-definetly gets worried after he sees you on the ground crying like that.

-"no... my love, what's wrong? you can talk to me, okay?"

-all while the pet was in the corner of the room, unphased.

-if left the room soon enough, but that was unnoticed by gaming.

-after you did your best at explaining the situation to him, he understood what you meant.

-a bit confused as to why were you thag worried about it, but he reassured you that your pet was fine and that they most probably forgive you.

-he's going to cuddle the pet with you to help you "apologize" to it.

-with gaming there, your pet will forget about what happened and just cuddle with the two of you there like nothing ever happened<3

-he'll prove it to you too.

-but first he would first make you take your mind off of it for a bit.

-and then feed the pet together as some parents to their 3yo child.

-now, speaking of him proving it to you, he'll just let you pet it and let it slowly lean into your gentle caressing of it.

-the only time he was lucky in his life was when he got to be with you.

-you just looked to precious being happy that your pet has forgiven you.

-the funny part was the fact that the pet was just more fond of wanderer, rather than you, despite forgiving you for anything and everything.

-for some unknown reasons, all animals like him, really.

-and then after he understands why you're doing all of that, he shows a bit more of emotion.

-hardly spotted, but it's there.

-"well... i know something that can improve your mood. what do you call a-"

-you just give him a death stare. he doesn't continue speaking from there.

-afterwards, you'll feel the little cutie together and see that it's totally fine!

-you will get to hear the joke he was meaning to say sometime later, now he just doesn't wanna irritate you, he feels as if you need happiness now, not his dumb dad jokes.

-he genuinely gets worried.

-now, after telling you to take a few deep breaths, calm down, and drink a glass of water, he sits you down and lets you explain everything in great detail.

-then he brings the pet to the both of you, while he checks the pet for any scars, but they fortunately aren't there!

-you get incredibly happy and hug both tighnari and the pet, but he still doesn't understand if ut was worth the crying on the floor.

-your pet literally still loved you.

-but at least he was happy to help.

“Wait, Y/N—” He stops you in your tracks. He needs a rundown. He needs a repeat on why you're leaving him. “Why— why are you—”

“Why?” You stop yourself from crying out loud, “Because you're killing yourself over me.”

He stops in his tracks. Him? Killing himself over you? What are you saying? He's fine, he's perfectly fine, as long as he's with you!

“Wh– What makes you say that? Please, love, don't go away. Don't leave, tell me what's wrong, I can make it right!”

“You were making your way back up in life before we started dating.” You begin. Your voice became soft and sorrowful, holding in layers of guilt for this poor, poor man before you. “You were making money for yourself, and you were finally helping yourself become financially stable.”

“So it's the money?” He lets out an exasperated laugh, as if he were relieved at the circumstance. He smiles with slight relief in his eyes, and he reassures you, “Don't worry! I'll find more jobs, then I'll earn enough to buy you more things. Hell, the money you gave me when... when you told me you were leaving, I– I can use it!”

His smile stays for a bit, but it fades when he watches your expression sadden.

“It wasn't about getting me gifts. You need the money for yourself, not me. I'm fine with everything I have. I gave you the money because you need it to take care of yourself again.”

You can't bear to look at his confused face. He's such a sweetheart, and it hurts like hell to leave him, but it's for the best if it means he only has to support himself, and not two people.

“But... If you just need me to be financially stable, that's fine. I can do that, then afterward, I can buy—”

“Honey, that's not it. You need the money for yourself and yourself only, don't count material things for me.”

“But— I just... I don't want you to leave. We can work this out. We can work it out together.”

You pause, hesitating. The door stands tall behind you. You don't want to leave him; he's your darling, but guilt overrides your heart, and you take your stance.

“I wanted to work it out with you, so I've tried. We've discussed this so many times, remember? But when you did become financially stable again, you wasted it all away for me on Valentine's Day. I loved that gift— I love you, I love you so much, but I can't keep watching you destroy yourself.”

He finally feels the tear rolling, and yours begin to pour.

“And since you only begin to listen when I'm on the verge of leaving, I feel like it would help you more than it would hurt if I left.”

“But I can't do this without you!”

