Refuses to get up anytime before 10am so u probably just end up falling back asleep.

Wakes you up to go downstairs and make breakfast “together” bc let’s be honest this man can’t even boil a rock.

Taking a bath/shower together is a MUST

Deeefinately forces you two to wear matching pjs or like those sets where the guy wears the pants and no shirt and the girl wears like, the huge shirt without pants or sum

You would walk into the living room and just find it like, STUFFED with presents and he’ll just sit there with the smuggest grin on his face while u just stand there looking stupid.

If it’s your first Christmas together I can imagine he would be scared out of his mind about whether you would like the presents, whether you are proud or happy with him, whether they were even good enough for you. E.t.c (he would never let it show though)

If it isn’t your first Christmas together though he would probably still be nervous but probably more confident in his gifts. (he just wants to make you happyy*sobs*)

I can see him getting you sentimental stuff like an instrument you had as a kid or your favourite book but also just random expensive shit like a diamond bracelet. Or something batshit crazy like a lambo or sum.

I feel like you would get him something extremely sentimental and something he really wants, and you give the sentimental one second to catch him off guard.

Like imagine giving him the most expensive box of mochi you spent an entire month's worth of your salary and he gets all excited then you shyly slide him a scrap book full of pictures with you two throughout the whole year or since you got together.

And you do that sappy thing where you leave half of it empty for memory’s you’ll make in the future. Ewwwwwwwwwwwww

I feel like he would just look down at it too stunned to speak with big bug eyes and when he looks back up at you he starts tearing up

He would hug you and like, genuinely just breakdown into sobs, and he won’t stop for like another good two minutes.

Like, that is genuinely the best, sweetest most heartfelt gift he has ever received.

From then on I can fully see him always carrying a polaroid with him everywhere he goes just take pictures of you two together, (but mostly just you really) And when he gets home he pulls out the scrapbook and gets to work.

I can just imagine like, walking into your room and seeing him in his pjs on the bed doing that thing where you lie on your stomach and kick your legs back and forth and he’s like, sticking a picture or drawing hearts around a picture of you with his tongue sticking out. I can’t imagine him really wanting to go out so you would probably stay at home baking cookies, snuggling watching movies and doing all that lovey dovey shit couples do.

I just wanted to stop by to- for one- tell you that your art is absolutely beautiful! You have such a fluidity and waterlike quality to all of your drawings, they remind me of single frames from old school Disney, like they should start dancing around my screen at any second.

I was wondering, (I'm sorry if it's annoying, you probably get this kind of question a Lot 😭) how long did it take you to get where you're at? Or- how long did it take you before you were satisfied with your artistic quality? I'm a baby artist (if you could count me as such, I started last week 😭) and I know it's gonna take me probably 5+ years to get where I want, but I can't help the insatiable curiosity

hmmmmm! im in my late twenties now and have been drawing on and off since primary school (tho i had a big gap in middle/high school before picking it up again a few yrs into uni) and can only say that i only got to Some sense of satisfaction a few yrs back, which coincided with going fulltime freelance and Drawing A Ton All The Time because of that (paired w/ the external validation of having folks wanting to pay for my work)

i also became more conscious of what demotivates me when it comes to art, being comparing myself to others mainly, and am now usually able to nip that in the bud before i go into a wild death spiral lol.......... i dont know that ull ever be completely satisfied & thats fine, as long as it doesnt stop u from trying again 🤔

i always say to beginner artists that if u can help it, really try to keep the *process* fun for urself, whatever that looks like - dont think abt how marketable it is or how many likes or whatever u get, bc when ur just starting out that stuff is just going to make u feel bad

when u think about what u want it to look like in the future dont beat urself up if it feels like ur not getting closer - tbh, by the time 5 yrs have passed what u want from ur art might be really different from what ur thinking now & thats All Good Babey

hmm what else... it might be interesting to know that ive never taken any formal art education/classes besides middle sql 'drawing' - i think that shows in certain aspects of my work (perspective LOL) and potentially slowed down my progress but personally when i find artists i Really Like and that stick out to me theyre usually also self taught!!

