So yea, about that super crispy grilled cheese yesterday...it's even more amazing as a tuna melt! 🐟🧀🥪⁠ .⁠ .⁠ Here's a few tips:⁠ .⁠ ❇️ Let the "dough" rest for a few minutes after mixing to make it easier to use.⁠ .⁠ ❇️ Use a NONSTICK PAN - I assume this will work fine in a well seasoned cast iron but have not tried it yet.⁠ .⁠ ❇️ An 8 inch pan is the perfect size for making 1 serving.⁠ .⁠ ❇️ Use softened butter instead of mayo if you prefer.⁠ .⁠ ❇️ I use @porkkinggood pork rind crumbs because they are pre-seasoned and super convenient.⁠ .⁠ ❇️ If only frying 1 serving at a time, leftover "dough" can be stored wrapped in the fridge overnight and still fries up perfectly!⁠ .⁠ 🍴Keto Crisp Sandwich⁠ (makes 2 - only 1g carb per serving)⁠ .⁠ 1/2 cup pork rind crumbs⁠ 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese⁠ 2 tbl mayo⁠ 1 egg⁠ .⁠ * Whisk mayo and egg together first then add cheese and pork rind crumbs. Let dough rest a few minutes and divide in half.⁠ .⁠ * Put half of dough in a cold dry nonstick skillet (8 inch), no fat/oil needed.⁠ .⁠ * Press down with wet hands until bottom of pan is covered or small round is formed.⁠ .⁠ * Let cook 3-5 min or until crispy then flip and crisp other side.⁠ .⁠ * Flip once more, add cheese and/or filling on one side and flip other side over on top.⁠ .⁠ * Flip a few times so cheese melts and serve!⁠ .⁠ .⁠ You can also make just the ketocrisp by crisping both sides then cool and fill with ingredients for a cold sandwich if preferred or use as a pizza crust! 🍕 Options are limitless! 😋⁠ .⁠ Tag me if you make one, I want to see your creations!! 😍⁠ . . - 👉 Follow @keto_diet_trainer  for more keto recipes daily 🌿🌿🌿 . . . . . . . . So - regarding skin care and breakouts, one thing to remember that is really important…. but easy to forget, is frequency of washing sheets and pillow cases. It’s sooooo important! And can be kind of annoying, especially living in NYC. Like - it could ruin your day, big hassle, laundromat - nope! But seriously folks, it could save your skin.

Here’s the thing - even if we are super diligent about showering, and washing our face before bed - bacteria and other buildup is still going to happen in our beds, and on our pillows. This is because our body uses sleep time to detox…. have you ever noticed bad breath in the morning, or little sleep eye thingies stuck in the corner of your eyes.. or body odor after just… sleeping? Yeah! Our body is restoring and purging toxins and that stuff is like - coming out of our bodies and into our beds. Lovely, I know.

So wash em’ frequently…like every week people. And if you can’t wash as frequently as you’d like, have two sets of sheets, and lots of extra pillow cases so you can switch them out until you HAVE to wash them. All.  

You can also make your own pillow case spray. It’s easy and fun and customizable. And it can actually improve your skin: One part water, one part vodka, 10-20 drops of your favorite essential oils. I would recommend tea tree oil, lavender oil, rose water if you want, freakin’…. orange blossom. It’s up to you! Put all of this in a cute little spray bottle and… that’s all. You just shake it up and then you’re done. Spray it on your pillows and sheets when you’re making the bed.