He runs up to you, trying to hug you, but you're out the door, and he falls to the ground, sobbing on his knees and watching you leave. It's terrible, it's horrible, but he can't bring himself to stand up and chase you. To his surprise, you kneel by him and hold his cheek.

“I don't want you to do this alone. But you have to, if it means you'll be able to live again.”

And there's a pause between you two. It's raining, drizzling raindrops coat your hair and lather across your clothes, as it does with his. The air is thick; bridges are burning. This was not something he could ever recover from, but you have a whole future ahead of you, away from him. Was he holding you back the whole time? Did any of this interfere with your work? With your mental stability?

Please, take him back. Keep him with you.

“I left a great sum of money with you.” You pull yourself together and stand. Your sudden stability towers over his— considering as he lacks it. “If you section it correctly, you'll have enough to pay the bills for almost two years, and you'll have money left over for about three months to buy yourself luxurious food and some nice clothes. If you don't look for luxury, that will last you a while, more than enough to look for a whole new job.”

“I don't care.” He finally manages to cry out, and he holds your waist in a final, desperate attempt to keep you with him. “I don't care. I– I don't want money,

I just want you.”

But he can't keep you. You glance at your driver and signal for her to wait. You lift your ex-boyfriend back up and take him back into the house, seating him on the couch. You take one final look around the shabby living room, and you sigh.

“I'd tell you to come back when you can handle everything better, but by then, I'm sure you'll have met someone new.”

“But what if I don't?”

“Then feel free to come back when you're comfortable. I'm glad you're so kind and loving, but I simply just couldn't stand watching you waste your future away for me.”

You stand up and kiss him one last time. He, like usual, doesn't process it in time to kiss you back, and before he could reciprocate, you bow and wave a goodbye, and you're out the door.

You grab the doorknob and— before you close the door, you turn around and mutter the quietest, soon meaningless ‘I love you,’ and you gently close the door,

and that was the end of it all.

You said that he should build a new future for himself, but with his tearful eyes glaring hot, burning laser beams at the door, it's very safe to say that this future is starting off terribly far from a good one.

He needs a restart; he's realized it before, but he never wanted to start over like this—

He never wanted to see a future without you in it. But you're gone. All that's left are the remaining photos you haven't taken, as well as the money you've left for him.

He hears the car drive off into the distant future.

He hears the car skid into your new future.

He knows why you left him now, but he doesn't know why you needed to.

If only he could get you to repeat it one last time. But there are no repeats.

notes: i love this prompt so much omg. i’ve read a lot of fics other people have written for different fandoms and i’m actually shocked i haven’t written it before considering i eat it up every time (especially when there’s some angst 🫠)

gaming:

the first time he sees you wipe off his kiss, something in him dies a little, especially when you don’t say anything after he asks if you’re okay

so he starts doubting himself and compensating for where he may went wrong

maybe he had bad breath? or you weren’t having a good day today?

he hates that he doesn’t know what he did wrong, and even worse, why you keep doing it throughout the day

you only stop when you see the way he genuinely starts beating himself up over it, deciding it wasn’t funny anymore and honestly never was

“it was a prank,” you nudge him softly, regret overflowing from your voice, “i’m sorry, i didn’t mean to hurt your feelings. i shouldn’t have kept it going for so long.”

a relieved breathe and a small smile from him follow right after. you can tell he’s still a bit stuck on the whole thing, but deep down, he’s just grateful he didn’t screw up somewhere because there’s no way in hell gaming would ever let himself lose you

“it’s okay,” he breathes out, clutching your hand a little tighter than usual, “just please, don’t do it again, okay?”

kujou sara:

to say she’s confused is an understatement

she’ll immediately backtrack to make sure she actually just saw that correctly. did you really just wipe off her kiss?

so she goes in for another one, and sure enough, you dodge her this time and send her a quick goodbye before slipping out of the house and running off to work

it legitimately ruins her whole day. she can’t even function at work because it’s all she can think about

and by the time she’s home at night, she’s already tired and just wants you but she’s also too afraid that maybe she did something to upset you

fortunately for her, you spare her of the prank knowing your girlfriend well enough to know that the second she walks through the door she had a shitty day

so you apologize and tell her it was just a prank and you didn’t mean any harm

and she wants to be so mad at you for it, but literally can’t no matter how hard she tries so instead she just gives in and gets the kiss she’s been thinking about all day

heizou:

he realizes right away what you’re doing and finds it rather amusing

so he’ll play along too, not trying to kiss you at all and even going a step further and not showing you any sort of physical attention

try to hold his hand? not happening. hugging him? not a chance

and it ends up becoming a competition, because what can you say? you’re both competitive people

goes on until the end of the day and only ends when you’re both too tired to keep it up

