Lost With You | Leon x Reader (Part I)
Tumblr media
Rating: Mature (probably, eventually NSFW - this part is just language, I think?)
You were only doing this to begin with because you respected Professor Magnolia a great deal and because she was an old friend of your dad’s. It had been ages since you’d been back to Galar, so the region was already strange enough to acclimate to. But this… this was pushing it.
****************************************************
After having met the professor at her lab in Wedgehurst for “tea and a chat,” you were regaled with her findings around the Dynamax phenomenon and given a condensed, but impassioned recap of the most recent events surrounding Leon, the former chairman Rose and the newly crowned champion. You’d been traveling with your team for so long that most of this was lost to you — outside of a few rumblings here and there because of the widely televised Champion Cup. You knew of the former champion’s reputation as being undefeated, up until recently, of course, but never paid much mind. Titles and fame didn’t hold much weight for you. What really mattered were the bonds you built with your Pokémon and putting your all into your training; mind, body and soul.
You were still processing Professor Magnolia’s disclosures, absently sipping on your wonderfully fragrant pecha lavender tea, when her sage green eyes focused on you from behind her inverted triangular glasses. “So, my dear, the reason I’ve asked you here today is that I’d like you to do some field research for me,” the ivory-haired woman stated, producing from her lab coat a thick white wristband with blue and red trim, and a shiny black plate embedded front and center. “With your skills as a trainer and knowledge of Pokémon from so many regions, I couldn’t imagine anyone better to study the effects of Dynamaxing on Pokémon firsthand,” she continued. You stilled, fingers tracing the sides of your teacup as you searched your mind for the words to respond. Finally taking a soft inhale, you spoke. “I- Are you sure, professor? I don’t even entirely know how all this Dynamaxing business works.”
You could see the subtlest smile at the corners of the professor’s lips as she affirmed her certainty, a hand reaching out to grasp your wrist and squeeze it. “I’m positive. Your and your Pokémon’s lack of exposure to it is largely beneficial in this case, it allows us to establish a ground zero.”
“Besides, I would never be callous enough to send you out on your own to the Wild Area. I’ve arranged an escort for you— who…” she trailed off, checking her wristwatch, “should’ve been here some time ago.” Before you even had the moment to properly ponder the implications of the request or who on earth you were suddenly going to be sent out on this mission with, your thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the lab door opening and shutting, followed by heavy, hurried footsteps that seemed to be headed towards the two of you.
"Sorry, professor! I could've sworn I was on my way here, but I somehow ended up in Hammerlocke," a breathy voice called out, the hint of a chuckle beneath it. Just a moment after, you see someone rounding the corner and the first thing you notice is a head of wild, violet hair, just barely tucked beneath a black snapback hat. Professor Magnolia propped herself up on her cane and rose from her seat, her expression flat and unsurprised. In resignation, she sighs, "Well, I suppose I should be worried were you to not have gotten lost." You instinctively follow suit and stand, feeling the older woman's hand behind your arm, nudging you towards the new arrival. "This is Leon, and while I know this likely isn't the most promising of first impressions," the researcher sent a serious look in the man's direction, before looking back to you, "I feel much more at peace with him accompanying you to the Wild Area." All the chairman could offer in response was a nervous grin, his hand rising to rub at the back of his neck. Somehow it felt like this wasn't a rare occurrence.
****************************************************
Your futile attempts at protesting completely and utterly failed. So here you were, sitting on the train from Wedgehurst to the Wild Area next to this man you didn't know anything about other than his having been the longest reigning champion. There had been an awkward silence between the two of you since Professor Magnolia saw you off at that station, but you were pretty sure you heard Leon begin to speak a couple times and maybe deciding against it. If it were up to you, you wouldn't mind it staying that way because you had always traveled on your own anyway. The silence gave you time to reflect and plan out your next move.
