I'm just saying, someone should put Tails (Sonic The Hedgehog) and Ryder (Paw Patrol) together in a lab.
You may throw Rocky (also Paw Patrol) in there too. That would be quite the sight. Someone needs to feed them bc they'll totally forget to eat so busy they'll be working together.

Might have gotten myself a spot in the crusty ww2 era little plane maintenance hangar I've been eyeing <3
Wont make much, but it's gonna be lots more enjoyable than the big jet engine shop, or any of the airlines. At least I know exactly what I'm getting myself into with this. Only issue is the flight school with my favorite little 172 is a 3 minute walk from the maintenance hangar. I would be in extreme danger every time the sky zoomies start itching >w>

🤝Solidarity in Pokemon Hell🤝
weve got the two cornerstones of the market!! I've got the sky, and you've got the sea-- now someone just needs to complete the trifecta and do a werewolf AU or something for earth

Ritter Model Cj ‘Spatz’ - "Could take on a whole empire by itself!"
Role: Scout
Served With: UWF
First Flight: 1584
Strengths: Okay at Everything
Weaknesses: Great at Nothing
Inspiration: Sopwith Pup (1916)
Description:
Ritter’s first interrupter-geared scout, the Ritter Model C is remarkably easy to fly for a rotary-engine plane due to its long tail. This hurt manoeuvrability but Ritter considered it a worthwhile tradeoff to prevent the deadly spins and stalls so common in early air combat.
The aircraft was popular with crews and helped to build the UWF Luftwaffe into a corps of experienced pilots who were capable of handling more difficult designs. After the introduction of the Singvogel the Spatz was mostly moved to advanced training squadrons because of its similar characteristics.
Large numbers of Spatz of all variants survived the war and the same docile characteristics make it an ideal fighter for poorly-trained militia today. The fact it can be mistaken at a distance for the Model F or S helps, and some aircraft are deliberately painted with disruptive patterns to make the tail look shorter and the stance of the aircraft more aggressive to assist this deception.

As much as I love brotherly rivalry, I like to imagine Scotsman tentatively asking some of the humans he works with to read The Railway Series to him during their downtime. He listens intently, hanging onto their every word. Especially the stories with Gordon. He loves hearing about everything his brother has been up to without jumping through the hoops of their petty squabbling. He may be The Flying Scotsman, most famous steam locomotive in the world, but he looks up to his brother and loves him dearly. He just wishes that he had more of a chance to tell Gordon that.

outfit of the day! (well... thursday, technically, but whatever)
haven't posted one of those (or at all really) in a while, but it's been a weird time. haven't really gone anywhere since i moved in to the new flat in september (yeah, i know, but i've always been kinda a hermit, and my stupid health hasn't made things better... 🤷♀️), so since i was seeing a friend -- needed to register to the new gp and get my pneumococcal vaccine and got lunch while we were at it -- i decided that i might as well look cute while doing it, even if the weather wasn't really conductive to wearing a skirt, but i really wasn't in the mood for jeans.
i also got kitty ears to put in my headphones, because i might as well look cute, should i go out on my own and as such need to listen to some tunes to keep my mind occupied.
on another note, i really miss my long hair, but it's growing and if i do things properly (soooooo many curly hair products to get them to look okay when they're this length and can't just tie them), it actually looks cute too, so yay.
and while we were out, i got 2 new plants (we always go to the cafe at the plant centre/nursery just outside town, 'cause plants and mostly because it has pretty good gluten free options -- and their prices are really reasonable and portions generous and yummy too): a devil's ivy and some french lavender. they don't have names yet though, still need to get a feel for them. (i still miss frank, the peace lily -- such a drama queen, need to get myself frank the 2nd)

Amazing photo of a momma mega-bat flying with her pup clinging to her chest.
This giant golden-crowned flying fox, (a.k.a. golden-capped fruit bat) is a species of mega-bat endemic to the Philippines. These endangered bats' diet consists purely of fruit, and they cause no harm to humans or other animals. They can grow to have a wingspan of almost 6 feet and weigh around 3 pounds.

Finally found an actual assembly diagram for my airplane! Well, the 1 pilot 2 cylinder version. Mine's a 2 person tandem control, 4 cylinder 1960s VW. But it'll do 😆
Most of the fun of restoring/building a decently obscure kit plane designed by old guys who are either dead or like to ghost messages is playing detective to find all the missing instructions. Luckily AC. 43.13 exists for this exact reason, but actual instructions would be much nicer 😆
