oh okay heres one:

"sleepaway camp"= you go there for at least a few days, a week, sometimes several weeks, and sleep there, as opposed to a """camp""" where you go for the day and your parents or whoever picks you up afterward (those arent really camps, but like. idk when i went to "space camp" it was a weeklong but not sleepaway). in the U.S. at least, the typical image of a sleepaway camp involves staying in cabins, dunno how common it is/what it looks like in other countries.

for the first few i just mean like. not necessarily a stealth church camp, just like. idk, a camp where theres also an Assumption Of Christianity and just general vibes without being actually church camp. So, there might not be daily services and jesusy dedicatwd activities, but maybe theres still a prayer said over meals and shit. Which i assume might exist...

Pansy P.& Hermione G. fic rec

This is the best fanfiction that I have ever read in my life! Well, it's not totally true. I had read others really (like really!) good fanfiction, but this one...this one it's a masterpiece!

If you ever have loved Harry Potter in your life and be in love with Hermione Granger (like me but I didn't realized it at the time lol), if you love slow burn (the slow burn here is really something, I think I was going to die at each chapter), if you're dying for sapphic love story, if you adored enemies to lovers fics, if you want to have Pansy as a girlfriend (the Pansy of this fic is absolutely insufferably adorable) well this fic is for you.

This fic makes me blush just like I would do in front of my crush. This fic makes my heart pounding. This fic keep me wake up at night. This fic is everything.

Seriously, some people here are just born to be writers.

Well, now, I don't know what to do with my life since I finished it.

Watching The Frozen Ground (2013) and while I am sure it is a gritty horror movie for everyone else. This is a comedy. Hank from breaking bad is here. High school musical girl is here. Nic Cage is adding syllables to every place name because he can't pronounce anything. The cops in 1983 are actually more computer literate than 2023, which tracks. Its Hollywood raining and Hollywood snowing. The panorama setting shots of gorgeous Alaskan mountains have the grainy gritty dark cyan filter but I personally recognize every single shot. Like. I've had a bonfire on that beach.

The thing about this movie is that they actually filmed in in Anchorage, which means that the city actually looks right for once. But it also means that every in the entire state was aware that they were making a movie and had opinions.

and then they go to school the next day and giggle about cinnabon, play video games, and steal back a doodle saying "cassie ♡ jake" from another students house. bc theyre all like. 13 years old. and the second they stop having to carry the weight of a species and a war on their shoulders, theyre really fucking written like 13 year olds k.a. applegate did such a good job with this series