“you’re no fun, you know?” you poke his chest as you tiredly lean against him

he smiles down at you, “how so? i let you play your little pranks, didn’t i? i even played along.”

you just scoff and scoot away, tucking yourself into the warm blankets and ignoring his teasing

but then he’ll grab you and pull you into his chest, giving into you, “fine. next time i’ll give you the reaction you want. happy now?”

tighnari:

the opposite of heizou: he’s very unamused, and is very aware of what’s going on.

as soon as you back away from him after he tries to kiss you, his face falls into a deadpan and he crosses his arms menacingly

“i’ll have you know i don’t find pranks like these very funny,” he’ll immediately tell you off, not wanting to act so childishly when it comes to affection

tighnari cares a lot about people, whether he shows it or not, so to have you pretend to dodge it upsets him — even if it is meant to be a mere lighthearted prank

so you apologize instantly, feeling a little bad over the whole ordeal, “it’s just a prank, you know? i thought it would be funny to see how you’d react.”

definitely the kind of person to feel a little bashful and guilty for overreacting over something so silly, but also doesn’t want to admit it

so he’ll just silently kiss you and act like nothing happened, secretly hoping you’ll never try to pull something like that again

cyno:

at first, he thinks it’s kinda funny since he always plays jokes. however, i think he’s similar to tighnari in the sense that he also takes a little offense to it

like, he knows it’s a joke, but he just can’t help feeling a little hurt over it

“is something the matter?” he’ll ask while you’re both on the way to meet with friends. you shake your head no, fighting a smile

defeatedly, he leaves it at that, knowing you won’t budge. he’ll feel miserable the entire time and won’t stop thinking about how you won’t give the prank up, even in front of your friends

and when you both leave for the night, he crosses his arms and confronts you as you both walk home, “it isn’t funny.”

“what isn’t funny?”

“your prank. it isn’t funny. i don’t like the way you’re avoiding kissing me,” he says bluntly. it makes your heart sink into your stomach a bit, admittedly starting to feel a bit bad

so you apologize and work everything out, telling him you got the idea from alhaitham who was curious to see how he’d react in a situation like that — that, and he felt like pissing cyno off for a day, but you didn’t need to know that part

he’ll get frustrated, but is glad it’s all settled. he’ll also be extra affectionate throughout the next week, feeling as if he somehow lost time with you

kaveh:

gets so offended omg he will literally hate you

the first time you do it, his jaw drops to the floor and he calls you out on it immediately

“what was that?” he points an accusatory finger at you

you bite back a smile and feign innocence, “huh? what are you talking about?”

will not let you leave for the day until you drop the act and properly return his kiss

when you continue to go on with the prank, however, he’ll start to get all pouty and just ask you to kiss him

and he just looks so cute that you cup his face and give him a big fat kiss and walk out the door immediately after without a word and a big smile on your face, satisfied with his reaction

lyney:

he gets so dramatic about it it’s not even funny

will literally clutch his chest and fall to the ground in public so that you stop him

when you don’t and you let him face public humiliation (because you find it funny too), he stops himself and gets back up

follows you around like a lost puppy all day and will constantly try to sneak in a kiss while you’re caught of guard, but you never fall for it and he gets so much more frustrated each and every time

then he begs lynette and freminet to help him, except they think it’s funny too seeing how whipped he is for you

and he knows it’s a prank too, but the fact that you won’t break makes him so lovingly annoyed with you

you don’t stop until lynette genuinely intervenes, complaining about how annoying lyney had gotten throughout the day, “please end his suffering already. you know my brother is an idiot who doesn’t shut up and i’ve had enough of him today.”

you laugh it off, but ultimately agree

so you go and find him, which wasn’t that hard, and tap him on the shoulder before planting a gentle kiss to his lips, “sorry for pranking you. it was just too funny of an opportunity to pass up.”