After clearing his throat as quietly as possible, you hear your appointed escort's voice over the hum of the train moving along the tracks. "I heard from the professor you've got a pretty incredible shiny Ninetales as your companion?" Your brow quirks as you shift to face Leon and pause, halting your initial sarcastic inclinations in lieu of a more neutral one. "I do," you respond with with a nod, "Ninetales has been with me since I was a kid and it was a Vulpix." A smile playing on the former champion's features, he leaned in slightly. "Sounds like you two have a pretty strong connection. Makes me think of me and Charizard; we've been through a lot," Leon remarks. You weren't really sure how to react to the sudden depth in his reflections, so you opted for the safe route and went for an "Mm. I get that."
By the time the two of you had made it to the Meetup Spot outside of the Wild Area, Leon had become entirely too comfortable and had begun spouting off about his time as champion, the legacy of the Battle Tower and, in such grandiose terms, the future of Galar. Outside of a 'gentle' reminder (lest he get sidetracked) that you had to make it to the Lake of Outrage soon, you endured his long-winded explanations, much to your own surprise. He assured you that he'd taken this route a million times before. You were skeptical, but ended up going against your better instincts and letting him take the lead with the rationale that this was his home region. Along the way, you had been charged by a handful of wild Pokémon, but between your Ninetales and Dragonite, and his Charizard and Aegislash, you were able to get the situations in hand rather quickly. You quickly shoveled down the roaming thought that Leon might've actually been a shockingly skilled trainer - which, yes, obviously he had to have been to some extent, all things considered but... you'd been around enough to know that sometimes one's standing isn't always deserved. You had to see it with your own eyes.
****************************************************
It eventually became evident that you had been walking for ages and it didn't seem like you were getting anywhere close to your destination, so you stop dead in your tracks. Leon notices and stops his ongoing dialogue to ask if "everything's okay." You look directly at him, your deep brown hues making contact with his amber ones, the restraint in your voice palpable as you finally speak, ".... There's absolutely no way we've been going in the right direction, Leon. According to my Rotomphone, we should've gotten there hours ago." The much taller man tilts his head, framing his chin with the joint of his thumb and index finger as he moves beside you, gaze roving over the digital map projected on your device. "Huh," he muses before shifting his weight back into his heels, hands falling to his hips. "Yeah, you're right... we're definitely on the opposite side of the Wild Area," Leon laughed loudly, the painfully nonchalant manner of his reaction shooting needles all down your spine.
"Okay, that's it. You have got to be kidding me." Your hands balled into fists at your sides, you square your shoulders and glare up at Leon, your anger practically coming off of you in waves. "It's one thing that Professor Magnolia has me out here testing out this whole Dynamaxing thing, but with you??," you groaned, all of the day's pent up frustration suddenly seeping through the cracks. Leon, clearly caught off guard by this, raised his hands in front of him and tried to interject. "H-hey, it's oka---" "No, it's a joke. You and all this fanfare and promotions and "champion this and that," like what the hell. Do you even actually care about Pokémon or is this all just for show?"
That struck a nerve. Leon at this point is towering over you, the casual expression he wore replaced by a sudden sense of seriousness, a wrinkle working its way between his brows. "How can you say that? I was the undefeated champion for god knows how long - you think that comes from not caring?," the Galarian shot back, his tone noticeably deeper than it was before. You could feel the shift in his aura and although you couldn't pretend to know all of his sides, this felt... different. You weren't going to back down though, that wasn't an option. The next words left your mouth before you even knew they were coming, you could feel the preemptive regret but your voice held firm. "Again with the 'undefeated.' You never questioned whether Rose shifted the odds in your favor? Convenient how that streak was broken once he was go--"
The wind was swiftly knocked out of you as you found yourself backed up against a tree, one of Leon's large hands gripping you by the jawline and his other one pressed beside you, caging you in. His eyes glowed a dangerous gold, his visage dark. He all but closed the gap between your bodies as he came within inches of your face, his breath ghosting over your skin. "Shut. The. Fuck. Up," he growled, a certain warning tone presenting itself in his words. You winced at the sudden onslaught of sensations - between the roughness of the bark against your back, the heat emanating from the proximity and the rough grasp preventing you from moving your head, it took you a minute to process what exactly just happened. "You have no idea what it was like all of those years, devoting myself to making this place all that I knew it could be," Leon continued, his gaze lowering as he spoke, "just to find out the man who sponsored you, who made it possible to get to where you were -- that it was all a sham. All a bloody part of a madman's crazed ambitions."
