Zurecht, denn ihr Werk entpuppt sich auf direktem Wege als wahres Pop-Juwel, das euch garantiert nicht mehr allzu schnell loslassen wird: "Behind Every Beautiful Thing" ist der Titel ihres vierten und heute brandneu veröffentlichten Studioalbums, welches euch für die nächste halbe Stunde in eine komplett andere Welt eintauchen lässt. Klares Aushängeschild der beiden Künstler ist sowohl das tiefgründige Songwriting, das euch in den folgenden elf Tracks erwartet, als auch die beiden Stimmen, die perfekt aufeinander abgestimmt interagieren und teils auch in Form eines Duetts hervorkommen. Man erkennt sie garantiert unter 1000 anderen wieder, was sowohl ihrer markanten Klangfarbe als auch dem hohen Maß an Gefühl zu verdanken ist. Ebenso positiv aufgefallen ist uns die Melancholie und die vielen Emotionen, die Flora Cash in das Album miteinfließen lassen. Es sind Songs, die zum Träumen anregen, in uns aber auch eine gewisse Sentimentalität hervorrufen. Auf Basis von Pianos, Percussion und Gitarren kreieren sie balladenähnliche Arrangements, die im Genre des modernen Pops mit einer eindeutigen musikalischen Originalität herausstechen. Derweil erweckt der Stil in uns eine gewisse Sehnsucht und regt bereits im Opening Track "Should've Dressed for the Event" zum Träumen an. Die sanfte Ader bringt eine schöne Leichtigkeit in die Musik mit ein, die das Album insgesamt sehr einfach und angenehm zu hören gestaltet.
