I miss feeling like magic.
I miss finding the magic in the sadness.
I miss feeling.
I miss the sadness that comes after the high of something beautiful ending.
The confidence to hit the ground running.
And running and running and running.
Why do I miss the running?

Chest binder recommendations
I’ve been researching chest binder recently, so I’m putting together all the information here so that hopefully I can help someone whose not sure what to do? I know putting the information simply can help make it seem less scary so here we go.
‼️I have not personally tried all of these, lots of the information I’m getting is from others who have reviews them‼️
Spectrum :
Price : £38 / $43.10 / €44,95
- Pros : affordable, actually works for big chests, worldwide and discrete packaging, swim safe, labelled as ‘vest’ during transactions, breathable, ethical
-Cons : very frequently out of stock
Gc2b :
Price : £30 / $35 / €35
Pros: affordable, breathable , swim safe, worldwide shipping
Cons: delivery is expensive, processing is up to 15 business days, many people have said that it stretches out over time
Recently gc2b binders have been causing injuries and have been made very cheaply - I do not recommend buying them
For them :
Price : £79 / $89 / €90
Pros : comfortable, ethical, good customer service, low neckline (not visible when wearing looser shirts)
Cons : expensive
Note: doesn’t use normal size labels, instead you put your measurements in and it gives sizes with names like amethyst or ethereal
XUJI :
Price : £27 / $27 / €27
Pros : On Amazon (quick delivery), very affordable, free shipping
Cons : On website delivery is up to 30 days, doesn’t care as much about the customer, said to stretch out easily
‼️ IF YOU BUY THIS ONE DO NOT GET ONE WITH ZIPPERS OR A SIDE CLASP ‼️ - these will DAMAGE your ribs and are unsafe, please make sure to buy the ‘pull on closer’ one!!!!
Paxsies :
Price : £53 / $60 / €50
Pros : comfortable, good for sports, low neckline, offers discounts
Cons : Not one I’ve heard of? Not as affordable
Flavnt :
Price : £45 / $50 / €50
Pros : range of skin tones, ethical, worldwide shipping
Cons: currently sold out, international shipping takes a long time
Those are the ones I’ve found! I apologise if I haven’t included the currently you use, but you can exchange them here
Feel free to add any that you recommend or any comments, since I haven’t tried any of these yet and so can’t really give a full review

saw your reblog, heres the ask :))
Im a genderfluid, afab minor who came out to my parents a few months ago and I need some help/advice
My parents have been super understanding and using my name and everything, I'm super proud
but my dysphoria has been hitting lately and I want to ask them for my first binder.
I need advice for good brands, arguments to prove this isn't going to give me cancer or something/j, and advice on use?
Hey! I’m super excited for you, hope this helps!
I really like my Shapeshifters binder, so that might be a good option (although they are pretty expensive ($85)) I’ve also heard good things about Underworks, but my binder from them honestly kind of sucked (I may have ordered the wrong size though, who knows). I’ve heard Flavnt and Urbody are also good, but I haven’t tried either. Just please do not buy Gc2b right now, their binder quality went downhill and it could be unsafe.
I would recommend playing around with how you get it on and off (it might take you a bit to get comfortable with it), and you should try not to wear it for more than 8 hours a day if you can help it.
Here’s are some articles about binder safety:

An article for your parents:

Other than that, a quick google search should get you anymore information you need. Please feel free to reach out with any more questions, and good luck!

Trying to spread the word but if nb and trans masc folks need any binders and trans tape with nipple covers , please dm me. Pictured here is a binder from flavnt street wear. You can use it to swim but I wouldn’t use it to sleep and exercise in I’m trying to get rid a couple of binders of mine. Most of them are in a size small. I also have some not pictured here that I can dm you pictures of. I have a black tank binder from Amazon, a gc2b half tank binder as well. I’ve already gotten top surgery in November. I know binders are expensive but I’m willing to give them away if anyone is interested

Does anyone have binder recommendations aside from gc2b (quality has spiraled), flavnt (out of stock), or underworks (uncomfortable material) ? I need a second one now that I'm going out so much more often, I get so sweaty I need to be able to have a second one while this one's in the wash.

should i buy a new binder . i probably shouldnt right now i dont Need a new one . but flavnt isnt sold out of my size in birch or rose rn.. but also. $50 plus shipping for something i dont need rn.. cuz ive got my older worn out one and my newer one but theyre both gc2b, i havent Noticed any (new) pain w the new one so i think it's fine- and by new i mean it's well over a year old lol. i do need a swim binder tho cuz i might actually get to go to florida this summer.. i was looking at one on etsy but im nervous abt sizing cuz my body is weird. the reviews all say it fits well (and all 60something are 5 star) and apparently the seller is rlly nice but idk how well it works on bigger chests :{ but also like it looks cool & it'd be good for summer cuz it'd be less tight .. if i decide 2 get it i might just reach out to the seller like Hey be straight with me do u think this will fit my body type. it'll all work out though 👍

Where do you recommend buying binders from in the us? I’m not in a city that sells any in person even at the adult stores. I was recommended gc2b as I have no experience binding
it really depends on your budget and body type — unfortunately, some companies do a poor job of making quality plus-size binders . a lot of people who bind seem to recommend underworks, although i can’t speak for personal experience as i’ve only had one binder from them, but it worked fine minus some sensory downsides. i’ve heard good things about for them, spectrum, and flavnt. tomboyx offers a compression top which i like because it is something i can hike and skate in, but it doesn’t bind fully since that’s not what it’s designed for.

yeah underworks is pretty good! FLAVNT also makes pretty good binders, tho i cant really say how they work on bigger chests as i think im like, average size. their binders are meant for more active shit like swimming too
but underworks is the best in my opinion. i have HUGE sensory issues with clothes and that shit just feels NICE
Ohoo!! Thank you that's really good to know!!

that post going around abt gc2b binders being shit now is well. i can confirm that the threads pull apart easy as anything, I've had a racerback tank thats fallen apart within a matter of months of normal use(~5 hours a day?). ive never felt that it compresses unevenly, but im small so that could be why. i havent tried flavnt but the underworks binder ive had since fucking.. 2014 is completely fine. the tag only fell off just the other day (it crumbled). The nylon fabric does feel like a trampoline, but its lined so thats not too bad. & the shape provides less range of motion than the racerback one i like so much im going to try to sew up the 3 or 4 unraveling seams

hey so I'm kinda uneducated on this front but I don't want to come across as rude or something, I'm just curious... What are binders?
(feel free to ignore this ofc)
hello!!
i’ll give you the five second version, a quick internet search for “chest binder” or ftm binder will give you tons of resources! a binder is basically a compression top that looks kind of like the top half of a camisole or tank top, and presses your chest flat. they’re designed for afab (assigned female at birth) people, traditionally for trans, nonbinary, and butch people though anyone’s welcome to wear them if they make you feel good!
the way they work is the front is a non-stretch fabric or material, while the back is stretchy, so when you put it on it evens out your chest/breast tissue and helps present a more masculine or flat chest! for folks like me (trans guys!) it helps with dysphoria and not feeling like i look like a man etc. you can get them from binder drives and programs oriented toward queer ppl in need, or directly from the brand like spectrum or FLAVNT, the most well-known brand is gc2b
quick n dirty binder rules are: don’t wear your binder for more than 8-10 hours. wear it less if you feel any pain. don’t sleep in a binder! don’t bind with anything that isn’t safe. do NOT wear a size smaller, you can damage nerves and bruise your ribs. if you bind while exercising or swimming wear a size up. try and take a couple days each week to not bind at all. and stay safe!!!
hope this helped a bit :D