Taking a deep, recentering breath, you wrapped your hand around the one Leon had against the side your face, making sure you had his attention. "Sounds like you've been carrying a lot of pain over this all on your own. It must have been lonely," you acknowledged, allowing your voice to soften just a touch. Leon's eyes met yours again, a hint of surprise painted over the once burning amber. If it weren't for this sudden show of vulnerability, you were probably just moments away from taking a knee to the man's groin, but - you understood there were some scars that ran deep. "And look, I don't really know you and shouldn't have said what I did but... you can't let that shit taint all that you worked for, and what it meant to you. You inspired people. None of what happened takes that away." Feeling the former champion's grip loosen, you draw it away from your face and place your other hand on his chest, almost as if to brace him. "I just wish you weren't so loud about it," you sighed, briefly closing your eyes in that moment to avoid seeing whatever Leon's expression might've been right then. This was exactly the type of messy situation you didn't want to get caught up in, it's just too much baggage.
Sliding his hand from your grasp, you felt him bring it back to your face again, this time, much more tenderly. Leon's free arm snaked around your waist and pulled you against him, sending your lips crashing into one other's and causing your breath to hitch sharply in the back of your throat. The kiss was needy, filled with raw emotion. Your body betrayed you, giving way to a slight shudder before leaning deeper into his touch. Maybe it was just the adrenaline rush, but you could've sworn his pulse was racing against your skin. Pulling back, Leon runs his thumb across your cheek, whispering almost inaudibly. "Thank you."

Runnin’ Thru the 7th with My Woadies
Tumblr media
Pairings - Rafe Cameron x reader
Summary - Rafe drives you home
Warnings - unconsented picture
A/n - bro i love $uicideboy$ and Rafes so $uicideboy$ coded. He listens to them imo
Rafe held open the car door for you as you climbed into the passenger seat of his truck. He closed the door behind him and rounded the front of the car. Hands in his pocket, shoulders slumped forwards slightly and a snapback cap placed backwards onto his head. The driver's door opened and he got in, keys jingling as he turned the ignition on. The car rumbled as it started up, the headlights lighting up the parking lot it stood in.
You reached to your side dragging the seatbelt over your torso and clicking it in place as Rafe pulled out. You leaned back into the seat, your eyes drifting to the window as it lowered with a subtle hum. The wind hit your face as the car picked up some speed. Strands of your hair wrapping around your neck.
Music played softly from the speakers of the car.
View from a balcony
Pool lit up blue
Lawn chairs next to the ice chest
The lyrics as well as the tunes immediately registered in your mind and you turned your head towards Rafe. An almost baffled look on your face.
Rafe had one hand on the wheel. The elbow of his free arm resting on the door where the window was pulled down. His eyes fixated on the road.
“You listen to $uicideboy$” His head turned your direction, his eyes following shortly, locking on yours. He gave you a puzzled look. No way you listened to $uicideboy$.
His eyes shifted back onto the road before they went back to you.
“Yeah.” You reached forward, your fingers spinning on the volume button. He watched as you turned up the volume.
"It's true. Cold as polar bear chilling with Stunna and Slick. I'm surrounded by tulips, got me ‘bout two clips, got me ‘bout two scripts filled up with oxy.” You rapped along with the lyrics to the song, occasionally looking over at Rafe, meeting his eyes.
