Just watched the Unicorn Academy movie. My thoughts... (spoilers)

Broadly, the graphics ere great, but it's the first time I've really found symbolism in a movie I dislike. Hopefully this is a future plot point that they work with and fix

(spoilers below and more thoughts)

- The good guys away the bad guys kingdom. Of course the few bad guys left would want revenge.

- What's up with the magic stone wall? What is behind it? Why is it never brought up again. They must have gone past it, but it isn't a big thing anymore. Didn't protect the school or... anything? Why was it there?

- Why was the Dad's horse outside the barrier.

- I also haven't found a bubbly character so annoying before. Her jokes don't hit for me. They keep giving her "surprise" lines that make sense. And then they give her dumb moments, and dumb luck moments everywhere.

- It felt like Sophia's friends were always watching her. Too closely. Like... it's a bit unrealistic tbh. Everything was about Sophia in an on the nose, Cringe kind of way. I do love them showing Sophia growing, and as a fellow rule breaker, I feel like she could sympathise with the baddie. I hope they can create peace for their species.

Just because I'm proud of this fact for some reason (I don't know what it is, just feels... cool 😎) the first movie of 2024 I watched:

EVIL DEAD RISE

Because Evil Dead is probably my favorite franchise, Trick or Treat being my all time favorite (I'm pretty sure there's gonna be a second one, that makes it a franchise, right?) Anyway, it's amazing and I think everyone should see it, my humble opinion.

beautiful beautiful deeply camp coming of age story with layers and so much life. ive gained twenty new sewing projects from the opening shots of Barbieland alone. made my gf cry. 20/10

This week was Blue Monday: the saddest day of the year. Therefore, just like in a week which is Friday/Tuesday the 13th, you gotta have 7 bad days in a row. Since I believe in these three days I've mentioned before, perhaps drawing a bit of horror will get me out of the misery. Not for Glen - the bed sucks him up first! My favorite thing about Nightmare on Elm Street is Johnny Depp: that's right, his first movie, where he wears a swanky crop top and has the most iconic death sequence! You gotta admit Craven's gory geyser indeed was revolting. But there are worse deaths than his, such as Debbie in the 4th nightmare! Just remember - go to sleep and worry not about Krueger's blades...sleep deprivation gives you a higher risk of diabetes, for insulin is regulated during sleep! Also, forgetting about his existence is the way to survive him. Hope you like it!
