interactions with his people and his moral dilemmas made his character possibly the deepest and most thought out one in the series.

5. The Rockbell doctors being killed by their own government. That's a waaaaay more interesting and damning detail on our government affiliated protagonists than just dumping their murder on a delirious patient.

6. Homunculi had their own will and desires and a way more developed story arc that had a huge impact on protagonists' morals. Being created by the humans who were desperate to bring back their loved ones and both parties are getting tormented by it?? Characters strongly driven by their own goals and staggered by their relations to their creators vs some indifferent goons in fmab. Just compare Sloths and their impact on the stories and protags.

7. Final conflict being a fight with god and his intricate plans in fmab, versus final battle vs a selfish pretty much usual person who had thrown everyone under the bus in pursuit of immortality. Adds so much more desperation flavor. Suddenly your hero journey doesn't end in epic battle for the sake of the mankind, as you would like it to be. It's just to oppose one awful person with too much power and zero care about anyone else. That's raw and that's way more plausible and relatable in our mundane lives.

8. Overall darker tone and themes of the fma03.

9. MUSIC. I dont remember a single track from fmab, but i went really out of my way in my teenage years to find internet access and pirate fma soundtrack and cry listening to it

10. ART. Sorry but don't tell me fmabs flat colors are anything to 03's soft tones and lighting

So yeah sorry, but I'll take the dark and gritty tragedy over just another shounen with doubtful messages each and every time

Ok I was originally gonna write how I wanna go back to Eddsworld and do stuff for it again but felt out of the loop with the modern fandom and shit but ended up being a rant about how I hate Beyond so like gonna write this again but keeping part of the rant cause i need to share how much i cant stand Beyond again

So like I wanna come back to Eddsworld cause as much as it was a dumpster fire for me it was my first real fandom I was apart of online so it holds a place in my heart. I mean probably technically whatever I did on Framecast was my first ever online fandom space but shhhh that dont count i was but a wondering traveler looking for my place in the world. It actually got me into Eddsworld someone made a animation to Youth by Daughter and had me hooked. But still was very important to me and my art development.

Its so crazy to me cause i was into Eddsworld HARD in the 2016-2020 era where alot of the ig modern fandom was born i watched cities fall and crumble I was deep in the amino trenches, Pork Sodaing and seeing so much historical fandom events happen before your eyes. I was watching everyone consume every piece of Prince of Mints and Moho art I was a sucker for them which probably wasn’t okay for like a 5th grader but i definitely turned out all right /j.

I left for a little bit on and off cause Hetalia was choking me and like keeping me prisoner but like it still had a place in my heart for it but like ya know i still was there but idk now I just dont find the same spark anymore from the first go around. Something changed and maybe cause i just had my tastes change and maybe cause my ex-best friend was making fun of my oc all the time but i made him when i was like 11 and figuring out identities and ways to express yourself without sticking to the gender norms and dealing with alot of stuff at the time i finally caved and just didn’t feel the same any anymore about the show.

Cause I loved that fandom more than anything but, I don’t know I just don’t know how to get back that spark and go frolic in the fields with my TomTordOc love triangle of my 5th grader dreams and just be cringe and free and feel joy again but I just cant enjoy the material anymore like THEY ARE MASSACRING MY BOYS WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO THEMM

It doesn’t hit the same and i know i dont need to consume Beyond i doubt anyone actually does at this point but i cant stand beside while they murder everything i loved about the Classic and Legacy eras.

Also just, I think I hit a road block with it too like, I got stuck on where to do and what to do with Eddsworld like. I make aus i made ocs i made a ask blog i made animatics, now what? And like idk i felt weird and like stuck in the mud with them. Also just had the friend falling out who was also the co-creator of the ask blog so now i dont know how to pick it back up all by myself again but them again i really was just doing it by myself all the time anyway so i just have to figure out how to get back into the swing of things

I have some ideas for aus and maybe just finally be free and bring my oc back from the grave for realsies and make you all consume it but, I don’t know. Im scared to come back cause also weirdly alot of the new fans are younger than me or the older fans are older than me so its kinda awkward, also im just awkward im scared to talk to people online, there is and were some people i desperately wanted to be friends with both in and out of Eddsworld but im too scared and either just watch from afar or abuse the Anonymous function in ask boxes. 