Original character doodles!

I've had these ideas for a while but only now started drawing them after brooding the ideas a little more.

This story is called Evergarden (yeah, because Violet Evergarden is the best lesbian main character ever, even better hence all my characters are women/feminine/female, and also because-). It centers around a world that's inside the dream of a Lovecraftian god who has started to refuse to let things die, no matter how mangled or old they are.

Most of the characters I've created are the powerful weirdos who set out to kill this god in her dream to wake her, ready to give up the world they live in (by, yk, making this god stop dreaming) to finally allow the ones who are suffering to die.

Big, mossy goddess over here is Eureka The Bored. Her entourage even has a cute jester made from light and darkness itsef to keep her company as she wallows in her melancholy

Since this is a world where science and magic copulate, they will also through the protagonists. Say cheers to Hermes & Helena

O Negative is one of the three first god slayers who came up (technically four, counting Helena's mentor, but eh). After losing their team (they just split) to a grand but failed attempt at killing the god (the thing they'd been working hard towards for years, now realizing if they can't do it at their strongest, all would be fruitless), they're not seen again until they hear a team of crazy strong new youths have assembled to try again in earnest, resurfacing completely unannounced to lend their strength. They end up indeed offing one of the two guards of the god and drink her blood (it's a power up, obviously.)

It gets them a little high, which is the drawing on the top left.

Their attacks are long range. A vessel must be pierced by the needle attached to their nape. From there on their blood will be under O Negative's control.

Ester is one of three vessels for the universe bending experimental powers of a corporation called Martyr. They're like a sciene mafia who is looking to destroy the god's world from the inside out.

Ester's power is obviously summoning the symbolic representation of stars. Except, when xe does, actual lights from the night sky fall to be used by xir. The stars work kind of like shuriken, except xe can fluctuate their size. Xe uses this power quite recklessly, too, which is not an immediate problem to Martyr, but a phenomenon many around the world continue to observe and find displeasure in, making the organization (amongst other reasons) wildly controversial.

Rica is a capable spy, hired by a mafia to shadow Martyr and its projects. She is however caught and subsequently tortured (yet remains stubborn).

Having caused trouble again, Ester is caught up in not having met xir duties again and volunteers to do some company dirty work to appease the superiors. Of course when xe catches wind of a lady who needs to be tickled for information, it's all Ester's.

Xe're so intrigued by the free, vastly different life that Rica lives, that Ester soon dips the organization to pursue Rica (who is quite annoyed about being objectified for her lifestyle, yet can't deny how nice it is to have people clinging to her. When she finds out Ester is anatomically female during a bath in the river, though, it's all over for her barriers).

Project Inside Out

As mentioned, Martyr's goal is to destroy the world artificially. But this theory has been controversial within their world since nobody knows how the dreams of a god would work and if the world would truly end if the planet was swallowed by a black hole, along with the stars in the sky or the god's dream wasn't her own anymore.

They locked him up because of the radiation emanating from his brain coupled with his whimsical nature. The hallucinations they cause are dependent on its mood and vary in intensity. He can also tie a person to his power directly by a consentrated beam or touch, which'll last for an hour with long-term after effects.

Team Schrulle

They've got the vibes of a team of scientists who solely got together for the cause. After failing in the god's lair after half a decade of training they were just like "Oh well, that won't work" and went their separate paths.

Except Yumeko and Rho did go on to have Hermes (the former being a hermaphrodite), but she ended up on the steps of that convent, so yeah. They split.

Needless to say: the OST for this whole thing would be Antasma's battle theme from Mario & Luigi Dream Team Bros

Broken Parts - literally have been working on this since the beginning of 2022 (🫠hdjdjdjf don’t have much to show for it but still). It’s my baby bc it’s my first big au fic like ever and it’s a rollercoaster for me bc I still don’t know the entire plot 😂. But I love it bc I like my writing in this and worldbuilding is so fuvking fun.