“you’re so mean to me,” he’ll complain, but will then continue to kiss you so often that you’re now the annoyed one instead

sunlight filters through the tree leaves above; soft bright streams pouring out of every gap as a mellow summer breeze travels through the air that becomes sweeter with the passing of time.

chin resting on your hand, a brief sigh escapes through your nose as you gaze upon the unperturbed green tea fields and azure skies.

compared to the ever lively and bustling dawns of liyue harbor, mornings in qiaoying village are always so serene and full of bliss tranquility.

tea merchants rise with the sound of birds chirping in the distance, greeting them anew as they prepare for the day’s work that lies ahead. meanwhile, the locals step out of their homes one by one, preparing to either hang their washed laundry or indulge themselves in a refreshing cup of fine morning tea with savoring dim sum—much like yourself.

you watch as a faint steam continues to emit from your untouched cup of tea, patiently waiting for the heat to simmer down a bit.

although many would argue that tea is best enjoyed when it’s piping hot (much to the point of burning your lips upon first sips) you prefer to have a lukewarm tea and therefore, a lighter start to your mornings.

you feel a slight nudge on your leg, drawing your attention beneath the table and at the small critter cuddling up around your feet, purring softly.

smiling, you reach down, brushing down its fur in gentle caresses, “good morning man chai.”

“gah…that’s the third time that little rascal beats me to give you the morning greetings.”

several steps away, you see gaming who appears slightly short of breath. taking a moment to steady his breathing, he eventually makes his way over to you, wasting no time to engulf you in a loving hug, resting his head above yours.

“and good morning to you gaming.” you laugh, rubbing his arms that remained wrapped around your neck, consciously leaning back into his embrace.

“oooh is that sunglo tea i smell and…” he takes a sniff at the air once more and his face instantly brightens up as he looks down at you with expectant eyes. “steamed dumplings?”

you nod. “yup! steamed dumplings made especially for you.”

a wave of happiness now surging through him, gaming gives you another tight hug before taking a seat in the stone chair beside you, fully prepared to stomach as much as he can for today’s breakfast.

the critter from before slowly begins to peek its head out from under the table, particularly eyeing the fresh batch of dumplings in gaming’s hands.

“no way man chai!” gaming quickly snatches away the basket of steamed dumplings away from man chai’s prying paws, “first you steal my morning greetings and now you want to steal my dumplings. well not this time, buddy.”

another small chorus of laughter sounds from you. “c’mon gaming, don’t you think you’re being a little too unfair with him?”

“unfair? if anything he’s the one that’s been unfair for the last three days!” gaming argues, much like a child bickering with his siblings, “maybe now he’ll think about his actions.”

though you know he’ll never admit it, you can’t help but find it adorable at how he constantly vies for your full undivided attention in small but subtle ways.

for starters, gaming has made it his sole mission to be the first person to greet you a good morning at the start of every day before he heads to yilong wharf for work. something that naturally became routine.

apart from that, he absolutely loves returning home to talk with you about any and all he’s heard or experienced on the road for that particular day. or when he’s prepared a new performance for his hobby of wushou dancing, he wants you to be one of the first ones to see it and hear your instant feedback or high praises—more so the latter.

you on the other hand, always find his cheerful demeanor and glint of excitement that appears in his eyes each time he talks to be quite endearing. and while for the most part, gaming is usually the one talking the most between you two, you’re more than content with just listening to his musings.

seeing a disheartened man chai, you give the small creature a reassuring pat on the head, offering him a piece of food from your own plate.

“there! a fed man chai is a happy man chai!” you cheer, watching him happily eat away at the food as gaming sighs with a small frown.

now in an attempt to appease an envious gaming, you slowly lean over and plant a small unexpected kiss on his cheek that catches him off guard.

“happy now too?” you ask with a soft smile.

all he could conjure up in that moment was but a small nod. however, seeing the way his cheeks slightly reddened and the way his eyes struggled to meet yours was enough to tell you he was more than satisfied with your actions.

as if sensing his pet’s antics from a mile away, gaming instantly moves to shield you, having no desire to share any more of your attention with anyone else.

