Hank and Connor live in the same apartment building, Connor’s bathroom isn’t actually flooding because he’s an android and doesn’t use the bathroom but he’s had some sort of accident/altercation and he’s like bleeding out and needs the screwdriver to fix himself. He needs to lie about why he needs it because, idk, maybe the apartment doesn’t allow androids and he’s been pretending to be a human. Anyway when Hank goes to Connor’s apartment Connor answers with the door chain latched and only his fingers sticking out to take the screwdriver, which, understandable, but Hank notices the blue blood dripping onto the floor and realizes what’s going on and convinces Connor to let him help 💖 hurt/comfort, fear and secrecy surrounding who Connor is followed up by loving acceptance (and big gentle hands), maybe a little bit of wireplay idk. Also afterwards Hank goes around upgrading all the appliances in Connor’s apartment because neither I nor Connor are immune to a middle-aged man who knows his way around a Home Depot

okay so you know when takeda manages to get ukai to come watch karasuno play for the first time and kagehina show off their freak quick and ukai is like "sensei how long have those two been paired together" and takeda is like "oh kageyama and hinata? they just met this year i've heard it was rocky at first but they're getting along well now" and ukai is like "what a shame". do you think he goes home and looks into them and finds out that kageyama's the lonely king and that his teammates abandoned him. do you think he looks and looks for hinata but can't find him until finally he stumbles across a no-name school that barely had a volleyball team and their only match lasted 31 minutes. do you think he wonders about how lonely they were. a coach can't replace teammates but do you think he decides to try and make sure that no one on his team feels lonely again.

i used to believe that arguing on the internet was pointless because you’re never going to change anyone’s mind — you know, standard Internet Discourse Talking Point — and i still mostly do

but i also believe that there are modes of persuasion besides arguing, and i would replace “change anyone’s mind” with “change the state of the culture/discourse” — you probably can’t argue the internet into changing, but you might be able to persuade a person

i know there are people who go online, who don’t argue but quietly read viewpoints they don’t believe in, and over time their minds change. i know it for a fact, because that was me. and i think that matters, too

anyway at some point eddie comes out to the rest of them and buck finally gets him aside and goes (very very casually, which is to say not casually at all) 'so, bisexual, huh' and eddie gives him this very dry look and is like 'uh, yeah, buck, i kinda figured you of all people wouldn't be surprised'

so anyway they finally have to have that conversation about how they've both been pining and convinced themselves the other was straight despite having literally had sex already

there's something actually like. a little fucked up that the first real place they can call home outside the impala is designed for war. it's cold and detached and designed to keep them out of the real world and the line of fire. it's saying you will never escape being a soldier. you will never escape your father. the war is neverending.

but maybe there's something to say in the ways that they do make it a home. their own bedrooms littered with post cards and photos, the dean cave, the kitchen scattered with the remnants of their breakfast, the books that they added to the vast collection, the ones that they have annotated with how things really went down. and maybe there's something worthwhile to being somewhere they could finally feel safe. maybe it hides them from the world but it hides them from the war too
