making Plance edits in 2025? why yes, yes i am

A Scene of a fanfiction I will probably never finish or post.

The story goes like this: Pidge get's locked out of her lab by her father to take a two week vacation and Hunk pressures her to go to Lance's farm, because they did't keep in touch after the day their lions went away. Pidge has a great time there and they rekindle their friendship. Meanwhile Pidge discovers, that she is definetly NOT over her crush and Lance starts to question, if abandoning everything and being a juniberry farmer really is the best way to honor Allura or if he is just afraid to loose his family again when he leaves the farm. Anyway, Pidge and Lance start a lively conversation via messenger and he flirts with her shamelessly through jokes and innuendo, which gives her heart palpilations and frustrates her to no end, because Lance likes to joke and flirt around and there is no meaning behind it, right? (Also Lance finally decides to take up the flight teacher job, Hunk is offering him for ages now and Hunk basically used Pidge as bait for Lance to finally say yes :3 and then they both work at the garrison and heavily fall in love and so on and so forth)

Okay but Matt being Pidge’s wingman

“Matt, yesterday Lance touched me and my skin tingled and I got nauseous, but almost good-nauseous, but that doesn’t make sense???”

“You’ve got a crush, kiddo. You’re attracted to him.”

Pidge has no idea how to proceed with these feelings

Matt tells her to ask him to do something they both enjoy

This leads to Pidge asking Lance to play video games with her all the time

She doesn’t get what this has to do with her apparent “crush” but they bond and joke around so that’s good

Matt casually talking to Lance and slipping in praises about Pidge

Matt advising her to set up a more traditionally romantic date alone with Lance

“Lance, want to get dinner with me alone in a dimly-lit restaurant on this planet we haven’t explored yet?”

“Are you planning on murdering me or something? What did I do?”

Cue Matt sliding in with a super cool restaurant suggestion

“Give him random compliments.”

Pidge actively picks the most random times to tell him he’s clever or his eyes are pretty or smth

It catches Lance off guard and he always blushes

Matt tells Lance when Pidge falls asleep in her workroom again

It’s so worth it to see him carrying her bridal style back to her room

“Touch him. Nothing weird, casual touches, but more of them.”

Pidge starts leaning against Lance like he’s a pillar or a wall

He reacts by using her head as an armrest

Plance joking around in a public space and Matt loudly telling them to stop flirting

“Gifts. Gifts are romantic, especially really personal ones.”

Pidge steals Lance’s face mask, replicates the ingredients, and presents him with a tub of the stuff the size of a watermelon

Lance then convinces her to have a little spa day with him

“Pidge chose our dog Bae Bae because she was the runt of the litter.”

Lance be like omg that’s so cute

Question for the Garden 🌱

Do we still have some sort of Plance discord server floating around the internet somewhere?? I've been having just about the hardest year of my life involving a lot of grief and depression, and honestly, i just want some semblance of the garden back as it was always a very comforting place for me haha <3

And if we don't have a discord, do we just want to make one?? For old time's sake 🥹

Sparring

Pidge fought dirty. She always did. Particularly while sparring with Lance. Taking him down was just too much fun not to do. Especially when they had an audience. This time she wouldn't even let him aim his bayard before going for his kneecaps. One yank with her cable and he went down with a panicked scream. A moment later she was already kneeing on him, threatening him with her own bayard.

"Now yield!" Pidge commanded, but Lance was only staring at her with big blue eyes. The bayard went off right over his abdoment and Lance let out a yelp of pain.

"Pidge is the winner!" Shiro announced from the far end of the training deck and the smaller Paladin lifted her weight off her team mate to join the team.

"Hunk! How long did I take?" Pidge yelled excitedly, while jogging over to the others. Lance didn't even hear his answer. He was too occupied by his racing heart.