“don’t even think about it man chai!”

sigh, what ever shall you do with him.

end note: im on a streak rn of doing these late night writing sessions fr…and it’s lowkey not okay for my already sleep deprived self. BUT TBF i wanted to post something for valentines day which is now today even if it’s not entirely related to the holiday itself. i for one took this opportunity to write a little something for my son gaming :3

He notices the first time you do this. He was about to leave for a work trip when you decided to play this prank on him. "I love you, darling" He said kissing you goodbye and you just smiled at him "Bye, Ayato" you said happily. "Dear, I said I love you." He said as you went back to what you were doing. "I heard you" you said happily working. He gave you a confused look "Can you say it back please?" he said coming up behind you. He hugged you from behind and rested his chin on your shoulder. He kissed your cheek and looked into your eyes. You rolled your eyes and sighed; He had figured out what you were doing. "I love you too Ayato" you said smiling at him.

You came to visit Albedo at dragonspine and you had stayed a few hours, but you had to go back to the city since it was going to get dark soon. "Be safe y/n, I love you" he said, his nose buried in his work. "Bye Albedo" you said as you kissed him on the cheek and left. He didn't think about it till later that night when he was thinking about you. He realized you hadn't said "I love you" back.

You came back to visit him the next morning and when you got there, he greeted you with a hug and a kiss. "I love you y/n" he said. You smiled and sat down on the couch in his office. He frowned and looked at you. "Are you upset with me?" he said sitting down next to you. You shook your head "Why would I be mad at you?" you said. "You haven't said I love you back" he said giving you a confused look. You felt terrible and you couldn't keep it up anymore and you admitted to pranking him. He sighed and kissed your cheek "You're strange y/n" he said before getting back up and going back to work.

Venti closed his eyes and expected to hear a response but after a few seconds of not hearing a response he opened one eye and looked down at you "Y/n I said I love you" he said. "I heard you, Venti" you responded trying not to laugh or break character. "Can you say it back please" He said. You just nuzzled into the pillow trying to keep a straight face.

He sighed and rolled over and started pouting "hmph!" he said crossing his arms. You couldn't hold your laugh anymore and when you started laughing, he rolled back over "What's so funny!?" he said in a frustrated tone. You explained to him that you were just messing with him, and he rolled his eyes "Yeah i knew you were joking!!" he said rolling his eyes as he wrapped his arms around you again.

You explained that you were just joking, and he laughed and kissed your cheek. "Okay, you got me" he said gently.

~Gaming would definitely be super happy if you would hold his hand or any small gesture to show love and it would give him energy to get through the day.

~He would ask you your opinion with a lot of things. “Do you like these pastries?” “Does my shirt look wrinkled at all?” “What should we do today?”

~Always asks you to go to his shows! He wants to see you there and see you smile while he dances.

~If he notices that you’re sad he will stop whatever he’s doing scurry up to you and do anything that would cheer you up. Whether it be shopping or just having a hug, he would do anything for his love ❤️