If i cave enough i might come back to Eddsworld to at least finish my lore for the ask blog cause IM SORRY I LEFT YALL HANGING I HAD SCHOOL AND THEN JUST FORGOT ABOUT IT but forever haunted by the people who like every single post and then i get excited cause i see like 99+ notes waiting for me and i think one of my new posts blew up but no its just the ew boys who screw around likes and reblog and the occasional comment

I feel the difference between Beyond and Legacy is that, Beyond is trying to horriblycopy their older brothers Classic and Legacy and almost dumb it down a bit with more childish humor, and Legacy takes inspiration from Classic: It’s different but a natural difference/evolution. Or the fact a whole new guy was writing it all with a slightly different style so he wrote what he knew idk maybe a bit of a factor idk

Also i cant stand the Tord bait sorry I cant, especially when they used to like get annoyed by the fandom by asking and then just realized he was a cash cow so like now we get Tord merch and the hints and Tori and the skit with the cavemen like OMG TORD- and he got crushed by a rock thanks gang, cause like dude I think as much as we love Tord like maybe this go around respect Larson’s choice to like not use him in the series anymore and take him out but like ig that doesn’t apply to merch so yeah lets do one more go around bring out the red one. Also. I get.. kind of nervous when I see a lot of people following me?? So sometimes I just stop posting for a while until things "settle" (mostly bc of social anxiety). I tend to be ok after a while but because of past experiences I just try to chill out and remember that people Choose to follow me. In actuality I can sometimes get pretty embarrassed over my own OCs so I mostly just post fanart on here with the occasional Spamton OC, and rarely other OCs.

Just some other disclaimer things before I forget:

My memory is pretty bad and my motivation is also sometimes equally bad. I love getting asks but I often forget to answer them, and when I do, I have to be in the right headspace to reply to them. I don't intentionally ignore them!

If youre rude / weird to me or my OCs, or sexualize either me or my OCs, I am instantly blocking you. My bar is a bit high for the first two things because sometimes I can't really tell if something is malicious or not, but when its clearly obvious with the intent to hurt, I will not hesitate to block. I mainly block bots / accounts without icons because I can't tell if theyre bots. I also block accounts that just make me generally uncomfortable, including accounts that post fetish content / sexualize stuff. If you sexualize any art I make I will block you no hesitation. My art is not meant for that and it never will be. It will never be for people like that. Im generally okay with jokes but when it gets creepy thats enough for a block.

I'm sorry that this is kind of long but I've been wanting to make a post about this for a while!! I'm genuinely so happy that people like my content, especially things that people could consider "cringe" and "embarrassing", like fan OCs. It always surprises me that people like my characters at all, and it really warms my heart to know that people are just.. allowed to make whatever they want and post whatever they want without worrying about like. Idk. Being put in a cringe compilation on youtube and laughed at. This is why I like Tumblr the most- I don't think I'd ever trust something like Twitter or Instagram enough to put my more personal art there. I also just wanna start off by saying that i know nothing about game design, i also am very very new to this blog/game and i dont want to sound overly critical or make you think that these are huge problems that need fixing, its mostly just small things i noticed that felt a little odd but otherwise didnt take away from the experience too much. You also definitely don't have to "fix" anything if these are intentional design choices. Im not familiar with these types of games at all so i might just experience mild culture shock about it. You also don't have to respond to this and you can feel free to delete this ask if you wish to for whatever reason <333

So, I think you've mentioned this already but it felt a bit odd that it was silent when there was dialogue. (I think) you mentioned you didn't want or couldn't have actual voice acting but i think any sound that indicates speech could work! Like little beepings or tappings? Perhaps that can be turned on or off in potential settings? Otherwise, i really liked the sound designs in the game!

Im 99% sure it is an intentional design choice because its a retro/retro inspired game but sometimes it felt like foregrounds and backgrounds melted together because there are only colour blocks and never/rarely any clear lines. Might also be because im colourblind but it made it a bit hard for me to distinguish where everything was, especially the fossil in the cottage living room. Definitely not a big problem, i did get there in the end, after all, but perhaps something to at least be aware of? :3

Lastly, the options menu in the dialogue looks a little out of place to me. I think it might be the black background? This might also be an intentional design choice, it just looked a little clunky to me (again, as someone not used to retro games! So it might just be a me thing!). Perhaps different/more fitting colours or outlined text with no background could potentially work?

Again, very sorry for the huge ask and if anything of this sounds.... /Bad/. I definitely don't mean for it to sound that way and i totally understand if all of this is something you dont want or cant change. After all, while i enjoyed the demo im def not your core audience as someone who hasn't grown up with/played games like these <3333

Alas I can't afford to have this game speech acted (I would like to but the costs would be phenomenal), and personally I just don't "get" having beeping or clicking noises or wah wah sounds when characters are talking, especially since the rest of the sound design is naturalistic. I just find that a really weird idea? You're not the first person to mention it though, so.... idk. Perhaps I'll try it sometime just to see if I can warm up to it.

There's not a great deal I can do about the art style at this stage - I've already spent the last year completing most of the artwork. If it helps the trilobite isn't in the main game! It's just a demo thing. If there is a particular colour combo that didn't work for you I'd be interested to know.

I can change the black background at least! I was just going for something high contrast, but I could try deep green or something.

Idk if I want my core audience to be people who play retro games - in fact I am pretty worried that point and click adventure gamers won't really be into it! So I appreciate the perspective.