All Wrapped Up In One- this is here bc it’s pure fluff and it was probably my most popular commented fic ever. I was really happy people felt warm and safe reading it bc it felt like that writing it. It made me wanna write more soft stuff like this.

How Beautiful it is to be Loved - when I get fixated on a couple in a show it’s hard to write ab anything else, so I was really excited when I wrote this because I felt like I was able to do some Justice for other characters in the series as well.

My Heart Hasn’t Felt Like Mine in a Long Time but the Closest it’s felt is in Your Hands- I love writing kid Theo and hfjfjfjf I still like reading this fic and I was pretty proud when I posted it bc my writing was starting to look like stuff I liked to read. Also this is my first part of my chimera pack series and I’m happy how it started. Also writing Theo kinda really helped me fall back in love with writing again.

WOOO YEAH i love talking about my dreams they are so Strange um putting all of these under the readmore bc. they are so fucked up sometimes SJFLDJFLJSJF these ones are more horror oriented bc those are some of my favorite ones. i am just listing 4 for now, because this post got very long. i can post more of them later maybe. i have a LOT more but these are just semi-recent ones i can access easily.

1: had a dream a was a little victorian boy (like 3 or something) on vacation with my family and we were on a train but oops!!! we got on the demon train by accident. the conductor surgically removed all of the skin off my face, taxidermied it, sewed it back on, and then sent me to a shadow mirror realm for 18 years. i got back to the Real realm and it turns out it had only been 3 years for my family; but they had still all been distorted beyond recognition and made into worse versions of themselves. my father had turned into a weird goat man, my mother resembled a deep sea fish, and i couldn't remember what happened to my sister or brother. they also didn't recognize me because i had aged 18 years. the rest of the dream was me trying to reverse their transformations.

2: had another one in which i was trapped in an extra-dimensional liminal space that changed and grew as i explored it. It had video game physics which is always fun. when i walked there was view-bobbing and my hands were always visible in front of me, like a first person shooter. i could also sprint jump and b-hop and side sprint and stuff like that. there were also small creatures that latched onto me and tried to kill me, but my hands were extremely lethal (they caused instant burning pain to whatever they touched, and if i pressed my hands against a living thing it would 'melt') so i was able to fend them off. this meant i was basically unbeatable, but could still be hurt.

^this is vaguely what i looked like. i could only see my hands but i'm pretty sure the rest of me wasn't 100% human. i'll draw something better later maybe.

3. a more tame one i had recently was i got trapped in a fantasy video game by accident and ended up in a village that used pinecones as currency. so i had to grow pine trees. and then this other guy started growing saplings on MY farm plot and i was PISSED. he showed me his farming techniques though so i let him stay. time passed very quickly, each hour was a new season, so four hours was a 'year'. i did not realize the implications of this until about two weeks (about 80 'years') had passed. the npc villagers started aging and disappearing and the guy who i planted trees with turned to face me and his face was rotting away. he told me i took too long.

4. less tame one. I had a giant maggot parasite that replaced all of my organs and it tried to control me via telepathic mind battle?? but. i won the telepathic mind battle. so now i WAS the maggot. and i was piloting my own body with weird nerve things and instead of organs there was just a giant maggot in my abdomen but i WAS the maggot and i could feel myself inside of myself. it was like if you could feel your organs against the inside of your skin. incredibly unpleasant sensation. i had to hide the fact that i was a maggot because usually the maggot wins the psychic mind battle and kills people so if my doctors found out i had a maggot parasite in me they would kill me.

Okay so i have a few thoughts sorry obviously you don't have to answer i just want to write them down and you seem like a really sweet person so i thought i'll send it and maybe you or someone can add something to it🤗

Firstly we know that the band didnt expect atvb to go viral on tiktok and the really big popularity on the internet and i think matty once said that the play doesnt work well like that bc you cant film a play and im sure they're gonna count on satvb going viral and im really interested what kind of changes that would mean (maybe know phones but i dont think they would do that especially since the team75live's thing is to go live every concert and we know matty talked to them personally). But on the other hand after this year it seems like they only go viral if matty does something particularly stupid and/or offensive (i really hope not) so idk if it could influence the show in any way or exactly how but obviously the goal is to entertain the audience there not the internet.