Xiao

Since you started dating Xiao, you spend every minute of your free time with him at Wangshu inn. The adeptus is almost always busy with his duty as the protector of Liyue, making it hard for the 2 of you to spend time together. You both try your best to make up for the lost hours, usually opting for hanging out in his room at the inn instead of going out. At first, the idea of physical touch made Xiao sick. Not that he doesn't love you, he's just worried that if he stays too close to you, his karmic debt might hurt you. It took several weeks of you initiating physical touch like hand holding and short hugs for him to warm up to the idea. In fact, he has grown to like it so much that he – sometimes when he's very tired and feeling needy – initiates physical contact himself. While you enjoy kissing and hugging your boyfriend, sometimes it's just not enough. He’s just adorable :(((( You get up from your spot on your shared bed, making your way to Xiao who’s currently cleaning his spear. You’re currently waiting for him “Y/N” you turn around, eyes scanning the crowd spotting your boyfriend a few meters away from you waving. You smile at him, returning the wave as he makes his way to you. He greets you with a hug, tightly embracing you. As he pulls away, you kiss his cheek adding a soft bite at the end. After a long day, what’s better than coming home to be with the one you love? After a day of running errands in Liyue – courtesy of Beidou – the only thing you crave is the touch of your lover Kazuha. As you get on the Crux, your eyes immediately wander around for the sight of your boyfriend's blond hair. You catch sight of him in the bird's nest,where he’s  probably writing haikus that he will give you later. Deciding to let him be, you head to your shared cabin. You get changed and decide to lay in bed, picking up a book waiting for Kazuha. He enters the cabin a few hours later, silently closing the door behind him, greeting you with a soft smile. “Hi love, how did your day go?” you perk up at the sound of his voice, closing the book you were reading to give him your undivided attention. “Hi baby! My day went well, I ran errands for Beidou.” you sit up, “wrote any good haikus while you were up there?” Kazuha smiles, silently nodding. He takes out the red notebook you got him for his birthday, opening it. “Would you like to hear it?” “Of course.” The samurai clears his throat: “Oh night, embrace me, Wind's touch gentle on my skin, Stars reveal love's light.” you stand there dumbfounded, while it became a habit for your boyfriend to write and read you haikus, you cannot help but be flustered by the display of affection. You hid your face from him by burying it in a pillow. Kazuha chuckles, at your flustered state, taking a seat on the bed. “Come on love, don't be shy” after coaxing you into leaving your hiding spot, he pulls you into a hug, his hands finding purchase on your hips. You nuzzle your face into his neck, silently pampering kisses on his soft skin. You softly bite him at the junction of his neck, a small revenge for how easily he was able to fluster you. His body tenses under your touch, you immediately jerk up, looking at your boyfriend wondering if you'd somehow angered him. To your surprise – and delight – you’re met with a shy, blushy Kazuha, which is quite rare for the calm and composed samurai. Teasing at the unexpected gesture and reaction, which you will repeat in the future just to see his pretty face harbored with blush :)

Heizou

Heizou has a habit of flustering you. At this point you’re suspecting he’s doing it on purpose, you can no longer count on your fingers the number of times the detective surprised you with flirtatious remarks, unexpected kisses or pick up lines. Getting up from your reading spot, you make your way to the kitchen where Heizou is making dinner. You wrap your arms around his waist, your head on his shoulder, admiring his cooking skills. “It looks good, i'm so hungry” “thank you my dear, it will be ready soon.” A comfortable silence fills the kitchen, the sound of your breathing and cooking the only sounds. You sign deeply, and start pampering kisses on his neck, slowly making your way to his shoulder, where you softly bite the detective’s shoulder. Your antics are rewarded with a soft gasp – or moan? –  from him. “My my my~ you seem quite needy today.”  You start giggling, hiding your face in the crook of his neck, your cheeks warming up. (you’ll definitely tease him about that moan)

Your heart swells when you see them hug, waiting for your moment to finally introduce yourself to his father as ga-mings girlfriend. Your family already knows ga-ming, your parents see him as their own now, actually most of the time he sleeps at your place ever since he ran away from his own home.. but you meeting his family now? “are we there yet?” you whined for about the fifth time since you both set off from liyue harbor with GAMING, your best friend, or sorta. you weren’t too sure what you were at the moment, stuck in this tricky spot between friends and more than friends. you weren’t too brave anyway to find out what you were, in fear that you’d ruin your friendship with him.  

he slowed down for a bit, allowing you to catch up to him before continuing to walk alongside you. he’s close to you, maybe a little too close that you could feel your breath hitch at the way his fingers nearly touched yours. “almost! getting tired, are you?”  

“pfft nope.” you huffed, your lips popping at the ‘p’ as you looked away from him in mock offense.

“don’t be like that!” he pouted, pulling you closer to him until your hip bumped his. you swore it was like you were a malfunctioning ruin guard, hands covering your face that were quickly flushing an embarrassing shade of red.  

you let out a sigh of relief when you finally arrived at your destination, a little island off the coast of yaoguang shoal. you knew every part of your homeland like the back of your hand, but you’ve never been here before. he looked proud for a moment, puffing his chest like the lions he’d dance to would at the start of every performance.  