His eyes shifted between you and the road. Looking you over. He listened as you rapped along to the song, his head nodding up and down to the beat.
You continued as you sunk back into the seat again, looking out the window.
“Running from the cops through the motherfucking 7th. Six bodies dropped and nobody went to heaven.” He quietly murmured with you and a small smile spread on your lips at that.
The whole drive you and Rafe rapped along to the lyrics of several $uicideboy$ songs. The volume got turned up higher and higher and you hung out the window at one point yelling the lyrics out into the quiet night. Rafe's chest rumbled as he laughed at you and took his opportunity to check you out. Your jeans riding low on your hips and the expanse of your stomach stretching as you arched out the window. The tight little t-shirt you were wearing riding up your ribcage.
He picked up his phone from the center console. And unnoticed by you he snapped a pic. Just for him.

Recess--Flash Fiction
Recess
“Where did you learn Latin?” I asked seventh grader Audie Grant. “Youtube,” Audie replied,
pulling back her hood. “The ritual is complete,” said Sasha Cohen, taking out her phone and snapping a picture of the eldritch monstrosity that was sprawled out on the rock.
“A sacrifice has been made.”
5 minutes earlier. Early afternoon in May. A few small piles of snow, a little chill poking through the air. Finally warm enough to allow the middle schoolers out in the last ten minutes of lunch to throw around a football and do generally feral things on a small, muddy patch of lawn known as the “quad” of Cumberland Hills Middle School.
I had turned my back for less than a minute, and somehow, a group of seven girls took black robes from their bags, slipped them on over their clothes, and gathered in a circle around a rock, chanting. The chants started slow, low, reverent, with the coven rocking back and forth in unison, like some kind of intricate ritual. From where I was, I couldn’t see what was in the center of the circle.
“I mean, I don’t know if there’s a school rule against chanting,” I said, to no one in particular. I was alone. Mrs. Johnston was in the lunchroom with the kids who decided to stay inside and play Minecraft or watch memes of dancing cats on Youtube.
I was a little perturbed. This didn’t seem like a joke; no one was giggling or recording on their phones. If this was a bit, everyone was committed. No one was breaking character. The din of the chanting grew more intense, and more staccato, like a murder of crows swarming on all sides, caws reverberating and echoing in the air.
Dom Hinkley stopped his football pass mid-throw, raised his hands to his ears, and the football fell in front of him like a sack of potatoes. Bradley Leigh, who was running from Spencer Philbrick after stealing his snapback off his head stopped dead in his tracks, dropping the hat in the mud.
Spencer, who was about to punch Brad in the face, stopped mid-swing, like someone pulled his plug out of a cosmic outlet. At once, the field full of kids, as if marionettes on a string, lumbered, synchronized towards the circle where the chanting reached a climax, binding a curse of which I was somehow immune. A terrible secret only understood by the middle schoolers, a whispered, fetid spell reeking of old, forgotten magic.
I sighed. This was going to end in a lot of paperwork. I moved to the circle, weaving in and out of the zombied students. By the time I reached the edge of the circle, I could see over the shoulders of the girls. In the middle, I saw a potato, levitating a foot off the ground, writhing like insects were crawling under the surface of the potato’s skin. Some tremendous energy inside of it was ready to burst out.
“Friends,” I said, barely cutting above the dull roar of the chanting, “let me remind you of our lunchtime expectations. We need to make sure we’re at an acceptable volume.”
Limbs, soggy with the fluid of birth, sprouted from the potato; two swollen arms, stubs, and two knobs of purple, infected flesh sprouted, forming the monstrosity’s feet. A face, flat, locked in a grimace of pain, formed at the top, and began screeching, blubbering, like it was screaming through a mouthful of acid.
At once, the chanting stopped, and the potato creature fell onto the rock. The zombie students seemed to wake up, their consciousnesses once again taking control of their rigid bodies, and they all blinked, confused.
Spencer cut through the sudden silence, shouting, “GIVE ME MY HAT BACK!”
