He groaned as he threw his rifle down and twisted his shirt, ringing water from it before slumping into the sand and taking off his boot, dumping water from it as a small crab fell from it as well.

"My life was simple before that contract. Pissing off Blume, trolling corrupt assholes on Twitter, maybe stopping a terrorist plot or two if I have time on a Sunday... now what. Stranded on an uncharted island in the middle of the Pacific..." He sighed, hearing a beeping from his phone. He pulled it out of his pocket, wiping a bit of seaweed off the screen before sighing again and slumping back onto the beach.

"And to cap it all off we're in a dead zone..." He sighed softly, pondering his next move as he heard the crunching of sand next to him. He glanced over, seeing his partner/temporary boss approaching.

"This your idea of a first date? Hiring a guy to help you destroy a data storage facility and leak every file onto the net, only to get shot down as we escape? Brilliant idea!" The Canadian hacker chuckled softly before closing his eyes and turning his face skyward before thumping his head against the sand.

What happened to Texas?

Disclaimer: I created a lot of the lore below for my personal Fallout rp, but feel free to use any ideas here for your own nonprofit discord, fanart and fanfictions (no commissions of any kind). Keep fandom free.

The day the bombs fell, most every Texan was at home, glued to their television screens to watch the Rangers play the Red Sox in the first World Series on Texas soil in over two decades. The rest of them were in their offices, trying to decide how to save their beloved state from the imminent economic crash that would follow the news that the oil fields have finally run dry.

Within just a few minutes, the decision was made for them.

Immediately following the fallout, a lot of Texans in the rural areas were left mostly unaffected, albeit severely isolated and short on supplies. For the four major metropolises: Dallas, Houston, Austin, and El Paso, they were all but scorched earth.

As a result of having so little nuclear infrastructure outside these four areas, what followed continues to amaze the anthropologists who study the years immediately following the first bombs. With no intercommunications, and no outside forces, called the “Great Grocery Run”, was a mass temporary exodus of Texans to the surrounding state borders to acquire nuclear technology and return to their non-irradiated homesteads. A lot would not return, although it picked clean the borders of nearly all salvage and tech in less than a decade.

Where the evidence of humanity was slowly dwindled and erased, nature reclaimed the (in some places nearly 100 miles) wide dead zone around the landlocked parts of the state, called “Chiron’s Hoof Print”, as a running joke that Chiron leapt off the earth not to escape Heracles but to escape nuclear war.

With such a wide wilderness to cross that has no places to salvage or buy supplies, crossing the dead zone with vehicles runs the risk of being stranded, especially when visitors don’t know to expect sudden wilderness. Meanwhile, travelers on foot are at the mercy of the irradiated rivers and animals.

Nearly 200 years later, the Hoof is more clearly marked, well-mapped but not so well understood as by the Farriers: a high-turnover group of mercenaries who take payment (caps or trade) to escort both caravans and individuals across the dead zone. They understand where the thinnest zones of the Hoof are, as well as carrying knowledge of safe water sources and how best to defend themselves from every type of creature. The average trip across is four days with plenty of rest breaks, but some excellently navigated Farriers, or ones with hearty clients that only stop to nap, can make the journey in 3 days, averaging one to two trips a week per Farrier.

Do you think that if you had more free time you would engadge in the fandom in a more active/creative way or are you at a point were just looking at fanart and retweeting it is enough for you?

Short version: Depression, lack of safe and paying work options, and just a shitty two years--no, three years--no, six years--has just been demoralizing. 

It's not a lack of time, exactly. (Although, that is part of this: I should be working on finding more work, on taking material I have written and getting it published, on planning my future. Then I feel guilty doing anything else for "fun.")

I’d like to get back to making GIFs, screen caps, and avatars and icons--although I’m hard-pressed to do any more of what has already been done. 

I’d like to get back to the RP sideblog--but it’s hard to get into a character’s mindset publicly. 

I’d like to write fanfics again--but I don’t think I have the patience and wherewithal to see a story to a conclusion, at least not one I’m ready to tell, when I am scared about what I should be doing with my time. 

That’s the thing: I have time, just not feeling like I get to use that time for that endeavor, when I’m sitting here trying to figure out how the fuck I’m going to pay bills and find safe work that actually pays. 

(Like I said at the top, the last six years of work constituted a miserable experience, and I’m struggling to pay bills. Someone, hire me, I need remote work options that are safe and pay well.)

i will be wholeheartedly staying true to canon wrt the timeless child arc & won't budge on it (insp from both 13s & 15s runs with possible headcanons) it is an arc that i enjoyed from both different runs. that & it's hugely important to 15's arc this season, specifically with his connection to ruby.

on the doctor's sexuality / gender & more on shipping: i don't have a set sexuality for the doctor, i think the doctor is queer for sure, and this version is less asexual compared to some of the other doctors. that said, i don't think the doctor thinks about labels for themselves or considers them much outside of understanding they are important to other people (humans in particular). the doctor's interests wrt romantic and sexual also changes when their face changes. the doctor goes by both they / them & he / him pronouns. i will be very interested in shipping. however, despite this regeneration of the doctor being more flirty, more open, i do think it will still be difficult in a lot of the same ways with the other versions of the doctors. the doctor wants wants wants to fix himself to someone like 13 did with yaz but in a lot of ways he's still very hesitant because of how much it will hurt when he loses them. he's also still grieving river. so as flirty and more open as the doctor is, he may also be frustrating lol.