“i came across here when i ran away from home a while back.” GAMING explained slowly, grabbing your hand and dragging you with him. the sudden movement was so jarring that you were momentarily shocked, tripping over a rock in your path and nearly falling flat on your face. that was, if he hadn’t caught you by your waist.  

and time slows down for a moment, and you can see the gorgeous sunset, the sun melting into the sky, painting it into a view you’ve never seen before. the sun dancing across the sky, the fleeting colors of dusk began to fade away. the sound of water lapping at the shore calmly, like placing a kiss on the forehead of your beloved, you can picture kissing him, and you nearly fall back down again.  

you’re both stuck in this awkward position, unsure how else to move away and save yourselves from what would entail your relationship afterwards. his hands on your waist and your arms hanging around his neck, him dipping you in a position reminiscent of the final move of a waltz. the same move you’d read in a novel and squeal afterwards when the protagonist kisses his love interest.  

“i took you here because of this special place; i heard about it from the traveler and paimon.” he doesn’t catch on to the rising heat in your cheeks, your face could just blend in with the pink sky right now. you’re somewhat relieved that he could carry on with whatever he wanted to say, blatantly ignoring the position you were both stuck in.  

“for the beach? it’s a beautiful sunset.” your voice came off as squeaky, making you wince, and that voice in your ears began to wail in agony because you kept screwing up around him.  

he paused for a moment. you can hear the squawking of seagulls and the hollow tapping that came with the crabs knocking on starconches. “actually, it’s because i heard that it’s good luck for couples to come to the heart island.”  

this time you nearly fall over again, your hands slipping from him as GAMING quickly caught you and brought you back to your feet. that’s when you realised that the rocks surrounding you both were in the shape of a heart, and your pulse started to race even faster at the implications of his words. and some part of you feels so relieved that you could just lie down on the beach and just be one with the sand.

“then i hope that superstition is true,” you beamed at him, and it was his turn to be embarrassed.  

the golden sands of the beach are beautiful, and the sun gives you life, but they could never compare with the color of his eyes and the kiss you felt like you'd waited your whole life for.

-he's the type to look at you surprisingly. you??? asking HIM to carry you? he'd be flustered for a bit, and then try to act confident again.

-like "oh, of course, mon amour! come here!..."

-he's strong enough, but he would STILL be worried. he would overthink so so sooo much.

-what if he drops you? well, he won't. he's just an overthinker.

-and when he'd finally pick you up, bridal style because he's the most comfortable like that, he would start sweating.

-but of course, masking it all with some "confidence". so the two of you ended up in either one of these situations:

-one, it was quiet with him smiling at you half of the time. not being able to talk because he was so happy.

-two, he'd end up talking to you about some nonsense or his magic shows, not wanting it to be too awkward or too quiet for you.

-either way, thank him in the end. he'll be jumping over clouds because he managed to help you in some way.

-just keep praising him, he'll be all over you. he's a complete simp for you like that.

-but of course, his ego was too big. but not until you started showing clear signs that you were tired. he gave you a few glances, "side-eyes", before stopping and looking at you. looking at you as if he was waiting for something.

-you'd just say "nothing." which would make him even more angry. at that, he just rolled his eyes and said "oh, shut up." before taking you in his arms and continuing to walk with you in silence.

-if you mentioned a single thing about that EVER, you would basically be asking for punishment (whichever type of it lol).

-just say a little "thank you" after you're done and let him quietly mutter that "you're welcome".

-he was glad he got to be close to you like that.

-listening to the birds chirping in the background, or maybe even the townspeople talking about some things, it was peaceful nonetheless.

-it was very calm. and at some point, he would start humming some melody. compliment him. he'll blush but he'll be extremely thankful, and will definitely hum next time you take a walk around fontaine.

-and when you get home, he'd make you rest and give you some cuddles, hoping that you would "recharge" that way.

Whatever you do, it's that sweet golden spot on his neck, so he'll get flustered when you touch it. Gaming's leg bounced nervously as he waited for the doctor to let him come and see you. After waiting for what felt like years the doctor came into the waiting room. "You can see her now-" Gaming barely let the doctor talk before racing past him to your room. He took a breath and calmed down before he opened the door and all his worries and anxiety just melted away when he walked into your room. You were bouncing your newborn son in your arms as you looked up at him. "Gaming, come here" you said softly. He walked over to the side of your bed and kissed your forehead softly. "Are you alright?" he asked softly. You nodded and looked down at the baby. "Do you want to hold him?" You asked. He nodded and gently took the baby from your arms. He fought back tears as he saw the baby for the first time. "He's perfect..." Gaming said softly as he kissed the baby's forehead.

