That scene towards the end of the S3 trailer
The one where Shadow is running to save Sonic from disappearing
What if by that scene, the main conflict is changed? Nine is no longer actively trying to get ahold of Sonic, to drain the paradox prism energy from him. Just like Shadow and his focus on saving Green Hill over the Shatterverse before, he concedes that *nothing* will exist if they can't fix the paradox prism (assuming that the crew comes to the conclusion that they need to fix the paradox prism to have a chance at fixing the rapid breakdown of the shatterverse).
What if after episodes of fighting Nine and avoiding having his prism energy taken from him, Sonic gives himself over willingly. Nine has just realized how far he took things, how tunnel visioned he became on a goal with the sacrifice of things (and a person) he cared about. What if he feels guilty, resolved to help fix the universe they live in before anything else, and Sonic *asks* him to drain the energy this time?
And no matter what Shadow or Nine or anyone else says, no matter how uncertain doing so would make Sonic's fate uncertain and put it at stake, they can't refute the argument. Doing this could kill him (just like back on Ghost Hill, when Sonic asked for Nine to give him energy to match that of the prismatic titan), but is there any other way to save the shatterverse?
I'm not sure what the answer is myself, but perhaps they hope so. They're running out of time, and if they can't fix it, all of them will die. So, they all form a plan.
What if Nine feels this guilt as he drains the prism energy from Sonic? What if he feels more awful (and a little jealous) when it's up to Shadow to ultimately save him (because Shadow's the only other one who can move quite as fast)?
What if Shadow runs and runs, desperate too to make sure that Sonic won't die? What if he's frustrated at Nine and Sonic (because why did it have to come to this?), but also frustrated at himself (because maybe if he could have been there with Sonic, or maybe if he was the one searching the shatterspaces before, maybe he could have stopped all this before it went too far, maybe he could have kept Sonic safe from this fate)?
What if Shadow enters that shatterspace with Sonic in his arms, hoping so badly he'll pull through, trying not to think about what'll happen if he doesn't?
And what if Nine is the next to enter the shatterspace, arriving before anyone else? What if Nine watches Shadow hold Sonic's barely existing form and feels a pang of jealousy, and a waterfall of guilt. What will he do if Sonic doesn't pull through?

Since you don't like shipping questions how about instead I ask which characters make up your favorite divorced dynamic?
John Constantine and Bruce Wayne.
I just think it'd be fucking funny if they got married in the first place. Like, how the fuck did that shit even happen? Was it like a Vegas style wedding but in an alternate demon dimension? A magical cursed object that bonded their souls together or some shit? How fucking drunk were they when either of them proposed? Was the catering at the reception at least good?
Also, the idea of John having to possibly pay Bruce fucking child support is fucking hilarious to me.

[11:23 pm] Mafia!Sugawara carried you back to the manor in complete silence. You had just scared the absolute shit out of him. One moment a gun was being pointed at him and the next you were standing in front of him, arms stretched out in an attempt to shield him. Though the gun never went off and the perpetrator was apprehended without any injuries, this had to be the scariest situation he’s ever experienced.
“Suga, I’m fine I promise”
He didn’t reply to you as he entered your room, setting you down on your bed. His heart was still beating as hard as it was in that moment, the adrenaline not quite fading yet. Choked words finally fell out of his mouth.
“…Why? Why did you jump in front of me?”
His jaw was clenched and tears were building up in his eyes. Your chest tightened as you reached out to wipe his tears away.
“Is it really that hard to understand? I want to be able to protect you.”
He suddenly pulled away from you and grabbed your wrist, knocking you on your back with him hovering over you. In one swift motion he was leaning down and kissing you, your hands now finding each other slowly clasping together. He pulled away after a few moments, the intense look on his face never fading
“That isn’t your job! I’m part of the mafia! I’ll die one day, ready to repay for my sins but you…you can’t do that!
His hands trembled from both anger and fear as he continued talking.
“It wouldn’t have mattered if I died. But not you, you shouldn’t have jumped in front of me!”
It hurt your heart to hear him talking like this, like his life didn’t matter. Hearing him place such little value on himself while his eyes were filled with tears, it absolutely gripped your heart. Had he always been like this?
“But…it would have mattered if you died, Suga. If I had to go through it again, I would still do the same thing.”
Your eyes pierced him, he felt utterly vulnerable. It was as if you could see through his very being.
“Why, though?”
You smiled and squeezed his hand in yours making him choke on his own breath, “Because I love you.”
With that Suga lost any control he might have had left and kissed you again. He loved you so very much. You were able to give him a home when he felt he had none. You stole his heart and he’d gladly give it to you again if you asked. Hell, he’d burn the world to the ground without a single flame touching you if you simply wished it. He promised himself in that moment that he would always protect you and keep you safe.

Consider the Venus Flytrap and the Eye Vacuum. Both traps have to do with the eyes, but one must sacrifice the eye, while the other must save the eyes. Why are we not shipping the guys in the traps.
Consider this; Michael (Venus Flytrap) entrusting the janitor (Eye Vacuum) with the knife to cut out the key in his eye. As the janitor saws away at Michael's eyeball to get the key, Michael is flicking the dial to break the janitor's fingers, and through them begging the other not to die, to just hurt them because if they don't they both die, they survive. Can you imagine that. Come walk with me. I'll guide you.

A story idea that I haven’t found anyone writing about yet is having Tav be heartbroken by Astarion’s confession in Act 2. Having someone tell you that they didn’t care when the slept with you, they forced themself to do it, and they had altering motivations for being nice to you is such a horrible thing to hear and I doubt many people could bounce back like in game Tav does.
There is so much juicy drama where Tav has their self esteem broken down and loosing their trust in others and having Astarion realize how much he has hurt someone in his path to survival and thinking it’s too late for anything real because he broke what could have been real.
Basically I want to make Astarion and Tav hurt and I’m surprised that it hasn’t been written about.
no ur so right i would literally start spiraling if something like that happened to me……. tav is so strong………. i’d be like “oh okay 🙂” then as im walking away id fall to my knees like this
