Visual language - Final poster development
main poster:
Here I started changing some of the imagery to make it link more to the eco-friendly brief. I included more paper textures to link to recyclability and added in more shadows and plants around the boarder to frame the information and link to the idea of light being generated from kinetic dance floors and solar stages. I added in a 3d paper earth to enhance the eco-friendly component.
secondary poster:
For the secondary poster I followed a very similar composition with the same shadow and plant imagery and textures but added information about what makes the Impact Festival a green event around the earth imagery. After conducting some research about different famous people who talk about the environment I replaced the artists with these names and will add the artists back in on the social media assets I will design later on.
FINALPOSTER 1
FINAL POSTER 2
FINAL POSTER MOCKUPS
These digital posters would be posted around The Eden Project and Cornwall universities to help promote the festival to the younger age group such as students and to people that visit The Eden Project who likely have an interest in the environment.

Final Reflection & Summary
It’s almost impossible to put into under 200 words what I have learnt over the course of this semester in GRAP2199 but here we go:
Weekly, we moved historically through what has made design what it is today. I have gained a deep understanding of the key movements and periods of communication, first with interpreting communication as a visual code through paintings, carvings or movements like postmodernism. Each theme we touched on challenged us to discover new connections between the history of communication design and our contemporary practices. Pictograms are connected to emojis, grid typography is connected to Adobe postscript etc.
Beyond the classroom, the lectures and readings I have learnt about myself as a designer. My outcome that I wanted to achieve was to learn how to use illustrator and InDesign, I can happily say I achieved this goal. I also learnt how to better my designs with the help of not only historical contexts but from my peers and Bailey.
Missing out on what might have been the most practical of courses was disheartening, but it also demonstrated to me that I have resilience, if I can adapt to moving my whole life essentially into my bedroom, I can adapt to any design brief that is thrown at me, and I can overcome any initial fears to work at my best
Thanks so much to all classmates, Bailey, Karen and Andy for a great semester! P.s Sorry Bailey that my posts are always so long

(A piglet quote I quickly illustrated to finish the semester!)

Sabriel Advent Days 24 and 25: Late and Presents
And FINISHED! Only one day late. Which also, you know, kind of fills the first prompt... Okay, so this is actually a single chapter split into two chapters, but it’s what I did.
https://archiveofourown.org/works/21674167/chapters/52433632
A huge THANK YOU to @holydean and @6-wings for creating the Sabriel Advent prompts and opening it up to random people on the interwebs. I never would have written...let’s see, it’s...geeze, it’s almost 25k words this December without you! Or, well, I might have, but they would have been on my WIPs, and where’s the fun in that XD?

It was 5am (Hear is your freedom? - The Preacher Choir)
I listen I stare eyes see that I care
But these banners of pride once struggled for fair
I listen I stare eyes see that I care
But this banter bout borders
Leaves me writhing in despair
I listen I stare eyes see that i care
But these children are dying
From inaction FB share
I listen I stare eyes see that i care
But is it real ?
disbelief is chosen over here and here
and we hear death calling there names
over they’re different than hour ours
who do you think There are? Better!?
I listen I stare eyes see that I care
Got bullets and guns and fear to spare
I listen I stare eyes see that i care
Bout freedom bout liberty bout truth
About Amer I cant
Give freely or compassionately
Because why I chant
My thoughts my feelings translate to My fact
My freedom my liberty is to much to pay that
Alien animal criminal with wetback

Submission and GG!
This will be the final post of the blog. After using Gdevelop for a whole semester and creating 4 games with it, I have learned that Gdevelop while simple, is quite useful. I used to think that it would just be like Scratch, but although it is similar, allows for much more complex ideas to be turned into games to be played.
Reading the Book by Fullerton was also very interesting and helpful as it gave me a lot of insights on the game development process and what is the best course of action for each stage. It was very long but it was equally as helpful and splitting it into a few chapters a week was the best way to go about it as reading took quite a bit of time.
I actually had a lot of fun using Gdevelop and creating games this semester as there was no real “code” but rather building blocks were used. I am not a big fan of coding languages as I cannot understand them well and have no interest in learning them either, but Gdevelop was very simple to understand and would definitely recommend it to any other new game developers.
Our group put our best efforts into creating Builders Vs Bots and I hope whoever got to playtest it and will play it in the future has loads of fun with it and feels inspired to make their own games.
Well, this concludes our journey together. GG!

Final Post! GG!
This is going to be the final post on this blog. I hope you enjoyed exploring game design with me and I hope that some of these posts were interesting or inciteful for somebody.
We had some setbacks and eventually needed an extension, but I think our group submission and this one is representative of all our hard work, which I hope pays off!
GG!

Final Day, Final Poster ✨
Day 27, Mam kinda approved my emotional abuse and hoarding idea...last official class...after that we had kaafi online offline...interactive and normal submission changes but I guess I did it alright.
I had to change my idea from interactive to regular but I made 2 different prototypes for the final poster. I like both but I mean it was few days of working day and night.
This module was pretty good, I learned a lot plus enjoyed the classes. That happens very rarely. But I'm happy with how it went.

IMAX LIVE POSTER DEVELOPMENT
These are photos which I took at a live concert. I would like to use these to showcase the atmosphere of a live event but create the poster in a way which looks like its from a screen.
I tried taking these photographs and cropping them to focus on certain elements of the concert such as the lights, the smoke, the singer and the crowd. I laid these out in a blocky layout to see how they look all together.
I was not happy with this outcome, I don’t feel like it captured the IMAX essence and looks too much like a flyer for a concert not a poster for an IMAX experience.
For the Live poster, I started off by placing my finished logo on top of the best concert image I had and tried out different compositions. I next tried a new technique where I used the IMAX 1917 poster as inspiration and framed the photograph with a box to create framing in the photo and to also give the text something to sit against.
I also updated some of my logos as I wanted to make them less detailed and more contemporary and easy to look at. I would like to include the extra details in the idents when I come to make them to give myself more to animate and work with.
On the posters I will also include a QR code for the tickets and also a tag line of 3 words to describe each experience. This helps give the audience an idea of how each experience differs from each other and also what to expect.