When the doctor told him it was okay for him to see you know he immediately rushed to your bedside and looked down at you and your newborn daughter. He spent the majority of your pregnancy worrying about him becoming a father. He didn't think he would be a good father and he never imagined himself having children until he met you. But when he saw you holding your daughter, he just knew everything would work out somehow. He smiled and kissed you gently. "How are you feeling?" was the first thing he said. As eager as he was to hold the baby, he wanted to make sure you were alright and healthy. "I'm okay, I just need some rest" you said tiredly. He nodded "then let me take her, you get some rest" he said as he kissed you. You nodded and let Xiao take the baby. You closed your eyes and fell asleep within seconds. He looked down at the baby and he smiled and cradled the baby close to his chest. He was so overwhelmed by so many different emotions he just used this moment to hold his daughter while you rested.

He held your hand tightly as the doctor went to go wash your newborn daughter off. Kazuha kissed you softly "You did great, dear." He said softly. The doctor gently handed the baby back to you and you and Kazuha both looked down and both of your eyes welled with tears. "She's so beautiful" Kazuha said as he rested his chin on the top of your head. He had spent so much of his life running away from things and memories but when he met you, he felt like finally felt at home with someone. And bringing a child into this world just made him feel even more at peace and at home with you and that day he made a promise to himself to protect you and your daughter no matter what.

You tried to stay perfectly still as Lynette measured you...how had you gotten in this position? You weren't really sure, all you knew was that Lyney was special ordering you a outfit for his next show and he'd asked his sister to measure you, only she seemed a little perplexed with the results. "You're eating right? You make sure to have three meals a day? Maybe even some snacks?"

You raised a eyebrow at her, "Yes of course. Why do you ask?"

She paused for a second, her features not giving any hint to what she was feeling, "Your measurements are just very small, for a second I was worried you might need to eat more."

"Nope, I was actually worried about that at first as well, but I always make food and she eats it. She's just naturally thin, which is exactly why I'm thinking you'll be perfect for the trick I have in mind...if that's alright of course?"

You and Lynette turned your attention to Lyney as he walked up to you, his eyes sparkling with inspiration as you contemplated his request. "Hmm do I get a kiss after the show?"

"As if you wouldn't mon amour~"

"Woah here let me get that for ya!"

You'd heard them a few to many times lately, you knew Gaming was only looking out for you, he was a caring guy and he truly just wanted to make sure you were okay all the time...even if he was being a little to...over protective. Yes you were a bit scrawnier than he was...his claymore probably weighed more then you did, but that didn't mean he had to do everything for you..., "Hey Gaming? You know you don't have to do all that stuff for me right? I can do it just fine I swea-"

"Oh I have no doubts you could, I just figured when I'm with you, you shouldn't have to. Hmm how do I put this...you're one of the most precious things to me, so I want to take care of you." He scratched the back of his neck, a blush creeping onto his cheeks, "Maybe I was over doing it though...sorry. Promise i'll remember that for next time, for now lets enjoy some dim sum!"

Venti wrapped his arms around your waist tightly and rested his chin on your shoulder, watching as ran your fingers over the details engraved in his lyre. He'd been teaching you how to play little by little everyday and now you could almost strum a whole song...but it still just didn't sound as good as when he played it, "Venti do you think one day my music will induce feelings like yours does? I want to play you a melody that leaves you feeling calm and happy, just like you do to me."

He smiled softly and kissed your cheek, his embrace growing slightly tighter around your slim waist, "I think one day you will make music that leaves everyone feeling calm and free, you have talent and a beauty even crystal flies would be jealous of."

You felt your cheeks heat up at his words and butterflies fill your stomach...one day. One day you'd play him a tune that explained every feeling just right and then when he held you tightly after, chuckling happily and making a joke about how he hopes he doesn't break you with his hugs...you'd tell him just how much you loved him and it would be the most perfect of days.
