Hey Dino, sorry if this is a sore subject, feel free to ignore but it's been... quite a few years. Is Foodbabs on the list of "Irretrievably gone forever, but never forgotten petsites"?
I'm surprised you've heard of/remember it, but no actually! As it happens, about 2 months ago I renewed the domain and bought an all-new host for a year so I can focus on development. Almost losing the domain last year reminded me that I won't be able to hold on to it forever if I keep postponing it.
I'm making all new artwork for all the babs, along with some new ones, but it'll be a bit before I have enough to fill the different rarity tiers to give users smth to strive collecting.
So, keep an eye out for news in 2023!

Don't Eat or Touch "Apeel" Produce! This Applies To Organics, too
Buyer Beware: Mono- and diglycerides contain trans-fat, which promotes inflammation in the body and has been associated with heart disease, diabetes, stroke, and obesity. FoodBabe exposes how the FDA finally recognized the dangers of trans-fat and began requiring manufacturers to list trans-fat on food labels. And a strong caveat: a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) that I have seen circulating on social…

Here’s the truth about “FDA approved” ingredients in our food...
New ingredients are often approved by the manufacturer themselves, and not by the FDA.
The FDA is sometimes not even aware that a new ingredient has been introduced into our food.
The FDA allows food manufacturers to do their own testing to determine if an additive is safe. If the company deems it safe, they can go ahead and use it without any input from the agency or the public. This testing is generally performed on animals, who get a large dose in a relatively short time. The whole process screams blatant conflict of interest!
That’s right – all an ingredient manufacturer has to do is hire their own experts to claim it’s “not harmful” and the manufacturer may deem it as “GRAS”, which stands for “Generally Recognized as Safe”. This is the green light to start adding it to food products.
This practice is nothing short of alarming, and is allowing companies to skirt around the FDA and essentially put whatever they want into our food.
The FDA is asleep at the wheel and the Food Industry is in charge.
For these reasons, I believe that we need to take responsibility for our own health and not rely on the government or anyone else to protect us.
This is why we must read the ingredient lists on the food we eat – if you don’t recognize the ingredient, put it down and look for real food.
Please share this with your friends and family, and with anyone who tries to tell you that an ingredient is safe just because it’s “approved” by the FDA!

Keep fucking around with gluten.... After a month of being gluten free, I am convinced it has become a silent killer. I don't know what they've done to this portion of our food supply, but its all bad. Sooner or later, you'll see. I'd rather eat air than that bullshit. And if you want to see why I'm saying this... go gluten free for 3 days, then go back to your regular diet... I double dog dare you. Thank me later. #gluten #glutenfree #food #foodbabe #foodisfake #tgif https://www.instagram.com/p/CWe1hsHrfDB/?utm_medium=tumblr

Wanna get healthy? Some of these shows are better than others, but gotta start somewhere. Just keep in mind, KNOWLEDGE is not power. The APPLICATION of knowledge is power. That was my biggest lesson. Baby steps and consistency, not perfection. Still learning. Still growing (well, shrinking). My favorite sites are NutritionFacts.org (great app available and his book and cookbook are awesome), MyFitnessPal.com (favorite daily app), and FoodBabe.com. #cleaneating #nevertoooldtochange #year50journey #60poundsdownandcounting #MyFitnessPal #DrGreger #FoodBabe #enjoythejourney #WFPB https://www.instagram.com/p/BzsLouwnz9d/?igshid=1a75n7i8yeos8

Posted @withregram • @organicfacts Caramel color, which is widely used in brown soft drinks, may cause cancer due to 4-methylimidazole (4-MeI), a chemical byproduct formed when certain types of caramel coloring are manufactured. The coloring is actually a mix of sugars, ammonia, and, in some cases, sulfite. When heated at high temperatures, this combination turns into 2-methylimidazole (2-MEI) and 4-methylimidazole (4-MEI) – proven cancer inducers. In California, health officials recently added 4-MEI to the state list of cancer-causing chemicals.  The cancer news comes on the heels of another study presented at the 2011 International Stroke Conference. It found that people who consumed diet soda every day were significantly more likely to suffer from stroke, heart attack, and vascular death. In the NTP studies, mice and rats were fed the additives. They were then observed over a two-year period. Researchers found that 4-MEI caused lung tumors. And 2-MEI was associated with liver and thyroid tumors. #soda #caramel4mei #pepsi #coke #cancer #carcinogens #igdaily #igfacts #inspire #foodfacts #foodlabeling #bigsoda #organictruth #organic #organicfacts #organicfood #factsoffood #healthfacts #healthindicator #fitlife #lifefitness #pop #sodadrinks #igers #instalike #instamood #intheknow #foodbabe #organicbabe https://www.instagram.com/p/B77C9UGnYUs/?igshid=17c4l4068cl34

Can Microwave Popcorn Go Bad?
Tumblr media
Popcorn is everyone’s favorite snack. People like to eat popcorn at the movies, or at midnight, when they have a snack craving. The best thing about popcorn is that, it can be turned into a dessert or a sweet, if you add M&Ms to it. Popcorn can be used as a topping for ice cream as well. This snack is very versatile, which is why people buy it in bulk to make it later. It has a long shelf life, and is very easy to make. All one has to do, is put the popcorn bag in the oven, and after two or three minutes, their popcorn will be ready. Also look at – billlentis.com/can-microwave-cook-chicken.
When Does Microwave Popcorn Go Bad? Microwave popcorn goes bad when the popcorn is expired. Otherwise, when popcorn is put in the microwave, they don’t get damaged, but give better results than the popcorn that is cooked on a stove. Popcorn has a long shelf life, but it is very important to store it in a sealed and cool place in the pantry. The popcorn bag should not be closed to the stove, or else the heat will damage the bag – Foodbabe.
Are Microwave Popcorn Safe? Microwave popcorn doesn’t cause cancer, but the chemical in the popcorn bag, perfluorinated compounds, can be harmful for the health. These PFCs are not only found in popcorn bags, but also pizza boxes, sandwich wrappers, Teflon pans, and different types of food packaging. When a person heats the popcorn bag in the oven, then the chemicals make their way to the popcorn, and enter the bloodstream. However, these chemicals are widely used, and most of people have these chemicals in their bloodstream. This is why, it is not easy to know if this chemical can be linked back to any diseases or cancer – GourmetGiftBaskets.
