I don’t really have many OTPs, in fact I only have two and I have ships I’m willing to tolerate otherwise the number of fics I can read are so small.

Tommy was introduced to Cat Stark - Ned’s wife -and then…

“This is Sansa, my eldest daughter.” Ned said, indicating the young woman.

Sansa looked a lot like her mother; not only because of the red hair and the blue eyes, but also because she had the same quiet elegance to her.

She didn’t look overly impressed by him as well.

“Mr. Shelby.” She told him politely, before turning to Polly.

The smile she offered Ada was much warmer. Tommy had the impression she didn’t approve much of any of this.

Just like her mother.

After many introductions, Ned offered his arm to his wife and invited them to enter the house -finally.

Ada was on Robb’s arm, and Polly took Tommy’s arm before he could even blink.

“Do not.” She said softly.

He arched an eyebrow at his aunt. “Do not what?”

“Do not look too much.” She spoke, her voice low, her eyes on Sansa Stark.

“I was not looking.” Tommy told her as they walked.

“Yes, you were.”

Tommy scoffed. “What will happen if I look too much?” He wanted to know. “Will she get dirty?”

“No. You will be tempted.”

He arched an eyebrow. “Tempted? What do you think I am?”

“A man that does not like being ignored.” Polly told him dryly.

Tommy scoffed again. She might have a point.

The Starks were lined up on the front steps of their house, like they were about to receive royalty.

There were people waiting to open the door of the car and to take it somewhere else. Ada looked from the man offering to help her out of the car to Tommy, a little shocked.

Once all the Shelbys were out of the cars, Tommy took a step ahead of the others, and so did Ned Stark.

Tommy didn’t know exactly what to think of Ned Stark. The man was a mobster by all accounts, but he also had noble blood and an odd moral code. Tommy didn’t understand the Starks very well, but he knew this was a great business opportunity.

“Mr. Stark.” He offered his hand to Ned.

“Mr. Shelby.” Ned’s handshake was firm. “Thank you for coming.”

“Thank you for having us.” Tommy told the other man politely. There was something about Ned Stark that made Tommy want to respect him.

“Robb, come here.” Ned called over his shoulder.

Robb Stark, Ned’s oldest son, stepped forward, a warm smile on his face. “Shelby.” He offered his hand to Tommy. “It’s a pleasure.”

“Pleasure is mine. Ada.” Tommy turned and gave his sister a look. “Let me introduce you.”

Ada took a deep breath in and stepped closer to them. “Hello.” Her smile was a bit uncertain.

“Hello, Miss Shelby.” Ned smiled warmly at her.

“This is Ned Stark.” Tommy said unnecessarily. “And this is Robb. This is my sister, Ada.”

Robb Stark picked her hand up and brought it to his lips. “Enchanted.” He said before dropping a kiss to said hand.

Ada blinked, and Tommy almost snorted. Apparently he wouldn’t have to worry about his sister getting married.

“Nervous?” Tommy asked Ada, since her grip on his arm was quite tight.

“Should I be?” She asked.

“No. The Starks are boringly nice for a criminal family.” Tommy told her easily. “Besides, I’ve promised you; if it doesn’t look good, we can walk away.”

Ada gave him a look. “Then what? You wrestle power from them with fire and brimstone?”

His sister was such a brat sometimes. “What do you take me for? God?”

“More like Lucifer.” She grumbled.

Arthur snorted from her other side.

“Ada, this is dinner.” Tommy insisted. “We take a look around, eat good food, see Robb Stark’s face, and then think about the future.”

“Please.” She rolled her eyes. “You probably already have seven backup plans.”

“Ten, actually.” He spoke softly, prompting a giggle from her.

The car had finally cleared the tree line and they could see the ancestral home of the Starks, the place known as Winterfell.

“Holy fuck.” Arthur was gobsmacked.

“That can be your future house.” Tommy pointed out to Ada.

“Oh my Lord. I would need a map.” She turned to him. “How rich are they?”

“Really rich. And…” Tommy looked out the window, “They’re waiting for us outside.”

Ada followed his eyes and, just as he’d said, there was a group of people waiting in front of the house.

“Are you ready?” Tommy asked Ada.

She took a deep breath in. “I’m a Shelby. I was born ready.”

Freddie died in the war on this one, Ada hates less being part of the Shelby family and is somewhat willing to help them.

Tommy took a drag off his cigarette and gave his aunt Polly a look. “I’m not going to make her do anything.”

“You already have a dinner planned with the Starks!” Polly hissed furiously. “Are you really going to sell your sister to them just for power?”

“I’m not going to sell her to anyone.” Tommy insisted. “Ned Stark suggested that a marriage would be a better way to solidify an alliance between us. I just said I might be open to the idea.”

“Yes, and in case we fight, he has a hostage in his favor already.” Polly accused.

“He won’t do that.” Tommy sighed. “Ned Stark isn’t that kind of man.”

“That’s what they all say.” Polly scoffed.

“Nothing is set on stone.” Tommy’s patience was running thin. “I won’t force her to marry him. If we get there and it looks suspicious, we’ll get out, end of story.”

“I don’t like this.” Polly wasn’t backing down. “We don’t know what they might do to her. They’re completely different from us. Let’s be honest; they have blue blood, why would they want to marry into our family?”

“This is just a dinner.” Tommy told her firmly.

Polly pressed her lips together, clearly still unhappy with this. “What did Ada say?”

“She’s willing to meet Robb Stark.”

Polly sighed. “I’ll be going to this dinner.” She informed him.

“We all are. Ned invited the whole family.”

“I don’t like this.”

“Don’t worry. I’ll be prepared for them.”