The potato child looked up at the circle of girls , and raised it’s stubby, disgusting arms like a toddler signaling that it wanted to be picked up. Audie Grant, still clad in her hood, bent down and picked it up, cradling it like a child. The child cooed, and spit up a little bit of foul smelling acid on her robe.
“Ew!” Audie screamed, throwing the potato onto the rock. It hit the rock, and with a yelp of pain exploded into chunks of starch and flesh.
“Where did you learn Latin?” I asked Audie.

Lewis' Singapore GP hat is the best piece of merch I've ever bought— a dissertation
My $70 Lewis Singapore GP cap arrived today (I ordered the Silverstone one but my order was canclled because of shortages 😭😭) and it's the best merch I've ever bought. Now I know you're thinking that a hat can't be worth that much money and if you asked me yesterday, I would have agreed. However, here are the reasons why it's the best $70 I've ever spent on a piece of clothing:
The peach tie-dye aesthetic is beautiful. That is a given. It makes my medium brown skin and yellow undertones look fucking amazing. It also fits the pretty pink motifs in my room.
I run alot and I like to wear hats to block out the sun so coincidentally, I own a lot of hats. Specifically, a lot of baseball/brimmed/snapback hats and I have never gotten a hat that is so well engineered/tailored to my needs (See evidence below). First things first, the strap on the back. Let's talk about the strap on the back of the hat. There are usually 1 of 3 straps on the back of a hat and none of them work for me. Why you ask? A velcro strap sucks because my super fully agro hair gets caught in it and I basically have to rip a chunk out every time I take it off. The second is a metal buckle clasp (see Geroge's special edition hats for reference) that just isn't strong enough to contain my hair. The third is the classic rubber snapback (see the ferrari hats) that never stays connected. Before Lewis' hat, I had just accepted that I could I'd never find a hat that works for me. Lewis' hat has an adjustable strap connected to a plastic buckle that smooths over my hair and doesn't get caught. I've never gotten a hat like this.
The brim of the hat is sturdy and durable. It is also wide enough to block the sun out of my upper peripheral vision but not the sides. Does that make sense? The curve and ratio is just perfect.
On the inside of the hat, there is a sweat-wicking band for your forehead that also doesn't catch my hair.
Also the length of the front of the hat to the center is the perfect amount (for my slightly larger forehead). I was on the fence because the front of the hat was going into trucker hat territory and that's not my vibe but it's great?
The material also feels really nice and durable but also light weight. It's also breathable so my head doesn't overheat.
Tldr: I'm OBSESSED with this hat. I'm gonna wear it literally everywhere. I'm literally about to go buy another one.

A Spotter’s Guide to Men’s Designer Baseball Caps
In the dynamic world of men's fashion, personal style makes a bold statement. Designer baseball caps have emerged as more than functional accessories. With their roots tracing back to sporting heritage, these caps have seamlessly transitioned. What we view them as today are high-end fashion pieces. These men's designer caps merge aesthetics in unparalleled ways.
Tumblr media
This spotter's guide is your passport to navigate the realm of men's designer baseball caps. We have come up with an exhaustive guide of styles of baseball caps that you might like.
1.  The Snapback
The snapback is a six-panel design. It is made from six fabric panels all stitched together. On the front are two usually slightly stiffer designs. These give the cap a structured look. At the back, there’s a plastic snap-closure adjustment system. It is a cultural icon born in the 1980s. This cap perfectly captures the essence of retro and contemporary style. From sports arenas to street fashion, the snapback men's designer caps endure popularity as a testament to its ability. It is a must-have accessory for those seeking a touch of elegance.
2.  The Fitted
Fitted baseball caps have no means of adjustment. These must be purchased in the correct size. They tend to be similar to snapbacks. In terms of construction, they became closely linked to the hip-hop scene. This design not only exudes a clean and polished aesthetic but also showcases attention to detail. Fitted caps, often adorned with team logos or artistic motifs. These transcend casual wear and seamlessly integrate into streetwear and sporty ensembles. Their refined appearance and personalized fit make them a preferred choice in men's designer caps.
