Don't mind me - just thinking about how Hollywood has a The Crow remake on the cards within months of that director being killed on set by Alec Baldwin with yet another not-really rubber bullet. Quite distasteful, no?
Truly, they should be cautious in remaking a film that got someone killed, and learn that some things are better kept sacred, left untouched. If anyone on the remake's production team respects Brandon Lee's memory, then they should cut his final scene out or axe the film entirely
So a little muppet headcanon of mine is that the muppet christmas carol is an in universe production as well to the muppets universe as it is to us (so like the muppets are genuinely real people in universe for those who don't understand), and during the inital talks, gonzo talks about how it's a shame that the adaptation will probably not have the prose of the book, and he gives some examples, this then leads to his coworkers discovering that gonzo is a big classic literature fan (maybe also has a literature diploma as well?), which then leads to gonzo being offered to play charles dickens as the narrator and is also consulted for behind the scenes production such as scripts, settings, and maybe even historical accuracy
