*I left out my four least favourites because there's 16 on the anthology, but those four were: Tissue (Imtiaz Dharker), The Charge of the Light Brigade (Alfred Tennyson), Poppies (Jane Weir), and War Photographer (Carol Ann Duffy) P&C students, I'm sorry if one of those is your favourites, but I picked my favourites based on first impressions, whereas with L&R I have personal experience with all of them.

it really annoys me how casual the invigilators are in exams. like today, i took an english lit paper. i was given 2 hours, fifteen minutes and a booklet with 13 pages to write on so i could answer four questions. 2 of those questions were worth 30 marks, 1 worth 24 marks, and the last worth 8 marks- so naturally, it took a lot of planning, and a lot of writing. i finished the booklet after answering the third question, so raised my hand to get someone's attention to be given more paper to write on. at this point, i had roughly 15 minutes left. it took 3 for someone to notice me, 30 seconds for them to walk over, a minute for them to get the paper, and another 30 secs back. i physically couldn't do anything to continue writing in the 5 minutes it took for them to get me another answer booklet, which i then had to re fill in with my details at the top. like this is?? my exam??? it's important?? they just do not give a single damn about the time limit hjhfkgkg

My vision fell, a void washed over me. i longed for it to return yet my begging was flawed, i couldn’t amend my deeds.
i felt my hands gravitate towards this being with an all encompassing force, my fingertips dwelling on the possibilities. yet they were placed, with such delicacy, such care. and they began to trace. i endured the texture before me, grasping in the details, what was its story? the ridges, the lines that passed through my senses seemed to scatter like the worn branches of a family tree, divulging me in the past present and future of what lies behind the surface. i yearned for the knowledge, i could sense the ageing skin like the rings inside a tree. every asperity clawing beneath my fingers leaving me with wonder, wonder of what kept them in accumulation, accompanying what led them to decay.
• start of a practise for english language p1 q5 heheheeee. praying for a good prompt🤗

English Lit Paper 2 was alright; I managed. The essay question for Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde was cruel, it was about death. There are only three characters that die in the entire novella! But I managed to write 4 paragraphs, I had to be creative so I wrote that Hyde almost killed that girl in Chapter 1. Poetry was beautiful, they gave us The Class Game which was brilliant because I used the context from Blood Brothers. Unseen poetry was alright but it wasn't bad. I think I got 60 out of 80. Overall, I'm predicting that for GCSE English Literature I'll get 122 out of 160 which is a grade 7 or 8. I'm not going to be done with English Lit yet though as I picked it for A Level. :)
