I am SO EXCITED to see this!!! Scientists have known about migratory corridors in North America for decades, but U.S. policy (as usual) has been lagging way behind. Obviously, action has to follow these policies in order to make any difference, but this is definitely an improvement over the issue just being ignored.
The good news is that many people working within the Department of the Interior and its various subsections like USFWS are already well-versed in the science behind migratory corridors and have the skills and knowhow to implement practices that will help connect otherwise isolated population centers of various species. So while they will still have to wade through the sort of paperwork and other bureaucracy that comes with anything in the federal government, having policies in place will make it easier to get the process started.
It's going to take a lot of interdepartmental cooperation, and the public continuing to put pressure on decision-makers to follow through with this policy, but this is a great step forward. Let's keep up the momentum!

China develops security network for migratory bird flyways
01:09. A migration security network system was developed in China just recently, in a quote to secure the migration paths of more than 50 million migratory birds of 36 types. The Institute of Forest and Meadow Study and Preparation under the nation’s National Forestry and Meadow Administration took the lead in arranging the system throughout […]

More! Jump! More! and Tokugawa Cup Noodle Kinshirei are the only commissioned songs in the game to not have a Vocaloid/Virtual Singer version of any sort. (Cup Noodle is counted as a SEKAI version due to Nene).
The two songs commissioned from mafumafu for 25-ji, Nightcord de.'s main story, Kuyamu to Kaite Mirai and Keitai Renwa, fell into this category for a long time, due to the original version of both songs being sung by mafumafu himself rather than a Vocaloid. Kuyamu to Kaite Mirai had a Virtual Singer version (sung by Miku) implemented in September 2022, and while Keitai Renwa still doesn't have an official Virtual Singer version, it did receive a Miku Another Vocal in December 2022.
RAD DOGS was also this for a long time, since HachiojiP chose not to make a Virtual Singer version due to the song being commissioned specificially for Project SEKAI. Like with the two songs above, it received a Virtual Singer version in 2022.
Edit July 30th 2023: MORE! JUMP! MORE! will receive a Virtual Singer version tomorrow after almost 3 years! (via NayutalieN's Twitter)

okay so like i am still very much in birding mode at the moment but i've been thinking about exesverse again, namely like. how their ability to shape-change impacts their day to day lives
while i do generally follow the 'if it works for the bit' pattern that we've had set for us, i do absolutely adore worldbuilding, so.
i've got a couple questions to myself i've been chewing on that i just want to toss out there. if i'm in the mood to write the series again i'll probably address some of these, but i figured i'd toss em out as a conversation starter for funsies
does a personification's other shapes impact what they eat in one shape? if so, to what degree, and does this change if say, each shape eats something different?
can the interactions between personifications be influenced by their other forms? is this impacted by which form categories match up for the interaction (for ex: is there any instinct bleed-over for say, fox and rabbit? for owl and bat?)
if the above is applicable but the shape categories do not have to match up for the interaction, can this be applied internally as well? (for ex: would Gov in snake-skin be afraid of himself in eagle-skin?)
how much bleed-over is there from animal behavior in general when in human form?

anyone else think that certain PJSK songs have specific "tastes?" like i don't know how to explain it but like. vibes or something
like Kashika to me is like charcoal. like the stuff that gets on food when you grill it outside
and Flyway is veryyyy citrus-y? it's. a bright song. also i associate citrus fruits with every single season and Flyway makes me think of all four seasons in different ways somehow
Teratera. dark chocolate. cause it's the "sharpest" song
Machi reminds me of cake!! homemade cake. just nice vanilla cake
Aioi. hot chocolate. cause it's warm and also it feels like a seasonal song to me even though it wasn't made for a Christmassy event. hm. idk why i associate Saki comms with chocolate-y things
I Am We Are is defo minty
