What's your favorite food and/or drink?

I'm a sweet tooth with a penchant for chocolate :P it's hard to choose. If something is made of or with chocolate/Nutella, I probably love it.

As for drink, uhh, water? Lmao I love ACE and pomegranate juice, but nothing compares to a glass of fresh, slightly sparkling water to me. Not big on alcoholic beverages, except for fragolino wine (one of the sweetest, go figure)

Pinsa della befana Detto anche “pinsa de la marantega”, è uno dei più antichi dolci della cucina veneta, dolce tipico della Festa della Befana, infatti “marantega” significa proprio Befana. Un dolce rustico, che veniva preparato utilizzando gli avanzi delle festività natalizie, fatto con ingredienti semplici, tipici della tradizione contadina, in pratica un pane poco lievitato con farina bianca e gialla, uvetta, grappa, fichi secchi, pinoli e frutta (solitamente mele o pere). Nonostante sia un piatto antico, l’introduzione della farina di polenta sembra risalire solo allo scorso secolo, mentre prima era preparato con farine di granoturco e frumento. Difficile trovarne una ricetta precisa, poichè ogni famiglia ha la sua, ho deciso quindi di sperimentarne una mia versione, gluten free e senza zucchero, ma non mancano al suo interno, la classica frutta secca, la grappa che aromatizza la frutta e semi di vario tipo come l’anice ed il finocchio che conferiscono a questo dolce un profumo caldo ed avvolgente, tipico delle tradizionali serate della vigilia dell'Epifania dove i contadini cuocevano la pinsa, ricoperta dalle foglie di cavolo, sotto i carboni ardenti dei falò che si preparavano per festeggiare l’inizio dell’anno nuovo, bevendo fragolino o vin brulè e cantando filastrocche popolari di buon auspicio.E poi osservavano le faville, che a seconda di dove le trasportava il vento, avrebbero presagito raccolti scarsi o abbondanti. Una bella storia e un dolce squisito che ci attenua un pò quella velata malinconia che nasconde questa festa e ci fa ben sperare per le nostre faville. Buona Epifania!