I found your Eddie DMing art on twitter and may have creeped on the replies where u and other ppl were talking about Eddie being v much aligned with Brennan Lee Mulligan and now my fave brain worms are co-mingling and I can’t stop thinking about Eddie and the Party as different players from Dimension 20! [lmao so the rest of this ask is assuming u watch D20 and if u don’t, my apologies for the following gibberish] After much consideration I have some to the following assessment: Erica is Murph — very straightforward and Lawful, pragmatic and crunchy with rules, but I can see her also bursting out into giggles when another member does something outlandish and her just having the sweetest open mouth smile on her face; I think Dustin is probably Lou — very much into RP and building serious personal relationships with NPCs, also delightfully boastful and vocal about his characters’ dramatic successes and failures; if Robin ever gets into playing she’s Ally — no explanation necessary, pure chaos always breaking Eddie’s brain with her Nat20s; Will is Siobhan — less obviously goofy character but absolutely killer reactions and instincts, extremely clever and plays emotional beats very honestly and close to the surface, always joins in when players bashing are the DM; Lucas I can see as Zac — not so much with the type of characters he plays but in the unexpected but always in-character choices he makes at clinical moments and poetic less-is-more lines that he proudly delivers to have everyone at the table in hysterics; that leaves Mike as Emily — I thought about a lot of diff ppl as Emily but this makes so much sense to me, the pure commitment to hilarious decisions just to see where they go (especially when Eddie is playing along and the rest of the players are Losing It), the joy earned from truly whomping the DM with a Plan, and the uncontrollable excitement of having the choices he made Pay Off in dramatic climaxes; oh and in the unlikely case that Steve gets bribed into playing and having the time of his life he’s obvs Izzy — his chemistry with Eddie has him heightening every interaction they have until he’s out of breath … ok so I did not mean for this lil thought experiment to be this long, apologies! Feel free to ignore/reply/do with it what you will! HOW TO MAKE SCREENCAPS FROM SHOWS AND MOVIES QUICK.

With hollow-art down, I figured this might be useful to many in the rp community, but might also come in handy for those who create gifs and edits. I will preface this by saying, you should probably be using a VPN for this, since you’re going to have to download / torrent whatever movie and/or tv show you want to screencap. For example NordVPN..

Things you need:

- A VPN (Recommended) - μTorrent (To download the torrent files) - Free video to jpg converter (Download link here) - RARBG.TO - A website (here) to find downloads of movies and/or tv shows. It has an extremely impressive amount of even old and/or unknown movies and shows!

Once you have all of the things listed above, you want to follow these quick steps:

#1. Go to RARBG and search for the movie and/or show you want to download, and pick whichever version you want. It’s usually good to look for someone that has 720p, 1080p, 2160p in the title, as they have higher quality (higher number = higher quality, usually, but they also take up more space on your laptop, so that’s also something to keep in mind.) You want to click the title of the file you want to download, then click the link at the top of the page as pictured in the image above.

#2. Then click on the little utorrent file that pops up at the bottom of the screen, and your utorrent will launch, showing something like the image below.

Uncheck all the ones except the video file(s) themselves you want to download, then click ok, and wait for it to finish downloading. Once it has fully downloaded, the download bar will turn green, and you’ll have the video file in your downloaded files on your laptop.

#3. Open up your free video to jpg converter, and a window will open up like pictured below (just without the file already added in, and there won’t be a ‘convert’ button until you’ve added your file.)

Click ‘add files’, find the video you downloaded, then add that. Then you can choose how many screencaps you want. If you want to be able to make gifs, and have frame-by-frame caps, I recommend choosing the ‘every frame’ option. If you wanna save some space on your laptop, or just don’t need that many frames, you can use the other options to customize for your personal needs! You can choose where you want the caps to be uploaded to in the ‘...’ button next to the ‘save to:  Then just hit ‘convert’ and the screencaps will be downloaded to the location of your choosing!

And that’s pretty much it!

