car-centric infrastructure encourages high-stress, high-risk behavior. a key example of this is long road trips inducing exhaustion in solo drivers.

a walkable city that is well-served by transit can encourage high-stress, low-risk activities. these occur most often when someone takes too many edibles and has to get across the city on the metro. yes it may be a harrowing experience, but altogether the total risk profile is quite low.

we should build more infrastructure that accommodates taking too many edibles.