Secondly atvb was 26 songs plus 10 minutes consumption and satvb is 22 songs then that would leave like what 25-30 minutes and im really really curious what they will do but i know we wont know it until the 26th but thats interesting i think bc it seems like too much time for me.

Okay lastly it seems like after the vegas show that atpoaim isnt over and thats really great but then it wasn't just something in between atvb and satvb and it'll continue and i had a thought bc tobias ryder said that satvb will continue what atvb started which was the on and off stage playing a character and atpoaim could be like a fourth wall break but after the north american tour announcement it didnt seem like it will be that but i hope at least

So, in terms of Atpoaim, here’s what I think about it’s relationship to the shows and it’s span.

As for the show itself, I do think that it’s going to evolve the ideas that began with ATVB, but I’m not entirely sure what direction it’s going to take. I think you are right. One of the first and earliest signs of Matty’s desire for change was when he would say stuff like “this show wasn’t meant to go viral” and stuff like that. And, in a sense, I get that. He’s never had to think about this additional layer of engagement. Usually, his work is within the context of the fandom. I think maybe this time around he’ll have the scenes be related to as specific theme or idea, but not entirely identical every night. Like he might still have a message behind what he wants to do/say, but he might try to approach it from different angles.

Also, yesterday, he used the words “introspective,” “Kafka” “joy division,” “Freud.” So I’m trying to think about what each of these concepts might have in common with his project and make a few guesses.

I would say, I can kinda see the hot division element. They’re very punk inspired but rather dark. Their lyrics were inspired by a lot of dystopian commentary. Taking the personal and connecting with the social. In exactly the ways that Matty’s show started out being about himself and turned into a show about being a man and the state of masculinity. And Kafka? Well, he’s the king of irony and absurdity. So, my guess is, matty is going to stretch that persona to new heights. The Freud reference and the “introspection,” make me think he’s going to draw on his ugliest and most personal feelings / thoughts and try to dramatize them. But of course inferiority is impossible to share publicly, which I’m guessing is where the irony comes in. That paradox of like how do you make the personal public without losing the authenticity. Usually, his answer to that is to lean into how ridiculous the whole rockstar persona is, but the question is, what makes this time different? What’s the point? Is it gonna be like super dystopian and depressing? Is he going to gesture towards a better future? Are we just fucked? Where does he stand right now? How does he feel about it all and how is it influencing his work?

I feel like this is where it’s all headed but idkkkk. Haha I’m super pumped to find out.

Do you have kids? no and i don’t want any. my brother has two girls and my friend has a kid and i love them but i am more than happy in the aunt role thanks

Do you use sarcasm a lot? it was tempting to respond to this with sarcasm 😂😂 yes i use sarcasm a lot i am a very sarcastic person and it’s a little problematic honestly

What sports did you play/have you played? when i was a tiny baby child i played soccer, and in grade 7 i did cheerleading which i loved and desperately want to get back into some day, even just casually

What’s the first thing you notice in somebody? idk probably their hair honestly

Eye colour? blue but they get really grey when i’m upset apparently (idk i don’t tend to look in mirrors when i’m crying)

Scary movies or happy endings? i do love some good angst or suspension but i’m a sucker for a happy ending (especially a happy ending following an angsty story that’s some good stuff)

Any special talents? does cat grooming count? i don’t wanna brag or boast so i won’t go too much into it (unless people want me to bc tbh i could probably make an essay about it) but i’m really good at what i do and a big part of it is bc i respect the cats and if they are telling me “no this needs to stop” i will always listen. cats are very dramatic and i know the difference between “i’m annoyed and this sucks” and “i am not okay with this situation and i’m warning you that you need to stop” and listening when they need you to makes SUCH a difference in the service. anyways i’m proud of the work that i do and i’m really passionate about it (and i’m kinda really good)