Haikyuu as Things Me & My Friend Groups Do In Roblox

Atsumu (+ Osamu)

Atsumu has been obsessed with Dance Off for god knows how long and gets pissed off when people refuse to follow the theme

Don’t even get him started on when people team and vote for their friends- regardless if they fit the theme or not

Mofo will convince Osamu to play with him and have them on the same team- wearing matching outfits and shit

Literally goes “ok third dance on the right in 1 2 3-“ and will get angry if Samu messes up and makes his character dance out of sync

Suna + Miya Twins

Murder Mystery Hardcore and Flee the Facility are their go to

Tsumu gets real invested in the game and will be lowkey hurt if either of them kill him

“Tf Samu what kinda brother are ya-“

Osamu doesnt gaf and has gotten real good at sneaking glances at Atsumu’s screen

In MM, Suna deliberately points fingers at random innocent players, claiming they’re the murderer- and laughs when the sheriff shoots them

Suna’s also the type to have all the hidden rooms locations memorized and will camp out there if he’s feeling lazy

It doesn’t matter if Osamu is murderer or sheriff, he’ll still target Atsumu

In Flee The Facility Suna and Osamu will team up and follow Atsumu around and sabatoge all the computers he hacks

They also team with the beast and stand and watch Atsumu when he’s captured- taunting him

Atsumu gets so mad and it’s hilarious

“STOP CAMPIN YOU TEAMERS &$&?!&”

Suna never saves anyone when they get captured- even Osamu

But he’ll be upset if no ones rescues him

“Hurry up and rescue me- I am literally dying wtf.”

His voice doesn’t really rise in volume but it will change to a higher pitch out of irritation

Suna is very quiet when he plays and will mute his mic

When he’s not feeling serious about playing he’ll go run up to the beast and juke em and stuff for lolz

When he’s beast he’ll camp the computers/survivors

Osamu is that one player who will either be a saint and save everyone or refuses to help anyone

It really just depends on who he’s playing with

He’s the type to get pissed off when the last survivor waits by the open exit in order to irritate the beast

Spams chat to urge them to hurry up

Never types in caps but makes lowercase look threatening

He’s the kinda beast that will actually play fair and go after the remaining survivors once he captures one

Atsumu is that one lvl 30 something player but still manages to play like a total noob

Messes up when hacking the computers cuz he gets distracted then blames it on his internet lagging

Osamu calls him out for lying

“Yer such a liar tsumu my internet aint laggin yer just shit at this.”

Also the type of player to forget his volume is maxed out and gets scared when he hears the beast music

The last survivor that Osamu hates- and stands in front of the door way to taunt the beast

Atsumu hates being beast and will immediately leave the game if he is beast- much to Osamu’s chargin

Bokuto, Kuroo, Kenma, Akaashi

Kenma convinces them to play the roblox version of Paranormica (ghost hunting game)

Bokuto always has to carry the lantern because for some reason the game always decides that the ghosts hate him- and only him

Bo also carries the spirit book, because it doesn’t need to be equipped to be used

If he see’s ANY writing he will straight up drop the thing and run over to kuroo, telling him to “forget the box and bring the bird” (Kuroo has to carry the bird and the spirit box)

If the bird dies Kuroo starts whisper screaming “oh fuck no not today satan” and will run out of the place back to the van asap

Bokuto panics too and will run after him, telling Akaashi to run and leaving Kenma in the place without light (hopefully the fuse hasnt blown out by then)

Since he has the spirit box, Kuroo is also the first to be sacrificed once the ouija board starts saying some weird shit

This dummy thought angering the ghost further (by saying its name) was a good idea and will get himself killed

Kenma is me basically

He’ll carry the nightvision cam and emf reader and will periodically alternate between the two

Once he see’s something sus though he’s all like “time for a tactical retreat” and will run outside w/out telling anyone else

Every man for himself

It dont matter if the ghost isnt aggro yet- he aint takin any chances

Can be heard quietly debating with himself about what type the ghost is- even if he only has 1/3 clues

Akaashi usually sticks with Kenma- sorry Bo but kaashi dont f with ghosts, not even for you

He has the fuse and a crucifix- his job is to be Kenma’s support

He occasionally weighs in on the ghost type debate

Tbh he hates this game with a passion- it never fails to give him anxiety

These two play Fashion Famous together

Iwa and Mattsun totally make fun of them for it

Oikawa takes this game way too seriously

Will follow the theme to a T and bought all the game passes 💀

Makki doesn’t have robux so he has to stick to the free sections

If he’s feeling like a troll he’ll follow Oikawa around and wear a similar outfit and everything to irritate him

                          i know i haven’t been on this blog in a long time, but i   &.    some of my friends have found a currently active blog, writing as shinee’s kim jonghyun.                              not only writing with other blogs rp-ing as shinee members,   but also writing smut, reblogging sexual gif sets, and having sexual themed threads with other writers.                               my friends   &.    i have sent asks to this blog about their portrayal of jonghyun, to which there was no response.  below the cut i have put in screenshots of how they are writing jonghyun & how disrespectful it is not only to him, but shawols, and shinee themselves. 

there are also answered asks to the page,   asking them why they are writing as jonghyun,   &  their responses are unsettling. 

now, i understand the concept of everyone grieving differently, however, answering “fans” asks &.   other blogs roleplaying as shinee members in a manner like this is disrespectful and i cannot stand by watching as they continue to do it without consequence. i have also shared some more screen-caps of posts the blog has made that have made me & my friends uncomfortable. 

                        finally, i am not asking    ANYONE    to send direct nasty messages, any asks with hateful themes, or just be all around verbally abusive to this mun. while what they are doing is disrespectful &. all around wrong, it will not make the situation any better by doing so. feel free to reblog this and share as much as you want, i do not mind.   thank you.