3.  The Dad Cap Style
One of the most popular caps of recent years is this one. The dad cap has an unstructured, low-profile build with a stiff peak. As a means of adjusting the size, it has a canvas strap and metal securing buckle. This cap is characterized by its curved brim and low-profile silhouette. Dad caps effortlessly embody a laid-back vibe reminiscent of casual everyday wear. Often adorned with simple logos, these minimalistic designs fit seamlessly into elegant aesthetics. Men's designer caps in dad styles serve as a go-to choice for those seeking an effortless look.
4.  The Unstructured
The unstructured baseball cap is a complete invertebrate. There’s no stiffness to the body. The peak, which is often worn folded upwards, is there. It is a popular style among the workwear and utilitarian fashion set. British designer Nigel Cabourn is a key proponent. These caps are distinguished by its lack of stiff internal support. There is a boast of a relaxed and adaptable form. It conforms to the wearer's head shape. If you want a more organic and casual look, unstructured caps effortlessly complement it. There are several styles from laid-back streetwear to contemporary urban outfits. Mens designer caps are supposed to effortlessly slouch. Unstructured caps give a soft feel to offer a refreshing alternative.
5.  The Luxury
High-fashion with the baseball cap has several people spawning. This breed of brimmed headwear is luxurious. Even the most historic and respected traditional hatmakers now have a baseball cap. Their subdued color palette and minimalist aesthetic define a new era of elegance. Luxury men's designer caps are an essential accessory for those seeking timeless fashion.
Conclusion
In the diverse landscape of men's fashion, personal expression takes center stage. The world of designer baseball caps stands as a fascinating microcosm. From the classic snapback to the polished elegance of the fitted cap. Each style offers a unique lens through which to view the evolution of headwear. The unstructured cap adds a twist of comfort-driven design to the mix. So, whether you're aiming to pay homage or hint at the future, these men's designer caps are perfect.

Tips for Great Commercial Embroidery on Caps
Embroidered caps are a popular promotional item, providing businesses with a versatile and stylish way to display their logos and messages. However, achieving great commercial embroidery on caps requires careful attention to detail and expertise. Here are some valuable tips to help you create exceptional embroidered designs on blank hats, particularly blank snapback hats.
Quality Blank Hats: The foundation of a great embroidery project is high-quality blank hats. Choose caps made from durable materials, such as cotton or polyester, which provide a smooth and even surface for embroidery. Blank snapback hats, with their adjustable closure and structured design, offer excellent options for showcasing your embroidered designs.
Digitize Your Design: The key to a successful embroidery project is a well-digitized design. Digitizing involves converting your logo or artwork into a digital format that embroidery machines can read. Hire a professional digitizer who can accurately translate your design into stitches, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and proper thread placement.
Thread Selection: The choice of thread plays a crucial role in the final outcome of your embroidered caps. Opt for high-quality embroidery threads that are durable and colorfast. Consider the thickness of the thread as well, as thicker threads can add dimension and impact to your designs. Experiment with different thread options to find the best match for your specific design and hat material.
Hooping Technique: Proper hooping is essential for achieving precise and well-centered embroidery. Make sure to use the correct size hoop that fits the cap's brim or crown comfortably. Tautly secure the cap in the hoop, ensuring that the fabric is smooth and free from wrinkles. This ensures that the embroidery machine can accurately stitch your design without any distortions.
Design Placement: When embroidering on caps, careful consideration of design placement is vital. Generally, the front center of the cap is the most common location for logos and artwork. However, you can also explore other areas, such as the sides or the back, depending on the design and cap style. Ensure the design is appropriately sized and centered for optimal visibility and aesthetic appeal.
