Advancing Game Development Ethics through Diversity, Representation, and Inclusivity
Tumblr media
Blockverse Infotech Solutions, a leading mobile game development agency, stands at the forefront of innovation and creativity in the gaming industry. With a commitment to ethical mobile game development practices, Blockverse Infotech Solutions recognizes the importance of addressing diversity, representation, and inclusivity within the gaming landscape. In an era where digital entertainment serves as a powerful tool for shaping societal perceptions and values, game developers hold a significant responsibility in promoting positive social change. This article delves into the critical role of ethics in game development, emphasizing the need for diversity, representation, and inclusivity in shaping a more equitable and inclusive gaming industry.
Diversity in mobile game development encompasses various aspects, including the representation of different cultures, backgrounds, genders, sexual orientations, abilities, and perspectives. By embracing diversity, game developers can create richer and more authentic gaming experiences that resonate with a diverse audience. Moreover, diverse development teams bring unique insights and ideas to the table, fostering innovation and creativity in game design.
Blockverse Infotech Solutions prioritizes diversity in its development teams, recognizing that diverse perspectives lead to more inclusive and culturally relevant games. By actively recruiting and supporting developers from underrepresented groups, Blockverse Infotech Solutions ensures that its games reflect the diversity of the global gaming community.
Representation plays a crucial role in fostering inclusivity and empowering marginalized communities within the gaming space. When players see themselves represented in games, they feel validated and empowered, fostering a sense of belonging and inclusivity. However, representation in games goes beyond mere tokenism; it requires authentic and respectful portrayals that avoid harmful stereotypes and tropes.
Blockverse Infotech Solutions strives to promote positive representation in its games by featuring diverse characters, storylines, and settings that reflect the complexity and diversity of the real world. By consulting with experts and community stakeholders, Blockverse ensures that its representations are authentic and culturally sensitive, thereby fostering a more inclusive gaming environment.
Inclusivity in game design entails creating experiences that are accessible and enjoyable for players of all backgrounds and abilities. This includes considerations such as customizable controls, subtitles, colorblind options, and diverse difficulty settings to accommodate a wide range of players. By prioritizing inclusivity, mobile game developers can ensure that everyone can participate in and enjoy their games, regardless of any barriers they may face.
Blockverse Infotech Solutions integrates inclusivity into its game design process from the outset, prioritizing accessibility features and user-friendly interfaces to ensure that its games are welcoming to players of all backgrounds and abilities. By making inclusivity a core principle of its design philosophy, Blockverse Infotech Solutions seeks to set a precedent for ethical game development practices within the industry.
As the gaming industry continues to evolve, it is essential for game developers to prioritize ethics and social responsibility in their work. By addressing diversity, representation, and inclusivity, developers can create more inclusive and socially impactful games that reflect the diversity of the global gaming community. Blockverse Infotech Solutions exemplifies this commitment to ethical game development, serving as a beacon of innovation and inclusivity within the industry. Through collaborative efforts and a dedication to positive social change, mobile game developers can shape a more equitable and inclusive gaming landscape for future generations.

Special circle of hell for game devs that still subject you to a diabolical grind to earn purchasable extras you’ve already paid for and make you wait significant real time hours to even slightly progress the main story of the game you’ve already paid for and then punish you by corrupting your save file or revoking basic game features if you attempt to try and get around the absurd restrictions in the game you’ve already paid for. You shell out so much money for a game, the least you could do is, oh I don’t know, let me play it

