Yohoho, and this is Secret Santa 2025! I had jarrich booked at the festival and Peter Gregory/Gavin Belson in drag. It was an interesting experience. In return, I got a fucking edit on dinfoyle.

By the way #jarrich is a bit too eh. cutesy peirings for me? I get bored with them, ahahahahahahaha, so I never draw them at will.

Promising but maladroit young tech genius Richard Hendricks finds out his arch-rival, Gavin Belson, a petty, vindictive, scheming billionaire who has tried to destroy him more than once holds the patent that would make his dream project come true.

So of course, like any normal person, he ventures out, in the dead of night, to pay a visit to said powerful arch-rival's big dark castle in Romania... ahem... his humongous mansion in Silicon Valley.  

Oh, have I mentioned that our techie has also lost one of his sneakers in the process, and is walking into Drac... Gavin's driveway with a mismatched pair of shoes?

Little Red Ridden Hoodie walks up to Big Bad Belson's front door, and of course it's decorated with the haut-relief of a lion ("in repose", as Jared would put it). 

The Wolf himself answers the door, all glistening dark eyes, motions him in with a raised eyebrow and a countenance that says: "Well, DO come in, my damsel in distress - but at your own peril."

And I mean, in comes Twinklarella, lowering his hoodie and coquettishly fluffing out his ginger curls, as he blushingly glances with his big blue doe-eyes at the very same CEO who promised him during a heated phone call that he would BEND HIM OVER HIS DESK AND F*CK HIM SO HARD... 

Now, tell me, in all seriousness, with such lore (both internal and referencing classic narratives like Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Dracula), how is one not supposed to immediately launch a thousand ships for these two?!!

Yes, Gavin Belson is hands down a terrifying and ruthless antagonist in Silicon Valley. "Villain-coded" doesn't even begin to scratch the surface

At the beginning of my Silicon Valley binge, it was all Gilfoyle this, Dinesh that. I didn't get the fascination with Jared/Richard, Gavin/Richard, let alone Gavin/Peter (their past together, because they were obviously a thing).

And then, when there were no more fanfics on Dinfoyle to read, I started reading the Gavrich ones, and... oh boy. How could I not have seen it all along?! The delicious power imbalance, the hate sex, the brattiness, the possessiveness, the subjugation and domination.

And when I finished all the Gavrich fics? Well, reader, I started writing them... 😅

One of the great things about fandom is that sooner or later you will think to yourself: I would never write/read x kind of story, I would never ship x kind of pairing, I would never do whatever fandom thing, and then, if you stick around long enough, you will 100% become a clown of your own making. It’s inevitable and I love it.

Вторая часть подарка на Тайного Санту 2025, а именно Грегорины в драг-образах. Я так и не нашла на английском какого-то обозначения этого пейринга, ахаха. Мне понравилось это рисовать. Довольно стеклянный шип на мой взгляд.

this may have been one of the worst weeks to become obsessed with sickly Victorian navy men but it’s kept me sane.

gavin belson was soo close to being a perfect antagonist. my only gripe with him as a character is that, for a no-punches-pulled satirical amalgam of the worst and the wealthiest people in tech, he had way too many redeeming qualities. his go-to way of interacting with his board of directors was reenacting aesop's fables. after he lost the company which he had founded and run for decades, he took to writing romance novels. he had not one, not two, not three, but at least four long-term toxic professional relationships with other men.