What are your hobbies? i watch a lot of tv (stargate mostly at the moment surprise surprise) and read/write fan fic (take a guess what) but i’ve been trying to pick up some more stuff that takes me away from screens. i started drawing, which im horrible at and i love. i started knitting, and as soon as i get the right needles im gonna make a temperature blanket. im also trying to take up swimming, dancing, and rock climbing to get into better shape! i love all 3 activities im just really bad at making myself be active so it’s a slow process lol

Do you have pets? yes!! currently just my orange gremlin, charlie (should i make a post about him i feel like he deserves a space on my blog idk lemme know if i should) and he owns my heart (even if he is a fuckin menace who ruins my life and never lets me sleep)

Favourite subject in high school? theatre in general but specifically tech theatre. i took a theatre intensive class all 3 years of high school and it was 4 classes rolled into one and tech theatre was one of them. i ended up doing stage management in grade 11 kind of as a fluke and i fell in LOVE it was so much fun i miss it

SUMMARY: Chronicles of you and Hajime, from the ages of thirteen to twenty-three.

NOTES: i was 15 when i started writing this, def not my best work, pacing is HORRIBLE, there isn’t really an overarching plot bc i wrote this mainly for funsies n to explore my writing style, i am sorry if there are any inconsistencies

Part 1: Kitagawa Daiichi, years 1-3 (17k)

You're no stranger to him.

Iwaizumi Hajime, like most of your other classmates, has always known you to be the designated art kid™. Your classmates ooh and aah whenever you showcase your artwork and boo when you decline their requests to draw them for free. They rush to be your partner for visual-based group projects even when they've never spoken to you before, but you've always preferred working alone anyway, initiating another boooo reaction.

But he also knows you're someone to avoid. Oh, don't bother talking to [L/N], they're not fun to talk to, he hears. You’re rude and unfriendly and conversation with you is always deader than a graveyard. And of course, Iwaizumi isn't one to indulge in such juvenile rumours, but considering the amount he's heard about you over the years, he's not entirely sure what to make of you.

Part 2: Aoba Jōsai, years 1-3 (20k)

When Iwaizumi thinks of time, it’s not quantified by the dates on a calendar, or a constant ticking clock counting every second of every day. Rather, he tends to imagine it in the form of a long, shallow stream that trickles down the earth, undemanding and deliberate; one adorned with all kinds of natural twists and turns and timeworn, flattened rocks that he’d use as stepping stones to get across because when he’s younger and hardly meeting the height requirements for all the big kid rollercoasters at amusement parks, everything always appears much more vast with neither beginning nor end in sight.

However, that was then; this is now.

It’s like this: he blinks and his first year of high school passes by in a blur. Another blink and there goes his second year. Seventeen is a fickle age, vicious and wayward. It is the age of in between and change, the cusp of adulthood. And Hajime — seventeen years old and fearing what lies in the future ahead of him — isn’t so sure what to do, though there’s one thing that he’s certain won’t change. It starts with your name and ends with his.

[L/N] [Y/N] and Iwaizumi Hajime — like two peas in a pod. (Maybe, just maybe, he’s liking the sound of that.)

Part 3: After High School Graduation, 4 years (3.2k)

Four years pass. Yet in the swinging pendulum of life and the theme of out with the old and in with the new, neither of you are willing to let go of one another any time soon.

