در سال 1976، شرکت (Union Beverages Factory) مستقر در امارات متحده عربی،
فروش نوشیدنی های (Maaza) را به عنوان یک حق امتیاز در خاورمیانه و آفریقا آغاز کرد.
برند (Maaza) در سال 1976 در هند راه اندازی شد
و در سال 1993 توسط کوکاکولا از شرکت (Parle Bisleri) به همراه برندهای دیگری مانند Limca،
Citra ،Thums Up و Gold Spot خریداری شد.
(Maaza) توسط شرکت (House of Spices) در سال 2005 برای بازار آمریکای شمالی خریداری شد.
در سال 2006، شرکت (Infra Foodbrands) برند (Maaza) را برای بازارهای اروپا، کارائیب
و غرب آفریقا خریداری کرد و با شرکت (House of Spices) برای بازار آمریکای شمالی همکاری کرد.

نوشیدنی انبه (Maaza) با برند (Pepsi’s Slice) از شرکت پپسی کو و برند (Frooti) از شرکت (Parle Agro) رقابت می کند.
در حالی که (Frooti) در کارتن های کوچک فروخته می شد،
Maaza و Slice در ابتدا در بطری های برگشت پذیر فروخته می شدند.
