I created this blog as a safe place to post about ever crisis, FF7 in general, and some of my other interests to feel at home. (Like winter photography/winter aesthetics, cute things, riku from KH, ff15, or star trek.)

I also draw fanart and make edits. Sometimes I'll post about about my feelings in relation to FF7 as a fictive.

Cloud Strife Pokemon Team !!

— • First up is Tinkaton !! Tinkaton is a steel / fairy type and I think fits extra well, in part because of the huge weapon theming, but also over all I think there’s a great synergy between Cloudstrife and them !

— • Secondly, Corviknight ! Corviknight is a steel / flying type, and I think that it fits very well, considering Cloud Strifes rank and his mastery in weapons ! Also, being able to swiftly fly away is a great way to escape situations ! Who doesn’t want a big, lovable flying piece of armor ? / silly

— • Next up, Umbreon ! Umbreon is a dark type pokemon who I think Cloud Strife would’ve had for a LONG time, maybe even since it was just a lil eevee ! Umbreon levels up with friendship percent at night, which I think Cloud Strife’s “cool arrogant guy but actually really nice underneath it all” type of personality ! Also the color pallets match which is a bonus lol

— • Continuing on, Aegislash ! Aegislash is a steel / ghost type ! I think Aegislash fits for two reasons : one, really big sword . Okay okay, but seriously ! Imagine Cloudstrife in a battle wielding his sword then BAM ! SECOND SWORD ! Secondly, the warrior / soldier type role goes into this pokemon as well , with Aegislash having both a sword and a shield form !

— • Aaaaand it’s Raichu ! Raichu is an electric type pokemon and I’ll be honest I was basing this a LOT off of vibes . . . I just think it fits !! Imagine Cloudstrife with a Raichu its just so fitting !! They’re cool dudes, he’s a cool dude, it just kinda makes sense / silly

— • Last but not least, Banette ! Banette is a ghost type pokemon who I based a lot off of Cloudstrife’s backstory. . . Anyways ! Him carrying around a Banette / having it follow him around is a very cool idea, I can imagine him bragging about how cool and talented his Banette is and it just sitting in the corner like smiling ominously . . .

The basis of a transfem Cloud Strife reading comes from his relationship with Zach Fair and SOLDIER, as well as the whole minor arc of him crossdress.

Cloud is very much a repressed character, especially looking at his backstory. He's basically a loser who joins the military to escape his piece of shit life and is so dissociated that at the first sign of actual conflict he introjects his best friend to be manly enough to understand anything that happened to him. While there's nothing strictly transfem about that, considering the high rates of DID among trans people and how much identity is a big part of Cloud's story it seems to fit. He basically just reads as the basic dissociated pre-transition transfem system.

In regards to the Honeybee Inn stuff, Cloud fucking loves the whole dressing up thing. Like he goes out of his way to make his outfit as pretty and as passable as possible. While obviously he needs to sneak in so he needs to look the part, it's clear he's at least somewhat enjoying this. While I acknowledge that not all cross dressers are trans women, I don't feel like I need to make the connection here.

Additionally, Cloud basically only gets along with his female party members, which is even more noticable in FF7 R. I know this is mostly because they try to up the waifu factor and the like and just general half-baked writing, but it still feels like your classic trans woman who feels kind of generally awkward around men.

open question to the transfems of tumblr: have you ever been asked to not talk about your body/transition, not use your name/pronouns, or otherwise been policed in how you talk about your transition in trans spaces (on or offline) because it “makes transmascs dysphoric?” if so, please share your experiences on this post!

The last thoughts i had from within my body where of you. I felt myself getting closer to the planet than i ever had before, i felt my prayers being heard and starting to speak back to me like a crowd of eager whispers growing clearer. And i felt it. Cold and sharp presence behind me, long before the blade ever touched me. I knew he was behind me and i knew he was a coward for it. It hurt of course, but when my eyes opened, i refused to look at the sword emerging from between my ribs. I looked at you. I was so happy you where there. I knew you where scared i could see it and feel your restless fear all the way up to that platform. But when i felt my body growing more detached by the second, i couldnt stop thinking of how happy i was that you where there with me. I didnt think you could stop it or save me, in the back of my mind i didnt want you to since this was supposed to happen, but i was just glad to see you with me. I wanted to tell you it was okay, i knew i wouldnt be dying in a traditional sense but i couldnt explain that all at the time. I think my body stayed whole for a bit after my soul went on to give you all a chance to grieve. I could feel you all there, when my soul was in tune to the life stream it was like i had a warm blindfold on and was feeling everyones space and care. Even if you were all sad and crying i could feel it and i was happy. I knew i would find a way to let you all know i was okay but there was other things to do before that at the time.