7. do you outline before writing? if so, what’s your outlining process like? the short answer: never, god no. i write fully by the seat of my pants, vibes only, maybe throw a cryptic note about where i want to go with it somewhere in the doc, pray i remember what i meant by it but then also last year i spent like a month outlining for the infamous unfinished dragon age au (god rest its soul (until i grave rob it for f1, probably,)) and that was the first time i've ever gotten so serious about like. planning. to be fair i had a whole ton of source material to draw from, main plot points that had to be kept etc. but it forced me to also actively keep track of my subplots bc it was such a big project!! so!! fun learning experience!! but again, short answer, absolutely not

16. do you count brainstorming/daydreaming/outlining as a part of the writing process? why or why not?  tbh i only count it if it bears fruit?? like there are a ton of things i have orbiting my peanut brain at any given time that i put... hours of stupid daydreaming into. so yes it can be part of the process for me if i ever actually follow up on a thought! once a thing has started being followed up on, yes to all three. my fave method of brainstorming has always been to just ramble incessantly about a thought @ someone bc it always just seems to knock loose any blocks i've got about plot or vibes etc. i don't do that much anymore BUT it's the way i like 2 do!

20. how do you usually come up with story ideas?  HOO UHHHH that's a big question. idk i'm a big media enjoyer/consumer so i get a lot of little sparks of inspo from games or movies or books but also i keep a note in my phone of like, things people have said or done around me that could blossom into something?? that note also has quotes from books/games/movies it's excessive but i go back to it pretty often to see if anything sparks joy and/or interest short answer idk brain make thought sometime

I really want to start learning Chinese but I'm deathly afraid I won't be able to do it.... Can I ask how you started and if you have any recommendations for a complete beginner?

ooooo, okay so i do think to begin learning chinese if you aren't familiar with tonal languages learning from a teacher is best. There are youtube videos that can make do if you really do not have access to taking a class (bc not everyone has that access and i totally get that). basically I'd say start from getting a really solid grasp on pinyin (tones, initials, finals) and constantly practicing them, especially the tricky ones like ü in words like 雨 or 綠. I still do drills every morning before class. What my teacher taught us was to practice saying a simple sound, i use "ma" and go from 1st tone (high flat) to 3rd tone (low flat) and then 2nd (rising) to 4th (falling) and then counting up to like 100. also saying the full date out loud and practicing saying “today is .... tomorrow is .... yesterday was ...” just to practice my tones and get warmed up for speaking. this really helps to make sure you don't forget the basics.

If you want to use a textbook i started with integrated chinese (simplified) and it was pretty decent. I have a link to the version I used if you want it. Idk if you wanna learn simplified or traditional. I also have a link to the traditional book I used when i got to taiwan but its almost entirely catered to foreigners living in taiwan learning chinese. If you're more interested in taiwanese chinese then I def recommend it but it you're just kinda learning in general, standard chinese is more geared towards how people speak in northern china. I have youtube recs for both styles of chinese. Anyone can hmu for these links btw. just send me a message.

To reinforce what i've learned formally I also just listen to a lot of chinese. I always have on podcasts or chinese language music just to see what I can understand and test myself while I do mundane things like cook or draw. I also am I a big fan of gaining character recognition through media. I always listen to music and read the lyrics as i listen just to assign a character to sounds or if i'm watching chinese dramas I like to write down the characters in the hard subs to just expand the pool of characters I recognize, but that's more useful once you've gained a bit of knowledge already. Personally i think writing is kinda.. the least important part of learning chinese. like obviously I can write and I know stroke order but in my opinion speaking and listening is the most useful part of any language. I can't read japanese for shit but because I can speak it and understand I can live with my 4 japanese roommates with little communication issues. So i really would say drill the skill or understanding and speaking first. Although tbh I wouldn't say my chinese is incredibly good as I've only been learning for a year. There are others on here who are heritage speakers or have spent way more time with the language and can give you other advice that might help more, but i'm super glad for this ask btw!! hope this helps and sorry it is so long. I just, really like talking about languages!

(just a heads up, I don't keep any lists nor master spread sheets or anything, I'm just writing down what comes to my head as I read the prompts)

What has been the BL that took you by surprise this year?

First that comes to mind is Eternal Yesterday that's ending this friday, I completely wasn't expecting to be so into it, as I'm more of an action packed, and fast paced shows fan, but every week I am sat with my eyes glued to the screen.

Also Big Dragon, because I was expecting it to be like The One That Shall Not Be Named Fahlaruk level of toxic and trash, but it was surprisingly layered and meaningful, with lots of nuance.

