I hate it that soft porn and female nudity has become a norm on every social media platform. there's not been a single time I haven't had to see that bizarre promiscuous content surrounding teenage girls having their nips and bosoms out & don't even get me started with those comment sections which is full of those porn addicts constantly thirsting over them. though the most abominable thing is seeing those young women feel empowered in their own objectification and feeding those incels with exactly what they seek from women. what they fail to understand is that the liberal feminism itself is a hoax and reeks of internalised misogyny. i mean now look where are these young girls and women really heading to? plus these female celebs in the west infuriates me even more for promoting and glorifying the use of OF. and guys.. have you seen the trending shows on netflix recently? i mean more than half of the content is about male sexual fantasies and 365 days-ish eroticas. ofc the male audience is flourishing on such platforms. so appalling and a really high time for us to actually do something about this obnoxious filth taking over the internet.

It’s #Medusa week for the #legendarywomenmonth art challenge! When you think of Medusa you probably think of the beast with snakes for hair and a petrifying gaze who was killed by Purseus, who took her head to save Andromeda from a sea monster. But she is so much more than a monster-of-the-week villain. Medusa was a beautiful priestess of Athena. Athena got jealous when she believed people were coming to her temple just to gawk at Medusa. When Medusa is raped by Poseidon, Athena punishes her with snake hair and stony eyes. Men would hunt her trying to take her head as a trophy, only to be turned to stone with a glance. Perseus finally succeeded when he snuck up and chopped off her head while she slept and Pegasus and Chrysaor, the children of her assault, were born. TLDR: Medusa was a sexual assault survivor who was punished instead of her attacker, was sought as a trophy, and killed in her sleep so a man could use her power to fight his battle. Some monster. Medusa is a symbol of feminine power - a survivor who was able to turn the male gaze against itself. Her identity as a woman is just as distinguishing as her snake hair because she reflects the fear of feminine autonomy, something that had to be taken and used. I've always wanted to pay tribute to someone I consider a feminist icon. The trailblazer Ida Lupino, actress, singer, writer, producer AND director in a time in Hollywood when there was no other prominent female filmmaker working in the studio system. She was a pioneer not just for that that but because she tackle important feminist and social themes in her directed films, such as unwed pregnancy and rape. one of the myriad things that I vehemently want the 5th wave of feminism to achieve is getting pornography and prostitution/sex work banned from the face of this planet. like get every porn site wiped off from the internet. and yes that includes getting rid of the OF too. we've seen enough of the capitalisation of sex or precisely of women & young girls. I mean after a noticeably exponential increase in the cases of sex/child trafficking from the past many years, it leaves us no choice but to eradicate it once and for all.

It’s the final week of #legendarywomenmonth and we are capping off the art challenge with #Pandora! Pandora famously was responsible for unleashing every evil in the world, but she is a catalyst, not a cause. The story also ignores pre-existing myths of Pandora as a life-bringing goddess, but let’s keep it simple and stick to Hesiodic myth. Pandora’s creation was commissioned Zeus because Prometheus stole fire and gave it to humanity (which at the time for some reason was only male). She was meant to be a punishment. The other gods gave her gifts - beauty, charm, grace, quick wit, needlework and weaving - while Zeus gave the “gift” of a vessel filled with all evil (and hope for some reason). Pandora would open the vessel, unleashing all that bad stuff and ending the Golden Age (while taking the blame for Zeus’s actions). But what was the Golden Age? There was no death or disease, but also no industry/society and without fire humanity was subservient to the gods. So the Golden Age was a dark, cold, oppressive, and endless sausage fest. Cool. So what did Pandora give us? Birth. Pandora’s daughter Pyrrha was the first human born born without being created by the gods, and she survived the flood that Zeus sent to destroy the world and became the mother of modern humanity. So it’s really a glass half empty/full situation. Did Pandora unleash death? Or did she give us autonomy, fertility, and the opportunity to live with meaning?