Sending much love and positive vibes to you and also, holy shit, am I so glad to find you are alright and doing better now. I have been a huge fan since conception of the game and I have been typing the blog name frequently to see if you have returned. So to see the blog be in public with a new post was such a great surprise.
If you are to create a new blog, will you keep the name and just change the current, soon to be old, blog's name and/or delete it, or will you be choosing a new name instead? Will that affect the game's own title? What type of changes do you plan to implement, like romance system, plotline, characters (personality, number of, relations), etc.?
Once again, happy to see you back!
Hello! Thank you for this kind ask.
I think I'll keep the name and change the current (maybe keep this one private in the future, but too attached to actually delete it). I was going back and forth about the game title but I think it'll stay as "The Rosy Ones". I thought it was tacky after a while (probably just because things get old when you use it a lot) but it makes sense with how story goes.
As for type of changes, I do change the romantic interests. This is something that I spent months thinking about but ultimately decided that it'd be too much for me to handle having so many characters. Instead of the six original ROs and two hidden ones, there are five ROs now (one F, one M, and the rest gender switchable). I changed all of their names because ultimately they are sort of different characters now (the readers won't notice, though, since most of the changes are stuff I haven't put on the public demo yet).
The characters will be recognizable and it'll be obvious which ones were "scrapped" but the scrapped ROs still live in those who stayed. I had to make sure that the characters are staying for the plot, and not solely for romance. I was heartbroken having to leave some characters behind so I'd understand if others are also heartbroken over it. Some characters will be recognizable because of their archetype but they have changed so much that they're basically different characters put into these archetypes now (again, I don't know if people will notice though since the changes are more obvious in the scenes I haven't published).
Plot is basically still the same but Rosetail's backstory is now much, much bigger than I originally planned (and thus, other characters' backstories are bigger and meatier too). The lore is different since I chose to create new gods for this one. Same with ROs, these gods might still be a little recognizable but they're very different now. Backstories and relationships are all different now. Magic system is a little different too.
I know it's a lot of changes but I was basically bullshitting my way through the first few drafts (high on mania and no sleep) and I've come to love the idea too much to just keep bullshitting my way through the rest of the game. For people who were here since the very, very, very first demos/posts, this game will probably be unrecognizable and I'm sorry for that. I just felt like it'd be a shame to keep going with the story even when I felt like certain changes could make it better and feel more like "mine".
Thank you for this ask, and I hope I answered your questions!

#23 for the ask game!
- @adhdprincess
Fanfic ask game
Hey Mimi! Thank you so much for sending this, and I hope you've been doing well :)
23. What’s a story you’d love to write but haven’t even started yet?
*Hides a long list of ideas that are sitting inside my head* just... just one?????
I have had vague ideas over certain stuff, and they clatter around my brain often, but if I had to pick something I would love working on, then I must say Spy AU is up there!
As usual this idea is a collaboration with my best friend/muse/biggest fan Koku and we have talked about this often, we have a board for it on Pinterest and we have certain important narrative beats for when I wrote it, IF I wrote it, so it's a neat idea that I haven't been able to focus on and work on it and the more I think about it the less I feel suited for an au of this kind even though I watched certain noir films and for some reason got a burst of inspiration lol
It's not the most groundbreaking AU ever, but Joel and Tess get paired up by Marlene even though Joel hates it at first because he always works alone and well Tess is Tess and she doesn't do teamwork but she'll manage. Joel is a retired soldier and a grieving dad, Sarah got killed and he divorced his wife, so he's closed off and surly most times and he's kind of living with no goals since he lost Sarah. Meanwhile Tess never ever had such a thing as a family bc all this time she was merely a weapon since she was a spy and she hasn't had a good life either so that's what eventually gets them to be more closer. At some point they have to fake being married and that is something fun to imagine. They almost die all the time. There's some betrayal at some point. There's so much denial of feels.
There's also like a very au of an au of an au (au-ception) and the simplified version is that Joel doesn't lose Sarah and he's a regular dad living his life and Tess is his neighbor who just moved there for a mission and wasn't supposed to care for Joel and Sarah, and Joel ends up falling for her before she leaves (after the mission is done) and then one random day ELLIE HAPPENS, a few years later there's Marlene at his door with a little girl who happens to be his (he already knows who the mom is) and he's so worried for Tess wherever she is because they clearly didn't keep in contact and of course her life is dangerous so she can't be close to them. But then they reunite somehow!

GUYS!!! CAW EDIT IN GAME IS FIXED!!!!!! THIS IS NOT A DRILL!!!!
I returned to the issue today, again, because I have this new world I have started. I was working on it despite CAW's edit in game not working. On the very same thread I posted my complaint on someone has now responded with a fix!!! AND IT WORKED!!!
**CRYING**
Tumblr media
This ABSOLUTE GEM OF A HUMAN BEING has solved it!!
These are my steps if they help anyone:
My directory is : This PC > Local Disk > Program Data > Origin > Local Content (I had to search for my directory, the one I found under programx86 is where I found CAW, but it was not the current directory for the Sims 3. I noticed this was not the correct directory due to 'Into the Future' not showing up. I 'Search this PC'd for 'Into the Future', right clicked, and opened file location revealing my correct current directory.
I copy and pasted my CAW file into this directory
IT WORKED!!!
Please note that if you run on 12th Gen and need to use the PowerShell Script work around to launch the game, then you will also need to launch the PowerShell Script to run Edit in Game. No changes need to be made to the script!!!!!
