Lois pulls the string to lift the blinds up and sees the moving van, momentarily having her attention pulled from her work for the night. A plump blonde woman hopped out from the driver's seat and unbuckled a small boy from his booster seat in the passenger spot, the little boy boney to an unnerving and worrying degree with ginger hair that demands a haircut sometime soon.

“Did you know we were getting neighbors?” She speaks not at all loud enough for someone to normally hear from downstairs in the kitchen, but her wonderful husband is up the stairs and looks out with her, head on her shoulder as he thinks through some past conversations and small talk on his dog walks. “I think Hendrick mentioned a woman coming in with her son, something about his wife selling her the town house over the weekend.”

Lois whistles and drops the blinds strings, “Ready to move quick, and coincidently right next door to a few superheroes.”

“Lois,” Clark chides with no hint of annoyance, just tired of the reality she pointed out that has just as much a possibility of being true as it doesn’t. “Not every neighbor–”

“Remember how you grew up being buddy-buddy with Lex?” “That was–” “Or my dad.” “You–” “Or the inverse with any co-vigilante of your choosing.” “I– okay, I’ll keep my eyes peeled.” He relented with a kiss to her temple, earning a pleased smile as she turned back to her work.

Haha, Interestingly, I have something to answer this WIP, as part of Jason Todd week, it will be a reason to finish my draft and publish today.

Why... @im-not-buying-it-ether ... T-T Why? Ok, i do lemonade with this lemons for this WIP Wednesday:

"So it finally happened to one of those boys." "You'll have to be specific about that, Mrs. Wayne, and I'd really like to hear, what gave me away?" He could play the game. There's not much to lose half a century away from his time. "Everything and nothing..." Jason can do nothing but be patient, and it's the worst torture. He tightens his grip but takes his finger off the trigger. If this woman continued like this, there could be an accident. "To the people here, there's nothing strange. Your car is almost from the era... if you had shown up with a Lamborghini or a Tesla, you would have seemed from another planet. But handling that gun so well already tells the other half of the story." Jason finally calms down and lowers the weapon a bit. This woman... was she like him? "Are you from...?" "Yes, Jay. I'm from the distant twenty-first century... was. I've been here half my life. I'm forty-four." That leaves Jason with numbness and dizziness. Twenty-five years! The blow is so strong that he has to get out of the car and falls to the ground while trying to process. Would he be trapped here for so long? "You should calm down. It's useless. I was locked up in Arkham for six months because of that... People aren't very open to hearing that so freely... you know, time travel, hallucinations of superheroes saving the day daily... I have more, but I don't think about it much anymore... you shouldn't either."
