So it turns out there's a big craft guild organization thing only a few hours from where I live (I saw an ad for their craft fair), and I got like half my holiday shopping done on their website, and the box arrived today! The thing I was most excited to see in person is fragile, though, and it's really well wrapped in bubble wrap and I don't want it to break when I mail it to the friend it's for, so I am not unwrapping it, but oh man the temptation is there lol I also got myself a little metal bug made of a bottle cap and some wire. It lives on my little corkboard where I put postcards and thank you cards now
#the person behind the yarn#I have gotten a little sewing done today during my lunch break#but not much! not much#these unprecedented times sure are not good for my stress levels lol#but the indoor wasp is outdoor wasp again#and I managed to successfully request prescription refills from two of my doctors this week#(for different medications) so that was good! I'm allergic to an inactive ingredient used by most pharmacies in one med#so I have to get just that one medication from a different pharmacy chain and it throws doctors for a loop every time#other good things: I had the answers ready for a question my boss unexpectedly asked during a meeting today#when my dad last went shopping he got more kleenex and the boxes have flamingoes on them so that's cool!#uhhh my dad is volunteering more which means I get to help out more with some prep things for volunteering#which is great I miss volunteering but I can't do what I used to anymore#for the record I did make this post almost entirely to convince myself not to unwrap the super cool thing for my friend#the other small percentage is because I really like the metal bug#I want to make some metal bugs#I don't think I have any of whatever the artist used for filling the bottle cap but I have hot glue that'll probably work#...I think I'm going to make some metal bugs

#love bullet#manga caps#bulletcaps#the actual worst case scenario for a person who doesn't fall in love: a love potion!!#listen this manga feels very amatonormative... and it is sure... but theres also random tidbits like this every so often that feel#like maybe aromanticism actually has a space in this worldbuilding as well???#like several chapters in the cupids are trying to set up this boy with this girl who has a crush on him#and it turns out that they cant just shoot him and make him fall in love with her#they even try it just to prove the point that it doesnt work like that#the person they shoot needs to be ABLE to be in love with the other target#that arc isnt resolved (as of queueing this) but its not even that he's gay or aromantic - hes just 'not in a place' to be able to#return the girl's affections... so the cupid's cant make him#which means i would LOVE if there was an arc later (if the mangaka is given time to develop this story enough!)#where theres an aromantic character the cupids can't 'make' fall in love with ANYONE#and also?? if there's some addressing the fact that the cupids themselves can't fall in love?#in fact koharu's backstory is even that she never fell in love while alive#and there's this timer on the story where if she can fill out her karma meter she gets to return to life 'to try to fall in love again'#but all the other girls mentoring her are like.. they've been dead a lot longer? it feels like filling up the karma meter must#take a long time? and meanwhile. do some of them even WANT to return to life? why would they WANT to fall in love?#anyway i'm trying not to force aromantic goggles on this cupid story TOO much... but i would love the author to get the chance to#prove me right lmao

we've got the rules documentation at the ready. our next step is to finalise locations & create accommodating excel documents for locations/housing with a view to do a relationship chart at a later date if desired. we have a tier system we will be writing a document for too; which explains ranks, what they are, what they mean & what rewards they give - as well as how to attain them. you'll see the rules document mention earnable muse slots, which is part of the tiers.
mod recruitment will be underway shortly, as i believe it is crucial to have mods on board to help discuss new ideas, plans i've come up with and ways to implement as well as locations—allowing mods to contribute their own locations, npcs, etc. as a gentle reminder, we are a 21+ only discord server.
#overseer mod.#Rules have undergone another rework. Ban lists have been properly separated with explanations and additional bans added for both.#We will not be answering questions about why a character is soft/hard banned for now as we're prioritising getting our documents ready.#Majority of them are done however we want there to be plenty of inner city locations to explore.#Outer city locations will be listed but temporarily unavailable for a couple of months until people are settled.#I estimate we are still on time for soft opening.#We may open reserves early as we offer two weeks for them.#Muse cap has increased however the week wait to app a new muse in after your third is still in place.#Please do not rush to fill your slots!