Ghost Host Ghost House started slow for me, and I even considered dropping it, but when the main couple got together their chemistry blew me away and it made me appreciate the show more. I think the show didn't do a proper build up to the second conflict, but the couple ended up talking about the issue and it kinda made it up for me. Kevin and Pleum's chemistry is definitely one of my favorites this year.

Honorable mentions: Semantic Error, Old Fashion Cupcake, Minatos's Laundromat, DNA Says Love You, Blueming, My Only 12%, More Than Words, My Tooth Your Love, My Ride, To My Star 2 (bc we all know that sequels more often than not don't live up to the previous parts, but oh god was it good)

What has been the BL that you felt a bit disappointed with this year?

Plus & Minus, I did genuinely like the show, but it really threw me off with that random break up at the end, and now I don't want to rewatch it at all, even up until those last two eps....

Check Out and Fahlanruk bc yeah... (hopes and prayers that P'Jojo gives us the proper enjoyable messy show we all want and deserve, and not the annoying (gestures everywhere) whatever these two were),

Ocean Likes Me I was really looking forward to seeing Holland act, and surprisingly I did like his acting, but what I had issues with was that it felt like half the plot/story ended up on the cutting room floor and it didn't feel put together enough to draw me in. Also, idk if it was the make up, lighting, or what, but the other guy looked so pale and sick all the time to me.

The Tuxedo!!! The actors had such great chemistry in all the bts footage I saw on my socials leading up to the release I was so hyped, and then the show came and I was so let down... The story made sense, but the execution wasn't there, and the directing/scene choreography was also lacking, and overall I ended up so disappointed... (funnily enough, it was my second time seing The House that's everywhere now lol, I had no idea it's going to be in half the thai productions this year)(The first time was in The Player, and the rest is history),

Love Class, I truly enjoy kbls, but I really didn't feel that one, and I'm surprised they got a second season confirmed.

same, i'm definitely more needy with certain people and others i can go weeks/months without hearing from but if im being honest its bc i don't feel as close to them but they're cool to speak to every once in awhile, do u feel the same? ah my other friend texts only but i feel better when i can talk to people ;-; have u ever had text convos when it got lost in translation and became a big thing? or is that just me being hella sensitive and not being able to take something as a joke but i also can make jokes idk its weird lol. u know whats funny? i dread giving gifts ;-; it brings me sooo much anxiety.. cause i'm always like, if i get something "cheap" they'll think i didn't try, if i get something expensive, they might not like it. i don't spend much on myself but i end up spending a lot on others cus i feel like ppl weigh their importance in ur life with how much a gift costs sometimes. i'm with yoongi, at some point we need to agree not to give gifts (but ironically i love receiving them too so i never said such thing) lol. honestly i have had some really bad luck with friendships and i have often wondered if the problem is me or if i just let people take advantage of me and walk all over me too easily. have i really attracted that many shitty people who were willing to hurt me or am i actually toxic and deserved it? i don’t believe that i am. i’ve definitely made mistakes, but i’ve always tried to be careful about people’s feelings and i don’t think i’ve received much of the same respect in the last few years. the pandemic really showed people’s true colors, that’s for sure. communication is such a fickle thing sometimes and one small misunderstanding in someone’s intentions or tone can really blow up in your face. i know that better than anyone. as for jokes that don’t land, i think it’s important that someone knows where to draw the line with their words and if they know you’re sensitive about something that they do their best not to cross it. that’s happened to me as well. when it starts feeling like bullying instead of just lighthearted jabs at your expense, that’s when a potentially uncomfortable conversation needs to be had. have a backbone! stand up for yourself! it’s not a weakness.

i get what you mean about gifts, i sometimes put so much pressure on myself to come up with something good but at the end of the day i know the thought counts more than anything and if someone doesn’t appreciate what you gift them then that’s something they should probably reflect on within themselves. i’m grateful for every little thing i’ve been gifted no matter how big, small, expensive, or cheap.