Suggestion: Maybe make a tag for like, posts involving discourse, like all your posts headcanon policing scc, being really rude to r34 artists, and discussing more srs issues, I love your art but admittfly im over sensitive about fandom. Cause like, its sad to see and artist that contributes such epic things to Fandom discouraging others from doing the same.

I'm more confused than anything here so i hope this doesn't read as mean: As far as i can tell my "headcanon policing" is either me saying "sweet isn't jaded and isn't mean all the time" or "scc are teenagers" or "i think scc are siblings" which those first two are like. canon. third one i just tack on a 'dont tag as ship' tag bc i don't want ppl reblogging it and saying shit like "awwe the boyfriend's" on art where i am writing them as siblings.

now that my little reblogging spam that made me lose followers is done, a little life update no one asked for :)

i’ve been doing better than when i went on hiatus, still very busy but doing better! i didn’t feel good being on this blog and it made me feel icky for a while but it feels good to be back now :)

i’ve been looking at new schools, specifically art schools because im in my final year right now, hence why im so busy.

I learned that i should fully write for myself and only join events when im free and feel like it, not give people what they ask for but write what i want because doing it the old way is overwhelming and takes away the fun

Blog Info (Rules and Such)

First off, apologies for how rough this is...I’m not very good at this kind of thing. And honestly, I’m pretty chill.

Basic Info

This blog is an 18+, Multiverse, Multimuse OC Blog with a few select canon characters from other blogs. I have many characters that I’ve developed for more than half my life at this point.

The main Universe of this blog is a story I’ve written (on paper, sorry you can’t read it). And while it will be referenced regularly, very little interaction will happen there.

I interact with many fandoms, though primarily Pokemon, Helluva Boss/Hazbin Hotel, and Sonic.

And last, I am 99.9% mobile bound. I just find it easier, honestly. And because I can use it at the same time as doing just about anything else. As such, trimming is not exactly easy for me.

Rules

Do not Follow or Interact if you are under the age of 18. If you do and I find out, you will be blocked. This is a heavily nsfw blog, both for dark themes and smut. I tag things and will often readmore when I feel like I should, but I dont like the idea of minors even potentially seeing it. 

The above does also include intermittent reblogging of NSFW art, though mostly artistic nudity and such. Often sensual rather than outright sexual...but sometimes the latter if I particularly enjoy a piece.

I am Selective but not mutual exclusive. I’m willing to give just about anybody a chance, but I do have limits and standards. And I do favor Mutuals over non-mutuals, as well as anyone I consider a close friend. I most often dont follow someone as a means to keep my dash clean.

I do block on site anything that even remotely seems like a bot. Super weird names, no icons alongside an empty blog. I think at this point most of us readily recognize them. So if you are interested in following, make sure you do at least the basic steps to show you are a real person.

I am pretty chill, and there’s nothing that really bothers me trigger wise. However, like many, I have no interest in drama and callouts. Keep me out of your problems, I’m here to have fun. And as someone who has suffered a lot because of false accusations and bandwagon culture...I just want to do what I do.

I can write anywhere from one liners to multi para, I do my best to match when the mood sets in. I’ll do any sort of threads, and have basically no lines (outside the obvious) to what kind of content might be involved. Smut, light violence (i.e. pokemon grade), fluffy threads, and crack are the most prominent.

I try my best to respond quickly, but muse comes and goes. I’ll draft when I dont reply, and as long as a random hiatus doesnt hit me, I should reply in a relatively good time. Please don’t bother me too much about it.

Unless otherwise specified, like something tagged for someone specific. Any ic post is free to be responded to.

I accept IMs, but only for OOC. And I don’t rp on Discord...the format just burns my brain out.

Not sure if there’s much else, rules wise that I can think of. Like I said, I’m not good at this, and I’m chill.

A little bit of mun stuff

I go by Raven, though I also accept Eclipse and Dusk as names. I am a 30+ mun, Cis-male, homosexual and mixed-ethnicity between Caucasian and Native American (a near 50/50 split).

I am autistic, have various forms of anxiety and depression, and adhd. I try my best to do what I can here, but it’s not the easiest sometimes. I have been known to go on long hiatuses and lose muses entirely for periods of time. It’s not on anyone but myself when that kind of thing happens.

1) sssort of!!! yes and no :P sorry this is kinda longwinded- ive never properly done t-tober before BUTTTTT every year me and my bf compile every list we can find, go through them together, and turn them into more specefic prompts/ideas and then i turn those prompts ideas into art!!!! the thing is tho, even though i do this ritual just about every year, ive never posted it, and if i did i dont think id classify it as t-tober :P just bc im not using any ONNEE list and like. you can BARELY call what im doing 'using the prompts'. also i have like 85% of the t community blocked so i cant see/cant reblog/dont WANT to use lists from MOST people who make them