Test and Adjust: Before beginning a large-scale embroidery project, it is advisable to test your design on a sample cap. This allows you to evaluate the thread tension, stitch density, and overall appearance of the design. Make any necessary adjustments to achieve the desired result before proceeding with the bulk production.
Finishing Touches: Once the embroidery is complete, pay attention to the finishing touches. Trim any loose threads and inspect the caps for any imperfections. Iron or steam the caps if necessary to remove any creases or wrinkles. This ensures that your caps look polished and professional.
In conclusion, achieving great commercial embroidery on caps requires attention to detail and adherence to specific techniques. By selecting high-quality blank hats, digitizing your design correctly, choosing the right thread, practicing proper hooping techniques, and paying attention to design placement and finishing touches, you can create outstanding embroidered caps. Whether you're promoting your brand or creating personalized merchandise, these tips will help you deliver exceptional results, particularly on blank snapback hats.

FuckinSurreal
/After leaving @PoutyIsabella’s home I drove back to the shop, my mind beat from the long day and brain fried from the news that she had laid on me. What struck me as odd was I wasn’t put off by @PoutyIsabella being a mother. No. I even looked forward to seeing her again and possibly meeting her little one, Pippa, which seemed strange for myself. I’d never been inclined to see a woman more than once, well at least not more than a roll in the sheets that is, but this was feeling much different. I didn’t have that uneasy “It’s time to get out of dodge before the expectations” creeping urge I usually got when I’d attracted a woman.
I’d crashed into the sleep rumpled sheets with heavy lids slammed shut before I hit the pillow. I awoke the next morning to #Paul pounding on the door. The contractor was almost done with the upstairs small renovation and would have the kitchen cabinets installed fully by the end of the day. I shook off the minor annoyance at being disturbed from sleeping in longer by hitting a hot shower. The scalding stream of water massaging over my hard sculpted frame was a relief to my sore muscles. Soap suds rinse down the edges of my body and swirl the drain near my feet. I snag a fresh towel off the rack, soaking up the moisture from my hard body before wrapping it low on my hips, thick fingers scratching along the low trail of hair leading below the towel’s folded edge before rustling them through the long wet strands at the top of my head.
With the day freed up for appliance shopping, I head off to tug on a fresh pair of boxer briefs, jeans, a crisp white undershirt, and red flannel before topping it all off with a flat billed snapback. Calling out a “See you later, man.” to #Paul I jog down the steps leading to the shop floor below and out the back entrance after snatching up a snack from the break room fridge. #Shace was walking up the stoop as I brush past nearly knocking him back./
Dude, you seriously need to put some weight on.
/I air punch at him, ducking my head to the right and left in a playful manner./
We should hit up the fitness center and get you pumped up. Then you’ll have all the honeys hitting you up.
“Oh fuck off, Vane. Hey, I’ve got an appointment set up for you soon. You’ll have more luck with @FuckinSwiper than myself I’m sure.”
An appointment, eh? Okay, as soon as I get back I’ll take a look at the book. You sure you’re not up for the gym? I’ll take it easy on you if you’re game for pulling on the gloves.
/A rush comes over me at the prospect of getting into the ring again. Man it had been awhile since I laced up my own gloves. #Shace grumbles a “Pass” under his breath along with some muttered words and waves me off. I clamp a palm over his narrow shoulder and chuckle deeply as I run down the rest of the cement steps with my hand delving into my front pocket for my keys. I start up the Camaro, driving out of the back lot and cruise slowly a few blocks toward 6th street before I’m halted at a red light.
My shaded eyes scanning the surrounding area while my fingers tapped along the curved steering wheel to the tune the local alternative rock station was airing. I catch sight of a large sign across the intersection with Sways blazed over it and remember @FuckinSway inviting me by to check out one of his sets.
I cross the intersection as the light changes thinking I’d hit up the place soon for a drink, maybe give @PoutyIsabella a call to join me. Any reason to see her again sounded like a good idea to me./
