to tumblr’s trans people: I’m getting my first binder soon but I don’t know what brand to use. Which is your favorite? (I’m looking for something with a lot of compression)
If you’re cis and this shows up on your blog, PLEASE REBLOG FOR A BIGGER SAMPLE SIZE!
edit: I can’t change the poll, but after some research, it seems that gc2b’s binders are incredibly unsafe. Just want to put this here in case another trans guy is looking at this poll. Underworks seems to be the best option as far as I’ve seen from other people.

Hey fellow tboys who bind:
I got a binder off amazon (yes it sucks but it's the only online place my mom will tolerate me getting things from) that had a lot of good reviews from real people of many body types who ordered many different sizes but. For some reason it did not bind me like it was supposed to?? I even ordered a second in a smaller size (which I could barely even squeeze on) and it had the same result as the first one. For reference:

I even tried repositioning my boobs inside the binder to see if it helped but it didn't.
The company was LGBT unicorns.
So am i doing it wrong, are my tits just too big to bind or is the company bad quality??

Anyone have a experience with either of these ? And do you prefer half or full tanks ? Especially for bigger sized chests
(And Ik Amazon isn’t recommended for binders but these are underworks brand and we’re currently only able to buy through Amazon)

Guess who didn't learn their lesson from the first time they bought TransTape????? 🙃
(Always SATURATE your tape in the removal oil and do NOT force it. Trust the process, folks!)

I forgot how good underworks binders are holy shit. Underworks was the first safe binder I got but then I switched to GC2B until the quality dropped and then I just stopped wearing anything under my shirts for a couple years.
I just put on a new Underworks binder and I'm flatter than I ever was in GC2B. Dysphoria proof vest.

what would people think of a blog dedicated to binder reviews? Not sure if that already exists but I feel like it would be helpful
edit: I’ve done it! @binder-masterlist

my friend is a fat cis guy w tits, idk how chest sizing works but he wears regular snug tank tops under his shirts to help flatten. but like its normal for fat guys to have some chest so he doesnt bind or anything
im looking for fat transmen/mascs who have tips on binding and taping, your ask is the exact opposite of what im looking for tbh im at the edge of c and d cups, a snug tank top isnt gonna do shit for actual binder

Hey, PSA for younger/newer transmascs:
Tumblr has been showing targeted ads for "FTM binders" off Amazon. They look like this:
Tumblr media
Do not buy these.
A binder is a piece of medical equipment. If you use one incorrectly, or use a poorly made one, you can really fuck up your ribs. This article from the Cleveland Clinic talks about how to bind safely.
A $14 binder is guaranteed not to be safe. There's a reason reputable companies charge more- sometimes a lot more. They have to carefully design binders so they don't crush your ribs or make you sick.
You know how everyone says Don't Bind With Duct Tape? Don't bind with Amazon binders.

my binder has decided today to be the day it dies, specifically the zipper. now i gotta do my first clinical without it, hopefully my sports bra minimizes my boobs enough for now till the new binder comes in.
:/ last almost a full year with non-delicate bag washing machine use. mostly cus i dont trust the delicate bag listings on amazon and dont wanna use money on it if it has bad reviews.
if anyone has suggestions for a good delicates bag lmk

Attention trans masc, ftm, and nonbinary people! I'm looking to get a binder but idk what brand to get. My friends recommended GC2B but from what I've heard, the brand has gone down in quality recently. I'm relatively small chested (b or c cup) and pretty thin, if that helps recommendations at all. Please comment if you have any suggestions :)
